Chapter 103: Please Kiss Me

Goldstreak walked hurriedly through the center of the base, her golden legs taking long strides along the shortest route leading to her quarters. She left the training area with her head bowed and an unsettling bubble of anxiety in her stomach. She couldn't stop thinking about the way that her swords slid out in the training area so accidentally, swords that she didn't even know she had, and how out-of-control her actions were. She felt so immature and insecure. Her negative thoughts attacked her from all directions.

You could have killed Sunstreaker!

The guilt ate away at her guts. After what seemed to be an eternity of walking through the metal and concrete base, evading shocked looks from both Autobots and surrounding human soldiers at the mere sight of her, the golden femme finally arrived to her quarters and shut the door behind her.

As soon as the door clicked in its place, a moment passed in pure, deafening silence where she could hear her negative thoughts in her head grow even louder. Her mind was constantly berating her for her impulsiveness and lack of control. Unable to suppress the negativity, she clenched her fist and slammed it on the table adjacent to her. The metal echo resonated through the empty room as she paced around the couch in the center, trying to calm herself down. She put her palms to her forehead and sat down on the couch, holding her head in her hands as her elbows rested on her knees. Little help did slamming her first on the table do to ease her. The poor femme's legs started hopping and bouncing nervously, and the anxiety ate away at her innards while goosebumps, like needles, poked through her entire frame.

Unable to withhold a strong façade, Gold wrapped her arms around herself and felt her lips quiver. Her mind flashed back to what Ironhide said today at the training session.

"Primus knows how angry Optimus would be if all the others saw this embarrassment here." Ironhide's degrading opinion replayed in her head, over and over, and it wasn't too long until hurt tears formed in her blue optics and she started sobbing. It was quiet, almost imperceptible. The hurt surrounded her spark as hot tears fell on her thighs, splattering across her golden metal armor.

I didn't deserve this.

She covered her mouth with her soft hands to quiet down the sobs. She didn't want anybody passing by her quarters to hear her. It would just cause more unwanted attention. All that Goldstreak wanted right now was to be alone.

"Why are you crying?" She suddenly heard a mech's voice in front of her. She raised her bowed head and looked up, spotting her silver colored brother standing over her with his arms crossed and a flat facial expression. Ever the indifferent Silvershot. She didn't even notice him enter the quarters.

She took a while to respond, as she wanted to calm her hot and distraught systems before speaking up. She quickly wiped away the tears from her optics, but the pain made her throat burn. The femme gulped hard to make it go away. "They all want me to be someone I'm not." She inadvertently let out a sob at the end of her sentence. Primus, she felt so weak and pathetic.

"Who do they want you to be?" Her brother inquired, crouching in front of her to speak to her at the same eye-level.

She wiped her nose and her hand fell down on her knee in an aggravated manner. "I don't know, some advanced Goldstreak that I have no idea how to be. First off, I have no idea who all of these bots are, and they're always around me! They all tell me that we're friends, comrades in this war, but I don't know who they are, and I don't even remember ever seeing them! How did we get here, Silvershot?" She asked helplessly, looking into his optics. "What am I missing?"

The mech shrugged off her question. She found his lack of compassion to be an ugly display of his personality. "As you can see, they're pretty much all you've got on this planet. You know you're not on Cybertron anymore, and things have changed, so you need to adapt adequately." He said in his no-nonsense voice. "And you'll be fine."

How she hated instantly that he told her she'd be fine. There was now way she'd be fine when he didn't understand her situation.

"I won't be fine, Silvershot, because I don't know how to act like this Goldstreak that they want me to be!" She yelled out, the stress burning at the back of her head. "Nothing makes sense here! It's like I'm in this nightmare and I can't seem to wake up!" She said as the stress was climbing up from her tanks to her spark. "And then I cut Sunstreaker's hand in training, and he was bleeding energon, and-"

"That's all normal when you're training. Stop being so distraught." Silvershot responded coldly as he stood up. "It shows you're weak." Seeing as Goldstreak's frame only sagged even more and her back met the backrest of the couch, Silvershot took a different approach, by giving a slow sigh and crouching back down to her level. "You're not as disappointing as you think you are." He tried easing the situation, but he wasn't the best at giving pep talks, and it definitely showed.

"Wow, that does wonders to my confidence." She snorted and looked at him again. He gave a half-apologetic shrug. "Can I get a hug?"

This time, Silvershot snorted and stood back up. "Go work on yourself and try to be the Goldstreak that they want you to be. After all, these Autobots may be the last of our kind." He added as an afterthought. "And like I said, best to assimilate quickly."

"What do you mean?" She asked. "And when did we even choose factions?"

"Cybertron's destroyed, you heard what those bots said. Accept it, adapt, and move on." Silvershot shrugged and made his way out of their quarters. Goldstreak's nose scrunched up as something didn't quite make sense to her. Why did, every time she asked her brother a direct question about what happened, he change the subject? And how did he know what those Autobots said when he wasn't even there?

Something didn't seem right to her.

Goldstreak stared at the open door trance-like, meaning that her mind was going a million miles an hour while her frame was perfectly still. However, before she could ponder more on these facts that didn't add up, a certain golden mech appeared at her doorstop. Primus knew that Sunstreaker couldn't go on more than a few minutes without checking on her. Sunstreaker knocked on the open door. "Hey Gold." He said, holding up their swords from the training area in his hands. "I brought this to you."

"Thanks, Sunstreaker." She smiled, and then a thought passed through her mind. Perhaps he saw Silvershot in the hallway? They only missed each other by a few seconds. "Did you see…?" She pointed with her finger towards the door, insinuating on the bot who left her quarters in the last minute.

"Who?" Sunstreaker's eyebrows knitted in confusion as he tilted his head out the threshold to see if there was anyone in the hallways he missed.

"Never mind." Goldstreak waved dismissively with her feminine hand. It didn't even matter whether he saw Silvershot or not. The golden mech just came to drop off the swords anyway. "Thank you for bringing me my sword." She smiled as she stood up and took possession of it and slid it back into her wrist. "I didn't even know I had swords." She gave an awkward laugh and scratched the back of her head.

Sunstreaker slid his sword back into his wrist as well. "I'm sure you'll start finding out new things about yourself soon enough." He offered a kind smile as they stood at the threshold.

"You mean I have more weapons inside my frame that I don't even know about?"

"Yes." He nodded. "But one step at a time, okay? I won't let Ironhide push you like that again." He promised protectively.

Although Goldstreak got a lovely warm feeling in her spark upon hearing those words, she didn't want to let him notice that. "I'm sorry for hurting you during training today." She saddened. "It wasn't my intention, I don't know what happened. It's like I wasn't controlling myself."

"Don't worry about it." Sunstreaker waved her off, knowing he had to clean himself up afterwards, and pay Ratchet a visit for replacement parts. "It happens all the time. That means you're just remembering your old self."

"May I see your wound?" She sheepishly asked. Sunstreaker was slightly reluctant, but showed her his palm anyway. There was a patched up wound that his own nanobytes were working on completely healing. Secretly, she liked touching his hand, to feel the softness of his palm's inner plating.

Sunstreaker asked her a question softly. "What are your plans for the day?" Internally, he was hoping that he could spend the day with her.

The femme honestly didn't know, but what she did know is that she wanted to take a break from all of this. Today was already stressful enough, what with the day starting off by pretending to know bots she never saw in her life, having to abide some Prime and medic's rules and listen to their presentations and behave accordingly, and then become an embarrassment to the weapons specialist who looked like he was built to kill.

"I… have some datapads to read." She lied and let go of his hand. "Ratchet wants me to keep studying on the events that happened on Earth, so that tomorrow he can ask me what I remember."

The golden mech wasn't dumb, he knew she was straight out lying. But he didn't want to act smart and shove that in her face, because then, knowing her, she would shut him out. So, he gave her the reaction that she wanted. "Alright. If you need help with that, let me know. I was there too." He offered. She gave a small smile, still wanting to have her peace and solitude. Sunstreaker got the hint. "I'll see you tomorrow." He moved away from the threshold and walked away, after giving her a long look that insinuated that it wasn't what he wanted, but respected her wish anyway.

Goldstreak sighed once the mech was out of sight. Not even a single week passed that she's been on this base and there's already unnecessary tension between her and everyone else. "Ugh, I just want a break." She went to close the door to her quarters and exhaled loudly, trying to exhale the stress from her body. She went to lie down on the couch, staring at the ceiling with her fingers interlocked on her stomach.

Managing to suppress all the thoughts that previously wouldn't give her rest, she closed her optics and exhaled once more.

She fell into a light recharge shortly after.

Sunstreaker grumbled to himself after he left the threshold of Goldstreak's quarters, but only after he knew that he was out of hearing range. Inadvertently, he ran into Ratchet at the same moment in the corridor, who happened to see what happened at the threshold of the femme's quarters.

"If you keep bugging her every waking hour, she's just going to evade you." Ratchet commented as he walked past the golden mech.

"And if I don't, somebody else will." Sunstreaker stopped walking and turned around towards the medic, who passed him by a few steps. "She's mine, Ratchet, you know that." Sunstreaker possessively responded with a low growl at the end.

The yellow medic stopped and turned around. "The soul that wins her spark will be the one who is patient and understanding to wait out her walls." Ratchet wisely quoted.

"What the frag is that supposed to mean?" Sunstreaker frowned.

"It means give her a break, you idiot." Ratchet brought a hand to his forehead.

"Whatever, old mech." The golden bot waved him off, turned away and left the corridor.

Even though Sunstreaker's subconscious mind told him that Ratchet had a pretty valid point with his wise words, his gargantuan ego overtook his actions. Gold belonged to Sunny, and Sunny alone, and he was going to engage contact with her in whatever way he could. She was finally alive now, and that's all he ever wanted. He'd be damned if someone took her away from him again. After all, you don't get second chances in war. This miracle happened somehow, and he wasn't going to let it waste away.

Sunstreaker's processor started pondering on what kind of strategies he could use to make her become his one-and-only again. Surely he wouldn't take Ratchet's advice. Goldstreak built high walls before, and they were nearly impossible to break down. The way that they reconnected was when Sunstreaker lowered his ego and let her help save his life when the Insecticon at the Academy attacked them. But seeing that she doesn't remember any of her training, there's no way she could save him if an attack like that happened again.

So, the golden mech needed to develop a new approach to her. He walked out of the base and jumped, transforming into his Lamborghini alt mode and drove away past the guards and rails, the desert sand rising into the air like dust as he sped off. He needed a drive to clear his mind and make up a good plan. Because at the end of the day, Sunstreaker knew one thing: waiting wasn't going to win her over.

Action was.

Later that day…

Goldstreak woke up from her light recharge with the arrival of a message on her head-up display. She hazily opened her blue optics and sat up on the couch. She felt slightly relieved when she woke up, as opposed to how she felt when she fell asleep.

The golden femme opened up her message hub and saw that Sunstreaker requested to see her, sending along a string of coordinates for her to drive to.

For a few moments she was hesitant about her reply. It was around 2 in the morning now, which meant nothing to her other than the fact that most humans and Autobots would be asleep now. She wanted a bit more silence and solitude, and perhaps to lock into a more peaceful, deep recharge.

She looked to the back of her quarters, where the berth was, and saw that Silvershot wasn't in the room.

Weird.

Shrugging off his lack of presence, Goldstreak focused back on the message that Sunstreaker sent her.

::Hey, Gold. Please meet me at these coordinates. I'd like to show you something.::

Her stomach churned. It looked like a recharge wasn't going to take place, but rather a cube of energon instead.

What have I got to lose? I might as well meet with him.

Goldstreak finished her thought chain as she left her quarters to grab a quick cube of energon, confirming her invitation to Sunstreaker. It wasn't long till he saw the message and said he'd wait patiently for her to come.

As Goldstreak drank her energon cube, she couldn't shake the sensation of familiarity about Sunstreaker, because it lingered in her mind for the longest time. That, plus the weird thing that her own spark did a few days ago, how it led her straight to him without any directions or GPS coordinates. Even she wasn't that dumb, she knew there was something bigger going on here.

Goldstreak left the base and transformed into her alternate mode. She had no idea what it was. All that she knew was that it was yellow with a six figure price tag, but none of that meant anything to her. It was a human currency and a human alt mode, and yet she didn't know the slightest thing about it, nor how she even got it.

Ugh, just more questions I got to find answers to.

Without wanting to give much thought on that subject right now, her curiosity took over, thinking about what Sunstreaker wanted to show her. It wasn't long before the golden Ferrari took off, sand dust rising in the air behind her.

After about 40 minutes of driving, Goldstreak arrived to her destination, which was a forest. It wasn't a very dense forest, but the branches and leaves of the trees were thick and widespread enough for grass beneath to grow, which was odd seeing as the entire area they were at was pretty much a desert. At least this one had a sort of mini-oasis.

She transformed into her bipedal form, casting the bright lights from her headlights onto the road and forest in front of her. She walked slowly into the small forest, enjoying the gentle, cold breeze that caressed her frame. Even at night, the desert was warm, and the light breeze felt refreshing as it cooled her circuits and armor.

Goldstreak stopped walking when she caught sight of Sunstreaker in the middle of the forest, looking up at the full moon above. The area of the forest he was in seemed different than what she'd expected. Sunstreaker found a spot inside the forest where the trees didn't grow, and above them were no branches. It was a small, open circle of clear sky view, and Sunstreaker was looking through it towards the white moon.

The young golden femme couldn't help but look over his frame. He was very pleasing to the eyes, with a tall and strong frame adorned with expensive paint and polish. He stood so strong, so regal and yet, appeared to be too entranced by looking at the moon to notice that the femme had arrived. She secretly thought to herself how she wouldn't mind looking at him all day. Such an attractive mech didn't appear twice in a lifetime.

"Hey." Goldstreak softly said as she walked up to him. The mech looked at her with a smile on his face, happy that she safely arrived. "How are you?" She asked.

He smiled and walked over to her as both of them stood in the circle where, above them, was a clear view of the late night sky. "I'm doing well. Do you like it here?" He asked.

Gold looked around, and although she didn't really know how to appreciate the nature of this planet, just the view of the moon seemed beautiful enough. If anything was familiar to her in this moment, it was Sunstreaker and the skies. From Cybertron, she remembered seeing its beautiful moons, which is what this slightly reminded her of. "Yeah. It's a lovely spot." She said with a smile of her own.

Then, Sunstreaker extended his arm out, pointing towards the ground beneath them, covered in soft green grass. "Sit with me."

"Oh, I thought you just wanted to show me something?" She cocked her head inquisitively.

"I will." He nodded as she gave a nod in return, and both of them sat down on the grass. Sunstreaker even lied down with his back, and stared at the moon above them as it cast a beautiful white light on both Autobots. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" His blue optics kept looking at the moon and the surrounding stars that looked like small white dots in the black sky.

Goldstreak mimicked his body language and lied down next to him. She looked at the moon and the stars. "It is." She agreed and sighed as the home nostalgia started hitting her slowly. "It's not as beautiful as the Cybertronian sky, though."

"Yes." He said. "But you'll learn to find beauty here. It's what you taught me."

"I did?" Goldstreak turned her head to him as the soft grass caressed her right cheek.

He turned his head towards her and looked into her optics. "Yes. Much like you, I didn't understand this planet, nor the humans. But you showed me there was beauty in everything. Even if it's only different from what we knew on Cybertron."

Gold didn't know how to reply, but Sunny didn't take his optics off of hers. The butterflies started dancing in her stomach at the long eye contact and her spark danced happily inside her sparkhold. Her spark constantly told her that they had a special closeness, a special "something", but she couldn't put her finger on it just yet.

Unable to fight the feeling of excitement and her spark telling her to get close to him, she scooted over and cozied up next to him. He extended his left arm out to hug her around the shoulders, but the moonlight lit the inside of his arm and she caught sight of something special.

"What's that on the inside of your bicep?" She asked curiously as she raised herself up on one arm. Sunstreaker took a glance at it and chuckled, looking back into her blue optics.

"That's you." He said.

"What do you mean?" Her eyebrows knitted in confusion.

"Take a closer look." He replied, leaving his arm extended out so that she could see the symbols that were engraved into his bicep.

She got closer and carefully read the Cybertronian symbols that were engraved into the plating of his frame. "Goldstreak." She said as she put a hand over it, feeling the depth of the engraved designation. "That's my name. Why do you have my name engraved on the inside your bicep?" Shock and confusion were written all over her face.

"You probably don't know, but it happened just before we woke you up with the Matrix of Leadership." He said. "When the Matrix was pushed into your chest, these lines of electricity, almost like lightning bolts, started flying out of the Matrix. One of them connected to you and hit me, leaving behind those symbols. It marked you as my mate for life."

Goldstreak looked at him with wide optics. "The Matrix of Leadership marked us as mates?" Sunstreaker nodded at her question. Her spark almost sang when she thought of him and herself as mates. The golden femme was utterly confused at all of this though, but if feelings were something to go by, she felt it in her spark that this was right.

"I've never lied to you." Sunstreaker said as he sat up to be at her level. "You know that I never will."

"I… believe you. All of this is just so confusing…" She put a hand to her head, trying to put all the pieces together. "I woke up on a different planet, in a grown-up frame, I have an Autobot symbol on my chest, I have a mate and a human alt form... and yet I have no idea how all of that came to be." She exhaled.

"What's the last thing you remember?" He asked curiously.

"I guess Praxus." Goldstreak shrugged. "I just remember my creators, Vectra and Railgun, arguing. After that, the memories just blur. I only remember being tired and falling asleep somewhere, then waking up on planet Earth, on Ratchet's berth in the medbay."

Sunstreaker's optics went wide upon hearing what the last of her memories were. He gulped loudly as his throat went dry. She wasn't only missing the Autobot team. She was missing the past 8 millennia. "Goldstreak, that was 8 millennia ago."

The golden femme's optics widened. "What?!"

Sunstreaker knew that he needed to remind her. He wouldn't want to keep something as important as this a secret from her, despite whatever slag Ratchet told him. "You and your brother Silvershot left your creators because of your father's aggression. You joined the Autobots to find asylum. That's what you told me." He made sure to omit the part where they had to go back to Praxus and found her offlined creators in the destroyed house she used to live in.

"I don't understand, how can I be missing 8 millennia of memories?!" She almost shrieked from the shock and anxiety, her spark-rate spiking.

"Calm down." He said softly in his deep voice, and she got a déjà-vu moment there, freezing in place. Her mind shortly flashed back to when she was looking for the refuelling area only a few days ago, and when she was panicked, the same voice told her to calm down. "It's okay." He consoled her.

Something in her spark started happening. Feelings of comfort, protection and soothing entered her spark from a bond that she didn't know she had. She looked up at Sunstreaker, who held her by the shoulders.

"That was you." She gasped in realization.

His eyebrows knitted in confusion. "What was me?"

"You, the-the voice in my head!" Her arms raised up on their own accord. "When I panicked while I was looking for the refueling area and ended up at your doorstep! That was your voice in my head!" She put a finger to his chest. Her spark was beating rapidly, half in excitement and half in anxiety, as she had no idea what this meant. "You calmed me down!"

He offered her a smile in order to calm her distraught systems. "That was me, yes." He nodded. "You may not be aware of this, but we share a bond. We have a mate bond. I didn't want to push it because I knew you were still in the dark about many things. I did it to protect you, and to calm you." The golden protective mech replied.

"Thank you." Goldstreak said sincerely. "It really did help." She couldn't help but start falling for the mech. Everything about him just seemed so pure, so honest.

Sunstreaker gently took her hand into his own. His spark started beating faster as he held her hand in his. He loved that she didn't pull her hand away. Subconsciously, he knew that she reacted well to his affection and care, and that he had her trust. "I'm sorry that you don't remember any of this." The golden mech spoke softly and planted a kiss on her hand. "But you and I were really close. I wish you knew what kind of strong bond we had. I care for you still, and I will forever. That was my part of the deal."

Guilt started spreading from her stomach to her frame, intertwining with excitement upon hearing the words of care come out of his lips. But guilt prevailed. "I'm sorry." She said in turn. Ever since she woke up on Earth, she's felt strange, confused and like she was always missing something. She knew that it was her memories, but she couldn't work with what she didn't have. "I know that we had something. If I'm completely honest, I've felt it in my spark from the moment I saw you."

She had Sunstreaker's attention now more than ever. He listened with open audios.

"I woke up on that table in Ratchet's medbay and I saw you, and my spark fluttered." The golden femme spoke as the moonlight gently caressed her frame, leaving a soft white glow on her body. "It was drawing me towards you since that day, and I didn't know why." She intertwined her fingers with his. "But I can't help that this feels right. Being in close proximity to you makes my spark happy. And even if I'm missing my memories, my spark recognizes you. And that's enough for me to know that I can trust you." She said with a soft blush at the end and looked away. She felt the inexplicable need to say that, and she didn't know whether that was the right thing to do.

He cupped her chin with his finger and gently brought her to face him. "You don't have to be shy about you feel. Your spark already knows how I feel about you." He said softly in his deep masculine voice.

Sunstreaker's voice had a very special effect on Goldstreak. It made her trust him blindly, despite the first impression she had of him. His deep voice pulled her in like a moth to a flame, and she couldn't say no. Whatever chemistry with him she didn't recognize before seemed clearer now, as if the fog was lifting. And not to mention on the physical level how drop-dead gorgeous he was. Everything from his sharp facial features, strong jawline, those broad arms and thick abs, attracted her on a physical level and she found him irresistible. And like the cherry on top of a delicious cake, his protectiveness of her and kindness and love towards her only made her fall head over heels for him.

And yet, with every interaction with him, she felt like she was on the verge of having more déjà-vu moments. If that was anything to go by, she'd say that her spark definitely recognized the mech in positive light. "I know..." She started saying, but wanted to gather her thoughts first. "I know that I recognize you. Everything about you is so familiar to me, but I can't remember where I met you or how well I know you, or why I trust you this much..."

"We met at the Academy." He answered. "That's where I saw your beautiful face for the first time." He softly said to her, looking over her face and gazing at the beauty that she was to him. She blushed upon hearing his words, and he found her to be the most beautiful femme in the world for it. "We were evacuating from one part of Cybertron to the other. The war for Cybertron started, so they sent us to the Academy so that we could be soldiers led by Optimus Prime."

"How did I become a part of that?" She asked.

Sunstreaker made himself more comfortable on the grass and noticed how beautifully her golden paint scintillated in the moonlight. "Based on what you told me, you joined the Autobots at the Boot Camp in Praxus. Then the war started, so you were sent to the Academy and that's where I met you." He explained slowly as she nodded. "You practically crashed into me." He chuckled.

A flashback hit her. Through fog, she remembered how panicked and scared she was, and the feeling of dropping in her stomach. She knew that she crashed into someone that left scratches filled with golden paint over her unpainted frame at the time.

"I crashed into you!" She exclaimed as the memory became clearer. "But it wasn't just me, someone else was also with me."

"That would be Sideswipe. He saved your life." Sunny nodded. "The aircraft we were flying on broke down and we all jumped out. Your parachute wouldn't open, so Sides took you and 'softened' the landing by pummeling straight into me."

She chuckled and then put a hand over her mouth. "I'm so sorry." She shyly said.

"That was a long time ago, sweetspark." He smiled at her and she internally melted at it. Both of them were constantly either smiling or grinning at each other by now.

"It's funny, it all just seems like a story for younglings." She chuckled. "Me dying, me coming back to life." Goldstreak still didn't fully understand the gravity of the situation, but she understood the sad facial expression that immediately hit Sunstreaker's face, wiping out whatever smile he had before. "But based on the look on your face, that was all real."

He nodded slowly. "Too real." The mood flattened and it became quiet. Goldstreak felt the need to address the elephant in the room. She was a very curious bot by nature and wanted to get answers head-on.

"I was gone for 5 months, you said." Goldstreak spoke softly as she played with his fingers. Sunstreaker enjoyed it. "How did you go on?"

With a heavy heart, Sunny spoke. His voice grew deeper and more baritone with the painful change of the subject. "I tried telling myself that life goes on with or without you. But I knew that I couldn't go on. Not without you." The mech signed. "Losing you was the worst thing that's ever happened to me." He looked down at her fingers playing with his. He pushed those sad feelings away and wanted to focus on the beautiful moments he was having with her right now.

"Can you please tell me what happened to me?" She asked with hopeful optics, desperate to know what happened to her.

"There's so much I can't say, and you can't know. It hurts." He saddened. "All I want is for you to remember."

She sighed, knowing that he was bound by the medic's orders to not say a word to her regarding what happened. "I wish I'd remember. Because the only thing so far that feels right is you." She confessed. "It's always you."

He cupped her cheeks in his warm hands and looked her deeply in the optics. Her face was his favorite face. "It scares me how much I love you." She chuckled. "But it's not hard to face my fears when they're this beautiful." He smiled and she blushed a nice pink tone. He felt relieved once he told her that. He couldn't keep it in himself to not tell her that he loves her. There was so much love left in him to give to her. He'd be mad if he didn't start showing her his true affection for her.

The young femme's spark fluttered inside her sparkhold as the butterflies in her stomach danced. She felt so happy in his presence, so safe and so loved. She gave him a hug suddenly.

Sunstreaker was obviously taken aback by this gesture. The last thing he expected was a hug from her, but he gladly accepted it. He returned the hug as none of them wanted to let go. Goldstreak's olfactory sensors picked up on his expensive polish smell and she wanted to inhale it, and feel the beat of his spark and the warmth of his chest pressed against hers. He was the safe anchor.

Sunstreaker, on the other hand, wanted to cry from happiness at the hug she gave him. He wanted for so long to be able to hug her, and now he finally could. And what's better, she initiated it and didn't want to let go. So he started caressing her back in soft, circular patterns as she leaned her head into the crook of his neck. He inhaled her scent. That was his femme. His one true love, and he knew it with every inch of his being.

The chemistry and connection between them grew stronger and impossible to reject. His loving words played over and over in her head, how much he loved her, how much he cared. She wanted to be with someone like that. She liked Sunstreaker and couldn't get enough of him. Goldstreak felt in her spark that she needed to do something.

The hug, full of caresses and soft whispers, lasted for a long time. Sunstreaker started planting soft kisses on the crook of her neck as she tilted it, wanting to get more. He slowly moved his soft kisses from her neck to the beginning of her jaw behind her audio receptors, to her cheeks.

She suddenly broke off the hug and looked into his beautiful ocean optics. "Sunstreaker." She said, anxiety and excitement flowing through her veins. She looked at him in the optics, sparkbeat running wild and an undeniable feeling in her spark.

"Yes, sweetspark?" He softly said as he brought up a hand to cup her soft cheek. He glanced at her lips before looking back into her optics. Her spark danced and started beating faster upon hearing his words of romance. Their faces were inches from each other, and inadvertently, or perhaps unknowingly, their faces started getting closer to one another.

"Please kiss me." She whispered in the silent night as her breath carried over the distance between them and touched his lips.

Sunstreaker couldn't wait for it. In the split of a second, he brought her face to his and their lips met together as a breeze passed around them, brining up leaves from the ground and rustling the branches of the trees. Soft lips kept clashing together, hungry for love, for affection.

The golden mech gently pushed her on her back and kept kissing her, the taste of her lips and her tongue reminding him of all the love he had for her, and how it only grew stronger. Through the soft movements of his lips, it was like his kisses told her that this is what he wanted for the longest of time, and that he was never going to let her go. His kisses were protective, affectionate, loyal and loving. On the other hand, Goldstreak was hungry for his love, like he was a remedy for everything wrong and confusing in this strange world she found herself in. She felt like she was addicted to his touch without even knowing it before. Without a shadow of a doubt, she accepted everything about him, guided by the feeling that this is what she should have done a long time ago.

Goldstreak wrapped her arms around his neck and brought herself up to kiss him more deeply. His hand slid behind her thin waist to help bring her up and return the kisses she gave him. Kisses exchanged everywhere. Sunstreaker kissed every inch of her beautiful face as she chuckled, giggled and blushed. The golden femme's spark was elated at the proximity of the golden mech's spark. Even they came closer to each other from the sparkholds of each holder, and rejoiced in being so close again.

He couldn't help but feel as if he was starting to date her all over again. But he would gladly do it as long as he got to have her by his side.

"You are..." Goldstreak started saying as she felt breathless and elated from the whole shebang she just experienced. "I'm the luckies femme alive if you were my mate for so long." She grinned.

Sunny let a laugh out. He brought his head down to give her forehead a kiss. "Babe, I'm the lucky one." He nuzzled his face with hers. She almost let out a purr. He whispered in her ear. "Even if you never remember, I will love you until you see your light again."

One BIG FAT THANK YOU for reading this chapter, and thank you for your patience! I hope you enjoyed reading it because I've been trying really hard to make this chapter happen. I wanted to put some fluff moments in there as well, because I'm a romantic at heart.

Also, I hope you're catching on to the small hints I'm dropping about Silvershot. I plan on making a big plot twist, bigger than the one where I brought him back into the story. You'll see soon enough what happens, but make sure you keep on reading! :)

If you're enjoying this story so far, please leave me some reviews, thank you! I worked hard on the romantic scene.
