Hey everybird! What's up!?

So thanks to the positive responses I got for the new idea I have in mind for the third Blu in Brazil, Jewel in Minnesota story, that will be done in the future! So I hope you're all looking froward to when that comes!

And before we get to today's questions, this story in this series will be like a follow up to what happened at the end of the last story, which of course marks a big change in Blu and Jewel's lives…

Now moving on to today's question and this one I can't believe I didn't ask sooner, but…

What is your rating (Out of 10) for The Rise of Skywalker and what are your general views on the movie?

Me: I give it a solid 8 out of 10, for me the movie was a very satisfying end to the Skywalker Saga and I think J.J. Abrams just managed to salvage what he could and tried his best to give us the best ending possible. However of course, owning to the 8 out of 10 rating, there were some problems that I think could have been taken out of the movie and it would still work, or certain scenes extended on.

(P.S. If your answer does have specific details, please remember to say "spoiler warning" first!)

Anyway moving on to your questions…

From Nightfly123, he asks, "What are your thoughts about the High Republic era of Star Wars, that has just been made canon?

Me: Honestly, I haven't read too much on it to have a clear answer, but from what I can see, I think it means it's likely a new trilogy about the Old Republic period may come in the future, which would be very nice to have of course, it is one of my top Star Wars wishes!

Valentine Troubles Part 1

It has been a few weeks since Blu and Jewel flew to New York City, where Jewel had to save the adopted daughter of two of her friends, by helping out a gang of thieves looking for the thousands year old treasure that last belonged to the freemasons. Luckily she tricked them, sending them off to a false clue away from the city while then finding the actual treasure, which was disturbed along the museums of the world. Only as Blu and Jewel were about to go home, back to Rio, with the jet ready to taxi off the runway at JFK, did it take a rather interesting turn as Blu asked a question that could very much change their lives.

And well Jewel didn't know quite how to respond, much less think why Blu would suddenly bring up something so random and well since than Blu, while not asking it directly, hinted at it and Jewel's response was always… "I'll think about it." And it only got worse as Valentine's Day was approaching, a day that everyone showed their love for others that they cared for and of course the city of Rio was no exception. It was actually a couple of days before the holiday as Jewel was actually not on one of her adventures, but doing a book signing at one of the bookstores in the city.

"Now who is this out to?" Jewel asked the next animal in line, a little Capybara girl as the small girl handed the famous author her newest book in the Daring Jewel series.

"Margaret please." The girl answered with a smile as Jewel set about writing a short message and ending it with the girl's name as the girl asked a quick question. "Mrs. Yearning, you think I could be an adventurer one day?"

"Of course, any little kid can if they want it, that's why I write these stories, to hopefully inspire others like you." Jewel answered with a smile as she handed back the book with her signed message underneath the front cover. "Enjoy and keep your hopes high kid."

"Thank you Mrs. Yearning." The girl smiling even bigger and left to allow the next animal in line to go up.

It was times like these that Jewel truly enjoyed being a normal author, it was of course quite relaxing and a different experience of being an adventurer, being able to interact with her readers who only knew her author identity was very comforting because of course they didn't bother her about what really happens, only what happens in her books. Of course today there was another reason Jewel liked these events, because once she got back home, she very much knew what was waiting for her…

The day soon began to come to a close and Jewel had no choice but to go home and prepare herself to face what was to greet her. As Jewel got back home, to her house by the edge of the forest by the city, she opened her front door and took a deep breath, letting it out before speaking out.

"Blu, I'm home, where are you?" Jewel asked as Blu didn't come to greet her.

"I'm in the kitchen Jewel." Blu's voice called back as Jewel then could smell the scent of freshly cooked pasta, with a wonderful smelling sauce to go with it.

"Okay Jewel, you just got to tell Blu, no more delays…" Jewel told herself in her head as she walked to the kitchen and saw Blu was now busy unscrewing the cork on a bottle of wine, two glasses ready to the side. "Well this is worse…" Jewel added in her head as Blu turned around and saw Jewel.

"Oh Jewel, how was your book signing? I cooked your favorite dish. And since it's almost Valentine's Day I thought we could cele…" Blu started, only to be cut off by Jewel, who kept her temper in check in front of her husband.

"Blu, we need to talk about this…" Jewel simply stated, trying very hard to not show an annoyed expression. "Living room now." Jewel commanded politely as she turned around and walked to the living room.

Blu, who was starting to pour some wine into the glasses, stopped as he put the bottle down and went to the living room, where Jewel was sitting down on the couch and motioned for Blu to sit down next to her. As Blu sat down, Jewel took her husband's wing and started.

"Look Blu, you know I love you and I don't regret marrying you, but having a kid or kids will be a big step and change in our lives and we just don't have the time and devotion necessary to pay attention to their lives." Jewel pointing out before saying the specifics. "What with me taking both the role of an author and adventurer and with you being a private jet pilot, it's just not right to bring children of our own into the world when we can't take care of them at the same time, at least not now."

Blu knew Jewel was right, if they were going to have children, they would need to sacrifice a lot of their duties for their children and even then it would still be very tough to raise them.

"You're right Jewel…" Blu sighed with some slight disappointment. "I'm sorry for being selfish, I guess I let the joy of being a father one day got into my head too much."

"That's okay, I'm glad you understand Blu, and we still have each other." Jewel smiled as she brought Blu closer to her with her wing and gave a kiss to her husband's cheek. "Now, how about we don't waste the delicious food you cooked, I'm starving."

And so the couple ate their dinner, enjoying it, but also having some awkwardness, what with the conversation they had right before eating, but it wasn't too bad as they then decided to relax back in the living room. Having a blanket over them, with Jewel snuggling up next to Blu and Blu grabbing the TV remote, they settled down to a lazy evening as they watched some TV. Only the relaxing evening they hoped to enjoy ended as Blu flipped through some channels and was about to pass a news channel, only for Jewel to stop Blu.

"The infamous criminal Nigel the Cockatoo was last seen in Australia, but has yet to be caught, it is assumed he may very well go after a new addition to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, a new piece titled "Two Doves in Love", by famous artist Oliver Jones, worth upwards of millions." The news reporter spoke before passing it along to another reporter currently at the museum in Sydney, but both Blu and Jewel didn't need to hear anymore, knowing the drill.

"I'll get the jet ready." Blu stated.

"And I'll get the backup for this trip." Jewel added as they both got up and got to work for yet another run at stopping a criminal, who was of course Jewel's most noteworthy nemesis, from taking a valuable object again.

And I'll leave it off on there!

A bit short, but I want to save what happens next for the next part!

And yes, I know it's very early for a Valentine's Day themed story, but I'm planning a short MLP Hearts and Hooves Day story over on the MLP archive of course, so I want to make sure I have time for that!

However I do hope you enjoy the fact that Jewel's finally going to Australia!

And with that…

See everybird later!
