"How many more minutes do we have?" Atem asked as he appeared on the balcony behind Yuugi.
"About two minutes."
They were on the balcony that was just outside the small apartment. They were seated in a chair, a blanked draped over them as they sat out watching the night sky.
"Time now?"
Yuugi looked down at his phone. "One minute."
There was a moment of silence between the two of them. It was getting closer and closer, people were appearing on the balconies of the surrounding apartments. People started counting down around them.

People were shouting around them, happy that the New Year was here. Kisses being shared between lovers.
The two of them sat there content, watching the night sky fill with fireworks and watching the colors dance against the darkness.
