I do not own any Glee
Chapter 64:
"I think you're being too paranoid, Quinn" Paige stated seriously, but calmly, "Next you're gonna say that Sam was responsible for that blog," Paige said with a chuckle… because that was ridiculous… but Quinn didn't chuckle back… her eyes went wide… as everything started to click… how did she not think about that before?! OH MY GOSH!
'Jacob Ben Israel here, and I have the inside scoop on the Cheerio/Glee member/Softball captain, that is Quinn Fabray. Everyone knows about this blonde headed, superwoman, multitasker, in school extra-curricular activities, but no one knows that Ms. Fabray actually is a villain in disguise. It's not just the top of the social pyramid Quinn Fabray is on top of… It's people. That's right fellow McKinley High students; Quinn Fabray has been making the rounds on getting anyone she wants. I guess Rachel Berry couldn't handle such a multitasker. From my source, that asked to be anonymous, Quinn has been doing a lot more in the girl's locker room than showering, she has made the rounds on a few Cheerios, and also some softball players. I guess our softball captain goes over and above her actual duties (a list of names can be seen at the bottom). But that's not all. We all thought this blonde was only interested in the ladies, but that's wrong… From my source she was recently locking lips with the new football player, Sam Evans. We don't know if it was of jealously from her sister who is claiming to be dating the boy or if her sexuality is just spouting into new directions or maybe those puffy lips of his are girl enough for Quinn Fabray. I will make sure to keep you all posted.'
Quinn stood in Paige's room with glazed over eyes, her eyes weren't concentrating on anything as her mind went wild… how could she not have put that together! "From my source she was recently locking lips with the new football player, Sam Evans." How stupid could she have been not to see this any sooner…
"Quinn?" Paige said with a chuckle.
The softball captain shook her head and refocused her eyes on her sister, "I need to go," Quinn stated seriously as she turned and walk out of her sisters' room.
"You don't believe that, do you, Quinn!" Paige voiced a little louder than her usual pitch, jumping off her bed to follow her sister down the hall.
Quinn turned to look at her sister, "How did I not see this before… of course it was Sam," the older sister didn't raise her voice, she was angry with herself right now for what has happened.
Rachel heard the commotion going on in the hallway and walked out of Quinn's room. Standing just outside the blondes doorway to watch the sisters interact.
"Don't be silly Quinn, why would Sam do something like that?" Paige said, her voice starting to sound angry.
"Don't you see Paige… it all matches up… Puck using me to embarrass him… then him joining Glee… then singing that song to you… and then the blog… of course it was Sam!" Quinn said as she shook her head in disbelief. Rachel's eyes went wide as she overheard her girlfriend say "then the blog… of course it was Sam!"
Paige rolled her eyes, "Quinn, why would someone go through all that trouble because they got a little embarrassed… you'd have to be bat shit crazy to take it that far."
The softball captain shrugged, "I don't know Paige, but do we really know Sam? He's only been around for like 2 months, and you had no idea who he was until you started dating. Do you even know why he came to Lima and why he's at McKinley? We know nothing about him!" Quinn was starting to get frustrated, not at her sister, but Sam… who the hell was this guy!
Paige shook her head… her sister was losing it… "Quinn, Sam is a 16-year-old… he's not some sociopath!"
Rachel remained silent at Quinn's doorway, she wanted to interrupt and tell her girlfriend she agreed with her… the facts all added up… but the sisters needed to sort this out. Ever since Sam came in-between the two blondes they had lost the connection they previously had.
"Paige, I don't know why someone would do this, but it all adds up and I'm not going to just wait around and do nothing about it!" Quinn voiced, frustration starting to boil.
The younger blonde huffed out in annoyance… "Quinn, you need to calm down… I won't let you go interrogate my boyfriend."
Quinn shook her head, "I'm not asking for permission," the older blonde stated seriously. Not waiting for a reply, Quinn turned around and continued to head down the hallway to descend down the stairs. As Quinn was about to make her way down the stairs, she saw her girlfriend at the doorway to her room… words weren't expressed but a silent nod from Rachel was all Quinn needed to continue her way down the stairs.
"Quinn, seriously STOP!" Paige yelled as she followed her sister.
Quinn didn't listen, she continued to descend downstairs… As her feet hit the bottom floor of the house Paige tried again to stop her sister, "You think someone has to have an ulterior motive to like me, Quinn," Paige said hurt.
The older sister, spun around, "Of course not, Paigie!" Quinn said softly.
Paige's eyes started to fill with tears, "Everything is always about Quinn fucking Fabray…" Steve and Judy stood up from the living room couch as they heard their daughters.
Quinn's chest tightened but she ignored the feeling and walked over to her sister, placing a soft kiss on her younger sisters cheek. As Quinn pulled back, she looked into her sisters tear-filled eyes and shook her head, "I hope I'm wrong…" and with that, she turned to leave.
Paige didn't have it in her to fight anymore, she just stood at the base of the stairs as tears streamed down her face as she watched her sister exit the house.
The softball captain pulled out her phone, taping on Puck's name in her messages and reading over the last text she sent the boy… "Puck… I'm so sorry for what I'm about to do. I never wanted to break your promise. I never wanted to do this, but I need to put my sister first. She has a right to know what happened. I'm going to tell her everything. – Q." Quinn ignored the fact that Puck didn't reply and quickly typed out a message, sending it before she hopped into the car. Puck, Sam was Jacob's anonymous source for the blog… I'm picking you up. – Q.
Quinn jumped into her car and headed towards her best friends place.
When Quinn sent Puck the first message that night, he read the message but chose to ignore it, not wanting to reply to the blonde. He didn't know whether he should be angry or not… Quinn chose to tell her sister… it was her sister… did Puck even have the right to be angry for that? But when he saw the next message come through, he jumped up from the couch and headed straight for the door, waiting outside until Quinn arrived.
Once the blonde arrived, the two best friends drove in silence… only breaking the silence when Puck told Quinn to turn left or right… the blonde didn't know where Sam lived.
When the two arrived, Puck sent a quick message to the blonde boy asking for him to come outside. Quinn turned to her best friend, "He lives at a hotel?" the blonde asked confused as to why Puck told them to stop at a run-down hotel.
Puck shrugged, "Finn told me he moved the other day, I didn't know it was at a hotel."
Sam walked outside of his hotel room creasing his eyebrows together as he spotted the two best friends in Quinn's car across the other side of the parking lot. The blonde boy quickly looked around the parking lot making sure no one else was around as he slowly walked over to Quinn's car.
"Are you ready to do this?" Puck asked the blonde. Quinn nodded as she took an angry breath in and out; both opening then closing the car doors behind them as they started walking towards Sam.
"What are you doing here?" Sam voiced as the pair walked closer towards Sam who was situated in the middle of the parking lot.
"It was you, wasn't it?" Quinn said with anger, moving closer to Sam; Puck standing a couple of feet away, letting Quinn take the reins on the conversation. Sam scrunched up his face confused. Quinn saw it and understood she needed to provide the blonde boy with more information. "The blog, you were Jacob's source," Quinn stated, it wasn't a question, she already knew the answer.
Realization dawned on Sam and a smirk formed on his puffy lips… Quinn rolled her eyes as her jaw tightened in anger, stepping closer to the blonde boy. "I thought someone as smart as Quinn Fabray would have worked that out sooner," Sam expressed with the smirk still plastered on his face. "Why did you do it?" Quinn voiced as she stepped one step closer… they were now less than a meter between each other.
Sam shrugged, "Why not?"
Quinn huffed out in anger, "That's not really an answer, why choose me?"
Sam shrugged again, "I just wanted to give you a taste of what I go through."
The softball captain creased her eyebrows confused, "As in how Puck and I embarrassed you on your first day at McKinley?" Quinn expressed as she held onto her anger.
Sam shook his head, "No…"
Quinn looked even more confused, "Then what?!"
The blonde boy huffed out in frustration, "I wanted to dismantle Quinn Fabray from her place on the social pyramid and put her where us normal people are."
Even more confused and angry, Quinn stepped closer, "you don't even know me."
"Yes I do… Typical narcissistic rich girl that gets what she wants… Doesn't matter what she does, she'll always be one of the most popular people at school," Sam said looking straight into hazel eyes, not getting intimidated by Quinn stepping closer.
Puck moved forward to stand next to this best friend, "That's uncalled for, asshole," the mohawk boy angrily expressed.
"No it's not, look at Quinn…" Sam said as he stared at the other blonde in the parking lot, "a lesbian dating one of the geekiest people at school… not even a cheerleader anymore… was written as a slut in a blog… yet when she rolls up in her Audi worth two hundred thousand dollars, everyone still adores her… you can't say it's not the money she has…"
Quinn rolled her eyes… who was this guy? It happened in seconds… the blonde tightened her muscles in her right arm as she curled her hand into a fist, stepping one foot closer to Sam… she was only inches away… she quickly moved her arm back, ready to propel it forward… Puck saw what his best friend was about to do and swiftly grabbed onto Quinn's hips, lifted her off the ground, turned his body around and then planted the blonde back on the ground… they exchanged a look as Puck breathe out "No, let me," and then turned around to face the other boy… his fist connecting to Sam's cheek.
Sam, surprised, his hand clutching over his sore face, stumbled back. Once the boy regained his footing, he looked over at the two best friends, he was smart enough not to retaliate.
"Dude, what's your problem?!" Puck angrily voiced as he shook his hand that was just connected with Sam's face.
"She is… and every other rich person in this world!" Sam yelled at his teammate.
Quinn moved to stand next to Puck… if she was honest, she was a little pissed at Puck for what he just did, but she needed to move on, she needed answers. Staring at Sam, "You know what Sam, I will not be put in a box from anyone… you can't judge me for my father's success in life… you know nothing about me!"
"Actually, I do… your sister has told me a lot about you and your past… how do you think I got the idea for the blog," Sam smirked through his bruised face. Quinn clenched her jaw together and was about to punch the asshole on the other side of the face, but Puck swiftly moved in again and sucker-punched the blonde boy.
Sam put his hand on the ground to stop falling; that hit was a little harder than the last. Once he steadied himself upright, he glared at the mohawk boy… nothing was said because he knew he provoked it. "Is that why you started dating Paige?" Puck asked angrily.
Sam nodded his head and then regretting it as his whole face was throbbing, "Mostly yes… at the start it was also to pull down Paige too... but then I saw how everyone was favoriting Quinn and I mostly wanted to get to you… and what better way than to sleep with her younger sister."
This time, Puck was too slow, Quinn lunged at the blonde boy. Sam however, anticipated it, he quickly dodged out of the way. The softball captain stumbled but with quick reflexes, she persevered towards Sam… this time Sam was too slow; Quinn grabbed a hold of his jumper and pulled him closer towards herself. Once the blonde boy was close enough, he turned his body around, facing Quinn; Sam tried to push himself away but the softball captain wrapped her arms around Sam's waist and tackled him to the ground. Sam squirmed but the weight training Quinn had been doing helped keep the boy on the ground. With that she lifted her right arm up and was just about to connect it to Sam's face but Puck grabbed her and pulled her off the boy. Anger coursed through Quinn and she tried to struggle out of Puck's grasp. "Stay away from my sister!" Quinn angrily yelled at the boy stumbling to get off the ground… Sam couldn't help himself… "too late" he whispered out as he stood up. Quinn knew the underlying meaning of Sam's comment and tried to lunge at the blonde boy again but Puck held tight around her waist.
"Let me go, Puck!" Quinn yelled angrily. As much as Puck wanted to let his best friend go, he ignored Quinn and he looked over at Sam, "Don't come back to McKinley!"
Sam rolled his eyes, "I have to go to school."
Puck, still struggling to keep a hold of his best friend, shook his head "Dude, you better not… I won't hold Q back and I'll be the first to punch you again!" the mohawk boy said angrily. Sam didn't know what to say… "leave," Puck yelled. The blonde boy looked at the two best friends and then quickly turned and walked towards his hotel room.
The mohawk boy continued to hold onto his blonde best friend until Sam was inside his room. Once the blonde boy was out of sight, Puck released his grip. Quinn turned around and glared at the boy, "What the fuck, Puck!" Quinn yelled, still surging with anger.
"I wasn't going to let you hit him," Puck tried to say calmly… he was still trying to calm himself down from what just happened.
The blonde wasn't calming down, "What gives you the right to punch Sam but I couldn't!"
"You have more to lose than me, babe… softball captain… softball scholarship…" Puck stated seriously.
Quinn took a big breath in and out… "Thanks, I wasn't thinking about that." The blonde stated as she tried to finally calm down. Puck gave his best friend a nod and a shrug, silently saying 'all good'. Both stood in the middle of the parking lot in silence, neither knowing what to do… the events of what just happening continuing to stream through their minds. The two best friends didn't expect the night to end up like this… did anything get resolved? Was Sam really not going back to McKinley? It's not like they could stop him, his parents will problem make him go. Least they hoped they got one thing out of it… Paige and Sam… there was no longer a Paige and Sam.
As the best friends started to calm down, they headed for Quinn's car. Once inside, Quinn grabbed her phone and saw multiple missed calls from her parents and girlfriend, she looked at the time and realized it was close to midnight.
Just like how the events of the night started, the two best friends drove in silence, once they arrived at Puck's, they exchanged a goodbye and 'see you at school tomorrow'. Quinn wanted to say another thank you to Puck for stopping her doing something she'd regret but for some reason, she couldn't.
It was a blur for Quinn on how she arrived home, she sat in her car in the driveway not knowing what to do. The front door of the house opened and hazel eyes focused onto the movement… Rachel came walking out with both Quinn's parents behind. Quinn took that as a sign to hop out of the car, all three sets of eyes looked over the blonde's body through the darkness… all fearing she was injured. Once Rachel saw her girlfriend was physically okay, she walked over and wrapped her arms around the blonde. "I'm sorry," Lucy expressed as she too wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. "Were you right," Rachel whispered, to which the blonde replied with a nod and a "yes."
"Then don't be sorry, Lucy," Rachel expressed as she moved out of their embrace and looked into her girlfriends eyes.
Quinn looked over at her parents who both had relief plastered on their faces. "Let's go inside, Sweetie," Judy expressed as she walked over to her daughter, wrapped her arm around the younger blondes shoulders and walked her to the house.
Once inside, the four walked into the kitchen; Quinn noticed Paige was there, cradling a cup of tea in her two hands. As their eyes met, Quinn could see the younger blonde had been crying. The older sister walked over and wrapped her arms tightly around her sister, "I'm sorry," Quinn whispered. Paige started to cry as she snuggled into her sister's embrace, "I'm such an idiot." The softball captain shook her head, "It's not your fault," Quinn whispered out. The sister's continued to embrace until Paige's tears subsided.
Mr and Mrs Madden embraced hands as they walked through the hallways of McKinley High; after Lucy reiterated what happened with Sam that was enough for them to decide to speak to Principal Figgins. Paige, Quinn and Rachel walked behind the couple, separating to go grab Paige's books for first period. Both Quinn and Rachel walked Paige to her locker, not wanting her to be alone. Last night was extremely hard for the younger blonde, she had so many feelings plaguing her… mostly of regret and hurt… regret for not believing her sister over a boy and hurt for trusting a boy she really shouldn't have. As Paige walked closer towards her locker, she could see a boy leaning up against it… Puck. Paige gave out a small smile as she looked at the mohawk boy, her eyes travelled down to his hands and she noticed bruises on his knuckles. Quinn nodded at her best friend and then embraced hands with her girlfriend, giving Rachel a little tug. Rachel took that as a sign to leave Lucy's younger sister, the couple walking towards their lockers. As the couple walked down the hallway to get to their lockers, they both noticed the blonde boy with sunglasses on, mostly covering his bruises… guess he didn't take Puck's advice. The softball captain took a deep breath in and out as she felt her girlfriends hand give hers a little squeeze for comfit. Lucy promised her parents she wouldn't initiate in conversation with Sam if he was to show up to school today, so that's what she did… ignored him.
The Madden parents weren't in Principal Figgins office for long; after they informed them that Sam was responsible for the blog, that was enough for Figgins to choose to expel the blonde boy… and that was it… Sam was no longer a student at McKinley High.
