January 16, 2016
Saturday. Nine in the morning and the only person moving around the house was Jacey Lowman. She was preparing for not one but two birthdays and it was hard. Harder than any other year due to the fact that Jacey was trying to tend to her eleven month old daughter and appease the requests from her older children for their party. She rolled her eyes at the baby girl who could still comfortably fit in the moby Jacey had been wearing for almost a year. Ashtyn was sound asleep and even drooling as she slept comfortably against her mother.
Jacey picked up the bag of balloons she had just rounded up and moved them towards the set of French doors that would lead out to the backyard before she made her way back into the kitchen to grab the family size bags of chips to take outside and set on the patio table.
"It's January and we're having a party outside." Igor shook his head slowly. "With no snow, i've missed snow this winter. I'm moving to a more complex area with all four seasons." He winked at the blonde as he walked through the gate and approached her. "Let me see her, stop trying to be so independent. You have us for a reason, to help you. So either I start decorating and you sit down or I take this tiny little thing."
Jacey shook her head. "Nien. I'll keep her, she is loving the music I supply her with. This is why they say it's good for a mama and her baby to get their bonding time in. She knows who I am just by this sound. She knows she is still with me just by this sound." She smiled at the man. "Besides I am done for now. It's only nine, the party starts in three hours which means everyone will start arriving soon. I have to get this one cleaned up and dressed plus your tiny girl. She wants free flowing locks and a cute outfit so Javier knows he has the best girlfriend around. Her words, I guess they're having an issue. Seven years old and already gotta show your boyfriend there's no one else like you. Sass queen or what?"
"Your sass queen. Your girls are just like you unless they're pissed, then they pick up on their dad's temper and your dad's temper. Russian anger is amusing, especially if it's not directed at you." Frey chuckled from behind the duo at the table. "I heard Cam wake up but I believe she went back to sleep. Just like you, lazy legs."
Jacey shrugged her shoulders. "I'm letting them all get extra rest and there's nothing wrong with that. Hap got home late, Ash is lazy and wants to snuggle her mama. Cami is getting extra beauty sleep even though she cannot be anymore beautiful and Kol Lowman? Who knows. He's wild as hell."
.
.
.
"Look at this shit here." Happy Lowman stood up and approached his best friend as he entered the backyard. Anthony Robles, his wife and their three children. The Robles and the Lowmans has become even closer as the two families spent more time together. Happy and Anthony realized just how much they had in common and easily enjoyed the other's company especially when their two blonde wives teamed up against the world together. "Give me that girl. Milena, don't let that ugly mug near you." He took the very wide awake baby girl from the man and kissed her forehead. "Drinks are by the grill in the cooler, presents tables are set up separately. Camryn's table is by the cooler, Kol's table is by the slide."
Anthony nodded slowly and smiled. "What? You didn't want a table too?"
"Nope. It's all about those two. Not me." Happy shook his head. "Cam is my present, every year I get to wake up knowing my girl was born on my day and that's great."
"But I got you a present, it's in the driveway." He smirked. "You know Milena was being a cry baby until she heard Nik mention Cam. Kajsa drew Kol a birthday card but she's nervous that it's ugly."
"Never be nervous of your art." Jacey smiled as she approached the group. "Your art comes from your beautiful mind and graceful heart, I am positive Kol will love and appreciate your card." She leaned down to kiss Kajsa's cheek. "Be confident about it, leave no room for people to try to tear you or your ideas down, my love."
"KAJSA!" Kol shouted as he climbed down from the bounce house as he spotted the petite brunette. "You came!"
"Yes! I did!" Kajsa waved at Kol before hiding her face slightly as she blushed. "I drew you a card Kol!"
He smiled as he took the card and looked at it. "All the pretty flowers, it looks like Grandma's garden. It's prettier though." He hugged Kajsa and grinned. "Thank you!"
She hugged him back and smiled. "You're welcome. Wanna go in the bounce house! I wore pants this time!"
"And Camryn is watching the grill with Igor. She said she has to make sure her guests get food and are happy." Jacey shrugged lazily. "So much heart."
Nik hugged her sister. "Where's the crazy sister at?"
"Not sure, she's not here though." Jacey shrugged as she looked at her younger sister. "Thank you for coming, the kids are happy about it."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Nik smiled. "Bri is probably running late, trying to figure out which dress goes with both Cam and Kol."
"Or she got lost in her garden like Alice in Wonderland." Spencer grinned up at Jacey. "Hi Blondie!"
The blonde scooped her nephew up and smiled. "Look at you, handsome. I love this outfit so much. Do you know where you got it from?" She kissed his cheek. "Cami's afraid she got stood up."
"Probably you," he shrugged and smiled. "I am handsome."
"Blondie!" Javier walked towards his aunt and grinned. "Where's my Camryn?"
"Wardrobe malfunction with the twins," Brianna huffed and smiled. "Don't have twins, it's not as fun as it sounds. Yev is bringing over the gifts."
Jacey leaned down to kiss her nephew and smiled. "Cam is keeping the guests fed, you wanna help her?" She looked at Bri before she took Noah into her arms. "Are you and your twin giving your mom hell? Should I keep Ashtyn from you two today?"
"I'm gonna help," Javier grinned. "Cam! I'm here!"
Bri watched Javier run off. "They're mad that they have the same pants." She looked at her sister. "Before that, he was upset because his name is Noah and not Mason."
The blonde shook her head as she pressed a kiss to the toddler's cheek. "You are Noah and that is very unique. You know that?" She smiled. "Come on, I'll show you why you're wearing matching pants. It's to match your girl, do you wanna see her?"
"Yes," Noah smiled. "Where's my Ashtyn?"
Jacey pointed to her daughter playing in her sandbox. "There is your baby. There you go. She's wearing the same color of your pants as a dress."
"Oh!" He nodded eagerly. "Ash! Hi!"
Jacey smiled at Bri. "See? All better. What is it about Lowmans that make everything better?"
"I haven't a clue but thank god for you Lowmans." Bri chuckled. "Javier changed three times before finding the right outfit for his girl."
Jacey pointed to Camryn. "She has been worried sick that he wouldn't like her hair, her outfit and he stood her up." She shrugged. "She's seven, where are the priorities?"
Bri smiled. "He'd never stand her up. He got us to leave the house. Put his foot down."
"Well the kids have activities. Ashtyn is getting sand in uncomfortable places plus eating it so we can just sit and relax. Ashtyn slept til seven, ate for thirty minutes then went back to sleep so she's in a very good mood in you need some baby sass."
"I am obsessed with all the babies, look at your husband and Anthony." Brianna pointed at the men as they squeezed themselves into the bounce house. "They're two of a kind for sure."
Jacey laughed as she sat down beside Nik. "Those are her husbands. I gave Hap to her months ago." She smiled. "Oh! There goes Kol's shirt. Anyone heard from our parents yet?"
"Dad is in Kol's room and mom is in Camryn's room," Nik chuckled. "They're going above and beyond of course. Yes, they are my husbands, I don't know if you know but my first husband bought my second husband a matching Impala and it's in the driveway with a skull bow on it."
"Your parents swear the kids have nothing to their names." Igor shook his head as he approached the table. "It is a circus in there. Wonder what they got Happy, his birthday is tomorrow too."
"Wouldn't be surprised if they gift him a damn bike," Brianna smiled. "Love your January babies."
Jacey shook her head. "January babies are rough. Then I have a February baby. I only have winter babies, god." She sighed. "If my stubborn younger babies had made it to term, they'd both be April babies."
"They're all happy and healthy. Look at Kol, he's down to his boxers." Nikola chuckled. "Poor Kajsa, she's gonna be pitching a fit when they're older and someone looks at her Kol."
The blonde laughed. "He could always end up ugly. He's just a beautiful baby right now, give puberty time. Maybe it will make him ugly."
"If you think my son will end up ugly, you have issues." Happy shook his head. "Look at that boy, look at his mama. Looks just like her but with that tan and the dark hair. That kid is gonna be all looks."
"Poor you two, he's gonna make you grandparents by the time he hits his early twenties." Brianna smiled. "I'm so excited already."
"I saw Kol's booty cheeks!" Kajsa dropped Kol's clothes onto Jacey's lap. "I need a break from the bouncy house, my dad is so crazy."
Jacey shook her head. "He's as crazy as Kol Lowman, babe. You can go build a garden with Cami, I got her distracted from being a hostess so she is off playing activities." She smiled. "I know you like spending time with her."
"Yeah baby, go play with Camryn." Nik smiled. "You'll have the most fun."
Igor shook his head. "Why is Camryn seven now? I just don't understand. Where did we go wrong? She agreed to stay two forever. The tiny fibber."
"I love watching the strawberry cupcake grow up, she's basically part of the reason I'm here with so many kids of my own." Brianna sipped from a juice box. "Do not judge, I love this flavor."
Jacey nodded her head. "Amazing but scary. She's growing everyday, becoming her own person with her own ideas and beliefs. She is so smart and her heart is so big. She's got a beautiful soul."
"Perfect mix of you and her dad," Aleksandr grinned. "We over did it again. I'm sorry!"
Jacey shook her head. "My children will be spoiled brats and it's your fault. They're gonna grow up thinking they're entitled dad." She sighed. "Did you see your youngest Lowman baby though? Eating sand and feeding it to Dmitri and Yev."
"Yes," Sariya hugged Jacey. "I'm about to go steal that little girl and get me some hugs and kisses."
Jacey smiled. "Wait on interrupting. She has spotted the newest suit, the big tall one. She's probably gonna rope him in too. Who is he again?"
"Honestly no idea," Sariya shrugged. "Every single time I turn around there's some new suit for me to dote on. It's a whole lot."
Igor shook his head. "That is Gregor, he's Monica's new suit. You've all met him before. He has quite the soft spot for Ashtyn though, an eye for Jacey too. He's sad to know she is married. What is it with you and suits, woman?" He sighed as he pointed to Ashtyn crawling near the grill. "I thought she was walking."
"An eye for me? I haven't done a thing. Blame dad, I look like him. We're just so beautiful." Jacey smiled at Igor. "There you go, mom. She's switched back to crawling for some better get onto her."
"She gets her neediness for male attention from her Aunt Brianna." Sariya chuckled. "Ashtyn! If you don't use your feet, so help me God."
Jacey laughed as the baby stopped crawling to wave at Sariya before she continued on her path. "What a smartass. Go ahead mom, just smile."
"I'm gonna just go dote on my granddaughter Camryn." She smiled. "I need to give her some birthday kisses."
"Ashtyn loves to give that woman hell," Aleksandr chuckled. "I love it so much."
Igor shook his head. "Who's the one most like Jacey? Cam or Ashtyn?"
"Ashtyn." He smirked. "Definitely Ashtyn."
"Look!" Anthony popped up beside Jacey. "Kol doesn't like that Kajsa is running around in her underwear like him."
Jacey laughed. "Why do you say Ashtyn? Oh no, he's a jealous thing like his father. It's precious."
"Because the attitude and knowing what she's doing. Where Camryn is more of a mix of you and Happy. If she's going to raise hell its going to because someone messed with her family." Aleksandr smiled. "All of your kids are just blessing me with their personalities today."
"Kajsa! You're nakey!" Kol shouted as he threw his flower necklace to the ground. "Where's your shirt?!"
"It's on my head!" Kajsa giggled before stopping. "Did you just throw your flowers down!?" She moved towards him and picked up the necklace. "Put it back on and I'll put my shirt on!"
Jacey covered her mouth, trying to hide her laughter. "Oh god. Look at the glare, he looks like his father." She shook her head. "And there go clenched fists, wanna know where he picked that up at? The Aleksandr Ivanov handbook."
"Kol!" Kajsa pulled her shirt on. "See, it's on! Why can't I be nakey when you're nakey? I wanna be like you. I wanna have fun like you!"
Happy scooped his son up and moved toward the table. "Sit with your mama. You don't clench up at your girl or any girl for that matter."
"Hey handsome," Nik smiled at Kol. "You've got a whole lot of presents over there."
Kol glared up at Nik. "Why is she nakey?"
"Because you are. She wanted to see what you liked so much about it." Jacey murmured as she started rubbing his side with her nails. "So upset but no true explanation as to why. Looks like new lessons for controlling that temper are on the agenda list."
"Look at the glare on him. It's all Aleksandr." Frey chuckled as he sat down across from Jacey. "Aleksandr can't deny that boy, anybody with eyes can tell that's his grandson."
Nikola chuckled. "I will get Kajsa to put her clothes back on but you have to know that she just wants to do what you do because you're her Kol and she loves you and doing what you do. Like, she even is drawing now and she learned how to ride the mini Harley that Creed has because you ride one."
"Kol," Kajsa looked at him before at her mom. "I'm not nakey no more. I found my pants and put them back on. I'm sorry okay?"
Happy lifted Kajsa up and kissed her temple. "Let him snuggle up to his mama for a minute, ok? He's grumpy right now."He set her on her feet. "Help me out and count all of Kol's presents for me, please." He watched the little girl trot off and he turned to look at his son. "Don't be a grouch all your life, boy. You be nice to her, she's too sweet for that glare."
"Is it time for cake and presents?" Camryn approached the table of adults and sighed. "You have to get Ash too, she's hiding in the bounce house from Grandma."
"Let's do presents!" Igor lifted up Camryn and peppered her face with kisses. "My girl, you've gotten so big. You look gorgeous today."
Jacey nodded her head. "Kol first if he's up for it. I'll grab Ashtyn." She moved toward the bounce house, stopping as she watching her daughter crawl away from Anthony towards her. "Is he trying to hog you and your hugs? Why are you trying to steal my baby, Anthony?"
"Because someone stole Milena," Anthony looked at Jacey and pouted before he gestured at Sariya. "She stole her!"
Jacey laughed as she pointed at Ashtyn. "She's Mother Superior, she can do whatever she wants. Look, Ashtyn is teasing you so come on out and bring her along. It is presents time."
"Present time, I got Happy the best present ever." Anthony scooped up Ashtyn and scooted out of the bounce house. "Come on Baby Brownie, I know your Auntie Bri is probably itching to get some kisses from you. Or better yet, your sister Monica is out there with your dad! She's probably eager to kiss you too."
Ashtyn grinned up at Anthony. "No." She poked his his chest. "Nom nom."
"Come here, you can not have those." Jacey held her hands out for her daughter. "Come on Ant, just keep it moving. She's a mess."
"A mess just like her aunts." He shook his head. "I'm gonna get Milena back, I'm gonna love on her and she's gonna squeeze my hand with her tiny hands."
Jacey shook her head. "Good luck with that. She is liking you right now, she won't even come to me."
"My nipples don't do anything," Anthony chuckled. "You wanna cuddle with Milena?"
Ashtyn shook her head. "No." She poked at his chest again. "Nom, nom. Puh-puh." She poked her lip out as she started whimpering. "Nom."
"Hey, that's not your mama. That's Uncle Ant." Happy shook his head as he took the baby girl from his best friend. "Your mama is a blondie, remember?"
"I need to hit the gym more often if she thinks I can feed her." Anthony laughed. "Kol calm down?"
Happy shrugged. "Sees nipples, not the tit. She's not used to a flat chest at all." He grinned. "He did, he's trying to open the presents."
"I thought I was gonna have to lecture him over my kid," Anthony shrugged. "It's not the end of the world if Kajsa wants to be naked. Better now than when she's older."
Happy shook his head. "Boys will be boys, man. You know that, boys will be men if they're surrounded by men."
"Kajsa is all about that boy, I think she's thoroughly confused on why he got mad when she just wanted to do exactly what he was doing." Anthony shrugged again. "I kind of want to ship her tiny ass to an all girls school when she's old enough but Nik told me she'd kill me first."
Happy shook his head. "I only wanna send Cam off so she gets the best experiences that sometimes I don't think we nor California can offer her but then I get selfish because I'd be a wreck without her." He pointed to his son. "That one too. That kid came in with a bang and already left his mark on me."
"Presents, Hap. Come on." Jacey approached her husband. "The boy needs his presents. He's sitting in front of the table with his girl."
"Yeah, presents Hap!" Kol appeared behind his mom. "Hap Low!"
"He has to open Kajsa's present first," Anthony smiled at Kol. "We're following you Kol, I wanna see all the cool stuff you're about to get."
Kol shrugged. "I have a lot, they're so big too. I like big presents." He grinned. "Where is my K's present?"
"Kk!" Ashtyn pointed to the toddler. "Kk!"
Kajsa smiled as she held out a present to Kol. "My Pops helped me wrap it up. I hope you like it Kol!"
"Thank you, K." Kol smiled as he sat down and started tearing through the paper. "Oooh!"
