Here is a new story about a young girl name Ruby who is working to become the first ever, female WWE Champion. See her go through her journey from the Royal Rumble to WrestleMania where she plans to make history. How will she do this? Read on to find out and thanks to theXman99 for his help.

53. Chapter 53

Chapter 53 is here, and it is time! It is time for Crown Jewel! My version not the WWE shitty version we keep getting. It is time for the World Cup Tournament and we will see who will go on to win the whole thing.

Will it be Kazuchika Okada, Seth Rollns, Pentagon Jr., Ruby Takashi, Lionheart, Jay White, Adam Cole, or Brian Cage? Who really knows? What I do know is all eight have all been world champions so its anyone's game really. Okay, well I do know who wins it since I did write the whole thing but no one else not even theXman99 knows since I want to surprise him.

So, we'll see who is going to win the whole thing and who will be seen as the best in the world. So, I want to thank you all for the support. I appreciate it and I cannot wait to show you all my version of the World Cup Tournament. How Vince should have done this and how he could have made a lot of money if he did this.

Also, disappointed in WWE for their TLC Show. While some matches were good, I didn't like how badly they were buildup and how some were booked. I also hated how after Asuka and Kairi won their match a few seconds later Vince had the attention off the women and towards the women. Not even giving the women a chance to have their moment and enjoy it.

Instead, he fucked them over by having the focus off of the women and to the men. It made me angry, especially how these women busted their ass in the match for over 25 minutes. One even suffered a concussion and yet that wasn't enough for Vince. So fuck that piece of shit and for pulling that bullshit.

All right, well with what being said we should get started with the disclaimer. I don't own anything from WWE. I only own my OC Ruby Takashi. Although, let's be honest do they own the people themselves? Probably not.

Still, better safe than sorry. Now, let the chapter begin.

London, England 10/20/2018

For the first time since 1992, WWE has returned to the Wembley Stadium. It was the first time in 26 years since WWE had a show in this arena and now history will be made once again. It was a sold out show with over 86 thousand fans in attendance both in the bleachers and even on the floor. It is also an open arena, so they have the lights ready when the sun goes down. Luckily for them there was no rain so the show could go on without any problems.

The entrance stage set up appeared as a large crown that had the international flags on it. From the United States, Mexico, Japan, and the United Kingdom. All four on the crown and the entrance stage is a long ramp that has blue carpet that is the same as the one for SummerSlam.

The setup at ringside has four large metal structures that have at the top holding up the flags of the four countries. The ring itself has been set up to appear like an international ring. The ropes having the red, white, and blue. The turnbuckle posts are all green colored, the mat is red, and the apron skirts on the side are all international colored each one representing the four countries.

The barricades have been replaced with metal barricades so it would feel more traditional. All while the commentators are at ringside. Each of the commentators chosen to represent their promotions, all except WWE which made some changes to the announce team. They have Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness, and Jim Ross who were all invited to announce the matches tonight.

They also have Jeremy Borash at ringside as the ring announcer. The crowd chanted Jeremy's name and were happy to see him here.

The pre-show kicked off with the fatal four-way tag team match, which featured some international teams. It was the Bar going up against the AAA World Tag Team Champions, Los Mercenarios (El Texano Jr. & Rey Escorpión), the British Invasion (Nick Aldis & Douglas Williams), and the IWGP Tag Team Champions, Guerrillas of Destiny.

The match started off quick and fast as each team went to try getting the quick win while also hitting some big moves to get the crowd going. The Bar took control of the match as they managed to get the crowd behind them. However, the British Invasion took back control after they knocked Sheamus to the outside. They took control of the match until Guerrillas of Destiny took them out and then began beating down the Bar.

That was until Texano Jr. was tagged in and began running wild. He took down every team until everyone began hitting their finishers. The Bar though came back in the match and began hitting their best moves as they prepared to finish the match. Until the Usos came out and took them out with a double Superkick.

Guerrillas of Destiny took advantage and go for the win but Texano Jr and Rey saved the match. The Usos go back in the ring to help Guerrillas of Destiny to help them win the match. Until the Bar attacked them and soon they began brawling on the outside. Guerrillas of Destiny managed to take out Texano and Rey but they soon got taken out by the British Invasion who got the win.

The British Invasion got the huge win and celebrated their victory as the fans cheered them on.

The next match has the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Finn Bálor facing off against the AAA Cruiserweight Champion, Sammy Guevara, and against the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Kushida. This was a fun three-way match where all three high-flyers hit some of their best moves and surprised the crowd with their air attacks.

Sammy though took control of the match and tried to keep Kushida out of the ring. All while he focused on beating down Finn. But Finn wasn't going to let this stop him and kept on fighting. Even managed to knock Sammy down and prepared to finish the match.

However, Kushida came back into the match and began taking down everyone. He even goes for the finish of the match until Finn knocked him down and goes for the Coup de Grace. Kushida though rolled out of the way and Kushida hits the Fisherman Suplex but Sammy got in the ring to take Kushida out. Sammy goes to the top rope and hits the 640 Senton on Finn as he gets the win.

Sammy gets a big win over the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and walks out of the show with his upset win.

The final match of the pre-show has the ICW Women's Champion, Viper going up against the NXT Women's Champion, Kairi Sane. It was a David versus Goliath match for Kairi who had to try beating Viper to get the win. However, it was not easy as Viper took control of the match and managed to take down Kairi. Kairi though wasn't going down so easily and refused to lose this match.

The match kept on going as Viper went for the Viper Driver. But Kairi managed to counter the move as she spins herself around to hit the DDT. Kairi soon begins making her comeback and got the near-fall win. But Viper fought her off and managed to hit the Viper Driver, but Kairi kicked out. This shocked everyone, including Kairi who couldn't believe it. Viper goes for it from the top rope but Kairi managed to knock her off the top rope and she falls on the mat.

Kairi leaps off and hits her Diving Elbow Drop before getting up then hits it two more times before she gets the three-count win. Kairi celebrates her win and the crowd cheered loudly for the NXT Women's Champion. Kairi has gained some momentum for her upcoming title match next week against Shanya Baszler. She showed she is ready and so is the crowd for tonight.

They begin going over any last tests for the broadcast, the equipment, and for the wrestlers before the show can begin.

The show begins with a video package that shows a large room with different colored lights. One blue, red, white, and green. Each light also shines down on videos of different wrestlers. All while different voices can be heard coming from the pictures. Each one showing the wrestlers making history.

For the red it showed wrestlers like Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker, the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Randy Savage.

The blue showed Adrian Street, Mick McManus, Count Bartelli, Giant Haystacks, Jackie Pallo, Big Daddy, Steve Veidor, and Dynamite Kid.

The green showed Francisco Aguayo, Ángel Blanco, Raul Reyes, Cien Caras, Huracán Ramírez, Blue Demon, Gory Guerrero, and El Santo.

The white showed Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami, the Great Muta, Jumbo Tsuruta, Rikidōzan, Kintaro Ohki, Giant Baba, and Shinya Hashimot.

It then showed eight people walking into the room before standing in the middle. In the middle of there is a bright light that showed a trophy. The trophy is gold, it appears in the form of a cup, with a golden globe in the middle, and the four flags of the countries edged in the trophy. With a name plate under the trophy and four words over it…'Best in the World'.

"What does it mean to be the best?" spoke a woman's voice. "It is something anyone can say? Is it something that people can brag about anytime they want?" the voice is revealed to be coming from Ruby as she steps forward into the light. "Or it is something you earn?"

The next to step forward is Kazuchika Okada. "To be the best…you must beat the best. To call yourself the best in the world…you must beat the best in the world. And tonight…we eight are the best."

The next to step forward is Pentagon Jr. "We have all wrestled for years. We have left blood, sweat, and tears in that ring to make it to this moment. We have left behind our families, we have suffered so much hardships, and we have endured so much pain. But tonight, it will all be worth it."

The next to step forward is Lionheart. "All our sacrifices will pay off tonight. Tonight, eight of the best in the world will go at it to prove which one of us is the true best. Tonight, we will make history. And tonight…nothing will stand in our way."

The next to step forward is Adam Cole. "There are no friends tonight. There is no alliances. Tonight, it is every superstar…no, every wrestler for themselves. And nothing will stop us from edging our name in history."

The next to step forward is Jay White. "They all better be ready. They all better bring it everything they have. There will be no second chances and there will be no excuses. Because tonight, we go all in for once chance to take what is ours."

The next one to step forward is Brian Cage. "And what is ours is to prove who the best in the world is. We know what we will have to do to prove it. We will do whatever it takes to make it to the end."

The final one to step forward is Seth Rollins. "And in the end, whoever makes it will have deserved it. They will deserve to be called the best in the world and they will leave it all in that ring to prove it. And in the end the best…will be me."

"It will be me," said Jay White as the camera begins going down to everyone who spoke up in order.

"It will be me," said Brian Cage.

"It will be me," said Jay White.

"It will be me," said Adam Cole.

"It will be me," said Lionheart.

"It will be me," said Pentagon Jr.

"It will be me," said Kazuchika Okada.

"It will be me," said Ruby Takashi as the video ends with all eight competitors putting their hands on the trophy as the lights go out as a man with a deep booming voice begins to speak while highlights of the World Cup Tournament begins to play.

"Tonight, these eight wrestlers will make history. Tonight, these eight wrestlers will face off to see who the best is. Tonight, these eight wrestlers will make history. Tonight, these eight wrestlers from around the world will show the world what they are capable of," said the narrator as the video shows all eight wrestlers from their respected promotions.

The video shows all eight wrestlers hitting their finishing moves, it shows them all standing tall, it shows all eight wrestlers holding their own world titles, and it soon finished with all eight facing off against one another.

"And tonight, only one will become…the best in the world."

Soon the screen focused on the World Cup trophy before the video went black so the show can begin.

Soon, the show opens with pyro going off and the crowd cheering loudly. The crowd all have their signs up and show who they all support. Whether they are from WWE, AAA, ICW, or NJPW. Either way, they didn't care because tonight the fans are the real winner as they will see history being made.

The show soon opens with the first match of the quarterfinals of the World Cup Tournament. It shows the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins going up against Kazuchika Okada. Rollins comes out first wearing his white and gold gear as he receives a great reaction from the crowd. All while Okada comes out wearing his Wrestle Kingdom 12 gear as he comes out to a standing ovation.

The referee (from ICW) reminds the two competitors they are in a ten-minute time limit. If they go over then they will have a five-minute sudden death time. If they fail, then they will be both out. So, the moment the bell rang the two competitors begin going at it.

They begin punching each other and go for some kicks as the crowd cheered loudly for the two men. Okada took the early on control as he managed to take Rollins down. Even tried going for his right leg knowing he injured his leg before. So, Okada tried to focus on taking out the leg and make sure he can't hit the Curb Stomp.

However, Rollins managed to take back control and goes after the left injured arm that Austin Aries help cause. Soon, Rollins began trying to weaken Okada's arm to try to keep him from hitting the Rainmaker. Rollins even made sure every time Okada got some momentum going he would cut it off.

The two men soon go at it for nearly seven minutes with back and forth moves. Countering one another and both men coming close on getting the near-fall win. Even both men hit their finishers but due to injuring the other's body part they couldn't get the win. Okada though managed to fight off the injury and even switched arms to hit the Rainmaker twice!

Okada then goes for the third, but Rollins hit the V-Trigger with his good leg and then two Superkicks causing Okada to fall on both knees. Rollins then hits the Curb Stomp but doesn't stop there. Rollins goes for it a second them and then hits the Phoenix Splash getting the one…two…and three! Rollins got the huge win over the four-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and longest-reigning champion, Okada.

The crowd cheered for both men and Rollins shook hands with Okada. The two men showed their respect for one another as Rollins goes on to the semi-finals.

The second match has Pentagon Jr. going up against Lionheart with a WWE referee. The crowd popped loudly for Lionheart who is well known in the UK as big star. Pentagon Jr. also is a big star and the crowd cheered for him as well as both men start off fast as well. Lionheart wanted to try ending this match quickly, but he knew it won't be easy with someone like Pentagon. Pentagon went for Lionheart's left arm and focused on trying to wear him down.

However, Lionheart refused to stay down and kept on fighting back. The two soon brawled on the outside where they fought back and forth around the ringside area. Until Pentagon threw him shoulder first into the steel railing. Pentagon then took a chair and began injuring the arm and tries wearing him down once more.

Lionheart though kept on fighting and showed he won't go down as he begins making his comeback. Lionheart even went for the Rock Bottom, but Pentagon goes back to the arm then hits the Package Piledriver! Pentagon goes for the cover getting one…two…but Lionheart kicked out!

The crowd couldn't believe it and Pentagon is told he hit the nine-minute mark. So, he goes for the Package Piledriver from the top rope. However, Lionheart fought him off and hit the Superkick causing Pentagon to stagger on the top rope. Lionheart then goes to the top rope, turns Pentagon around, and hits the Rock Bottom from the top rope!

Lionheart goes for the cover getting one…two…and three! Lionheart gets the big win and stands proudly while holding his injured arm. The crowd cheered loudly for Lionheart as he shook Pentagon Jr's hand and the two showed their respect for one another.

The third match has the leader of the Bullet Club, Jay White going up against former Bullet Club member and leader of the Undisputed Era, Adam Cole with a AAA referee. The crowd cheered for both men but seem to be behind Cole more than Jay. The two men go at it even began using weapons on each other to try getting the quick victory. However, neither man could put the other away.

Cole took control of the match after he hits a Canadian Destroyer on the apron. Cole soon begins going for Jay's injured neck and tries to wear him down. He even hit a Neckbreaker on the floor further hurting Jay's neck. But Jay kept on fighting and refused to lose to Cole.

Jay wants to prove he is the best against Cole and prove the doubters wrong about him. Jay White soon begins fighting back and hit his comeback before he goes to finish the match. However, Cole kept on fighting and even countered Jay's attempt at his finisher. Cole goes for the finish himself, but Jay countered and goes for the Blade Runner.

Cole countered again and goes for a Roll-up while holding the tights. However, the referee catches him, and Jay reverses the hold while he uses the ropes without the referee noticing. Jay gets the win and got the upset over Adam Cole who looks on shocked. Jay White got a big win over Adam Cole and makes it on to the next round.

Adam Cole was upset he lost but didn't seem to mind against Jay and the two shook hands. They even did the 'Too Sweet' finger pose as the crowd cheered loudly.

Soon, the final match in the quarterfinals has arrived as the crowd begin cheering loudly as a NJPW referee is in the ring. They even begin clapping their hands to make it sound like the Terminator theme song. *Machine* soon begins to play as Brian Cage makes his way out to a great reaction from the crowd. Brian Cage makes his way down the entrance stage as he heads towards the ring.

"The following contest, is the final match in the quarterfinals of the World Cup Tournament and it is set for one-fall!" Jeremy Borash announced as the crowd cheer loudly and even chanted 'One-Fall!'. "Introducing first, from the 559, weighing in at 268 pounds…BRIAN CAGE!"

The crowd cheered as Brian gets in the ring and gets on the top rope as he poses. The crowd gets behind Brian and the crowd couldn't believe to see who will win this match.

*I Burn* begins to play as the crowd cheers loudly. Ruby Takashi comes out wearing a black/white tube top with black/white tights showing the wolf in a demonic look and shows it smiling evilly. All while wearing her black vest and hood over her head. Ruby gets on one knee on the entrance stage, places her hand on the stage, and then lifts her hood before she howls loudly.

Ruby heads towards the ring and couldn't wait to face off against Brian.

"And introducing his opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, she is the Wolf of the Rising Sun, and the Empress of Japan…RUBY TAKASHI!" Jeremy Borash announced as he leaves the ring and Ruby gets in the ring with the fans cheering for her loudly.

Ruby howls loudly before she turns to Brian and hands the referee her jacket before she gets in the ring. The referee checks Ruby and soon checks Brian before handing any gear the two gave him to the ringside official. Once this is done the referee brings the two wrestlers to the middle of the ring and reminds them of the rules. After both wrestlers show they are ready they step back to their corner and the referee calls for the bell to begin the match.

Ruby and Brian begin walking around the ring as the crowd cheers for both of them. The two shook hands before they go at it with Ruby using her speed to get behind Brian and wrap her arms around him for a waist lock. However, Brian grabs her and easily tosses her away.

Ruby quickly gets up, ducks a Clothesline, hits the ropes, and comes back to duck another Clothesline. However, Brian drives his knee into her gut to stop her momentum. He then picks her up and hits her with an elbow to the face. But Ruby returns with a kick to his left leg causing him to back away a little.

Ruby then chops him in the chest, but it didn't seem to do nothing. He grabs her and then tosses her into the corner as he runs at her. Ruby ducks and hits a Superkick knocking him into the corner. Ruby then begins kicking him in the chest as she tries knocking him down.

It didn't seem to do much damage, so she whips him to the corner. However, Brian refused to go and instead pulls her over the top rope, but she landed on the apron. Brian goes for a punch but Ruby dodges it and kicks him right in the face knocking him back. Ruby leaps over the ropes and kicks him again this time to the side of the head knocking him back.

Ruby hits the ropes and ducks a Back Elbow from Brian and hits the ropes but gets hit with a Shoulder Tackle. Ruby kicks up and kicks his left knee to force him on one knee. She then drives her right knee to the side of his face causing him to stagger. Ruby hits the ropes but gets hit with a Back Elbow from Brian knocking her down.

Brian hits the ropes as Ruby leaps over to try tripping him. Brian leaps over her and hits the ropes. Ruby leaps up for a Leapfrog but Brian caught her and goes for the F5. But Ruby begins driving her elbows down to the side of his face causing him to drop her from behind. Ruby slaps him in the face but that seem to have angered him.

Brian lifts her up and begins driving her into the corner. He drives his shoulders into her gut repeatedly before he stops and chops her hard in the chest. The crowd let out a loud 'Woo!' as Ruby falls on her knees and holds her chest with her arms. Brian though isn't done as he picks her up and the crowd begins quieting before Brian hits another big chop.

The crowd let out another 'Woo!' response as Ruby falls on her knees again. Brian grabs Ruby and then whips her to the corner across from them. Brian runs over and hits her with a body splash. Brian then begins hitting her with elbow strokes to the chest as the crowd counts along until he got to ten.

Brian pulls Ruby and goes for a Clothesline. Ruby counters as she ducks then gets a Roll-up as she gets the one…but Brian kicked out. He gets on his knees and Ruby rolls over to kick him in the side of the head. Ruby kicks up, runs the ropes, and hits a Shining Wizard!

Ruby goes for the cover again as she gets the one…two and Brian got a shoulder up. Ruby sighed as she picks up Brian by the hair but is pushed into the ropes. Ruby runs over and Brian hits her with a Clothesline. Ruby gets up and gets hit with another Clothesline before whipping her into the corner.

Brian runs over to the corner but Ruby lifts her feet up and kicks him right in the face knocking him back. Ruby gets up and hits a Blockbuster! Ruby gets him up and gets behind him as she pushes him into the corner for a Rolling German Suplex. However, Brian held on to the corner and knocks her back.

Ruby gets up and rolls over at him, but Brian moves out of the way. Ruby hits the corner and Brian came in hitting her with a Back-Body Splash. Brian then hits a Roundhouse Kick knocking her down. Brian then grabs her and hits her with a German Suplex!

The crowd cheered loudly for the two competitors as it was a back and forth match between the two. Brian looks over to see Ruby is down as he picks her up and sets her on the top rope. Brian lifts her up and hits her with the Superplex! Brian goes for the cover as he gets one…two…but Ruby kicked out!

Brian didn't let this bother him as he begins hitting the mat to make the Terminator theme song. Brian lifts Ruby up and goes for the F5. But Ruby again begins fighting back and refuses to go down. Ruby gets off behind him and hits his left leg with a Chop Block hurting Brian.

Ruby then hits the ropes and hits a Low Dropkick on the injured left leg. Ruby gets up as she sees Brian on one knee. Ruby hits the rope and runs over to leap up on Brian before bringing both feet down on his face and knocks him down to the mat. Ruby howls loudly as Brian begins slowly getting up.

Ruby grabs him from behind and pushes him into the corner as she goes for a Rolling German Suplex! She then rolls Brian over on his knees and hits a Superkick! Ruby then goes to the top rope and goes for the Frog Splash! Ruby goes for the cover getting one…two…but Brian pushes her off of him before three.

Ruby looks a little surprised by this, but she knows she has to end this soon. She gets up and grabs his left leg before going for the Heel Hook submission hold. However, Brian begins fighting back as he kicks her in the chest sending her to the outside. Ruby falls on the apron and then to the floor as she groans loudly.

Brian begins rolling over to the outside knowing he needs to end this soon. Brian grabs Ruby by the hair and pulls her as he begins setting up for the Powerbomb. However, Ruby begins to fight back and managed to fall on her feet before she hits him with another Superkick! Ruby gets on the apron and howls as she goes for a Shoulder Tackle.

But Brian caught her and then lift her on his shoulders before he hits the F5 on the announce table! The crowd popped from this as Brian falls on the floor while the crowd cheered on. Brian slowly begins getting up as he sees Ruby looks completely out of it. Brian soon gets on his feet and grabs Ruby before throwing her into the ring.

Brian gets in the ring slowly and pushes Ruby more in the middle of the ring. Brian goes for the pin as he gets one…two…but Ruby got a shoulder up before three! The crowd popped from this and couldn't believe the match is still going. Brian couldn't believe it.

He hit Ruby with the F5 on the announce table and yet she is still here. Brian grabs Ruby and begins lifting her up for a Powerbomb. Brian throws her into the turnbuckle for a Buckle Powerbomb! Brian then lifts her up and goes for the F5, but Ruby lands on her feet and hits the Superkick to his injured left leg!

Ruby grabs his left leg and then hits a Shin Breaker! Ruby then goes to lock in the Heel Hook submission hold but Brian kicks her away. Brian gets up and lifts Ruby on his shoulders, but she drives her elbows to the side of his head causing him to drop her. Ruby turns Brian around and sprays the green mist!

Brian gets blinded by the mist and Ruby hits the corner, she jumps to the top turnbuckle, pushes off, and hits the Wolf Fang Cutter! Ruby then surprises the crowd as she rolls over Brian then lifts him up slowly to her shoulders! The crowd popped for this since they see Ruby lifting someone twice her size and weight. Ruby then hits the TKO!

Ruby though isn't done as she gets to the top rope and hits a Frog Splash! Ruby goes for the cover gets one…two…and three! Ruby has done it and she has defeated Brian Cage! The crowd popped for this and cheered as Ruby gets her hand raised!

The crowd cheered loudly as they begin chanting for Ruby and are happy she won her match. Ruby slowly gets up and smiles as she now goes on to the semi-finals where she will face off against Jay White. Brian Cage slowly got up and Ruby sees him. She goes over to Brian and extended her hand to him.

Brian at first didn't shake her hand but after the crowd cheered for him, he decided to shake it. The two then embraced for a hug as Brian thanks Ruby for giving him an amazing match. Ruby thanks him for not killing her and the fans cheered them on. Brian breaks the hug and soon leaves the ring while Ruby celebrates her win.

Ruby is glad she won her match and knows she has two matches to give her time to rest up. She is going to need it so she can be ready for the next match so she can make it to the finals of the tournament.

Backstage

Once Ruby got to the back, she goes to her locker room to get some rest and get ready for the next match. She took this chance to catch her breath and even get herself ready. She knows her next opponent is going to be Jay White. Oh, this is not going to be an easy match.

She knows it and knows Jay is going to give her everything he has. She looks through the monitor to see the Authors of Pain with Paul Ellring defending their SmackDown Tag Team titles against the New Day. It was a good long back and forth match. Both teams giving it everything they have while the crowd cheered on for the New Day.

For Paul Ellring he wanted his team to win and knew they had to. After their big win against the Bar this past Tuesday, he'll want his team to win this match.

Kofi managed to tag in Big E as he began running wild. Big E surprising everyone as he managed to throw both members of the Authors of Pain around. The New Day even begin setting up for the Midnight Hour. However, the Authors of Pain attempted to leave the match and lose by count out.

The New Day though were not going to have any of this. They attacked the Authors of Pain and threw them back into the ring. They then begin setting up for the finish when Rezar knocked Kofi into the steel post and then helps Akam take down Big E. The Authors of Pain hit the Last Chapter and retained their titles.

The Authors of Pain retained the gold and Paul Ellring celebrates with his team getting the win. For Paul this was a great moment for him since he returned to London with his new team in the same arena, he managed the Legion of Doom in 1992.

The next match has Bobby Lashley defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Braun Strowman. This was a Hoss match between the two monsters as they begin going at it back and forth. This was supposed to be a triple threat match involving Roman Reigns, but apparently, he couldn't make it due to an injury? This is what Ruby heard at least but she knew it must be serious since Roman has been keeping this quiet and so has WWE.

Normally they wouldn't keep something like this quiet unless its something serious.

Regardless, the show went on and Bobby was the underdog in the match despite getting booed from the crowd. They booed him for what he did to Kevin Owens and how he injured him. But Bobby didn't care. His concern was the monster among men who was dominating much of the match and got the crowd behind him.

The match didn't last long, and Bobby managed to hit the Spear three times in order to put down Strowman. But just barely. After the third Spear, Bobby went for the quick cover and when the referee hit the three count that's when Strowman kicked out. Or at least launched Bobby off of him and out the ring since he was near the ropes.

Bobby though still retained his title and walks out of Crown Jewel still the World Heavyweight Champion.

The next match is the WWE Championship match between Christopher Daniels and Brock Lesanr. If you could even call this a match. It began as a brawl with Brock coming out on the entrance stage and got attacked by Daniels with a lead pipe. Daniels began hurting Brock's left leg as he tries to hurt the beast.

Daniels kept on the attack as they fought through the crowd. Brock though took back control and began punching Daniels down. Even kicking him as the crowd booed at Brock. Daniels though is a fighter and isn't going down without a fight as he tackles Brock through a barricade and the two brawled around the ring. Until Brock hits Daniels with an F5 on the outside.

Brock threw Daniels into the ring and began beating him down. Hitting him with suplexes and wearing him down to the point he could barely move. Brock soon began getting ready to end this but Daniels began making his comeback after he injured Brock's left leg. Daniels grabs Brock's leg then smashes it into the steel post.

The crowd cheered as Daniels keeps on the attack while the referee tells him to get back in the ring. Daniels lets go and grabs a chair before smashing it on Brock's leg. The referee calls for he bell but Daniels knocks the referee out and continued the attack.

Daniels even sets up the chair between Brock's leg and hits three Best Moonsault Ever on the injured leg. Brock screams in pain as Paul Heyman gets in the ring and begs for Daniels to stop. Daniels does so and took his WWE title as the officials' name Brock the winner by disqualification. Although, Daniels didn't care since did what he wanted to do and that's take Brock out.

Ruby knew this fight isn't over yet. She knows Brock will get Daniels for this and will do whatever it takes to make him pay. So, Daniels better be ready for the hell that is going to be unleashed.

Ruby sighed softly as she is told it is time for the next two matches. She gets up and decides not to come out with her jacket. She begins heading towards the door when she opened it and sees Kairi standing there.

"Oh, hey Kairi. What's up?" Ruby asked wondering why her fiancé is here since she figured she would be resting up in her locker room.

"Watashi wa chi ~youdoanatagadonoyouniyatteiruka, soshite anata ga daijōbu ka dō ka o mi ni kimashita (I just came to see how you are doing and if you are okay)," Kairi replied as she held her hand. "Mata, junbi ga dekite iru ka dō ka o mitakatta (I also wanted to see if you are ready)."

Ruby giggled softly and shrugs her shoulders. "Itaidesuga, daijōbudesu. Kono tōnamento ni sanka suru no wa kutsū ni narudarou to omotte imashita... Shikashi, katsu toki wa kachi ga arudeshou (Sore, but I'm okay. I knew going into this tournament it is going to be a pain...but it will be worth it when I win)," she then gives her fiancé a kiss on the lips before she strokes her hair back. "And after I win, we can go back to the hotel and…celebrate."

Kairi begins blushing and giggled softly as she shook her head. "Come back…in one piece…and then…we can celebrate."

"Deal," said Ruby as the two embraces in a passionate kiss before Ruby leaves to finish up her last two matches.

Later

The next match has the first semi-finals with Seth Rollins going up against Lionheart with a NJPW referee for the match. Rollins was rubbing his injured right leg while Lionheart is rubbing his injured left arm. The two men go right at it since they knew they didn't have much time for their match and needed to try winning the match before the time limit ends. Both men hit some big moves and countered one another as they try ending the match as quickly as possible.

Rollins managed to slow Lionheart down and go for his injured arm. But Lionheart managed to hurt Rollin's injured right leg. Soon both injuries began playing into the match as they hit their finishers but couldn't put the other away because they hurt themselves. So, the match continued on and the crowd cheered on for both men.

Soon Rollins goes for the Curb Stomp for the second time and goes for the quick cover as he got one…two…but Lionheart kicked out! Rollins couldn't believe he didn't get the win and that Lionheart is still in the match. Rollins soon begins going for the third Curb Stomp, but Lionheart dodges it and hits Rollins' injured leg then hits the Rock Bottom! Lionheart soon goes to the top rope and hits the Frog Splash as he gets the cover get one…two…and three!

Lionheart looks on shocked that he won, and the crowd popped loudly. Lionheart looks surprised that he won the match and that he defeated a former two-time WWE Champion. Rollins even looks on shocked and disappointed he lost the match. He could blame his injured knee or blame himself for letting his guard down.

But he can't. He lost the match fairly and knew it. Rollins slowly got up and extended his hand to Lionheart. Lionheart looks down at the handshake and slowly shook it.

Rollins raises Lionheart's hand and congratulates him before he begins leaving the ring. Lionheart uses this chance to celebrate his win and knows he is now going on to the finals. One more match to go and he could win the whole thing. The crowd stood strongly behind him and want to see him succeed.

*Switchblade* begins to play as Jay White makes his way out without his jacket on and appeared ready to get through this match to go on to the finals. The crowd cheered loudly for Jay as he looks to get one more win so he can move to the finals to become the best in the world.

"The following contest is the final match of the semi-finals in the World Cup Tournament and it is set for one-fall!" Jeremy Borash announced as the crowd cheered loudly as a AAA referee stood at ringside. "Introducing first, from Auckland, New Zealand, weighing in at 220 pounds…JAY WHITE!"

Jay White enters the ring and the crowd cheers him on as he poses in the middle of the ring. Jay White goes to his corner as the referee checks on him.

*I Burn* begins to play as Ruby Takashi makes her way out as the crowd cheers for her. Ruby gets on one knee, places her hand on the entrance stage, and then howls loudly before she heads towards the ring.

"And introducing his opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, she is the Wolf of the Rising Sun, and the Empress of Japan…RUBY TAKASHI!" Jeremy Borash announced as he begins to leave the ring while Ruby slides in and goes to the top rope as she howls loudly.

The crowd cheered loudly as Ruby is being checked on by the referee. Once the referee finished, he reminds them both that this is a ten-minute time limit match with no sudden death extra time. So, they need to finish this within ten minutes, or they are both out. Both competitors understood and nod as the bell is run to begin the match so they can go at it to see who will go on to the finals.

Once the bell rings the two runs at each other and begin going at it. Ruby and Jay begin laying ion paunches at each other as the crowd cheers loudly. They didn't have time to take the match slow or lock up. They needed to end this match soon and hope to get a quick win so they can be well-rested.

Both soon begin pushing the other against the ropes but they couldn't knock the other away. Until Ruby drives her knees into Jay's gut and then whips him off the ropes. Jay reverses and throws her into the ropes. Ruby slides between his legs and trips him over before she jumps up to hit a Double Foot Stomp on the head of his head.

Ruby goes for the cover getting one…but Jay got a shoulder up. Ruby picks up Jay and chops him in the chest causing the crowd to let out a loud 'Woo!' response. She hits him with another before whipping him into the corner. Jay reverses it and Ruby goes up and over but Jay kicks her in the gut on the way down.

Jay then hits her with a Back Suplex as he goes for the cover getting one…two and Ruby got a shoulder up. Jay picks Ruby up and hits her with a Suplex before he picks her up again then hits her with another Suplex, but this time into the corner. Jay goes for another cover, but Ruby kicked out at one. Jay soon gets up and begins motioning for Ruby to get as he begins slapping the back of her head.

However, this made Ruby bad as she hits him with a Headbutt to the chest causing him to back away. Ruby then chops him in the chest hard, but Jay returns with a knee to his gut. Jay hits the rope and goes for a Clothesline, but Ruby ducks and then swipes his left leg with a kick knocking him down. Ruby grabs his left and then goes for the Heel Hook submission hold, but Jay kicks her away before she can lock in the hold.

Ruby gets up and charges at him, but Jay moves out of the way and she goes through the ropes. Jay hits the ropes and goes for a big dive, but Ruby leaps up and kicks him in the head. Ruby then pulls him on the apron and goes for a TKO. But Jay reverses the hold and hits a spiked DDT on the apron!

Jay pushes Ruby back in the ring and goes for the cover getting one…two…and Ruby kicked out! The crowd begin chanting for Ruby while Jay yells at them to shut up and sees Ruby going near the rope. Jay leaps up on the ropes and brings his foot down on the back of her neck knocking down on the mat. Jay then begins choking her as he pulls her on the top middle rope then brings his whole weight down on her.

This match is no disqualification, but the referee isn't going to allow Jay to choke Ruby. The referee pushes Jay off and tells him to lay off the choking. Jay brushes off the referee and grabs Ruby as he pulls her off the ropes then lifts her up for a Vertical Suplex but then twists them to hit a Neckbreaker. Jay goes for the cover getting one…two…but Ruby again kicked out!

Jay looks on getting a little frustrated as he throws Ruby to the outside and goes to grab a chair. Jay grabs Ruby and throws her on the announce table before he sets the chair around her neck. Jay grabs the chair and lifts it up high as he motions what he is going to do. Jay goes to swing the chair but Ruby managed to kick Jay's left leg causing him to stop.

Jay holds on to his injured leg and Ruby gets the chair off her neck before grabbing his left leg then lifts him up. She then falls off the table and drops his left knee on the announce table as Jay begins screaming in pain. Jay holds on to his injured leg as the referee checks on him. The crowd cheer for Ruby as she begins getting ready for the finish of the match.

Ruby rubs the back of her neck and sighed as she grabs Jay then throws him in the ring. Ruby then goes to the top rope where she sees Jay slowly getting up. Ruby leaps off and hits a Blockbuster before she managed to roll him over as she gets behind him. Ruby then pushes him into the corner and hits a Rolling German Suplex!

Ruby then rolls him on his knees and then hits a Superkick! Ruby falls on the ropes and begins panting softly as she tries to catch her breath. She soon begins slowly making her way to the top rope. She soon begins setting things up for a Frog Splash but Jay leaps up and kicks her in the side of the head.

Jay pulls her off the top rope but has her feet hanging on the turnbuckle. Jay then drops her with a Spiked DDT! The crowd popped for this as Jay before going for the cover getting one…two…but Ruby kicked out! The crowd popped for this and Jay couldn't believe it.

Jay didn't wait for her to catch her breath as he lifts her up to the top rope. Jay prepares to hit her with a Superplex as he slowly gets her to the top. However, Ruby begins to fight back. She punched him in the sides and hits him with a Headbutt causing him to stagger.

Jay though rakes her eyes causing her to fall on the turnbuckle. Jay slaps her face and yells at her that he is going to win and not her. Ruby then Headbutts him in the mouth causing him to stagger. Ruby leaps down on the apron and leaps up to kick him in the side of the head knocking him down. Ruby then gets on the top rope and leaps off to hit the Frog Splash!

Ruby goes for the cover getting one…two…but Jay kicked out! The crowd popped as the referee tells them there is three minutes left. Ruby knows she needs to end this now or else she'll lose the match. Ruby lifts him up and goes for the TKO!

But Jay rakes her eyes and hits her with a Swinging Neckbreaker! Jay then lifts her up and goes for the Blade Runner. He sets her up and begins mocking the crowd but Ruby managed to knock him away and then kicks his left leg. She then drops down and locks in the Heel Hook submission hold!

Jay screams in pain as he tries to get out of the hold, but Ruby keeps it locked in and even tightens the hold on his injured leg. Jay screams in pain and tries to get to the ropes. But Ruby has him in the middle of the ring and tightens the hold to the point she can break the leg. Jay soon knew he couldn't hold on and begins tapping out!

The crowd cheered as Ruby got the win and has done it! She lets go of the hold as the referee calls for the bell and declares her the winner.

"Here is your winner by submission and going on to the finals of the World Cup Tournament…JAY WHITE!" Jeremy Borash announced as the referee checks on both wrestlers.

Ruby slowly got up as she rubs the back of her neck. Oh yeah, she is sore as hell and did feel some pain. But nothing too serious. However, she now has time to rest up for the next three matches. So, she'll use this chance to better chances in the finals…it was then it just dawned on her.

She did it. She is going to the finals in the World Cup Tournament. She has a chance to make history and will go on to the finals to win her chance to be best in the world. She just needs to win one more match, but she is confident she'll be able to do it.

She slowly gets up and has her hand raised as Ruby motions one more match to go. The crowd cheers for her and chanted her name as Ruby turns to Jay White. Jay is hopping on one leg while he looks on upset, he lost. However, he knew he had to accept it and knew he is done.

The two competitors shook hands and hugged it out before Jay leaves the ring as he is helped to the back. All while Ruby celebrates for a little bit in the ring before she begins slowly rolling out. She knows she needs to get plenty of rest before her main event match. She just needs to beat one more person before she is declared at the best in the world.

She couldn't wait for it and couldn't wait to hold that trophy up high.

Backstage

Ruby is in the back getting her neck checked out and massaged as she watched the rest of the show. She saw Daniel Bryan versus the Miz in a number one contender's match where the winner will face the WWE Champion. Ruby was happy to see this match since both Miz and Bryan have been trading victories against one another. So, this is going to help finish with the rivalry and the winner will go on to fight for the WWE title.

Miz took control of the match after injuring Bryan's ribs. He began focusing on the ribs and focus on trying to injure Bryan. The crowd stood behind Bryan and even cheered him on. The Miz though keeps him down and even counters Bryan's attempt at the Running Knee. The Miz then hit the Running Knee and goes for the win but Bryan kicked out.

The Miz begins going for the Skull-Crushing Finale but Bryan surprised Miz and countered his hold. Daniel Bryan then turns it into an Inside Cradle as he gets the one…two…and Bryan wins the match! The crowd cheered loudly as Bryan surprised Miz and got the win out of nowhere. Miz couldn't believe it and began arguing that he didn't lose.

But it didn't matter. Bryan won the match and will now get a shot at the WWE title. He'll get a chance to fight Christopher Daniels for the gold. That's if Brock is not done with Daniels or the title.

The next match has the Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey teaming up with the Lucha Knights to face off against their opponents for Evolution. Ember Moon, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. The crowd stood behind Ronda's team but mostly because their girl, Olivia, the nerd queen made her return home. The match went back and forth between the two competitors as the crowd cheered on.

Ronda got tagged into the match and began taking out her opponents until she came across Ember Moon. The two begin going at it until it turned into a brawl between the women. Until Olivia and Luna managed to take out their opponents with a double Suicide Dive! Ronda countered the Eclipse and Oliva gets tagged in before she hit the Jumping Reverse STO to get the win!

Olivia celebrates the win with her team and the crowd cheer them on.

Ruby knew it won't be long before her final match as she gets ready to take off. She has the referee leave and sighed as she stood up from the table. She prepares to go when she sees Triple H coming into the room. Ruby and Triple H stare at each other both with intense look in their eyes.

Triple H then begins to smile and extends his hand to Ruby. "Win or lose…know I am damn proud that you made it this far in the tournament. And know it was an honor to face you in the ring. So, good luck and go kick his ass."

Ruby begins smiling a little knowing Triple H meant what he said before she shook his hand. "Well, I didn't come this far without kicking some ass or planned to lose. But thanks."

Triple H nods before he began taking off, while Ruby begins rubbing the back of her neck and begins getting ready for the finals.

Later

The next match has Pete Dunne defending his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Zach Sabre Jr. and Will Ospreay as the crowd cheered for all three men from the UK. All three men started off going at it by hitting their best moves and even countering one another. The match became physical and even began hitting some high-flying moves with Will Ospreay getting the crowd behind him.

All three men even managed to hit their finishers, yet they couldn't put the other away. Each time they hit their finishers someone comes in to break the hold. Each time they try locking in a submission hold they would break the hold. It got to the point where anyone could win this match.

Zach came close to winning the match until Pete Dunne came in and hits the Bitter End and retained the United Kingdom title. The crowd cheered loudly with both men getting the win and continues holding the gold. Pete shook the hands with Zach and Will before they left the ring to give Pete the chance to celebrate his win. Pete holds his title high and knows he will return to the United States still champion.

It was now time for the main event. The locker room of WWE are seen in the back and those who couldn't make it to the show can be seen back home in the development center watching the show with anticipation. They even showed wrestlers from AAA's locker room watching the show. Along with NJPW's locker room watching the show in their locker room.

Yes, AAA and NJPW know they didn't make it to the finals of the tournament. But they were still going to watch this to the end to see the two wrestlers who made it. ICW's locker room are seen in the arena watching the show and couldn't wait to see their boy, Lionheart compete in the biggest match of his career.

Win or lose, both locker rooms of WWE and ICW knew both will deserve to be called the best in the end. Jeremy Borash stood in the middle of the ring with a referee from Japan, while the promoters of all four companies are at ringside ready to present the winner with the beautiful gold trophy.

*I'm History* begins to play as the crowd popped loudly as Lionheart came out to a standing ovation. Lionheart's left arm is seen taped after his match with Seth Rollins and Pentagon Jr. He was hurting but he is willing to get through the pain to win this match. He knows how important it is for him and he doesn't plan to lose.

Lionheart heads down to the ring and begins posing as the crowd cheer him on. All they begin chanting his name. Lionheart looks around at the arena and feels completely overwhelm by all of this. But he knows it will be worth it if he wins.

He gets into the ring and is being checked on by the referee who wants to make sure he is ready. Once the referee is done, they wait for the final opponent to come out.

*I Burn* begins to play as Ruby Takashi makes her way out as the crowd popped for her. Not as loud as Lionheart, but it was still a great reaction. Ruby gets on one knee, places her hand on the entrance stage, and then howls loudly before she heads towards the ring. Ruby heads towards the ring and enters as she poses on the top rope.

Ruby looks around and howls loudly as the fans howl with her. Ruby gets in the mat and the referee checks her before he has her stay in the corner for the introductions.

Jeremy stands in the middle of the ring as he begins. "The following is the finals of the World Cup Tournament and it is set for one fall with a ten to fifteen time-limit!" Jeremy announced as the crowd cheered loudly. "Introducing first in the corner to my left, from Coventry, England weighing in at 215 pounds…LIONHEART!"

Lionheart stood in the middle of the ring and poses as the crowd cheers him on loudly. He soon goes back to his corner as Ruby is next.

"Introducing next, from Tokyo, Japan, she is the Wolf of the Rising Sun, and the Empress of Japan…RUBY TAKASHI!" Jeremy Borash announced as he begins to leave the ring.

The referee has Ruby and Lionheart get to the middle of the ring while letting them know this is going to go on to ten to fifteen minutes but no more. There are no rules and no count-out. But to try keeping this clean as much as possible. The two both nod in response before they shook hands and go back to their corner.

The referee turns to both competitors before the bell is rung. Ruby and Lionheart begin with a lockup as Ruby grabs his left arm then hits an Arm Drag. Lionheart gets up quickly and rubs his injured arm while Ruby stood in her corner and motions for Lionheart to come at him. Lionheart nods as he rubs his arm before he begins circling the ring with Ruby.

The two go to lock up but Lionheart kicked Ruby in the back then punched her in the back before he chops her. Lionheart gets her to the ropes before he whips her off the ropes. Ruby comes in hitting him with a flying Shoulder Tackle knocking him down. Lionheart kicks up and slaps Ruby in the face before she slaps him back.

The two begin punching at each other before Lionheart tackles her down then begins punching her. Ruby grabs his left leg then goes to try locking in the Heel Hook submission hold. However, Lionheart managed to break free of the hold and Ruby hits him with a Headbutt causing him to stagger against the ropes. Ruby whips him off the ropes where she goes for a Clothesline.

Lionheart though ducks the Clothesline and hits Ruby with a Dropkick knocking her down. Ruby rolls to the outside as she tries to shake off what happened. But Lionheart isn't going to give her time to rest. Lionheart goes after her as he punched her in the face before knocking her into the steel railing.

Lionheart then grabs Ruby and whips her to the steel railing, but she reverses it so instead her opponent hits it injuring his left arm. The referee goes to check on Lionheart while Ruby shakes off the hits. She motions for security to move the fans near the railing away as she begins running towards her opponent. Ruby leaps over, grabs his left arm, and brings it down on the railing to further injure his arm.

Lionheart falls back yelling in pain as he falls on the floor. The referee checks on him while Ruby gets some mixed reactions for what she did. She ignores them and begins waiting for her opponent to get up. Once he was up she jumps on the railing and leaps over to hit a flying Forearm taking him down.

Ruby grabs Lionheart as she picks him up, moves his left arm behind his back, and then hits him with a Hammerlock Suplex right on the announce table. Lionheart yells in pain as he falls on the floor and holds his injured arm. Ruby turns to the fans and yells at them if this is not what they wanted! But the crowd now booed at her as they cheer on their boy, Lionheart.

Ruby has been booed before in the hometown of a very popular wrestler, so this isn't something new to her. Ruby picks up Lionheart and punched him before kicking him in the gut. Ruby goes to whip him into the steel post, but Lionheart reverses it, so she'll hit it. Ruby though jumps up on the apron and leaps up to the middle turnbuckle then hits s Moonsault landing on Lionheart!

Ruby gets up and howls loudly as she sees Lionheart slowly getting up. She goes to the outside and grabs Lionheart then throws him in the ring while setting his arm on the apron. Ruby gets on the apron and jumps up to hit a Knee Drop on his arm! Lionheart rolls to the middle of the ring as he yells loudly in pain.

Ruby gets in the ring as waits for Lionheart to slowly get up and begins punching him. She then chops him in the chest and then one more punch knocking him against the ropes. She then whips him to the ropes, but Lionheart reverses it and hits a Back Body Drop. Ruby though landed on her feet then spins him as he goes for a punch, but Ruby caught his left arm and then jumps to hit an Arm Breaker!

Ruby goes for the cover as she gets one…two…but Lionheart kicked out after two. Ruby quickly locks in an Armbar as she tries to force him to tap out. He will either tap out or she'll wear him down to the point he won't be able to fight back. The crowd though isn't done getting behind their boy and began chanting 'Lionheart is a hero' as they try to get him back in the match.

Ruby can tell this is helping Lionheart as he begins fighting back. He refuses to stay down and refuses to give in. Ruby tries tightening the hold, but Lionheart keeps on fighting back. Lionheart begins driving his right elbow into Ruby's gut and then a straight right hand causing her to break the hold. Lionheart soon begins punching and kicking Ruby to the point he is sending her back.

However, Ruby recovers with a kick to Lionheart's left arm causing him to back away. Ruby then hits a Step-up Enzuigiri causing her opponent to fall back against the ropes. The crowd booed at Ruby as she begins shaking off the punches and sees Lionheart against the ropes. Ruby runs the ropes and prepares to grab his arm to pull it over the top rope. However, Lionheart ducks and throws Ruby over the top rope.

Ruby though landed on the apron and goes to grab his arm, but Lionheart grabs her head and pulls her down on the top rope causing her to almost choke on the rope. Lionheart backs away and sees Ruby is staggering so he hits the ropes, hits a Baseball Slide, and grabs Ruby before he hits a Powerbomb on the floor!

The referee goes to the outside to check on Ruby while Lionheart rolls away as he tries to get some feeling back in his arm. The crowd cheers loudly and begin chanting 'Holy Shit!' since they didn't expect that move. Ruby rubs the back of her neck as she groans in pain as she tries to get back up. Lionheart grabs Ruby and hits the Rock Bottom on the apron!

The crowd popped as Lionheart pushes her more into the ring before he goes for the cover getting one…two…but Ruby kicked out! Lionheart rubs his left arm as he slowly begins getting up. Lionheart gets Ruby up and begins kicking then punches her in the face knocking her back against the corner. Lionheart begins kicking her repeatedly as the crowd cheers loudly as he gets the crowd behind him. Lionheart whips her across the ropes, and she hits the corner.

Lionheart gets the crowd going before he charges at her. Ruby moves out of the way and he hits the corner. Ruby then grabs him and throws him into the steel post! Lionheart yells in pain as his left shoulder hit the steel post.

Ruby pulls him out with a Roll-up getting one…two…but Lionheart kicked out. But while he was on his knees Ruby gets up and hits a Double Footstomp. She goes for the cover getting one…two…but Lionheart kicked out again. Ruby grabs his arm and begins locking in the Crossface!

The crowd begin cheering for Lionheart as they try to will him to break the hold, but Ruby tightens her hold as she tries to force Lionheart to tap out. Lionheart refuses to give up after coming so far. He keeps on fighting and tries to get to the ropes. He even tries using his weight to roll Ruby over to force her to break the hold or get pinned.

Ruby though managed to roll them over and keep the hold applied. The crowd keeps cheering and chanting for Lionheart as they try to get him to break the hold. Lionheart keeps on fighting as he tries slowly getting up. But Ruby breaks the hold and locks in Becky's submission hold as she puts her weight back on Lionheart!

Lionheart yells in pain as he feels her wrenching his arm back. Ruby yells at him to tap or she'll break his freaking arm. Lionheart though will not quit. He will not give up as he tries again to use his weight to try getting a quick Roll-up on Ruby, but she kicks out and breaks the hold.

Ruby gets up and hits Lionheart with a Dropkick sending him into the corner. Ruby runs over and goes for her Corner Crossbody, but Lionheart moved out of the way. Ruby managed to go between the two turnbuckles and goes to the top rope. Ruby leaps over for the Blockbuster but Lionheart rolled forward and she rolls over him.

Ruby gets up and Lionheart comes running in with a Big Boot to the face causing her to stagger. Lionheart grabs Ruby and hits the Rock Bottom! Lionheart then quickly goes to the top rope as the crowd cheered loudly. Lionheart soon jumps and hits the Frog Splash!

Lionheart goes for the cover getting one…two…but Ruby kicked out! Lionheart looks on shocked that he didn't get the win and the crowd keep chanting for Lionheart as they show their support for him. Lionheart grabs Ruby and begins setting up for the Sharpshooter, but Ruby begins fighting back. She even kicks his left shoulder and forces him to break the hold.

Lionheart goes after her but Ruby hits him with a Superkick! Lionheart staggers back and Ruby rubs over to hit a Shotgun Dropkick sending him into the corner. Ruby backs away and hits him with a Corner Crossbody! She pushes him forward and climbs to the top rope where she hits him with a Blockbuster!

Ruby gets behind him and gets him up before she pushes him into the corner as she hits the Rolling German Suplex! She rolls him on his knees, hits him with another Superkick, and then goes to the top rope. Ruby goes up and soon hits her own Frog Splash! Ruby goes for the cover getting one…two…but Lionheart kicked out!

Ruby couldn't believe it. This guy just won't freaking stay down and it is starting to annoy her. Ruby can hear the crowd cheering loudly for now both competitors and even chant 'This is Awesome!' repeatedly. Ruby grabs Lionheart and begins lifting him up for the TKO to finish this.

However, Lionheart begins fighting back and drives his elbows to the back of her head before he gets behind her. Ruby turns around and gets hit with the Superkick! Lionheart and Ruby are now both down as both competitors try to recover as the crowd chanted for both competitors. All while the referee begins going for the ten-count until the wrestlers can get back up.

Soon both competitors managed to get up and begin punching the other. When Ruby punches Lionheart she gets booed while with Lionheart when he punches Ruby, he gets cheered. Soon both wrestlers begin going back and forth with some punches until Lionheart kicks her in the gut. Lionheart whips her against the ropes but Ruby reverses, so her opponent hits the ropes.

Lionheart comes in and Ruby lifts him to hit a Shoulder Breaker! Lionheart pops up while holding his injured arm. Ruby soon lifts him up and hits the TKO! Ruby goes for the cover getting one…two…but Lionheart kicked out!

The crowd popped and Ruby couldn't believe she didn't get the win. Even the promoters are ringside look on surprised that this match didn't end already. The crowd though didn't seem to mind this and cheered on for Ruby. All while even chanting for Lionheart.

Ruby begins getting up as she looks on wondering how the hell is this guy still in this match. Ruby sighed as she begins setting up for the Superkick again, but Lionheart caught the foot and then spins her before he hits the Superkick! Lionheart then picks her up and then hits her with the Rock Bottom!

Lionheart goes for the cover getting one…two…but Ruby kicked out!

The crowd popped loudly once again as they begin to chant for Ruby and Lionheart. All while even chanting 'Fight Forever!'. Lionheart looks wondering now how he is going to beat Ruby. Lionheart begins going to the top rope as he goes for the Frog Splash to finish this.

Lionheart goes for it but Ruby rolled out of the way and Lionheart rolls over, so he won't land belly first on the mat. Ruby jumps on the middle rope and hits the Wolf Fang Cutter! Ruby goes over to the cover getting one…two…but Lionheart just barely got a shoulder up!

The crowd cheered popped once again as they cheered loudly for both competitors. Ruby rolls over and sighed softly as she couldn't get the win. Ruby slowly begins getting up as she uses the ropes to pull herself on her feet. She sighed softly and knew she has to finish this match since she is running out of gas.

Lionheart though looks like he is close to his finish first. Ruby goes to finish this match now so she can walk out with the victory. Ruby pulls Lionheart up and yells at him that she is going to end this. Lionheart pushes her back and goes for the Superkick but Ruby caught the foot then brings her right elbow down on his right leg hurting the leg.

Lionheart backs away and Ruby kicks him in the side of the head before she lifts him up for the TKO. However, Lionheart begins fighting back and pushes her forward but Ruby hits a Superkick causing him to fall on one knee. Ruby hits the ropes and goes for a Sunset Flip pin getting one…two…but Lionheart reverses it and then rolls over to put his whole weight on it as he gets the one…two…Ruby kicked out!

Ruby gets up and Lionheart hits her with a Superkick causing her to fall on one knee! Lionheart then hits a second Superkick causing him to fall on his back. But Lionheart grabs Ruby then lifts her up then hits a Rock Bottom! Lionheart then goes to the top rope and then jumps off to hit the Frog Splash!

Lionheart goes for the cover getting one…two…and three! Lionheart did it and the crowd popped loudly as their guy won the match.

"Here is your winner of the World Cup Tournament and is the Best in the World…LIONHEART!" Jeremy Borash announced as the crowd cheered loudly.

The locker room from all the promotions all got up and cheered as well as they applauded the wrestlers on their amazing match. The ICW locker room though popped and celebrated that their friend Lionheart won the whole tournament.

Ruby begins to recover slowly with what happened and couldn't believe it. After all the hard work in this tournament she lost the match. She couldn't believe it and yet didn't feel mad. She was a little upset she lost but she felt a little proud of the fact she lost to the better wrestler.

Someone who came into this as the underdog. The one no one thought could win the whole thing much less make it to the finals. Yet, he did. The only one representing the United Kingdom and he was able to win the whole thing.

With one arm he managed to win, and he defeated the best to do it. Ruby couldn't really be too upset with this. Lionheart proved himself tonight and it was worth it. Yeah, she lost, but she lost to someone who has earned her respect.

Ruby slowly got up as she sees Lionheart getting up on his feet using the ropes for leverage. The two stared at each other for a moment as Lionheart's theme song dies down. Ruby walks over to him and extends her hand to him. Lionheart stares at Ruby for a moment as he looks down at her hand.

Soon he shook her hand and the two embraced in a hug. Ruby tells Lionheart she is proud of him and that he deserved this win. Lionheart thanks her for bringing out the best in him and for giving him this amazing match. Ruby breaks the hug and tells him he earned this.

She points to the crowd who are chanting his name that they all believed in him and this is his time. Ruby raises Lionheart's hand as *I'm History* begins to play. The crowd all stood up to cheer and applaud for the competitors. Even begin singing Lionheart's theme as the promoters begin entering the ring.

Each one congratulating the two competitors on the amazing match and for the end of the tournament. They even bring in the trophy and Triple H awards it to Lionheart. Lionheart feels some tears forming in his eyes as he accepted the trophy. Triple H and Ronin raise Lionheart's hands as they declare him the best in the world.

The pyro begins going off as the ICW locker room all came out to celebrate with Lionheart. Ruby left the ring with the promoters to give the locker room a chance to celebrate with their friend. Ruby begins walking up the entrance stage with her brother and Triple H. Despite losing both Triple H and Ronin didn't seem upset.

They knew she gave it her all and that's all that matters. Triple H shook hands with Ruby while Ronin hugs his sister. Ruby turns to the ring where Lionheart is lifted on the shoulders of his friends and holds up his trophy. Ruby couldn't help but feel a little emotional as she gives a small bow to Lionheart before she heads to the back.

She knows she has a long flight getting back home for the final week before Evolution. She knows she is going to use this chance to get ready for whoever she faces off against. Only she won't lose. She may have lost tonight but she'll be damned if she loses at Evolution.

She takes one last look at Lionheart and hope she'll face off against him again. So, she can have another amazing match.

13. Lionheart defeated Ruby Takashi to win the WWE World Cup tournament

That's the end of the chapter and I have to say this was a lot of fun to do. I'm sure many are surprised with the ending and Ruby didn't win. I wanted her to win but I knew I couldn't have her win all the time in these sorts of matches. Occasionally, even the hero can lose in big matches.

I also wanted to put over Lionheart, who sadly isn't with us anymore. He passed away on June 19, 2019. So, not too long ago. I wanted to pay a tribute to him after my friend told me about him and I got to see a lot of his old matches.

To see what kind of wrestler he was and I'm glad to have seen his matches. So, thanks to my friend theXman99 for letting me know about him and hope he likes the way I had him win this tournament. Not only beating two of the best but also defeating my main OC in a great awesome match. But don't worry, Ruby will come back from this.

She is good at bouncing back from these loses. But what is next for her? Is it the Evolution show? If so, who will she fight?
