We Found Love
127. Second Hand News
They came together over the loss of Seamus. Lavender lost the love of her life and Dean lost his best friend. Seamus died protecting Lavender from Fenrir Greyback. The attack came during the Battle of Hogwarts, solely witnessed by Lavender.
After the battle was over with Harry Potter defeating the Dark Lord, Dean and Lavender stayed up overnight. Dean held Lavender as she cried, trying to offer comfort. That was the first of many nights together. Within two months, they were sleeping in the same bed. They simply laid, curled together.
As time passed, the loss of Seamus Finnigan hurt a little less, but it was still a source of pain for them both. In their combined grief, Dean and Lavender found themselves in a relationship of some kind. Uncertain of what to do, they decided to pursue their newfound relationship.
Since they weren't really interested in anyone else, Dean and Lavender decided to get married. They had an unconventional relationship, and they couldn't see their lives without one another – without Seamus around.
While Dean would never replace Seamus, he was an excellent lover and an amazing friend. He cared for her and looked after her. In return, Lavender was a loyal girlfriend, an understand friend, and a supportive wife.
When Lavender began pregnant, there was no discussion about names for a boy like there were girls. A son would be Seamus Dean Thomas and a daughter would either be Violet Jasmine Thomas or Rosalie Lavender Thomas.
