Kyrie had taken off the bandages from her doll and wrapped them around Xeni's stomach. Nero's fiancee also told her not to breathe heavily, and be careful if she decided to walk anywhere. She was lying in a corner; held by her brother.

The twins were not too far, investigating a weird crate they had found. Kyrie had told them to be careful as it might be a trap. She could tell by the design it was a military-type, and could be filled with anything from MRE's to plastic explosives. To everyone's relief, it was not a trap.

Xeni's breathing was ragged as she told Kyrie, "Look, I'm, uhm, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I… it's just…" a spike of pain shot through her, causing Xeni to bend over and whimper into her brother.

Kyrie held her stripped doll close, her eyes full of concern for the hurt woman. She put her hand on her shoulder and said, "It's all right, Xeni. Don't talk too much."

She was still clutching at her brother, the pain observably unmerciful.

Boa began to tell Kyrie, "We're Sandwood's… we have history with the -"

"Hey, Kyrie!" Angela interrupted.

Boa looked at the twins angrily.

"Sorry, Boa," Pamela apologized.

"You should see what's in this box!" Angela said.

Kyrie told them, "In a second."

Boa went on, "What we're trying to say, Kyrie, Sparda didn't have a 'nice opinion' on… our kind centuries ago."

"You mean werewolves?"

This was when Xeni spoke up. "No, Sandwood's! There was a war between the dark forces and the forces of light. The clan of Sandwood was on the opposite side Sparda was on. He slaughtered plenty of us."

"You make it sound like you were there," Angela said.

"No," Xeni said. A groan escaped her, but it was impossible to know whether it was pain or anger. "But my great-great-great grandparents were."

"But, I thought you were adopted," Pamela said.

Xeni tried to stand, but was quickly dissuaded by Boa and Kyrie. Boa went to say something, but Kyrie beat him to it. "That doesn't matter. She's part of their family."

"Thanks, Kyrie," Boa said gratefully.

The twins both looked at each other like they couldn't understand that concept.

"Sparda warred with Sandwood and many other werewolf clans during that time. My family never forgot. We are natural enemies."

Kyrie was confused. "Why?"

"Because we are!" Xeni stated proudly.

"I don't understand, I haven't done anything to you, and you haven't done anything to me. So, why should we be enemies?"

Xeni snarled. "You don't understand! Because Sparda killed my family!"

Kyrie looked away and thought about that. She understood now. She had been born to believe in the greatness of Sparda, and all the accomplishments he had achieved during his time on Earth. The Order was everything, thorough in their history and in their telling of it. They had taught Kyrie everything about Sparda, including the war against the darkness. How the legendary dark knight fought against all the creatures of the night. Only now was she trying to unlearn some of The Order's lies, and even though Nero had done it easily, she was having a more difficult time of it.

However, even though she understood that loyalist mentality to one's family, she also understood that not everything was about what happened in the past. That people could become friends if they wanted to, even if their ancestors had bad blood in the past. She told Xeni as much too.

Boa cocked his head inquizically, and asked, "Do you think that both our families could become… friends?"

"Of course."

Xeni groaned out, " I highly doubt it."

"Kyrie," Pamela seemed to whine.

"What?!" Kyrie nearly snapped, but then saw what Angela was holding. It was a baseball bat with screws, barbwire, and razorblades. The twin swung it a few times and then smiled at the rest of the group.

"There's a whole crate full of these weapons!" Angela said cheerfully.

Looking back at the Sandwoods, then back at the twins, then back at Boa and Xeni, Kyrie sighed, saying, "We will talk about this later."

She stood up and went over to the military crate, looking inside. She saw quite a few different melee weapons. A sword, a machete, a few daggers and another bat, this one an aluminum bat with what looked to be welded on ice-skate blades. She held the heavy, awkward thing up and said to herself, "Poor craftsmanship."

Boa snatched it from her and glared at it devilishly. "This thing is mine!"

"It's not as good as it should be," Kyrie said.

Boa swung it a few times and said, "It's better!"

Kyire held her doll as she made the astute observation, "You had to refix your swing each time, that means it's horribly off balance."

Angela and Pamela were pulling out the daggers, telling Kyrie, "What does that matter?"

"It matters a lot," Kyrie said quietly.

Xeni tried to stand, but just slid back down the wall with a wince. "Boa!"

Her brother turned.

"Get me something."

Boa said joyfully, "They've got a sword."

"Give me."

The werewolf grabbed the blade and flung it towards his sister. She grabbed it expertly and swung it a couple of times. She told him, "A good blade."

"Can I see it?" Kyrie asked.

"Why?" Xeni asked.

Kyrie tried not to be hurt. "Because I'll be able to tell you if it's good or not."

Xeni seemed to roll the idea over in her head, and after much deliberation, presented the blade to Kyrie. She took it loosely and held it up, observing the blade. Her keen, well-trained eyes automatically caught sight of two bad welds in the sword and could feel the tiniest tinge of looseness in the handle. This was no katana, this was a horrible replication done by some amateur. She lowered it and asked carefully, "Promise you won't get mad?"

"What, it's no good?" Xeni barked.

"Well -"

Kyrie was cut off by a loud, mean buzzing. At first, she thought maybe Nero had found her, but the sound was too weak. That was no motorcycle engine, it was a chainsaw.

All of them looked towards the sound and watched as two figures stood in a bright light. One was a large, lumbering hulk dressed in a polka-dotted tutu wielding a giant chainsaw. He roared at the group with black sludge dripping from his mouth. The other was a slim woman, also dressed in a matching tutu, wielding double sais. She danced around the beast of a man, giggling as she pretended to lick the running chainsaw like a lollipop, telling the group in a seductive tone, "Oooh, who's going to get it first from my big boy here, huh?"

With a pair of daggers, Pamela went at the two, yelling, "You don't stand a chance!"

"NO!" Kyrie yelled.

It was too late. The woman spun out of the way and caught Pamela, laughing in her face as she ripped the daggers from her hands and stabbed her multiple times, all the while laughing in her face. Pamela went down in a bloody mess as the woman kept stabbing her, even after she was clearly dead.

Angela screamed with vengeance, going after these psychotic two with her wicked baseball bat.

The large man raised his chainsaw and ran it right through her baseball bat and Angela, cutting her in half.

Boa already had his sister over his shoulder, running away as she grabbed the sword from Kyrie's grasp. Kyrie cried out as she ran with them, trying to escape the two maniacs. She heard the girl with the sais say, "Ugh, look Panda, they want to run. No fun."

Kyrie hazard a glance and saw them coming right after them. She screamed out, "Nero! Please!" Not doubting for a second that Nero could hear her, she still called out his name, hoping that her lover would come to her rescue.

The surviving three raced down several hallways, crossing a metal bridge into a large room with a large carousel in the middle. It still seemed active as the lights and music sprang to life. It still stayed unmoving, but looked like it would begin to turn any second.

Boa laid Xeni down on a bench and told her, "Stay there."

Using her sword as a cane, Xeni assured him, "I'm not going anywhere."

Boa looked at Kyrie and asked, "Did you grab anything from the crate?"

Kyrie shook her head.

"Okay," Boa said. "I'll be back for the both of you."

"Wait!"

Boa ran out of sight, wielding his bladed baseball bat.

Kyrie yelled, "Come back, please!" That was when she heard that chainsaw getting louder and closer. She backed up against the carousel, hitting one of the polled horses with her back. She held her naked mummy mommy close, beginning to cry. When it sounded like the saw was right on top of her, she heard a metal clang from behind, making her jump away from the ride.

It was the girl with her sais. She slid one of the weapons down the back of the porcelain horse with a lick of her teeth and a small giggle. Another rev of the chainsaw came, making the girl look towards the sound, telling Kyrie, "I'll let Panda have his fun. I think I'll have some fun with you for awhile."

Kyrie backed away, hugging herself, averting her eyes from the sadistic female. The girl with the sais stalked Kyrie around the spinning carousel, dancing and riding the horses. Kyrie tried to think of something witty, something brave to say, but all words escaped her. Nothing came to mind as she tried to avoid the crazy girl.

"Oh, where are you going to run, baby?" the girl asked. She wrapped herself around one of the horses and stabbed it in the eye. She then screamed, "Where are you going to run?!"

Kyrie screamed and jumped off the spinning carousel and tried to run, but the girl jumped on her back, pushing her to the ground, sitting on top of her back with her arms crossed. She leaned down and licked the side of Kyrie's face. "Nowhere to run, baby. Just you and me." A small laugh came from her as she said, "You know, not sure what they see in you? Your not special, you run like the rest of them. So boring!"

She raised one of her sais to plunge it deep into Kyrie's skull, but then the chainsaw roared again and caught the attention of the psycho woman. She laughed as both her and Kyrie watched Boa, in wolf form, fight the big, chainsaw wielding humanoid with the razor bat.

Grinning, the crazy girl grabbed Kyrie by her hair and pulled her head up and said, "Watch this."

Boa fought valiantly against the maniac, and even managed to back him into a corner, but the large man kicked away the bat and cut deep into Boa's neck, serving his head.

Kyrie whimpered out, "That won't stop him."

The girl laughed. "You're right, whatever shall my big, strong boy do?" Getting up, pinning Kyrie to the ground with her knee, she yelled out, "Oh Panda?"

The large man turned and she tossed him one of his sais. He grabbed it, dropping the running chainsaw.

She looked back at Kyrie and said, "Solid silver, bitch!"

"NO! STOP, PLEASE!" Kyrie yelled.

The girl on top of her mimicked her callously, like a teenage bully. "No, stop, please. I don't want my puppy to die. Don't let Old Yeller die, ma!"

By this time, the brute known as Panda had stabbed Boa's head in the eye with the sai and Kyrie watched in horror as his body returned to human form, blood pouring from his severed neck. He was now truly dead. Kyrie knew no werewolf could stand up to silver through the brain.

The crazy girl on top of Kyrie moaned in delight. "You're next, baby. Don't worry, you'll see your mongrel in doggie hell very soon." She spun her one sai and went to plunge it into Kyrie's head, but then heard Panda's chainsaw rip into flesh, and him screaming.

She snapped her gaze up, along with Kyrie, and saw the big brute being cut to pieces by Xeni. She was roaring like a mad woman, cutting at any part of the human monster she could. Black blood jetted from Panda's body as he wailed in pain, being left in a pool of ink-colored fluid.

"NOO!" the girl screamed, leaping off of Kyrie at Xeni.

Kyrie grabbed her doll and shouted, "Look out!"

Xeni turned, but suddenly fell to the ground and dropped the chainsaw, obviously in extreme pain. The tutu wearing woman raced towards the surviving but down Sanwood with an animal rage. She went to stab Xeni, but the wounded woman raised her sword. The sai went right through it, breaking the blade to pieces and stabbed her in the shoulder. The tall woman screamed out as blood bubbled from the wound. More stabs came from the crazy girl as she plunged her sai into Xeni's shoulder over and over.

Kyrie got up and pulled the other sai from Boa's eye socket. She apologized and hit the girl over the head with the handle.

Xeni grabbed the sai from Kyrie and the one from the tutu wearing maniac. She became a flurry of silver vengeance. Each stab was in a different place and was followed with, "How do you like it, huh?! Crazy, psychotic, loud-mouthed, brain-damaged witch! Die! Die! DIE!"

She had already died a few seconds ago, but Xeni was still stabbing, still screaming obscenities, still angry and full of rage. Kyrie sat on the bench on the merry-go-round and held her doll close. She waited for Xeni to be done.

The carousel slowly stopped and the lights suddenly went off. When it came to a stand still, Xeni came around and sat next to Kyrie. She was in copious amounts of pain, bleeding from her shoulder and holding her stomach. She looked over at Kyrie with a long huff and asked with a few groans, "Don't suppose you've got anymore of those bandages?"

Kyrie solemnly shook her head.

Xeni nodded. She moaned out, "Shit really hurts, you know?"

"I wish there was something I could do," Kyrie mournfully said.

Struggling, she slid up a little and said, "That's alright. Not like I've really been a confident of yours."

"You were."

Biting back against some of the pain, Xeni looked at her slain brother and burst into tears. "So was he." Xeni became a mess. She cried hard and loud. "I can't believe this!"

Kyrie looked down and said, "I'm sorry. The pain never goes away. You just have to live with it. It bottles up and -"

Xeni looked at Kyrie, her cheeks soaked in tears, her face as red as an apple, her lips stuttering as she spoke. "You have no idea what I'm feeling right now," she said harshly. "Our entire lives have been nothing but a damn, a damn war. We had to struggle at every point in our life. And it was just him and me. We… we use to have to steal everything. Our parents were poor, and all we had were each other. I hated doing it. Didn't have much of a choice. No friends because of what we were, or what our family was. It was us against the world. And I knew, one damn day, we would lose."

Kyrie waited to see if she was done. After nearly two minutes of sobbing, she got up and walked a little ways in front of Xeni. There was a lot going through her; mostly anger. She held her doll close and gritted her teeth. Taking a breath, she conjured up every angry face Nero had made, which she didn't see very often, and every frustrated look Vergil had given his brother. She shut her eyes and envisioned what she was going to say and would try very hard to put it as Nero or Vergil would. Opening her eyes, she began. "Are you finished?"

Xeni looked up at Kyrie and mumbled out through sobs, "What?!"

"I asked if you were finished. Are you?"

"Finished with -"

"Because, you might not believe this, but whatever you think you're going through, I know plenty of people who have gone through a hell of a lot worse than you… quite literally with some of them. And guess what, Xeni, I'm one of them."

Kyrie could tell she had the blonde's attention.

"You think you're the only one who has lost a family member to battle? A brother, no less? I lost my brother, too, Xeni. I lost him to the very people who raised me, the very order I served. My fiance, he lost nearly his whole family to demons, and my brother was a brother to him. Now, maybe you believe in demons, maybe you don't, doesn't really matter… and I don't really care. What matters is that I understand what it's like to lose a brother to battle. So when you sit there and tell me 'I have no idea how you're feeling,' when I lost my brother to somebody who I considered a father to me - a mentor - yeah, you have no idea! I want to help you Xeni, like I did before. I know how you feel, better than your probably realize right now. So… so get off that bench and let's get the hell out of here!"

Staring at Kyrie with tears streaming down her face, Xeni pushed through some pain walked over to Kyrie and said, "You're right, I had no idea. I'm sorry." She then put out her hand to shake Kyrie's.

Kyrie just wrapped her hands around Xeni and said with a few tears of her own, "We hug in this family."

A small whimper came from Xeni as she embraced Kyrie and cried into her, even though she was half a foot taller than The Order defying singer. They both walked out of the area with Kyrie trying to hold up Xeni, and still keeping a firm grip on her doll.

Xeni made the off-hand remark, "God, you love that thing don't you?"

"I'm thinking on calling her Mercy."

"Kind of cliche, isn't it?"

Kyrie gave Xeni a smile and giggled, "That's the whole point!"
