Chapter 72: Bonus Chapter 7

A Gift from The Future

X - X - X

"Everyone ready?" A grey furred wolf with blood red eyes asked. The people around him nodded and cocked their weapons. "Alexei, are you sure about this? We might be equipped with heavy tanks capable of defeating the German's Tiger I and II but i don't think it would be enough" His friend, Dimitri worriedly said. "Rest assured Dimitri. We would prevail. Victory would come swiftly" Alexei patted his shoulder in a reassuring way. Dimitri smiles and nods his head. He could never doubt his commander.

Alexei exited the big tent to go to the command post nearby. There, he would reasses the situation one last time. Arriving in the tent everyone salute him. "General Alexei!" Everyone greeted. "At ease comrades" He saluted back. He looks onto the map detailing every single forces in the upcoming battle. Both friendly and hostile.

"So what should i expect from this battle?" He asked. "You are going to experince the heaviest fighting from the battle, however, should you successfully broken through their last line of defense, there would be nothing but broken German formation all the way to Berlin. They would not be able to stop the Red Army to march right to the heart of the wretched Reich" One of the Major explained. Alexei nods his head in confirmation. As far as he can see from the map, the parts where his army would attempt to break through are indeed the most heavily defended. But that doesn't deter him.

"How many are there?" "About one tenth of their total strength. Ten thousand men" "And how much in total?" Alexei asked again. "According to our intelligence, about one hundred thousand men to defend the Seelow Heights". Alexei smiles. "They are no match to our two and a half million soldiers. Wave upon wave of Russian will come to their front door". "But i should add some things General" Another person, a Colonel said.

"Yes Colonel?" Alexei gave him the permission to speak. "They are deploying their best tanks in your areas. You are to expect a large number of Tiger I and Tiger II. Although we might be far superior in number, those guns the Tigers possesed are superior than ours. And they can also reload faster than us".

"No worries. The T-34s are going to be the bait. The IS-2s are going to deliver the killing blow. They cannot focus on two things at once" Alexei answered. "Very well then, man your battlestations. Good luck. Dismissed" Alexei salutes them all before going out of the tent. When he got back to his tent he was surprised to see a heavy tank he never see before.

"A beauty isn't it?" Someone asked him in a happy tone. Turning his head to the side he sees his best friend since the Battle of Stalingrad, Kazmir. "What is this Kazmir? A new model of the IS-2?" Alexei asked. "Eh you can say that. Call it a gift from me. This one should help us defeating those German armors" Kazmir replied. Alexei has to admit that this tank is way larger than the latest model of the IS-2. "What's the caliber of the gun?" He asked. "130mm. Packs an awful lot of punch wouldn't you think?" "130mm?!" Alexei gapped. "Yes and it's equipped with a sophisticated technology that would allow you to reload it in 7 seconds and, moves around like a medium tank". Alexei looks him deadly on the eyes. "Is this some kind of joke? Where do you get this?".

"I am not joking and as for where i got this pretty lady, it's a secret" Kazmir answered with a wink. Alexei sighs and tells his crew to enter the tank. "Whoa this is something else" Dimitri said looking at his working spot as the tank driver. "Why there are so many machine guns in here? Are we going to be able to fire them all?" Leonid asked. "Don't worry about it! I have enough ammo to keep them going for a week!" Kazmir laughed. "These shells are heavier than normal IS-2 shells. I hope these bad boys can pierce through those German armor like hot knife through butter!" Igor, the tank loader said. "No need to be worried big warrior! Those shells are the death blows to those who are unfortunate enough to get caught in the way!" Kazmir replied.

Alexei assumed the tank commander's role, as usual. "Alright everyone get ready! Are you ready Zarya?!" Alexei asked his female wolf pet. He saved her during an air raid in Stalingrad. Her name came from the time when she was saved, dawn. She never leave his side ever since and even became a mascot of their group. She even got her own customized tanker helmet. Zarya howls for him to show that she's ready. "Good girl Zarya!" Igor strokes her head. "Alright! Dimitri! Forward!" Alexei ordered. Dimitri does as he said and to his surprise this tank handles like a medium tank but smoother and lighter.

"My god driving this thing is so easy! I don't have to break my arm everytime i want to change gears! And it's really fast too!" Dimitri confessed. "Wait until you try the reverse speed" Kazmir added. Dimitri changes the gear to reverse and all he can do is to smile widely. "I am in love with this tank". Alexei looks out of the tank to see his own division around him.

"Comrades! Death to the fascist! URA!"

"URAAAAA!".
