We patrolled for a little while longer and then called it a night. Nothing else had happened after we'd - I'd - killed those pyro climate freaks. We returned to Avengers tower and to our quarters. Pegasus returned via portal to Olympus for now and Jack stayed in the living area; the latter very much acting like a normal dog with a bone; literally.

Peter and I were quiet and not tired as we got into bed for the night. We just laid there and looked up at the ceiling. "I'm not judging you Di for killing baddies. I'm really not." He reached out and took my hand. "I know. We've just been through so much already. I want to keep things good. Tonight was the best I've felt in a long time; excluding our wedding/wedding night of course." He squeezed my hand/laughed. "Yeah, I know." He rolled onto his side to face me. "What's eating at you though?" "The injustice here has either gone up or we weren't as aware of it as we should have been." He frowned while giving that comment more thought. "Well, we are still new to this reality. We just need to give it some time." "Yeah."

He touched my cheek with a finger and slowly went down to my neck. "I'm the luckiest man in the world Di." I turned my head toward him and smiled. "My luck hasn't been bad either." We shared a small kiss. "I say we go to the lab tomorrow and just start being Peter and Diana and see what happens," he said. "We're always on call." "Very true." He then looked down at my body; I obviously knew what he wanted. I made myself ready for the man I loved; I then let my husband take me. This was the kind of amazon loving submission I never minded. What occurred soon thereafter was very nice...

I knew he'd want children someday; so did I; but I'd made a pact with father - no kids until I became Zeus 2. To do anything else was to put them in brother's way; and that was never good. Peter was a god now; we could wait; even eons if needed. But someday, when the time was right, and I was all powerful, we would do that. We still needed to broach that subject at some point but we were still newlyweds. There'd be time for all of that. It was just my warrior way to ever plan ahead.

With brother War I had to.

"Welcome to the main Stark Industries R and D laboratory," said Dr. Donald Birch. "I manage the main lab here in New York; my specialty is genetics." "Thank you for having us Doctor Birch." "Nonsense Doctor Parker. You and your husband have done so much for the planet already. When Mister Stark said you were joining our staff I was elated. We all are." "This is Dr. Abraham Klein; my assistant manager. His focus is nanotechnology." "Welcome to Stark labs both of you." Peter's eyes lit up in true nerd fashion at the nanotech mention. "Nanotech?" "That's right Mister Parker." "Did you have anything to do with Mister Stark's suit designs?" "Some; but when it comes to the IM tech he prefers to do the main/vital developments on his own." "My nano focus is medical actually; even though I come more from the tech side of it my focus is medical/bio applications." "Biomed is always a fascinating field," I said. "I've done some work in that. I might be able to help." "Of course. Your specialty is applied physics Doctor Parker?" "Yes." "I think we could put you to go use." I smiled. "Mister Parker here and I are ready. Let's dive in." Birch nodded at Klein. "I've leave them to you then Doctor Klein." "Thank you Doctor Birch. Doctor Parker, Mister Parker, please follow me."

I didn't care for all the formality but it was a professional work space and one of the most famous labs in the world. Howard Stark had created and made it a legend during the SSR in this reality's WW2. Thus it was an incomparable professional honor to be here. And as much as I wanted to kick evil butt I was most happy in a place like this. I'd spent my early formative years on Themyscira learning warfare from Aunt Antiope; but my later ones had been in Olympus, and under Athena's direct instruction (which most didn't realize!) for Z2/WW training. From her I'd learned everything arts/sciences until earning a physics doctorate equivalent. A student could have no better teacher than the wisdom/knowledge/education goddess herself; and it had been one on one. And best of all...it had been free! Beat that mortal grads!

It didn't long for my man and I to become quite literally lost in the place - but all in good ways. We would definitely make a home here; and it would be here that Pete would get his doctorate like me. Specialty? He leaned toward life sciences from what I could tell; his fateful collision with all things arachnid had seemed to set him on a fixed path where that was concerned. But he was a gifted generalist as well. We'd see.

We donned our lab coats and other safety gear for the first time and went to work. Awesome!
