Chapter 57 is here, and I got to say I am looking forward to NXT TakeOver: Portland. It is going to be a very interesting show. So many good matches all set up and then we got one more before WrestleMania. I hope it all goes well and such a shame the Undisputed Era are going to the main roster.
They did all they could for NXT and now I hope when they come to the main roster they won't be wasted. Also, calling it now they are coming to SmackDown. That brand needs them more than Raw. Also, let's be honest…Raw is where talent goes to die.
But that's just me talking. I want to thank everyone for the reviews for the last chapter. I appreciate it guys and I'm glad you all liked it. I also hope you all will like the last chapter before Ruby takes time off and we skip to January.
What will happen before we get to it? Will I not mention what happens on SmackDown? Will I even keep it the same? Tune in today to find out.
All right, well with what being said we should get started with the disclaimer. I don't own anything from WWE. I only own my OC Ruby Takashi. Although, let's be honest do they own the people themselves? Probably not.
Still, better safe than sorry. Now, let the chapter begin.
Final Year. New Year, and New Beginning
Los Angeles, California (11/18/2018)
It has been nearly 24 hours since NXT TakeOver: WarGames II and Ruby was exhausted. After the show ended, she was taken to the hospital to stitch up her cut from above her eye. She didn't like stitches, but Kairi was there with her so she toughed it out. The doctor also recommended her taking some time off since she might have suffered a concussion.
However, they needed to run some tests on her first before they can determine that. If it isn't a concussion, then she will be okay. With the way the match went last night she wouldn't be surprise if she did get injured. Although, if she isn't then she is still going to use her time off for her wedding.
She had asked Triple H for some time off, which he was okay with. Provided she comes back in time for the Royal Rumble show. Ruby was fine with this and announced she will take some time off. She knows the fans won't be happy with this, but she wanted to spend time with Kairi and have their wedding soon.
However, before she goes on her time off, she wanted to go see Survivor Series and wish the guys luck. All while hoping Daniels walks out still WWE Champion so she can challenge him for the title when she gets back. She knows Daniels has a fight on his hand, but she is confident he will win. They sat in the private box so she can watch the show with Kairi and so they can relax.
They got to watch the pre-show with the traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match. Team Usos (the Usos and Sanity) going up against Team New Day (the New Day, Rusev, & Aiden Englush). It was a pretty entertaining match with the New Day and Sanity being eliminated during the match. It was soon down to Rusve and Aiden English against the Usos.
However, Aiden English ended up turning on Rusev and walked out of him. Allowing the Usos to hit a double Superkick and then hit the double Diving Splash to get the win. The crowd booed loudly at Aiden for what he did, but he didn't care and heads to the back. All while the Usos celebrate their win.
The next match has a battle royal to see who will fight the Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey. The SmackDown Women's Champion, Becky Lynch was supposed to face off against Ronda, but during a brawl on Raw she got injured. Asuka ended up winning the match after eliminating Charlotte Flair last to get the big win. Ruby is happy that Asuka won and is looking forward to her facing off against Ronda tonight.
Soon, the show officially begins as the first match has Team Strowman (Braun Strowman, the Bar, & Beer Money) going up against Team Corbin (Baron Corbin, the Authors of Pain, & the Revival). It was a good back and forth match, with the tag teams using their double team moves on the other. Until it was down to Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman after their teammates got eliminated. Strowman got the win and became the sole survivor for his team.
The next match has Buddy Murphy, defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Mustafa Ali one-on-one. Ruby has been very impressed with how well the match has gone and how well both men have come since they joined the Cruiserweight division.
Ruby knew this is the last time the title will be defended on pay-per-view since Triple H is bringing the division to NXT. She is sad to see it go to NXT, but she knew this is going to give all the talent in the Cruiserweight division getting a good push.
It soon ended with Buddy getting the win and retains his title against Ali. Ali though knew he came close to winning the title and so did the fans who hope he gets another shot.
The next match has former best friends, Dean Ambrose challenging Seth Rollins for his Intercontinental title. This feud happened after Roman Reigns left and Dean turned on his former partner, Seth. Soon for weeks Ambrose has attacked Seth every chance he got. Whether during a match, before a match, after a match, or even in the back.
Before this match even began, the two men began to brawl up the entrance stage. They then began fighting through the crowd before they fought back to ringside. Dean took control after hitting Seth with the ring bell and then hits him with Dirty Deeds through the announce table. Dean throws Seth into the ring and demands the referee to ring the bell.
The referee asks Seth if he wants to continue and Seth nods despite looking completely out of it. The bell rings and Dean hits Seth with a second Dirty Deeds. He then picks him up and hits him one more time before he goes for the cover getting one…two…and three! Dean Ambrose has won the match and is the new Intercontinental Champion.
Oh, Ruby knows this isn't over and Seth will want some payback against Dean. Something she is looking forward to seeing as the fans booed at Dean. Dean poses with the title and celebrates while Seth is helped to the back.
The next has Team Styles (AJ Styles, Frankie Kazarian, Rey Mysterio, Finn Bálor, & Daniel Bryan) going up against Team Aries (Austin Aries, Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, Drew McIntyre, & Dolph Ziggler).
This was probably the best match of the night because of who was in the match. Just the ten men she knew so well and how they countered one another. Each hitting their best moves and coming close to eliminating the other. It took time but soon people began getting eliminated until it was down to Austin Aries, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura against AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan.
Near the end of the match, AJ managed to eliminate Andrade and soon managed to wear down Nakamura. He goes to finish him off when Bryan tags himself in and soon he got into an argument with AJ. Ruby knew the two men have been having problems for weeks ever since Bryan became the number one contender for the WWE title. However, Bryan lost his match against Daniels after AJ accidentally cost him the match when he tried to stop Austin Aries.
Bryan got angry with what AJ did and the two men began going at it. Until this helped Nakamura eliminate Bryan. AJ took out Nakamura to the outside and prepares to leap over the top rope to hit him. AJ goes to jump up but Bryan pulls him down and hits him with a low-blow as the crowd looks on shocked.
Even Ruby looks on surprised by this as she sees Bryan turning on AJ. Ruby soon hears the crowd booing loudly at Bryan before he walks out of the ring. Austin and Nakamura soon finished AJ Styles off to get the win as the sole survivors of the match. The crowd continued to boo as Aries and Nakamura pose in the ring for their victory.
Ruby got up from her seat and tells Kairi she'll be back since she wanted to go talk to check on AJ, while wondering what is going on with Bryan.
Backstage
Daniel Bryan is seen getting dressed as he throws his stuff in his bag, while looking pissed off. Ruby opens the door and Bryan sees her before he looks away to finish packing.
"Hey, what's going on?" Ruby asked as she walks up to Bryan. "Why you upset?"
"I don't want to talk about it," said Bryan as he finishes and prepares to leave, but Ruby grabs his right arm. "Ruby, get your hands off me. Now."
"Easy, Bryan. It's me, your friend. Talk to me. What's going on?" Ruby asked figuring something is up. "Okay, look I know you have not been happy with how things have been going for you these last few weeks. But you shouldn't take it out on your friends. Okay? Now, let's talk and settle this."
Bryan breaths in and out to calm down as Ruby slowly removes her hand from his arm. Bryan turns towards Ruby and sighed.
"I don't have to explain myself to you, AJ, or anyone else. All I care about right now is going home, spend time with my family, and then get ready for my title match this Tuesday," said Bryan as he replied in a calm tone but before he leaves, he has one more thing to say. "And if you get in my way of winning back my WWE title…I will make you regret it."
Bryan grabs his things and soon walks out of the room. All while Ruby sighed softly and looks down on the floor disappointed in her friend. She has no idea what the hell is going on with Bryan, but she knows whatever it is…it can't be good.
Later
Once Ruby got back to her seat, she sees the rest of the show continuing. With Asuka going up against the Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey in a lumberjill match. Wirth members from SmackDown and Raw women surrounding the ring. The match ended up in a no contest when the women began to brawl in the ring.
Asuka though did managed to take down Ronda with a chair. She lays it across Ronda before she got out of the ring. Asuka soon poses in the ring with the women from SmackDown. All while Ronda looks on angrily as Asuka makes it clear she isn't afraid of Ronda and how the Empress of Tomorrow is still undefeated.
The next match has Bobby Lashley defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Shelton Benjamin. The crowd cheered loudly for Benjamin who is getting his first ever pay-per-view world title match. Chad Gable came out with Benjamin and wishes him luck on his match. Bobby Lashley came out as the crowd boos at him as he poses with the title.
Soon the match began with Benjamin using his speed and athleticism against Bobby's power. Even countering every bit of his moves as the fans cheered on Benjamin. Ruby is happy to see how well Benjamin is doing and even surprised Bobby. Until Bobby took back control and soon began hitting him down.
Beating his opponent down repeatedly as the fans cheered for Benjamin to fight back. Benjamin did try fighting back but each time he tries to gain some momentum, Bobby knocks him down. Bobby knocked him to the outside and then attacked Chad Gable who is trying to cheer on his partner. Benjamin sees this and gets angry as he attacks Bobby as the crowd cheer him on.
Bobby is thrown back in the ring as Benjamin makes his comeback as the fans cheered him on. During the match though, the referee got knocked down and Bobby hits him with a low-blow before trying to get the win. However, Gable distracted Bobby and the fans begin cheering loudly when they saw someone sliding into the ring. Soon the man is revealed to be Charlie Haas as the fans popped loudly.
Charlie catches Bobby and hits an Exploder Suplex! Charlie and Shelton soon are together as the fans cheered loudly. Both men embrace in a hug before they turn to Bobby so they can take him out. Charlie lifts the champion on the top rope, so Benjamin runs to the ropes and leaps over Charlie to hit a Leapfrog Stun Gun! The crowd cheered loudly as Charlie gets out of the ring to join Gable as Benjamin hits Bobby with the Paydirt!
As Charlie and Gable look on to see Benjamin go for the pin, they are attacked from behind. The crowd booed loudly as Benjamin looks on wondering what is going on. The two attackers appeared to be wearing hoodies and a mask covering their mouths. The two men begin to remove the hood and masks as the fans look on shocked when they see who it is.
They see the two attackers are Kenny King and MVP! The crowd and Benjamin couldn't believe this as they see both men back in WWE. This distraction allowed Bobby to recover and hit Benjamin with a big Spear! Bobby goes for the cover as the referee recovered as he goes one…two…and three!
Bobby Lashley has retained the world title and the crowd booed loudly. MVP and Kenny King go into the ring as they push the referee out of the way. MVP then hands Bobby the title and soon all three men embraced in a hug. The crowd keeps on booing as they are shocked with what happened and how Benjamin got screwed.
Even Ruby looks on shocked by this and couldn't believe Bobby retained the world title with some help. She didn't like it, but damn nothing much that can be done about it.
The next match is what Ruby waited to see. Her girls, Team Valkyries (Jasmine Strong, Sakura Muta, Karina Khan, Luna Guerrera, & Olivia Knight) against Team Divas (the Bella Twins, Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, & Mickie James). Oh, Ruby has been looking forward to this match and see her girls kick some ass. She knew for weeks, the Bella Twins have been having issues with the new girls and how they have been walking all over the women who build this division.
But tonight, they are going to make them all pay. So, they all came out and Brie started off the match with Karina as she mocks her and slaps her in the face. Karina may be sweet and innocent looking, but the girl is not weak. Karina hits her with a Roundhouse Kick and then hits her with the Cradle Shock before she eliminated Brie.
The crowd cheered loudly for Karina while the others looked on shocked. Karina tags in Luna as she got in the ring with Alicia Fox as she kicks her in the face. Alicia grabs Luna and then drives her into the corner as she begins beating her down. The crowd boos at Alicia, who just yells at them to shut up.
Alicia grabs her hat and puts it on as she charges at Luna. Luna lifts her whole body off the mat and Alicia hits the turnbuckle pad. Luna then flips herself over, grabs Alicia's head, and hits the Nightmare Moon (Standing sitout shiranui) as she gets the one…two…and three. Now, Alicia Fox is gone before Luna rolls over and tags in Olivia just as Mickie James came in the ring.
Olivia runs in and hits the Jumping Reverse STO to Mickie James as she gets the cover getting one…two…and three! Mickie James is gone as the fans cheered loudly as the Valkyries are on a role. They soon turn their attention to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella as the two women look at each other before they climb down off the apron. They then begin to try to escape, but Luna, Olivia, Karina, and Sakura run over to grab them then drag them back into the ring.
Jasmine runs over and hits both women with a double Clothesline! Luna tags Jasmine in and she lifts Bliss up for a Chokeslam! Jasmine goes for the cover getting one…two…and three! Now, Nikki Bella is the last member of her team as she looks around to see she is surrounded.
Nikki looks on a little terrified as she tries to plead for them to let her go. But Sakura didn't give her a chance to escape as she kicks her in the head and then locks in the Muta Lock! Nikki begins tapping out right away as the referee calls for the bell and Team Valkyries win the match. The crowd cheered loudly for all five women as they pose in the ring.
All while Jasmine holds her Women's Intercontinental title and the Lucha Knights hold their Women's Tag Team titles high. Ruby and Kairi applaud for the five women. Happy with how well they did. All while Ruby felt very proud of her girls and how she opened the door for them all to get a chance to show what they can do.
Since they arrived, they have made a name for themselves in WWE. Fans have taken noticed of what these women can do and how they all deserve to be here. She wonders though, how long it will take before these women move on from the women's division and come to her territory. Oh now that will be very interesting to see when that day comes.
It was now finally time for the WWE Championship match. Ruby sees Brock Lesnar coming out with Paul Heyman before Christopher Daniels came out with his title around his waist. The two men will face off in a No Holds Barred match, which means anything goes. Daniels rushes into the ring with a chair he pulled from under the ring and throws it as Brock who punches it away.
Daniels jumps on Brock and begins punching him. Brock though uses his power to lift Daniels up and then runs into the corner. Soon, Brock took full control and began beating down Daniels. Even threw him to the outside and began beating him down.
Daniels though managed to take back control and used a ring bell to hit him in the head. Brock goes down and Daniels began using every weapon he could find to take him down. The fans got behind the ring general as he used a chair, Singapore Cane, trash cans, and even a ladder. The crowd cheered him on, and Daniels showed he could take down the beast.
However, Brock took back control and began beating him down. Brock used a chair to smash it across Daniels' back. To the point he broke the chair and throws it away. Brock soon lifted Daniels up and hits him with the F5 right on the announce table as it breaks. Brock throws Daniels in getting one…two…but Daniels kicked out.
Brock looks on surprised by this but decides he will continue punishing Daniels. Brock sets up a table in the corner and goes to use it on him. Daniels hits Brock with a low blow before he takes the chair in the ring and slams it right on the head of Brock. Daniels then goes for the Best Moonsault Ever!
Daniels goes for the cover getting one…two…but Brock kicked out! Daniels couldn't believe it but he didn't let this stop him. Daniels grabs some more chairs and throws it in the ring as he prepares to hit Brock with Angel's Wings on the pile of chairs. However, Brock countered and hits a German Suplex right on the chairs.
Brock then lifts Daniels up and hits him with another F5! Brock goes for the cover getting one…two…but Daniels just barely got the shoulder up! The crowd cheered loudly as they couldn't believe the match isn't over. Even Paul and Brock look on shocked by this.
Brock begins kicking the chairs out of the ring and gets on Daniels before he begins punching him in the head. He cuts him open and soon Daniels begins to bleed. Brock laughs at this as the crowd booed loudly at him. Brock lifts up Daniels and goes for a third F5.
However, Daniels got off of Brock and lands near the table in the corner. Brock comes running at him, but Daniels moved out of the way and he goes through the table! The crowd cheered from this as Daniels quickly grabs a chair and slams it on Brock's head not once…not twice…but three times! Daniels then hits a low-blow on Brock before hitting him with the Angel's Wings!
Daniels then hits three Best Moonsault Ever as he goes for the cover getting one…two…but Brock just barely kicked out! The crowd look on shocked now that Brock kicked out of that. Daniels though grabs Brock and lifts him up at best he can to finish him off. But Brock lifts Daniels up and hits him with the third F5!
However, Brock was out of it as he couldn't get the three-count. Brock gets up and has Paul give him a knife. Brock uses the knife to cut on the mat and pull it open so he can reveal the boards of the ring. The crowd booed as Brock flips off the fans before he turns to a bloodied Daniels.
Brock has Daniels on his shoulders and begins setting things up for a final F5. He goes for it, but Daniels countered into a Tornado DDT right in the boards! Daniels then gets up and goes for the Best Moonsault Ever! He hits it but Brock caught him and begins lifting himself up.
He then lifts Daniels on his shoulders, but Daniels managed to fight him off and gets behind him before he gets a Roll-Up! Daniels gets one…two…Daniels uses the ropes and gets three! The crowd popped just as Brock kicked out before three. Christopher Daniels retained the WWE title and has defeated Brock Lesnar.
The crowd cheered loudly, and they begin chanting for Daniels. Daniels rolls out under the ropes and to the outside as he is given his title. Daniels begins getting up slowly as he has his hands raised while his face is completely red from his blood. Brock, meanwhile, is also bleeding but looked pissed. H
Brock couldn't believe this and hated this so much. He not only lost to someone who he felt is inferior, but he lost his chance to regain his title back. Paul Heyman looked on shocked and disappointed as Daniels is helped up the ramp. Ruby meanwhile applauds for her best friend and on beating Brock Lesnar.
She knows from experience how tough Brock is. She knows he isn't easy to take down or even defeat. Yet in the end, Daniels found a way and used his years of experience to win his match. Ruby is happy he won and knows Daniels deserves has shown how much he deserves to be champion.
Soon, AJ Styles made his way out with Frankie Kazarian and Beer Money to begin to celebrate with their friend. They even bring out a towel to help clean the blood off of Daniels' head. Once they finished and begin helping lift Daniels up. All while the fans cheered loudly and chanted Daniels' name and chant how he deserves this.
Later
Ruby and Kairi began to leave the arena box once they saw the fans almost gone. They decided to wait a little longer so they can sneak away and get out of here. They love their fans, but both girls were so tired that they wanted to go to bed together. So, once the fans were nearly gone they decided to take off.
Ruby turns to Kairi and took her hand as they head on out. As they begin to leave, Kairi stops Ruby and leans in to kiss her on the cheek. Ruby giggled from the kiss and strokes her hair back. All while Kairi leans in and embraced her with a big hug.
"Ai shite iru yo, saiai no kimi," said Kairi as she tells her she loves her, her love.
Ruby wraps her arms around her fiancé and kissed her forehead. "I love you too…my love."
The two soon stare at each other before they embraced in a passionate kiss. The two closed their eyes and enjoyed the kiss as they held each other. The kiss lasted for what felt like hours but was only a few minutes until they broke the kiss. They stared at each other and smiled happy to be together.
Before they can kiss, they hear someone clearing their throat. They look over to see Jasmine, Sakura, Olivia, Luna, Karina, Gail Kim, and Io Shirai standing nearby. Having just taken pictures and videos of the happy couple. Ruby and Kairi break the hug looking annoyed what their friends are doing.
"You guys done?" Ruby asked as Sakura nods.
"Sorry," Sakura apologized. "We just wanted to have a little bit of fun. Anyways, we're going back to the hotel to get some rest. But we're still on for the bridal shower?"
Ruby turns to Kairi and nods in response. "Yeah, we'll be ready for it. Just remember, it's before the 1st of December. So, you all better be there for the wedding."
Ruby had to remind her friends that the wedding is on December 1st so they can get to Hawaii early. The happy couple decided to have the wedding there and managed to invite their family to come by. They even invited their friends or at least those that can make it. But she wants her dumb friends there since one is her best 'man' and the other four volunteered to help set the wedding up.
"Don't worry about it. We'll be there before you all figure out what 'budgie smugglers,' without using your phones," said Jasmine as she tells her friends an Australian slang that she figures will bother her friends to figure this out.
Olivia thinks about what her friend said and knew this is going to bother her. "This better not be as stupid as that 'spit the dummy' slang. Shit, I'm going to figure this out."
"Well, for now let's get going guys," said Karina figuring they should leave and head to the hotel. "I would like to shower and get some sleep."
Ruby held Kairi's hand and smiles at her. "Let's go then guys," said Ruby as the happy couple follow their friends knowing in 13 days, they will get married.

Portland, Oregon (12/30/2018)
It has been six weeks since Ruby left WWE to go marry her fiancé…now wife, Kairi. Since then, Ruby has also used the chance to recover from her injuries. She didn't suffer a concussion, but upon further examinations, she did suffer some minor injuries. Injuries that can become more than minor if she doesn't take time off.
So, Ruby took these six weeks off to recover and spend all her time with her wife. The two moved into Ruby's home in Portland and have been able to spend time relaxing. At least, whenever Kairi wasn't busy with her matches in NXT. Luckily for Kairi, after WarGames, Shanya was going to be out for a month.
But, Kairi was dealing with Bianca Belair, who has been wanting a title match against her. But, since last week was going to be around the holidays, NXT didn't have a show. So, Kairi went to spend time with Ruby and the two celebrated Christmas together. Although, Ruby wish everyone had a good holiday.
After she left, Christopher Daniels lost the WWE title on SmackDown, two days after Survivor Series. It turns out, Daniel Bryan wanted a shot at the WWE title and invoked his title shot that night. Daniels accepted and the two had their match, but near the end, Bryan hits Daniels with a low blow and got the win. Stealing the WWE title and solidifying his heel turn.
Since then, Bryan changed. He went after the fans and after all those who supported him for what he did. But claims he is the hero in this fight and even got rid of the WWE title. For a brand-new title that looks like it was made out of wood.
Ruby knew when she gets back, she'll have to knock some sense into Bryan. But for now, she is finishing packing her things so she can get ready to go back to SmackDown. While her wife goes back to NXT so they can both be ready for the first show of the New Year. On the bright side, they'll be spending New Years Eve together.
After that, they both have to get ready for their show appearances. Ruby gets the last of her things ready when she sees her wife coming into the room with a small bag.
"You forgot this," said Kairi as she shows what's in the bag, which contains Ruby's books.
"Thank you," said Ruby as she took the bag and turns to her wife before she leans in to kiss her cheek. "You ready to go?"
Kairi nods as she smiles at her before moving her hand along her wife's sides noticing her wincing a little. "Daijōbu?" (you going to be okay?)
Ruby knew she was still a little bit in pain from all she went through this year, especially in WarGames. However, it didn't hurt as much as before.
"I'll be all right. Just need to take it easy when I return," Ruby replied knowing that Shane is not going to have her compete for the next few weeks until the Royal Rumble. "Just be careful too. I heard Shanya is coming back this week and apparently she wants her rematch for the title."
Kairi is aware of this and knows Shanya will demand to be put in the title match at TakeOver: Phoenix. But, due to the match set between Kairi and Bianca, that isn't going to happen. This means, it will likely be for an NXT show or perhaps even at the TakeOver: New York show. All possibilities, but she'll know when she gets to the show tomorrow.
"Daijōbudesu. Kanojo wa taitoru shotto o nozonde iru koto o shitte imasuga, konkai wa kanojo no junbi ga dekite imasu," Kairi replied and reassures her wife she'll be okay. (I will be okay. I know she will want her title shot, but this time I will be ready for her)
Ruby knows Kairi can handle herself and she'll want her to refocus on the main roster. Ruby knows she will have to, especially how she has a chance to make history again. To win the Royal Rumble for the second time and go on to WrestleMania for the WWE title. She is getting her title back and before the year is over, the empress will take over again.
"Your right. Well, let's get the last of the bag's downstairs and in the car. That way by the time we wake up tomorrow, everything will be in the car," and that way they won't panic if they forget something.
However, Kairi held her hand and shook her head. "You forgot something," Kairi soon hands Ruby an envelope.
Ruby looks at it confused until she opened it and sees an I.O.U. she wrote for Kairi for Christmas when she couldn't give her the last gift, she planned for her. Ruby begins chuckling as she turns to her wife who gives her a small wink.
"Well, I am feeling a lot better now. I just hope you are ready for what I am going to give you," said Ruby as she sees her wife leaning close to her and leans close to her ears to whisper.
"Soshite, anata ga ichinichijū nagatsudzuki suru koto o negatte imasu. Ikutsu ka no pojishon ga aru node tameshite mitaikara," Kairi whispered in a sensual tone as she gives her neck a small lick.
Ruby shuttered a little as Kairi begins heading to the bathroom to put on the outfit she wanted to wear for Christmas. Ruby meanwhile felt her face turning red and gulped a little.
"S-shit, she is so freaking amazing," said Ruby as she goes to put the bags outside, so they don't get them messy. She then closes the blinds and waits for Kairi to come out so they can begin having some fun…a very long fun day.
SmackDown 1/1/19
The New Year has begun, and the show opens up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the fans cheered loudly. They couldn't wait for the first show of the New Year and they are looking forward to tonight's main event. It is advertised it is going to be AJ Styles versus Christopher Daniels versus Austin Aries. The winner will go on to the Royal Rumble to fight Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship.
However, the show kicks off with the New Day coming out with the fans cheering them on. Kofi and Xavier dressed in nice suits, while Big E is dressed as the New Year's Baby. The New Day got in the ring to announce that they will be entering the Royal Rumble. The trio though announced they plan to challenge the Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team titles tonight.
The Bar came out and talk about how on Raw they were one of the greatest tag team. How they defeated the absolute best on that show and have been looking forward to proving they are the best tonight against the New Day. It appeared they will accept the challenge, until they are interrupted by the Usos who challenges the Bar to a rematch for the titles. They claimed that they have been overlooked since the Bar came to SmackDown and both feel they deserve the titles more.
This soon caused the Authors of Pain with Paul Ellring to come out claiming the Bar got lucky when they won the titles. But their luck is going to run out and demand a title shot. Soon, this broke down to an eight-man Tag Team match. With the New Day teaming up with the Bar against the Authors of Pain and the Usos.
It became a back and forth match between the eight men as they fought to try getting the win. With the New Day wanting to prove they deserve a shot, the Authors of Pain wanting their titles back, and the Usos wanting to stop being overlooked. Sheamus soon got a tagged in for his team and begins running wild as the fans cheered loudly for Sheamus. It soon broke down to a brawl when Sheamus went for the Brogue Kick and the Usos begin attacking him.
The brawl began occurring around the ring as the fans cheered loudly. Kofi leaps off the top rope and lands on everyone while Paul Ellring distracted the referee. Sheamus goes to finish the match off when Jey hits him with a low-blow from behind. This allows Jimmy to get a roll-up and uses the ropes for leverage as the Usos got the win.
The Usos celebrate their win as the fans booed loudly at the brothers. The Usos have pinned one-half of the tag champions and now can claim they deserve a shot at the titles now.
The next match is a six-way match where the winner will fight Frankie Kazarian for the United States title at the Royal Rumble. It has Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Mustafa Ali, Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and Samoa Joe. It was an elimination style match, while Frankie Kazarian watched the match on from ringside.
The match has the wrestlers going back and forth with the crowd cheering them all on. All while Frankie talks about how he wouldn't mind facing any of them and wanting to prove why he deserves to be the champion. Jeff gets eliminated first after Orton hits him with the RKO. However, when he tried to eliminate Ali, Ali surprises him and gets a roll-up and eliminates Orton.
The crowd popped from this and cheered on Ali as he got some momentum in the match. After the show came back from commercial break, the four men continued going at it and came close on eliminating the other. Ali comes close to eliminating Andrade, but Joe hits him with the Uranage Slam and he eliminates him. Soon, it was down to three men as the fans cheered loudly.
Soon, Rey managed to eliminate Andrade with the 619. However, before he can recover, Joe managed to lock in the Rear-Naked Chokehold forcing him to tap out. Samoa Joe gets the win and will now face off against Frankie Kazarian at the Royal Rumble. The crowd cheered loudly for this and will see Joe fight for the United States title.
Frankie poses with his title and stands tall to show he is not going to back down.
Later on the show comes back from commercial break as the fans get ready for more on tonight's SmackDown Live.
*Painless* by Fozzy begins to play as the crowd cheered loudly. Ruby soon came out wearing her cloak and hood covering her head. She looks around as the fans cheer loudly for her as she gets on one knee as she placed her right hand on the entrance stage.
Ruby lifts her hood and howls loudly as she removes her hood before she heads towards the ring. Ruby begins shaking the hands of the fans as they are happy to see her again.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back, the wolf of the rising sun, the empress of Japan…RUBY TAKASHI!" Greg Hamilton announced as Ruby walks up the steps and goes to the top rope as she howls loudly while posing to the crowd.
Ruby hears the crowd howl with her before they cheered loudly and chanted her name. Ruby leaps into the ring as she looks around as she feels happy to be back on SmackDown. She is given a mic from the crowd as she begins preparing to speak. All while the fans chant 'Welcome Back!' repeatedly as the crowd cheers for her.
Ruby smiles softly as she lets out a small sigh before she begins. "First of all, thank you so much for the love and support. I appreciate it so much. Secondly, thanks for the support to me and my beautiful tenshi, Kairi. We appreciate it so much and we're glad you all enjoyed the pictures I posted for you all to see."
The fans cheered loudly and were happy to see the pictures Ruby posted of the wedding. Ruby wearing a suit, her wife wearing a beautiful dress, and the two kissing when the ceremony ended. Ruby didn't post though pictures of herself with her friends. Mostly because a lot of them are from different promotions and some are bad guys. So, she didn't want to have them be seen with people they are feuding with.
"Now then, I have been gone for a little too long for my taste. I apologize for it, but I had to get well-rested and be ready for this year," said Ruby as she moves her arms around showing she is feeling much better. "And now that I am well…well, I am back baby, and I am announcing right now that I will be going into the Royal Rumble."
The crowd cheered loudly and are excited to see Ruby announcing she is going to the Royal Rumble.
"2017, I made my debut at the Rumble and I won the whole thing! I then went on to win the WWE Championship, headline WrestleMania, and I walked out champion!" Ruby reminded people of what she did when she made her debut and how she became champion. "Now, I have a chance to win the Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania to regain what is rightfully mine. And that's the WWE Championship!"
Ruby knows she has busted her ass for almost a year since she lost her title and knows she deserves her title back. And she will not let anyone get in her way.
"So, to the other 29-participants in the match, let this be a warning. You get in my way and I'm going to kick your ass. You get in the way of me regaining what is mine I will break every bone in your body. And if you try to keep stop me from going to WrestleMania again to take my title back… shinu junbi o shite, meinu (get ready to die, bitch)."
The crowd cheered loudly and begin chanting Ruby's name as she stood in the middle of the ring looking very confident. "Ladies and gentlemen, at the Royal Rumble, I will do whatever it takes to win this match, again. I will do what I have to do in order to win and I don't care who I have to go through to do it. I will show the world that my reign as champion was not a one-shot time. I will take on anyone who dares to get in my way."
"Whether they are foe or friends…" Ruby stares at the camera looking as serious as she has ever been. "The wolf…the empress…I will rise again. And I will become WWE Champion…again."
Ruby drops the mic as she prepares to leave when *Killer Instinct* begins to play as Mojo Rawley came out to interrupt Ruby. Mojo appeared to have a mic on hand as he begins to speak.
"Are we supposed to be scare of you, Ruby? Really? Why should we be afraid of a loser like you?" Mojo asked as he mocks Ruby as he heads to the ring. "Why should we be afraid of someone who lost in the World Cup Tournament? Why should we be afraid of someone who spend all of 2018 losing her chance to become WWE Champion again? And why should we be afraid of someone who really left because she is scared of ending the year without succeeding anything. Well, except marrying that little dwarf wife of yours."
The crowd booed loudly at Mojo as Ruby uses her right hand to rub the side of her head. Annoyed clearly by what Mojo is doing as he continued to speak.
"Face it, Ruby. You don't have it anymore and you've become washed up. Now, do yourself a favor…" Mojo gets in the ring and soon goes up to Ruby and looks down on her. "Get the hell out of my ring before I toss your ass over myself."
Mojo tosses the mic away and yells at Ruby to get the hell out of her ring. Ruby sighed softly as she looks around at the crowd as they chant her name. Mojo tells them to shut up as he turns back towards Ruby. Ruby leans up and headbutts Mojo in the mouth knocking him back.
Ruby then hits a Superkick knocking Mojo down before she grabs his left leg then locks in the Heel Hook submission hold! Mojo begins screaming loudly as Ruby keeps the hold tightly on him. Ruby keeps the hold on Mojo until she breaks it and a referee goes into the ring to check on him. Ruby grabs the mic and stood over Mojo as the referee checks on his injured leg.
"So, Mojo. You scared yet?" Ruby then kneels down near him as she grabs him by the throat as the official tries to stop her but she pushes him away. "You should be, because this 'loser' as you call me, is going to remind everyone who the hell I am."
Ruby drops the mic on him before her theme song begins to play before she leaves the ring. Ruby heads down to the ring and goes up the entrance stage as the crowd cheered her on. Ruby poses on the ring and howls loudly as the crowd. Ruby then points to the WrestleMania sign making it clear she will win the Rumble then go on to win her title back.
Even if she has to beat the holy hell out of the roster again in order to remind them who the hell she is. And remind them all why they should be afraid of her.
SmackDown 1/8/19
The show opens up with the WWE Champion, 'the new' Daniel Bryan came out in Jacksonville, Florida where he begins insulting the fans. Even going as far as pelting them with food and drinks. As well as his opponent at the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles. AJ Styles last week defeated Mustafa Ali, Samoa Joe, Randy Orton, Andrade, and Rey Mysterio to earn his title shot. Bryan continued insulting his opponent until R-Truth came out of nowhere to attack him.
Making him pay for what he did to him on the SmackDown Christmas night show they did. So, the two had a match and Truth went after Bryan getting the crowd behind him. Truth continued beating him down in the corner before the referee pulls him away. However, Bryan comes in taking him down and hits him with the Running Knee before he gets the one…two…and three for the win.
After the match though, AJ Styles came out and attacked Bryan. Making him pay after Bryan assaulted AJ after winning his match last week. AJ continued with the beating until security came out to separate AJ from Bryan. Bryan ran away with his title, while the crowd cheers loudly for AJ Styles who vows to win back the WWE title.
Later on, the show continued with Andrade teaming up with Samoa Joe and the Usos to face off against Rey Mysterio, Mustafa Ali, and the Bar in an eight-man tag team match. It was a good back and forth match between the two teams as the Usos look to gain some momentum for their title match against the Bar at the Royal Rumble.
All while, Joe looks to gain some momentum since earning himself a United States title match against Frankie Kazarian. But first, he wanted to take out Ali who cost him his chance to fight for the WWE title at the Royal Rumble last week. Andrade, meanwhile, is trying to finish his feud with Rey and gain momentum going into the Royal Rumble. The two teams get close near-falls after near-falls as the crowd cheers on for Rey and his team.
Soon, the match falls under chaos as the two teams begin going for big dive moves. Each member even hitting their best moves as they get close to the finish. Joe managed to knock down Rey and goes to finish Ali off with the Muscle Buster. However, Ali gets behind Joe, this a Superkick, and then gets a Crucifix Pin as he gets the one…two…and three!
Ali gets the upset victory as he gets out of the ring to join his teammates. All while Joe looks on pissed off and couldn't believe that Ali defeated him. The fans cheered loudly for Ali and are happy he won the match. And this will give him a lot of momentum going into the Royal Rumble.
Backstage
Shane and Paige are in the back going over the participants that they are allowed to have in both Royal Rumble matches for the men and women. They knew they had to figure out who else can join in the Rumble. They knew the Bar are out since they have to defend their titles. They also knew whoever wins between Joe and Frankie will get the other spot.
They know for the women's side they have all the participants they want to be in it. That includes their Women's Tag Team and Intercontinental Champions. The Lucha Knights, Olivia Knight and Luna Guerrera, and Jasmine Strong. They just hope one of their own does win both Rumbles and go on to WrestleMania.
"By the way, this thing with you and Miz, what's going on there?" Paige asked bringing up what is going on with Miz.
After losing the World Cup Tournament, Miz had confronted Shane about what has been going on with how he is being treated. The two since then had some problems but Shane revealed he put Miz through hoops because he believes in him. He believes Miz can lead SmackDown and believes he is someone that can become world champion again.
However, he wants Miz to prove himself and work his way to the top. That is why he wants to give him a shot to earn it by competing tonight for a qualifying match to be in the Royal Rumble. He just needs to get through Eric Young tonight. But Paige is worried Shane might be favoring him too much and might try helping him win.
"Look, don't worry. I am just motivating him to work harder, think less about himself, and believe in what I am telling him," said Shane as he explains his plan on what he is doing. "And if he does end up winning the world title by earning it then that will be good for the show."
Paige though isn't so sure about this, but knew she has to trust her boss with this. "Just be careful. I don't want to see you get in any more matches and risk getting hurt."
"Relax, I'll be okay," said Shane as they hear the door knock. "Come in."
The door opened and they see Mojo coming into the room limping on one leg. "Mojo, can we help you?" Shane asked wondering what Mojo wanted.
"Yeah, you can help me. What's this I hear that you put Ruby Takashi in the Royal Rumble match? But you didn't add me in it? Are you kidding me?" Mojo then points to his injured leg. "Did you need what she did to me? Did you not see the cheap shot from her?"
"Yeah, we saw it," said Paige as she recalls what Ruby did to Mojo. "And to be honest? You should have seen that coming."
Mojo turns to Paige looking upset with what she said. "Excuse me? Are you saying I deserved it? Are you telling me you are letting that bitch get away with what she did to me?"
"Whoa! Watch what you say around us," said Shane who didn't appreciate the language Mojo said. "Now, look. I get it. Your mad at what happened and you feel like you deserve an opportunity to be in the Royal Rumble match. However, if you're looking for payback on Ruby, I hate to tell you this, but she isn't here."
Paige nods as she reminds Mojo what is going on. "Ruby will not be in in-ring action until the Royal Rumble. However, since you want to get into the Royal Rumble match…we have an opponent set up for you next week. Think your ankle will be fine for next week?"
Mojo turns to Shane and then Paige angry that Ruby isn't here to face him. However, to find out he has a chance to be in the Royal Rumble by winning one match?
"Deal," said Mojo as he begins taking off to get himself ready for next week.
Later
*Mucha Lucha* begins to play as the Women's Tag Team champions made their way out getting a good reaction from the crowd. Olivia Knight and Luna Guerrera came out with the fans cheering them on as both women appeared no in gear. But rather in their regular clothing, with Luna wearing her lucha mask. Both women head down to the ring as Greg Hamilton makes the introductions.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Olivia Knight and Luna Guerrera…THE LUCHA KNIGHTS!" Greg Hamilton hands the women his mic before he leaves the ring as they stood in the middle of the ring with the fans chanting 'Ole!' repeatedly.
"What's going on, SmackDown Live!" Olivia asked as the fans cheered loudly. "The Nerd Queen and the Lunar Warrior are here or rather…" Luna and Olivia show off their titles from around their waist. "Your Women's Tag Team Champions are here!"
The crowd cheered loudly as they begin chanting 'Nerd Queen' and 'Lunar Warrior' as the crowd cheers them on.
"Now, as you all know. We have been doing pretty well for ourselves ever since we came to WWE. Hell, we not only have been doing well for ourselves, but we've shown everyone why we are the absolute best in the business," said Olivia as she reminds the fans of what they have been through since they got to WWE. "We have beaten the best on Raw, SmackDown, and even NXT to prove to everyone why we are a force to be reckoned with. And in a few weeks, we will prove it again when we compete in our first ever Royal Rumble match."
Luna is given the mic as she begins speaking next in her Spanish accent. "Since we were little, we have been fans of the Royal Rumble match. We saw it as an opportunity for those who no one ever thought would headline WrestleMania and even win the world title. Winners like Rey Mysterio for example who went on for an hour and 2 minutes and became world champion at WrestleMania."
Luna remembers that day when she saw Rey win the match for Eddie Guerrero after he passed away. She also remembers being there at WrestleMania and watch her hero win the match. She even cried a little when he won it and how happy she was that he got the title. Dedicating his performance and win to Eddie Guerrero.
"The Royal Rumble match even shows women like us deserve a chance to show everyone what we can do. And how even a woman can win the whole thing. A woman by the name of Ruby Takashi," said Luna as she brings up how Ruby won the Royal Rumble match making history and how a year later, the women got their first ever Royal Rumble match. "We owe Ruby for showing the world what we are capable of and opening the door for other women to show what we can do. We will get our chance. And soon, we will fight to achieve our dreams."
Olivia is given the mic back and sighed as she rubs the back of her head. "Now, we know what some people are thinking. Oh no, does this mean me and Luna will turn on each other?" Olivia asked in a sarcastic tone. "Rest assure, Luna and I both agree no matter what happens…we'll still be a team. And whoever wins, we will wish the other luck."
Luna nods in response as the fans cheered for both women as Olivia continues. "So, to the 28 other women in the Royal Rumble match. You better get ready, because the Lucha Knights are going to kick all your asses until only one of us is left…
*Hurt* begins to play as the fans cheered loudly when they see the Women's Intercontinental Champion, Jasmine Strong making her way out. Jasmine comes out with a mic in her hand and her title around her waist as she wore her regular clothing and not in gear.
"Ladies, first of all, I appreciate the fact you two are going to be buddies going into the Royal Rumble and how you two believe one of you is going to win this match," said Jasmine as she heads towards the ring. "But in reality? Neither one of you is going to win it, because I will."
Jasmine soon got to the ring and easily climbed on the apron. "You two are looking at the most dominant woman in the WWE. I have taken out the very best in this business and I have destroyed everyone that has gotten in my way. I have yet to be pinned and yet to submit. And there has been no one who has been able to take my title from me."
Jasmine soon gets in the ring as she stands before Olivia and Luna. "I respect you two and what you both have done. But, neither one of you, much less anyone from SmackDown, Raw, and NXT can throw me over the top rope. I will win the Royal Rumble match, I will go on to WrestleMania, and I don't care who I fight because in the end…I will become…
*Black and Yellow* begins to play as the fans cheered loudly as they see Karina Khan making her way out. Karina comes out with her red scarf around her neck, her head scarf on her head, and appears in her regular clothing as she also held a mic in her hand.
"We get it, Jasmine. You are tall, you are strong, but you aren't invincible," said Karina as she heads to the ring. "You may be undefeated right now in WWE, but outside of this company? Each one of us has beaten you before," said Karina as she points to Luna, Olivia, and herself. "And yeah, in the Royal Rumble, the odds of throwing your ass over the top rope is going to be difficult. But it doesn't mean its not impossible. It doesn't matter which one of us wins it, just as long as you don't."
Karina gets in the ring as Jasmine sees Luna and Olivia surrounding her along with Karina. Jasmine tosses the mic away and lays her title in the corner before she begins preparing to fight.
*Recognition* begins to play as the crowd gave a mixed reaction. They look over to see Charlotte Flair coming out wearing her robe as she heads towards the ring.
"Ladies, ladies, ladies, you four can relax because none of you is going to win the Royal Rumble. I mean, lets be honest, none of you have a chance to win it in the first place," said Charlotte as she walks down the ring with a mic in her head. "Oh sure, you four have done a lot in the indies, but none of that matters unless you make it in WWE. And ladies, not only have I made, but I am both the damn best and the queen of this company."
Charlotte heads up the steps and stands on the apron as she sees the four women. "There is no one better than me, there is no one who has accomplished more in this business than me, and at the Royal Rumble, I am going to prove it again when I win the whole thing."
Charlotte soon enters the ring and has such a cocky smile on her face that made all four women angry. "But don't worry. I'll let you four carry my bags and polish my women's title when I take it back from Asuka…or maybe take it from Ronda Rousey."
The four women looked at each other before they just nod in agreement. Jasmine soon hits a Big Boot to Charlotte knocking her down as the crowd cheered loudly. Karina grabs her robe and tears it off of her as she picks her up before tossing her to Olivia and Luna. Luna lifts Charlotte and then hits a TKO, but in reverse.
She grabs her legs and then spins her backwards so Olivia can hit a Codebreaker! Jasmine then grabs Charlotte and then hits her with a Jackknife Powerbomb! The crowd cheered loudly as Karina grabs Charlotte then throws her over the top rope. Jasmine then grabs Luna and Olivia then hits them with a double Chokeslam!
Jasmine turns to Karina who sees what happened. Karina charges at her, but Jasmine caught her by the throat, lifts her up, but Karina quickly wraps her arms around her leg for a submission hold. Jasmine tries to toss her over, but Karina held on. Luna and Olivia soon recovered then toss Jasmine over before Karina releases the hold.
Jasmine falls to the outside as Karina joins Olivia and Luna in the ring. The crowd cheered loudly as the theme song for the Lucha Knights begins to play. The fans cheer for the three women as Jasmine looks on a little angry. All while Charlotte is being checked on by a referee.
Karina, Olivia, and Luna look at each other knowing that in a few weeks they will be enemies in the Royal Rumble. But all three agree that until then they should watch each other's back. All while Jasmine knows that in a few weeks she will get her payback. She will win the Royal Rumble and she will go on to WrestleMania.
SmackDown 1/15/18
The show opens up in Birmingham, Alabama with the Royal Rumble coming up in two weeks. The fans couldn't wait for it, especially with the matches set up for the show. One of the matches, Asuka defending her SmackDown Women's title against Becky Lynch. With Becky vowing to take back her title and ending Asuka's undefeated streak going on since 2015.
The Man, Becky came out wasting no time to run down Asuka and showing she does not take kindly to being called a paper champion. Asuka arrives later to tell her she is going to take her down. She tells her how since she came to WWE, no one and she means no one has beaten her. Much less even come close to ending her reign, not even Charlotte last year.
She tells Becky she will fall just like the rest and she will remain champion. The prepare to go at it when the IIconics came out interrupting the two women. Even insulting them both, which ended up with a match with Peyton Royce against Becky. Despite outside help from Billie, Becky managed to beat her with the Dis-arm-her for the submission win.
Asuka got in the ring and soon took down Billie Kay in a quick match. Both women soon came face to face showing they were both ready for the Royal Rumble. With only one planning to walk out with the title and the other losing. But the question is, will the Man end the undefeated streak of Asuka or will the Empress of Tomorrow be too much for Becky?
Soon, 'the new' Daniel Bryan came out feeling disrespected from the fans last week. He mocks them for their lifestyle choices and eating habits. He then goes after AJ for what he did to him last week and how he dared to insult him. However, he will make AJ pay and he will walk out still WWE Champion.
Once more like last week, AJ Styles came out to attack Bryan. But this time, Bryan got backup in the form of the Authors of Pain. They attacked AJ from behind and began beating him down, until Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian came out to make the save. Soon, a six-man tag team match is set up for tonight between AJ Styles and Bad Influence against the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan and the Authors of Pain.
The next match was supposed to be Mustafa Ali versus Samoa Joe, but Joe assaulted Ali before the match even began. He beats him down around the ring and soon took him down until he locks in the Rear-Naked Chokehold. The officials came out to stop Joe as he releases the hold. Joe then makes it clear this is just a taste of what is going to happen to the 29 other participants in the Royal Rumble and how he will beat them all to win the Royal Rumble match.
Backstage
Shane is in the back as he goes over some of the matches set up for the Royal Rumble. There's the two women's title matches, the two world title matches, the two Royal Rumble matches, and the two title matches from both brands. Dean Ambrose defending his Intercontinental title against Elias. While they have the Bar defending the SmackDown Tag Team titles against the Usos.
That just leaves the Raw Tag Team title match and the United States title matches for the pre-show. This is good since it will get the crowd warmed up before the main show begins.
"Shane, you wanted to see me?" Shane looks over to see Ruby walking up to him.
"Thanks for coming by. I just wanted to let you know that the doctor finished sending me the results and we'll be seeing you in the Royal Rumble match," said Shane as he extended his hand to her.
Ruby shook his hand and is glad she is 100% ready, but hates she has to wait till the Rumble to compete. "Well, I appreciate it. I just wish you gave me a shot against Mojo tonight."
"You'll get your chance, no worries," said Shane as he leads her to his office. "Anyways, thanks for suggesting who to fight Mojo tonight."
"Oh, trust me, she has been itching for a fight," said Ruby as the door opened and they see the Miz in the room. "Whatcha doing here, Miz?"
The Miz stood up from his seat and removes his sunglasses before he clears his throat. "I wanted to talk to Shane about what happened last week."
Shane recalls how Miz was assaulted by Sanity before his match and how it helped Eric win so he could go on to the Royal Rumble match.
"I saw what happened," said Shane who was disappointed in how things went. "I am sorry for what happened to you, but if you want a rematch I can give it to you."
"A rematch? A rematch? Why in the hell would I want a rematch? As a matter of fact, why am I not in the Royal Rumble match to begin with?" Miz then turns towards Ruby and points to her. "You added her in to the match without any problems. But all of a sudden, I'm not in it? I wasn't picked to be in the match? Are you kidding me?"
Shane tried to explain himself, but Miz interrupted him. "I have tried to be patient for the last few months with you, because I thought maybe you took what I said to heart. I thought maybe you finally believe in what I have been saying. How I am one of the best on SmackDown Live and how I helped make your show the most must-see! But for weeks you have done nothing but put me through the ringer and treat me like a clown when you know…
"Because you are a clown, Miz!" Ruby shouted interrupting Miz. "When you first stepped through the doors of WWE you were nothing more than a sad pathetic clown that didn't deserve a chance to be in WWE. Yet you didn't let that stop you and you busted your ass to try making in the company. Sure, it took time but you eventually grew and you worked hard to prove yourself that you weren't a joke…until now."
"How dare you interrupt…" Miz tried to speak up but Ruby steps forward to face him.
"Shut the hell up you freaking idiot and listen!" Ruby shouted at him and made sure he kept quiet. "The reason Shane has been putting you through hell is because he believes in you. He believes you can lead SmackDown Live. He believes you can become a big star in WWE and even one day regain the WWE title after not holding it for what, eight years now? But you first need to stop making a complete joke of yourself, stop making excuses, and listen!"
Shane begins getting Ruby back before he finally has a chance to speak. "Listen Miz, she's right. I see potential in you and I really believe you can become one of the biggest stars in WWE. You are good, but you need some more help. You need some guidance and I want to help you through this."
Shane continues as he sees he caught Miz's attention. "You are amazing on the mic, you are good in the ring, but you need something else. You need to show everyone you aren't a joke. You need to show me, Ruby, the roster, and the fans that the Miz isn't someone to be taken lightly."
Shane soon even brought up some of the greats who were seen as clowns at first, but after they showed their aggressiveness, their ferocity, and their ruthlessness they became big stars. "It worked with the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, the list goes on. I believe you can do that Miz and you can become the best in the business. But only if you listen to me and trust in me, okay?"
Miz thinks about what Shane and Ruby told him before he sees Shane extending his hand to him. Miz slowly moves his hand up and shook his hand back showing he accepts what he is offering.
Ruby sees she should probably take off to leave them alone. "All right then, gentlemen. I'll leave you to it, while I go out to watch the rest of the show," said Ruby as she takes off to enjoy her last SmackDown before she takes the next week off to get ready for the Rumble.
Later
*Killer Instinct* begins to play as Mojo Rawley begins coming out getting booed by the crowd. Mojo comes out wearing his jacket and hood covering his head with face paint on his right side of his face. Mojo comes out looking hyped and ready for this match. Looking to get in the Royal Rumble and win the whole thing.
"The following contest is a Royal Rumble qualifying match set for one-fall! Introducing first, from Alexandria, Virginia, weighing 265 pounds…MOJO RAWLEY!" Greg Hamilton announced as Mojo heads towards the ring looking focused as he waits for his opponent to come out.
The crowd look on wondering who from the Royal Rumble match is putting up their spot in the match to face off against them. Soon *Centuries* begins to play as the crowd cheered loudly, while Mojo looks on a little upset.
Sakura Muta came out wearing her black/white demon face paint and a demon mask covering her face. She is seen wearing her cloak, dark tights with a white dragon around her legs, boots, elbows, and taped on her wrists.
"Introducing his opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, she is the Dragoness of Japan…SAKURA MUTA!" Greg Hamilton announced as Sakura heads to the ring with the fans cheering her on.
Sakura goes to the top rope and removes her mask showing her demon face paint. Along with her white eye-contacts making her look demonic. Mojo though wasn't afraid of her and plans to beat her quickly before he goes on to the Royal Rumble.
Soon, Sakura enters the ring and goes to her corner as she begins removing her jacket. However, Mojo runs over and attacks Sakura. He begins attacking her in the corner as the referee tries to pull him off of her. Mojo lifts her up and hits her with the Alabama Slam!
Mojo goes for the cover getting one…but Sakura got a shoulder up. Mojo gets up and sees her going to the corner. He runs to the ropes and goes back to hit her with his Running Punch! But Sakura hits him with a Superkick knocking him down. Sakura then pulls Mojo up, gets behind him, and then lifts him up surprising the crowd with her strength.
Sakura then hits the One-Winged Angel! She then grabs his legs and then locks in the Muta Lock! Mojo yells in pain as he tries to get out of the move, but Sakura tightens her grip on his legs and pulls his head up. Mojo soon begins tapping out as Sakura gets the win!
"Here is your winner…SAKURA MUTA!" Greg Hamilton announced as the crowd cheered loudly as Sakura lets go of the hold and has her hand raised.
Sakura won her match and now is going to keep her spot in the Royal Rumble match with the men. She tells the referee to hand her a mic as he gives her one, while he gets out of the ring.
"This is only the beginning of what I have in store for the 29 other participants of the Royal Rumble," said Sakura as she managed to catch her breath and talk without breathing heavily. "In two weeks, I will compete in the Royal Rumble, I will win the whole thing, and I will go on to WrestleMania to become the second ever woman to win a world title. And Ruby…you get in my way and I will take you out as well. We may be friends, but at the Royal Rumble…you are my enemy and I will throw your ass over the top rope."
Sakura drops the mic and turns to Mojo as he slowly gets up. Sakura sprays him with the black mist causing him to yell in pain as he falls on both knees. Sakura hits the ropes and hits a Roundhouse Kick to the back of his head. Mojo goes down as Sakura poses on one-knee in front of the crowd and shows she is not going to back down. Sakura soon begins leaving the ring and head up the entrance stage.
Sakura poses on the stage and makes it clear she will win the whole damn thing in two weeks. No matter who gets in her way and no matter if they are friends or foe.
Phoenix, Arizona 1/28/19
Ruby skipped SmackDown to begin heading towards Arizona to get ready for the show. She also went to see her wife, Kairi defend her title against Bianca Belair and Shanya Baszler in a triple threat match. It was going to be a very interesting match and she knew Shanya's buddies are banned from the ring.
Good thing too, but she knew they were going to have their hands full when they fight against Io Shirai and Asuka who was making her return for one night in NXT. Ruby was asked not to be at the show since William Regal was concerned, she might cause some trouble. She felt a little insulted by it, but she knew he was right.
She knew Shanya was still pissed at her and if they fought, she would use that as an excuse on why she lost. In any case, she would use this chance to get ready and be there with her wife who she knows will be in the Royal Rumble.
She sees the door opening and sees Kairi coming into the room wearing a dress for their date tonight. Ruby sees her wife and smiles as she too got herself dressed up nicely for their date.
"You look beautiful," said Ruby as she moves over to her wife and kisses her. "Are you ready?"
Kairi nods in response smiling happily at her wife. "Kore o shite kurete arigatō. Saigo ni gaishutsu shita toki no koto wa omoidasenai (Thank you for doing this. I can't remember the last time we went out)," she replied happy that they have some time to go out.
Ruby nods in agreement. "I know, but now we have some time together and I am looking forward to spend time with you," she replied before she grabs their room key. "I also made sure to book us in a place where we won't get bothered. It will also be a place where don't worry we won't get food poisoning."
Kairi giggled softly and shook her head. "Not my fault…we got sick…I thought it was…good."
Ruby rolled her eyes knowing years ago they got sick when they ate out together with their friends. "Whatever, lets get going then and then once we finish, we can go out to spend time together."
Kairi nods as they prepare before she stops them at the door. "You ready for Sunday?" she asked referring to the Royal Rumble match.
Ruby sighed softly as she turns to her wife and nods in response. "I know it won't be easy and I know it will be more difficult than the first time I competed it. But, I won't give up so easily and I will do whatever it takes to win. Of course, I'll be careful. So, don't worry about it."
Kairi nods understanding Ruby will be careful and she does hope she will win it. "Watashi wa anata ga katsu koto o shitte ori, watashi wa anata o aishiteimasu (I know you will win and I love you."
Ruby gives her one more kiss before she giggled. "Watashi mo anata o aishite iru, watashi no ai (I love you too, my love)."
That's the end of the chapter and it looks like everyone is ready for the Royal Rumble. Sakura, Ruby, Jasmine, Olivia, Luna, and Karina re all ready for their Royal Rumble match. But, who will win it? Will I still have the same winners from last year win it for the story?
Will it go differently? Will I have all the participants in the match show up? Or will they also all be different too? And what will happen with the other matches set up for the show?
