Time Period: A Flashback
Situation: Jane has gone into premature labor with her son. She is torn between going to work or hospital.
Jane's p.o.v
Painful abdominal cramps paraylze me. I don't know if I am experiencing a miscarriage or preterm labor. I can't move therefore I stay put in the bed. I try to inhale and then exhale. "Not now love but it is what it is" I tell my four month fetus who is eager to be born or to simply slip away. I put a pillow between my legs just in case. I am bleeding or it is just my imagination. The worst has subsided but I remain torn between going to work or to the hospital.
Time Period: Another flashback
Situation: Jane's failed attempt to give birth naturally
Jane's p. o.v
"Bear down, Jane, push again" the doctor orders. "Not now love but it is what it is" I tell my unborn child inside my mind.
