A/N: Hello readers. Time for the next chapter. I have a feeling for some of you it will be a fight you enjoy.
"Are you pumped cardfighting fans?!" Sachi asked the crowd. "I know I am with the excitement of this latest fight! Who will win?! It could go either way!"
The crowd roared with excitement as the latest match of the Vanguard Invitational Tournament began reaching its climax. All eyes were on the action. With her loss to Aurora in the first match, Sachi had ended up acting as the announcer for the rest of the event. The latest fight for the tournament was a battle of the siblings. Marcus Cersy against his little sister Emma Cersy.
"My turn's over." Marcus said, bringing an end to his latest turn.
"Then it looks like I'm up." Emma said. "Stand and draw. Using Glorious Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha's skill, I send Daiball in my hand to the soul. Then I draw and call Daireson to rear guard! It gains a skill that increases the power of both it and my Vanguard by 5000 this turn!" The young girl took a look at the state of the game. 'I've got 5 damage while Marcus only has 4. I need to end it with this next turn.'
"Young Emma Cersy used up a majority of her rear guards in order to ride to grade 3 early." Sachi explained. "However, those used up resources have left her a little low on defense, which her brother has taken full advantage of. Can Emma manage to push through to victory?"
'I've never fought in a big tournament like this before. Marcus, Sarah, and Daiki were the ones that fought in the World Tournament. On top of that, I've never managed to beat Marcus even once in all my time as a cardfighter.' Emma thought to herself. 'But I fought against Purgatory, just like everyone else. I'm going to show the world just how strong I am.'
"Let's go! Stride Generation!" Emma called out. "Dimensional Robo Command Chief, Final Daimax!"

With her field empty, Emma knew there was only one way for her to win. An all out offense, regardless of what the state of her hand would be afterwards.
"Stride skill!" Emma said, moving a card from her hand to the soul. "I draw a card and then call Daiball! Daiball gains a skill to add 5000 power to itself and to the Vanguard! Next I call Dainexus and Daicutter! With Daiball's skill, both itself and my grade 3 rear guards get 5000 power too!"
"Emma Cersy calls out most of her remaining hand! It's clear she plans to end things here!" Sachi spoke.
"Activating Final Daimax's skill!" Emma declared as she flipped a card face up. "All effects are online, so my Vanguard gets 10000 power and a critical, while my front row rear guards get 5000 power and a critical!"
'In other words, any of her attacks will be enough to finish me off.' Marcus thought. 'Not bad, sis.'
"Go Daimax! Attack the Vanguard!"

"Perfect guard!" Marcus called out.
"Triple drive. First check, no trigger. Second check, critical trigger. All effects to Dainexus. Third check, heal trigger. Power to Dainexus once again, and I recover one damage."
"Oh my goodness! Emma Cersy manages to pull a double trigger!" Sachi announced. "And with one of them being a heal trigger, she falls back down to four damage! Is this the sign of a comeback?!"
'He's only got 4 cards left in his hand. I can do this.' Emma thought to herself. "Go Daiball! Attack!"

"Guard!" Marcus called out, holding up a critical trigger from his hand. "I also intercept with Mbudi!"
"Dainexus and Daicutter, finish him!"

"Guard!" Marcus said, throwing down two more triggers, as well as a grade 1. "And intercept with Doha!"
Emma widened her eyes in disbelief. 'He blocked it?!'
"And with that, Emma's turn ends and things moves over to Marcus." Sachi announced. "But with no cards in his hand, and only a single rear guard out, can he still win."

"Stand and draw." Marcus said. As he looked at the card that came to him, he showed a small smirk. Turning it around for Emma to see, he showed a copy of Dragonic Blademaster "Kouen".
'No!'

"Stride skill! I retire Daiball and draw! Then my Vanguard gains a skill!" Marcus said. "Next I call Wyvern Bomber, Doha!" With his field set up, he went on the attack. "Doha attacks the Vanguard! Doha's skill! I target Dainexus and retire all enemy rear guards in that column! Doha then gains 5000 power for each retired rear guard!"
Emma watched as Dainexus and Daicutter were burned away in a stream of fire. With both of them gone, her field was empty.
"Oh my goodness! Marcus Cersy mercilessly burns away at his sister's rear guards! It seems there's no sibling love on the battlefield!" Sachi announced.

"Dragonic Blademaster "Riden" attacks with a boost from Lava Flow Dragon!" Marcus declared. "Due to the stride skill, my Vanguard gains 5000 power since it's blazing! In addition, since the opponent has no rear guards, it gains plus one drive and plus one critical!"

"Skill activated! Add 10000 to the shield! Then, since a card was put into the damage zone this turn, add 5000 power to the Vanguard!" Emma explained. She then held up a critical trigger from her hand. "I also add on this!"
"Quadruple drive! First check, critical trigger! All effects to the Vanguard! Second check, draw trigger! Power to the Vanguard and I draw! Third check, no trigger. Final check… critical trigger! All effects to the Vanguard!"
Emma watched as Marcus's Vanguard raised its sword up in the air. It then swung it down, crashing down on Emma's Vanguard. When the debris cleared, a sixth card was present in Emma's damage zone.

"And there you have it!" Sachi declared. "The winner of this match is Marcus Cersy!"
As the crowd cheered with the cardfight over, Emma let out a sigh. She had put everything she had into that cardfight. But in the end, it seemed she still couldn't quite reach the level her brother was at.
"That was a good match, sis." Marcus told her with a smile. "I nearly thought you had me there."
Hearing her brother's praise, Emma nodded her head. "Thanks Marcus. But I'm gonna beat you next time, just watch."
"I look forward to it."
As Marcus and Emma both walked off the field with the crowd cheering them both, Sachi spoke out to them. "And now, onto the next match! Let's see who will be fighting next!" The monitor once again shuffled through numbers as everyone watched with suspense. It seemed like an eternity, but finally the next pairing was chosen. "Number 12 and Number 23! Come on down to the field! Just who will these two fighters end up being?! I know I can't wait to find out!"
Ten minutes passed on by as everyone waited for the next match to start. Many were discussing the exciting moments from the cardfights that had happened so far. This tournament truly was turning out to be a one of a kind event, the likes of which none had seen before.
Finally the time came to announce the names of the next two fighters. Sachi brought the mic to her lips. "Alright, everyone! Help me in welcoming our next two fighters!" She turned to the gate at the left. "First up, we have the bringer of justice! The hero that is always there to save the day! His true name is shrouded in mystery, but his fans know him as White Cosmos!"
Appearing from the gate, White Cosmos walked forward. He still wore the same jumpsuit he always seemed to have on. After walking into clear view of everyone, he stuck a dramatic pose.
"Followers of evil, beware! For the champion of righteousness is here to chase you away!"
Aurora let out a groan. "Star Gate Sentai never changes, do they?"
"You've met him before?" Madoka asked.
"Unfortunately." the blonde girl said. "He's a strong fighter, but I do wish that he and his team weren't so eccentric."
"We've got our own fanboy for them here too." Dan sighed.
"Woo! Go White Cosmos!" Anthony called out. "Show those evildoers the meaning of justice!"
"Is… he ok?" Madoka asked.
"Physically, yes." Dan answered. "Mentally, he hasn't ever really been together."
On the podium, Sachi turned to the right side gate next. "And his opponent! From America, we have a player that was in the Wild Card Round of the Vanguard World Tournament last summer! The hippest hoppest player you'll ever meet! Give it up for Johnny Princeton!"
Music began playing through the speakers as Johnny walked, or rather danced, out onto the field. It was clear he was moving in rhythm to the beat and nothing was going to stop him.
"Yo! Yo! Yo!" Johnny called out to the crowd. "Got the skills to chill with my fruits?! Better hope so, or my homies will give you the boot!"
"It's been awhile since we last saw him." Daiki commented as he watched with Sarah.
Sarah nodded her head, remembering her fight with Johnny in the Wild Card Round. "He was certainly unorthodox, that's for sure."
"From what I heard, he did a hell of a job fighting off Purgatory in America during the Ragnarok incident." Marcus said, walking over to his friends with Emma. "I'm curious to see how much better he's gotten."
"Ah, a hero of music I see." White Cosmos said. "Truly, you may be the grooviest hero I'll face. But it is no match for my justice!"
"You may say that you're a hero, but compared to my skills you're nothing but a zero." Johnny spoke. "Now let's dance."
"What?!" White Cosmos gasped. "It seems I was mistaken! You are no hero at all, but a foul villain!"
"If you want, you can call me a villain. But the only thing I'm guilty of is chillin'."
"Ahem!" Sachi spoke into her mic, clearly growing tired of the banter between the two fighters. "Now then, let us begin the next match! Both fighters, at the ready!"
"Stand up! Vanguard!" both Johnny and White Cosmos shouted together.

Madoka narrowed her eyes. "Quintet wall?"
"It's a type of sentinel ability different than a perfect guard." Aurora explained. "The cost for it is a counterblast rather than discarding a card. But instead of completely blocking the attack, it calls the top 5 cards of your deck to the guardian circle."
"Ok, but isn't that just a worse version of a perfect guard then if you're losing five cards?"
"Not necessarily." Dan told her. "If he's planning what I think he is, this is the perfect card to help set things up."
Five cards came from the top of Johnny's deck and appeared at the guardian circle. The combined shield was more than enough to prevent White Cosmos's attack from reaching him, even if two triggers were pulled.
"Twin drive then. First check, no trigger. Second check, critical trigger! All effects to my rear guard grade 2 Zeal!" White Cosmos declared. "Now Solar System Terror, Zeal, attack!"

"You're attacks sure are savage. Guess I'm gonna have to accept this damage. No guard." Johnny said, watching two cards fall into his damage zone.

"My Vanguard's not gonna be chillin' alone though. He ain't anything without his homie!" Johnny grinned. "Seek mate!"
Madoka watched as four cards went from the drop zone into Johnny's deck. "What's happening?"
"By sending four cards from the drop zone to the deck, you can perform legion with a specified unit." Aurora explained.
"So then… the reason for that Quintet Wall last turn was to-"
"Exactly." Aurora nodded. "It was to set up for this."
Everyone watched as a card flew out from Johnny's deck into his hand. "With Hey Yo Pineapple, it's legion time baby!"
"Amazing! We saw Johnny Princeton use this same move back at the World Tournament!" Sachi announced. "Will White Cosmos be able to handle this terrifying combo?!"
"Activating Yeah What Pineapple's legion skill! Counterblast! I look at the top 5 cards of my deck and call up to two Dryads among them!" Johnny explained. "Aw yeah baby! That's what I like to see! I call Hey Yo Pineapple and Mean Green Tangerine! Then I call another Hey Yo Pineapple from my hand, as well as Maiden of Sweet Berry! Next, Yeah What Pineapple's other skills! It gains 1000 power for each Hey Yo Pineapple on my field, plus all my rear guard homies gain 5000 power and Resist since I've got at least four rear guards!"
"Foul villain. To think a garden could produce food so vile."
"Hey, me and my homies just do what we feel like, yo. And speaking of which, I'm gonna have Sweet Berry boost an attack from my Hey Yo Pineapple! With Hey Yo's skill, it gains 3000 power for this battle!"

"Now gather forces of evil, in the name of righteous justice! Planetary Terror, Zeal! Assault Monster, Gunrock!" White Cosmos said as he called the two cards from his hand. "Gunrock attacks! Its skill adds 3000 power!"

"My rear guards have Resist, yo. So they ain't going nowhere."
"Perhaps, but I still add another card to my hand."

"Stand and draw." Johnny said. "Here we go everybody! Get ready for this sweet sensation! That's right, it's time for Stride Generation!"
"Oh my goodness!" Sachi exclaimed. "Has Johnny Princeton given up on his usual strategy of legion?! What G Unit is he planning on bringing out?!"
"Watch and see, yo!" Johnny grinned. "Feel the beat with my Grand Fruit King, What's Up Pineapple!"

Appearing on the field was a massive humanoid Pineapple, nearly the size of Zeal itself. An assortment of fruits was on a leafy hat on its head. The eyes of the unit were covered by a pair of black shades.
"Get ready for this, yo! I activate Maiden of Sweet Berry's skill! I return her to the deck and call out another Hey Yo Pineapple!" Johnny explained. "Next, I use Ringer Paprika's skill to send it to the soul and give the Hey Yo Pineapple I just called the ability to Boost! After that, I activate What's Up Pineapple's skill! Since I have 2 heart cards, I counterblast and target my rear guard Mean Green Tangerine! I can then look through my deck and drop zone for up to three copies of it to call! But I'm just gonna go ahead and call one!"
Sarah brough her hand to her chin. "Hmm…"
"What's wrong Sarah?" Marcus asked.
"I don't get it. Sure striding gives his Vanguard more power and the ability to triple drive, but losing out on all that power from Yeah what Pineapple's skills makes his rear guards significantly weaker. It's not a good enough trade off."
"There's got to be more to that G Unit." Daiki said. "And I have a feeling we're about to find out."
"I'm using What's Up Pineapple's continuous skill! Generation Break 3!" Johnny declared. "All my rear guard Dryads gain power equal to the total original power of my heart cards!"
"Incredible!" Sachi called out. "With Yeah What Pineapple and Hey Yo Pineapple together, Johnny Princeton powers up all his rear guards by a whopping 19000!"
White Cosmos gasped at this. "An extra 19000 power to all of his rear guards?! Truly these villainous fruits are a force to be reckoned with!"
"Try not to cry as me and my homies win and say bye bye!" Johnny smirked. "First up is a rocking double attack from my two Hey Yo Pineapples!"

"I shall let this attack through. No guard." White Cosmos said. "Damage check… no trigger. Has even Lady Luck given up on righteousness?"

"Even if the whole world stands against me, as long as I have justice on my side I shall not falter!" White Cosmos spoke. "Generation guard! Gallant Incarnation, G-O-Five!"

"Soul blast! I add 10000 to the shield! Then, since I've taken a damage this turn, add another 5000!" White Cosmos explained. "But I am not done! I also guard with Dimensional Robo Daibattles and Daidraft, as well as Evolution Beast, Darwain and Gunrock from my hand! Finally, with Planetary Terror, Zeal's skill! I counterblast and send it to the soul to lower the attacking unit's power by 5000!"
"Amazing! Using up most of his hand, White cosmos manages to hang on!" Sachi announced.
Johnny frowned slightly at having his victory halted. "Hey man, that's not cool. If this keeps up, people are gonna think I'm the fool."
'I'm pretty sure everyone in this stadium thinks you're both fools.' Aurora thought silently.

"Stand and draw." White Cosmos said. "Now then, it is time for justice's big moment! Stride Generation! Beast of Apocalypse, Zeal!"

"Activating Zeal's skill! Just like last turn, your Vanguard's power will be reduced to zero! And my Vanguard gains its original 11000 power!" White Cosmos said. "I then call Cosmic Hero Grandrope and Evolution Monster Darwain!"
"White Cosmos fills up his board with the last remaining cards in his hand! Can he end it here?!" Sachi spoke.
"Grandrope boosts! Go Solar System Terror!" White Cosmos declared.

"Guard, yo!" Johnny said, holding up a critical trigger and a stand trigger from his hand.
"Boosted by Beginning of Terror, Beast of Apocalypse attacks!"

"Lemone, it's time for another Quintet Wall!" Johnny said, throwing down the sentinel. Five units from the top of his deck appeared, totalling 30000 shield.
Before his opponent could guard with anything else, White Cosmos interrupted him. "Skill of my Vanguard! Generation Break 3! I counterblast and lower the shield of the Chestnut Bullet you placed with the Quintet Wall to zero!"
"Say what?!" Johnny grit his teeth, being backed even more into a corner. "Fine then! I'll add on Chestnut Bullet and San San Mango from my hand! Then I intercept with my two front row Hey Yo Pineapples!"
"Triple drive." White Cosmos said. "First check, critical trigger! All effects to the Vanguard! Second check, no trigger. Third check… stand trigger!"
"No way, yo?! That's gotta be a mistake!" Johnny gasped. With the added power of the stand trigger, Zeal was now powerful enough to break through his guard. The beast fired a beam of energy that blasted down on Johnny and his Vanguard, dealing the final two damage needed to win.

"And that's all she wrote, folks! The winner of this exciting and unique battle is White Cosmos!" Sachi declared.
The crowd roared with applause with the cardfight at an end. Johnny let out a sigh. "Aw man. Guess I won't be stylin' up this tournament anymore."
"Halt, young Johnny!" White Cosmos called out. "The way you battled… it was truly marvelous! Perhaps one day you will consider deviating from the path of evil and joining the side of good!"
Johnny showed a small grin. "Maybe one day old dude. Laters."
"O-Old dude?!" White Cosmos exclaimed. "I'll have you know I am only 28!"
"What surprising news!" Sachi said. "Everyone we now have confirmation of White Cosmos's age! An astonishing 28 years old!"
Isabelle narrowed her eyes from the crowd. "That guy's really weird for a grown up."
"Isn't he really cool though?" Sophia grinned to her sister. "He fights for justice and peace!"
Isabelle rolled her eyes. "If you say so."
Anthony: Woo! White Cosmos! Victory goes to justice!
Elizabeth: What the heck is up with him?
Aurora: Oh don't mind him. He's always like this when he sees Star Gate Sentai.
