Lynn Sr, and Rita dropped the whole kids off to Inside Africa, including Artie himself, and the parents told the kids and Luke's cousin to have fun and stay safe, along with 'don't talk to strangers', and other other things parents would say to kids. They entered inside and the employees at the entrance check in recognized Lincoln and Artie, and they let them in with a fifty-percent discount, considering the fact that Lincoln was like a VIP person in this amazing place.
Right as soon as they set foot inside, the loud sisters took off to do some fun activities on their own, and Artie was with Lincoln, being close to him, and warming up to him the most. "Let's look at the petting zoo, I wanna go there first." Artie said.
"Got it. Let's go." Both of them went over to the petting zoo enclosure, and it was really large. Some kids were in there feeding pigs, sheep, llamas, and other livestock, along with a couple of baby deer and a couple of parrots, who were being handled by a few employees who wanted to give the kids a helping hand in feeding the parrots in case the children get bitten by the parrots tough, sharp beaks, and it wouldn't have been pretty if that happened at all.
Artie smiled, and he was given free admission to set foot inside the enclosure. Lincoln went in, but he was over the age of eight, and he had to pay five dollars to go in there to be with Artie to make sure he would be okay. "Wow. Look at that turkey." Artie said. The gigantic, plump bird was slowly walking and it let out a loud gobble every once in a while. "It's a big bird."
Lincoln helped him out in trying to feed some of the livestock, and started with the chickens, since they were the easiest to feed. All they mostly had to do was throw some feed at the ground and the chickens would just go nutty over it, and peck the soil like it was a gigantic piece of bread.
So far, the young boy was doing good, and he wasn't feeling scared or skittish at the aniamsm approaching him. Whenever they did get too close for his comfort, Lincoln would gently push them aside, or have an employee of this facility do something about those animals if they frightened poor Artie.
"You doing okay?" Lincoln asked him.
"Uh-huh. I'm okay, Lincoln." young Artie felt something breathing against his right cheek, and he bumped to see a cow's nose. It was one of the main attractions of this park, Spook, the black and white bull with two big horns on his head.
"Don't worry, that's just Spook, he's a very nice bull." Lincoln reassured him. "Isn't that right, Spook?"
he was gently rubbing the cow's nose, which he liked a lot, and the bull began to gently nuzzle Linvoln's head with the side of his face like a cat showing affection.
Spook did look like a very friendly bull, despite the gleaming gold ring in his nose. Lincoln even fed him some carrots and he felt the bull's tongue rub around his hands, feeling a little sticky.
Wanting to be a little more brave, Artie decided to try and feed this big bull as well, and pulled out the carrots and apples he had.
He felt the tongue move around his hands too, but it was ticklish, and Artie had no problem with it at all. Spook did look intimidating by his appearance but he was a gentle giant that a person would love to place in a barn full of other cows.
Lincoln smiled knowing that Artie was being a little more brave, and still have him a hand.
A couple of sheep took notice and wanted some treats as well. Bleating, Lincoln and Artie did just that, give them some food so they wouldn't feel left out.
Artie loved the feeling of a sheep's wool when it wasn't dirty or have anything stuck to it, and he was patting one sheep's head.
Not long after, a couple of large pigs walked up to them, and grunted for treats. It was quite a feeding frenzy for a petting zoo, but it was fun either way. Once in a while, a baby deer would walk up to Artie and try and chew on his shirt, which made him nervous again, but Lincoln would shoo him away, either that or give him some treats so they wouldn't chew on the shirt.
It made the boy not so scared anymore, but he still kept close to Lincoln just in case, and these animals didn't hurt or bite Artie, which was good, and they both began holding dome guinea pigs in a smaller pen within this attraction.
These affectionate rodents had very soft and downy fur, and they made the most adorable squeaking sounds, along with purrs whenever Artie and Lincoln petted them.
Yes, both boys were having a blast with their time together in the petting zoo. Lincoln hoped that it will stay that way, he would hate to see Artie so scared, and crying again. This boy's crying would be enough to break even the strongest wrestler's heart.
All Lincoln had to do was keep an eye on him, since Artie was the closest to him. Deep down, this was reminding him about how Luke and he first met, and how the Rogue Lion took Lincoln under his wing. Maybe Lincoln could take Artie under his wing. Of course, the boy lived in Massachusetts, and it wouldn't fully work if he loves that far away from Michigan.
Still, the least Lincoln could do was give him the best time he can in Royal Woods, along with his sisters and parents until Luke picks him up and take him back with his parents later on today. The least Lincoln could do was make the best of this.
Right after the boys were done with the petting zoo, they looked around to see what they should do next in this amazing safari park. While walking in the Asian district, Lincoln and Artie noticed Luke, along with his dad and his friends trying to round up what appears to he a cassowary, the mody dangerous type of bird in the world.
Curious, both of them looked to see what they were up to with this bird, and it seemed to be somewhat putting up a fight with the people inside the fence. "Ah, Artie, Lincoln. There you kids are." Mike said.
"Hi, Uncle Mike." Artie said.
The cassowary was feeling more agitated and tried kicking some of the zookeepers surrounding it with its sharp talons. "What's going on in here?" Lincoln asked
"Scarface here has a fatty lump on his neck, and we're trying to get him to the vet. He's quite a fighter." Luke explained. he tried getting close to him, and gently wrapped a rope around Scarface. Luckily, he had a thing with animals and the cassowary didn't claw or fight him. At last, they had him and Mike and a couple of other employees stayed behind to greet the kids.
"How are you doing today, Artie?" asked Lekan.
"Just fine. Thank you." the little boy replied flatly. "Lincoln's helping me get by here."
"Good. I really thank you for keeping an eye on him, Lincoln." Luke said to his little brother with gratitude. "Are you having fun together?"
"We are. We like video games, and pizza rolls."
"Who doesn't like pizza rolls?" Brad asked.
"Pizza haters." Cheng joked.
"Since you're here, want to have a good time here, Artie?" the Rogur Lion asked his cousin.
"Yeah. This place is awesome." Artie replied.
"Glad to hear." said Grizzly. "You hungry?"
"No. I had pizza rolls before we came here." Lincoln said. "So we're good."
"Well, I would like some ice cream." said the younger boy. "Is there any ice cream here?"
"Yep. We do, Artie." said Luke. "We also have snow cones too if you want one."
"Nah, I just want ice cream." Artie stated. They all did just that, they went to the fokd courts and Luke, being given special privileges here since he was the son of the owner, bought the kids some ice cream cones, both classic vanilla.
"So Lincoln, are you guys doing okay?" said Luke
"Yep. We're doing good."
"Perfect. I knew you guys would hit it off together."
"We are. We like the same video games, we like monster trucks, comic books, Ace Savvy, other things."
"Cool. Well, you told me that Luan accidentally scared him by dressing like a clown?"
Artie's face frowned, and he said: "yeah, but we're good now. I'm not mad at her."
"Well, it's kinda my fault. I should have been specific with you guys. I should have told you that he hates clowns more than anything. Still, it's over now, and no hard feelings at all. At least she didn't prank you."
"No. Luan is only evil like that on April Fool's day. When that day comes, you need to run and hide from Luan."
"Why does she do evil pranks?" Artie asked.
"No one knows." Lincoln simply said. "But, don't worry about it. She would never prank you. You live in Boston, and that's far away from Royal Woods. You'll be completely safe there. Besides, she only just pranks us in the family."
"Did I tell you the kind of prank you should do with her if she does prank you?" Luke asked.
"I... think so. But, I can't remember for sure."
"Well, I'll tell you again just in case." the Rogue Lion zoomed his face closer to Lincoln's right ears and began whispering some words that made Lincoln have a sly look, indicating that it would actually work and make Luan scared witless enough to be broken, and never pull evil, mean pranks on April fools day again.
"ooh. I like the sound of that." said Lincoln. "I'll try to remember that one when April fools day comes again. Luan would be scared silly. It will make her never do another prank on April Fools day again. I mean... I hope it will."
"I'm betting it will." said Chris. "My little brother did that to me once when we were youngins, probsgot around your age, Lincoln. He never pulled another prank again after I did it."
'Then, I guess I will call it the coup de grace if she tries to prank me."
"Oh! Lincoln, that reminds me, I have good news: Ronnie Anne and her family gave us enough money to pay for our trip to Tanzania in the next few months."
Lincoln made a gasp with joy. "Cool!"
"Although they say I have to pay them back, but it's okay, because I have my ways of making money."
"Okay. I can't wait for Tanzania."
"You and me both, Lincoln." the Rogue Lion agreed with him. "I promise you will love it over there. Of course, there will probably be a few stops in different planes before we actually get to Tanzania
"That's okay. All we can do is pack movies and shows on our devices."
"Well, maybe Luna can bring in some sweet tunes to put most people to sleep, or have Luan do some magic tricks for everyone to keep them from getting bored."
"Maybe. That could help."
"And don't worry about security, just do as they say in the airport, and you'll be fine. As long as you don't have any weapons or something explosive on you."
"Got it. And about Luan, I think it would he the ultimate prank on her."
"Totally. Hook, line, and sinker." Luke agreed with him.
