This was certainly not so easy for Lincoln, who was still trying to care for his sick family wjime he remains unaffected by the cold everyone was having right now. Every one oe his sisters were becoming a little too demanding for his assistance and their needs for whatever they wanted or needed from him, and the parents... weren't so perfect either.
Still, Lincoln knew he had to do this for them, for it was the least he could do if everyone was sick like this, and he brought in some Chinese food from delivery for them to eat.
As soon as he got the platter on the coffee table, the sick family members began munching and eating it like a bunch of old spot pigs eating from a farm trough. It disgusted Lincoln a little, but at least everyone had their mouths closed while eating (except for Lana, which everyone is used to.)
"I hope you guys are happy." Lincoln said.
"Yummy!" Lynn said. "These veggie spring rolls are juicy! Thanks, Linc."
"Yeah, this is yummy." Lola added. "Achoo!"
"Good thing we can still taste things." said Lana.
"Yeah, even though one flu over the other." Luan joked again. Almost everyone groaned, but the father was laughing of course.
"Now, I need to go water the plants outside. I'll be out there if you need anything from me." Lincoln took off his hazmat suit and pulled out the hose so he can water all the flowers around the house, starting with up front.
It was barely four minutes and he was only doing the third plant when Lola called out: "LINCOLN!" it made him jump and accidentally spray water up his nose. "Can you scratch my head, please?"
"Oookay, just wait a couple of minutes."
"Fine, but make it snappy!" then Lola went back in the house with a huff.
He was done and went back inside with the hazmat suit back on, and he was gently scratching Lola's scalp. "I hope this is good."
"A little harder, please?"
Lincoln looked annoyed, but he managed to make it a little more rough on her with the scratching.
"Oh yeah. That hits the spot." Lola sighed in bliss. "Ooh, keep scratching, Lincy."
Inside, Lincoln thought it was a little fun when he was sick and his family was taking care of him with the rhinovirus, but, now that it's the other way around, it wasn't that fun at all.
"Okay, you can-" she was coughing again, with a little bit of phlegm. "Sorry, you can stop now." and she sneezed again.
"Alright. I'm going to pick up Charles' poop now." Lincoln said. Before he walked out, lori stopped him.
"Lincoln?" she said. Right after she let out a sneeze, she asked him: "can you please... massage my feet?"
"What?!" Lincoln exclaimed with disgust.
"Please? They haven't been massaged in a long time."
"Okay. Sure." Lincoln sang.
"Oh, and can you please massage my feet?" Leni added. "They are starting to ache a little."
Lincoln wanted to growl a little, but he decided not to sound rude and he replied: "okay, Leni." and he went outside to pick up Charles' droppings. It was a rather short chore for him, for Charles wasn't that big a dog, and Lincoln was even greeted by Charles, who was wagging his tail, obviously happy to see him. "Aww, hey Charles."
the black and white dog made a few barks telling him hello.
"You want a treat?" Lincoln asked, kneeling down. "Okay, sure." Charles barked with excitement and made a small howl after Lincoln was done picking up his excrement. Inside, he went in the kitchen, and pulled out a box of dog bones with beef flavor in the taste.
It was just then Cliff the cat noticed it and ran up to Lincoln, meowing for a treat. Walt the Canary walked in, and so did Geo the hamster, and all four pets wanted a taste of their treats as well, given how pets can be spoiled at times.
"Okay, okay, you guys can have treats too." Lincoln smirked, and then he gave all the pets what they wanted, feeding them one of different treats.
All the pets were happy and he heard Lori call out: "Lincoln! Where are you?"
"I'm coming, Lori." he walked back to the living room and began to rub Lori's warm feet, much to his dismay and annoyance. Alas, they were sick and he had to take care of them, becaue what wild it be like if no one else was there to take care of them?
While massaging her feet, Lori sighed in relaxation and it was clear that she was enjoying this sensation. "Oh yeah, that literally feels-" she was coughing again, "-nice."
It went on for about five minutes and Lincoln moved on to Leni.
"Thanks, Lincoln." Lori gratefully told him.
"Wow, you're right, Lori, his hands do feel nice. "You guys should feel it. He totes has hands of a spa god."
Lincoln gasped like he was about to have a panic attack. "Uh, no no, no, no, I wouldn't say-" but it was too late, everyone else wanted a massage from him too, including the parents, much to Lincoln's horror.
Luna was next and she was enjoying it. "Oooh yeah. Feels like a purple haze had arrived to treat my feet." Luna said. "Thanks, dude."
The poor boy was trying so hard to smile and pretend like he wasn't bothered by it. Inside of him, he thought: "this cannot he happening to me. Someone please, kill me now." still, he just rubbed the sisters feet and they all enjoyed this kind of sensation
"How come you never thought of being a masseuse as a career?" said Lynn Sr
"Yeah, you know how to relax another person's feet." Rita added.
"I don't know about that, you guys." Lincoln modestly. "I prefer like someone like Steve Irwin when I grow up." as soon as he was done massaging everyone's feet, he was so glad it was over. After that was all done, he was more than glad to have one of the egg rolls and spring rolls from the Chinese delivery, because he was getting hungry, and he probably needed a break from helping out the entire family.
This turned out harder than he thought it would be, but he was still trying to pull through, and try to be more patient with everyone when it comes to taking care of a sick family. Another thing was that he hoped that Luke would come around and try to help him out some more. He probably needs it right now. Overtime, the other family members decided to take a little rest and take a nap in their beds for a short while.
Deep down, Lincoln knew that it was the perfect opportunity to relax for the time being while he could. Once everyone wakes up, it will be demanding for him again. He flipped the channel to Dream Boat and he was obviously enjoying this show. After about an hour, Luke came to the house and brought some brownies for the whole family again.
"Where is everyone?" asked the Rogue Lion
"They're taking a nap."
"Oh. I see. I just wanted to bring some more brownies." he sniffed his nose and recognized it. "Ooh, do I smell Chinese?"
"Yeah, they bought some Chinese food for us all since dad is too sick to cook a meal for us.:
"That makes sense. But, come on, they gotta have enough strength in themselves to walk around and stuff."
"Yeah, they were just watching some TV out here. But I can't take any more foot massages for my own sisters. Lynn has the worst feet in this family! So much foot calluses."
"Huh. Probably because of her being so energetic and running around all the time. One day or another, she's gonna get athlete's foot." the Rogue Lion realized his joke and he slapped his left knees while laughing at himself. "Get it? Because Lynn is an athlete?"
Lincoln made a small chuckle and he replied: "that's a good one."
"And about Bangui, we can just go from here to France, to Cameroon, and we can cross from the border to the Central African Republic. And don't worry, all you have to do it keep your wits about. And I wonder let any crazy gunman try and kill you. You can count on me to protect you, and everyone else."
"Good. But I don't know how much more I can keep this up. I know I'm supposed to take care of my sick family, but they are killing me with these favors. If I have to massage any more feet, I am going to scream. I feel like i'm... i'm... gah, I can't remember her name."
"Cinderella?"
"Yeah! That's it."
"Oh come on, Linc." Luke scoffed. "That is very stupid. Believe me, if you were living like Cinderella, you would be malnourished, dehydrated, and you would have bad bruises on your face. Believe me, your family does love and care about you."
"Yeah." Lincoln sighed. "I know. I know my sisters are always there when I need them. It's just that... I like to have my alone time once in a while."
"Believe me, we all feel like that. Just hang in there. And at least they're napping for the time being."
"Good point."
"I'm going to bring my buddies to girlfriend here do they can help you a little bit with your sick family."
"Really? Thanks Luke. I can use the help I can get. And I hope they have gas masks or something to keep them from getting sick."
"Don't worry. They do. And Alex says she has a medical mask to cover her face."
"Alright. For now, I need to feed Macavity. That cat is quite a bundle of joy."
Lincoln nodded his head and he said: "okay. That's fine. I guess I'll just care for my sick sisters and parents again." he gulped at the pressure.
"And don't worry, I know you're strong. You can be as strong as a lion cub." Luke even gave him a pat on the shoulder. "You are a man with a plan."
Lincoln smiled. "Yeah, I guess I am."
Luke then left and Lincoln was on his own again. About one hour passed and the family was awake again, and the sisters were having turns taking showers. The parents were enjoying some more TV and were given some medicine from Lincoln to help them recover faster overtime.
"Thanks for the medicine, sweetie." Rita said kindly before sneezing a couple of times. "Gah, I feel awful."
"Me too." Lynn Sr added before coughing. "Good thing we have Lincoln around."
"Well, I'm glad to help you all out." Lincoln modestly stated. He went upstairs and decided to play on his laptop. It was barely three minutes he was World of Warlords when Lana called out: "Lincoln!"
"Uh-oh."
"Yeah Lana?"
"Can you feed Hops for me? I don't wanna get him sick too."
"I'll get the crickets." Lincoln sighed. The frog was obviously happy to have gotten the frifketd and some insects to eat.
"Thanks Linc- achoo!" Lana said.
"No problem." Going back in his room, he was interrupted by Lori calling his name. "Lincoln? Can you help me please?"
"Coming." he immediately came into her room and asked: "what's going on?"
"Can you help talk to Bobby for me? I don't want him to see me that I look like a sick zombie."
Groaning, Lincoln picked up the phone and talked with Lori's boyfriend. He was telling him that Lori was unable to show her face to Bobby, because she is afraid he would throw up.
Bobby laughed. "Come on, little Loud. I love Lori. There is nothing you can do or say thsy will make me yell."
"Bobby, I don't think that's such a- achoo! Good idea."
"Babe, you're being silly. Come on Lori."
"Well... okay." Lori showed Bobby her sick face, and her poor boyfriend gasped and fainted as if he saw the most horrific thing in his life.
"Ohhhhh... uh... I need to go." Lincoln shied away so he would deal with an angry older sister.
Everything was still going alright, and he was about to go play his game again when Lily called out: "Winky!"
"I'm here, Lily. What is it? You need a diaper change?"
The baby nodded her head.
"No problem. Good thing I'm wearing a hazmat suit right now." It took a few minutes to change Lily's diaper, and it was one of the usual things he would do with Lily if necessary. "There. Now to go back to my room, and-"
"Lincoln!" Luna called out.
Poor Lincoln rolled his eyes and facepalmed himself in irritation. "Oh come on!" Alas, he reluctantly went over to Luna and Luan's room.
"Yes, Luna?" He asked her in a calm voice.
"Bro, can ya clean my ax, please? I don't wanna get any germs on guitar. That baby is my Pride and joy!"
"Okay."
Lincoln got himself a disinfectant towel and clean around Luna's guitar with it. He didn't know why Luna would want this, but he was still trying to he strong and brave. It didn't stop there, for his sisters and parents were asking a few more favors from him.
Ultimately, Lincoln's mind slowly snapped and he let out a loud yell. "Man! WHY CAN'T I GET A MOMENT'S PEACE AROUND HERE?! WHY CAN'T I HAVE A LITTLE ME TIME!?"
Lincoln's sisters and parents looked a little surprised at his reaction. "You okay, Lincoln?" Lucy asked him.
"No! I am not okay! This is just too much for me! You guys ask too many favors from me. Can't you all just try and still be able to do things when you're sick?" and he kare a small growl and gritted his teeth. "Gah! This is just too much for me! I need a break!" then he ran up to his room and slammed the door so he can scream into his pillow.
Everyone in the family sounded quite surprised to see such a reaction, and a little guilty as well.
