"Who are you?!" Mirii frowned, as she turned herself around, watching the two shadows. "Demon Squids?!"
The shadows were now surrounding the questioning girl... one of them floated even closer, as part of its darkness detached from itself, landing on Mirii's head.
"... what is that thing doing?!" Mirii waved her hands on it. "Get it off me!" She turned behind, as her feet took a few steps backwards.
The other shadow moved towards the detaching one, pushing it backwards. Mirii was clenching her fists, as her eyes were focused on the two mysterious figures. Her head lowered, tracking down the missing sunglasses.
"... it's my chance!" She bended down on her knees and caught the wanted item.
She wore them quickly, raising her knees and staring back at the two shadows at the same time.
"I don't even have a weapon to fight them..." Her right arm swung towards the elevator door, as her hand palm touched it. "The nerves...!"
The shadows were now moving towards the girl...
"You incompetents!" Mirii's right forefinger pointed at the two shadows. "Those sunglasses grant me the ability to attack you with my bare hands, feet and limbs!"
The shadows were still moving... once they were in front of her, they stopped.
"... you dare ignoring the words of perfection?!" Mirii bended her knees, pressing against the floor with her right foot's toes. "Then, prepare to receive the worst punishment you have ever seen!"
The girl swung her right leg, as it went right through the two shadows: their lower part flew off.
"Hmpf!" Mirii lowered her eyebrows even more, as she retreated her leg back on its original position. "Do you still intend challenging perfection?!"
The thrown parts flew back, uniting themselves below their respective upper sides.
"... I will keep on attacking you, until you will be reduced into meaningless bacteria!" Mirii bended her knees again.
One of the shadows pushed the other: suddenly the shadow shaped itself as a long, horizontal line. Mirii sealed her mouth, as she took one more step backwards and hit the elevator door with her back.
The line began waving... gradually increasing the sizes of its waves. All the sudden, it shaped itself into an empty circle!
"... what in the world...?!" Her sunglasses slid a bit, revealing her shrunk irises. "What kind of shadow am I looking at?!"
The shadow shaped an oval... then, an apple! It shook itself, as it returned back to its regular shape...
"Wh-why it shaped itself as an apple...?!" Mirii pushed her sunglasses back up. "What it was trying to do…? Entertain me?! …"
The shadow resumed its shapeshifting activities: it changed from a car to a tree, from a bird to a table...
"Are you trying to entertain me with your useless illusions?!" Mirii rose her shoulders, stretched her arms on the sides and clenched her fists. "You big wastes of time! I'm done with you!"
The girl turned behind, as her head noticed the elevator button already. Her hand was moving towards it... until a shadow of an Inkling girl appeared on her sight.
Mirii gasped, as she jumped backwards and stared at the odd creation.
"What is that?!" Her mouth opened widely. "... it looks familiar..."
The Inkling girl waved her hand at Mirii.
"... what tricks are they up to...?" Her head rose. "Those faceless beings shouldn't even gain an inch of trust from geniuses like me..."
Mirii resumed her walk, but a shadow of an Inkling boy flew on her way!
"I'm tired of your antics!" She swung her right leg, hitting the shadow and sending the middle part off the rest of the shadowy body. "Flee from my presence!"
The other shadow approached, standing next to the hit one.
"Shoo back in wasteland!" Mirii swung her leg again, hitting the other shadow right on its upper side. "Do you understand?! I request respects from the likes of"
Suddenly, the recently hit shadow shaped itself into something unidentified... but as soon as the missing part joined as a small line, it now formed a sign!
"... g...?" Mirii bended her knees.
The shadow changed into another sign.
"... r..." Her head tilted on her right side.
The shadow kept changing and changing.
"... e... ... t... ... a... ..." Mirii's right hand took her right tentacle, petting it.
Finally, the shadow turned back into its regular form.
"... g, r, e-EH?!" Mirii's jaw dropped. "Greta?! What?!"
The other shadow changed into another sign.
"B..." Mirii took off her sunglasses, while her eyes blinked twice.
It shaped again in within a second.
"… it can't be…" She cleared her voice with her mouth closed. "… a…"
The shadow quickly performed a different sign, followed by the other shadow's sign transformation. The girl stared at the two in within a second.
"… r and s… … it can't be…" Her eyes went wide. "Bars?!" Her mouth sealed. "How did they know about those names?!"
The two shadows turned each into a pair of hands who were clapping, albeit no sound came from their actions.
"Why are you mentioning me those names?!" Mirii thrusted her right arm, as a vein popped out from her forehead. "What do you know about them?! Did you captured them?!"
The left shadow was becoming a contorted mess of darkness, as-
"You better explain yourselves..." Mirii growled. "Because if you were trying to menace me, you will soon regret your foolish attempt..."
The right shadow shaped a sign in a quick second!
"... they do have something else to say, after all." Mirii rose her head and folded her arms. "... w..."
The whole floor was covered in a blackish substance, including the crates! Bubbles were born from it, growing and popping out all the sudden.
Kelly was leaning against the wall with her bare hands and feet, watching the madness happening before her expanded eyes. Her nose was tilting itself upwards too.
"... Master Hun... where are you?!" Her head turned around, seeing the vast sea of blackish liquid.
