"Mirii!"
The called girl turned over her right side, noticing a group of Inklings walking towards them, followed by a familiar-looking horseshoe crab...
"Ana!" Mirii smiled widely, looking at the leading girl wearing a pair of huge headphones and a short-sleeved white shirt, together with a pair of short, black leggings and pink, sporty shoes.
"Mirii!" The girl giggled, closing her eyes. "I couldn't wait any longer to finally see you again...!"
"How come she recognized you and not me?!" Nick slid over Ana's right side, as a stream of tears was leaving his eyes and his trembling hands had their palms pointing the ceiling. "A-am I not unique enough or something?!"
"What that has to do with anything?!" With her eyes reopened, Ana boiled in rage as she stared back at him.
"It's an emergency...! I-I want to be remembered...!" Nick's eyes grew a bit, before smiling and hitting his right hand palm with his left side. "Ah-ha! I got it!"
Nick immediately twisted himself towards Mirii... as his hands grabbed his own pants and pushed them down.
...
"WH-WHAAATT?!" Mirii's face went fully red, as her mouth flattened, her irises shrunk and ink was pouring out of her nostrils.
"NOW you should remember me good!" Nick grinned widely, while blushing and squeezing his eyes.
SLAAAPP!
"DO YOU EVER USE YOUR BRAIN?!" Ana's right hand was pushing the boy, while her eyes were completely white. "PUT YOUR DARN PANTS ON!"
"Is it really that terrible...?" Nick's mouth was slightly moving, as his eyes lost his pupils.
"How do you not even comprehend something this easy to know...?!" Ana sighed, as her head lowered and shook.
"I wouldn't even be surprised at this point..." Another Inkling boy, who was wearing a pair of glasses, adjusted the tie hanging on his shirt. "... in fact, I was wondering why he wasn't doing anything stupid..."
"Tee hee hee!" An Inkling girl wearing a knitted hat and closed eyes, climbed on the boy's shoulders. "What did I miss...?!"
"How did you miss that?!" The leaned Inkling turned his head 180 degree towards the invading girl, while his eyebrows lowered and his irises turned into small dots.
Nick lifted his pants back up, as he sighed and closed his eyes right after...
"... was it at least, interesting...?" His left eye unsealed just enough, so he would stare at Mirii.
"N-NEVER AGAIN!" Mirii's hands were covering her nose, while scowling to no end.
"Alright, alright..." Nick shrugged, as he stared back at Ana. "So, when are we going to duke ourselves against the others...?"
"Once Greta and Bars come to us, then we should start it pretty quickly." As soon as the glasses-wearing boy shook his shoulders, he looked at the store's entrance. "We all have our weapons ready to be used."
"Do you want to see my Squiffer's skills...?" Ana watched Mirii, as she brought her own hands behind her back and smiling kindly.
"Wouldn't that be against the rules?" A sweat drop appeared on Mirii's right side of her head. "We shouldn't know much about our opponents, before we face them in such important match..."
"You can watch 'em again and again, Mirii!" Sheldon stepped out of the Inkling line, as he lifted his right forefinger. "The Global Testfire, after all, is nothing more than an exhibition run...!"
Mirii stood silent, as her mind was filled with thoughts.
"Wanna see my skills, then?" Ana lifted her small-sized opened mouth, keeping her eyes on Mirii like a statue.
"... shouldn't you see Hunley's skills, instead?" Mirii's head rose, as her arms folded. "His abilities were never being exposed in true Turf War matches, as far as I can remember..."
"I would choose this, instead." The boy's glasses shined, as he pushed them right on the middle. "Why not letting him warm up with Ana? We can stay here for a little longer, if we have technical necessities to take care of..."
"Tee hee hee!" Zira dashed towards the entrance where they came. "I wanna get the Rroooollleeeeerrrrrrr...!"
"... why that sounded to scary...?!" Nick lowered his ears, as he almost swallowed his own saliva.
"I accept aiming at such small target..." Ana giggled, now facing Hun. "... what about you?"
"I-I don't know...!" Hun's right hand went behind his neck. "... why not?" He grinned a bit.
"Alrighty!" Ana lifted her right fist, lowering her eyebrows and smiling even more widely. "It's game on, then!"
Hun nodded, as his right hand got away from the neck.
"Follow me, then!" Ana winked, as she twisted behind and walked away.
"Ok!" Hun dashed after the girl, lifting his fists with energy!
The duo ventured inside the semi-dark hallway... Mirii snorted, as she soon stared at Sheldon.
"Is there anything in particular we must keep in mind...?" Mirii's eyes squeezed a little.
"Like, watching my skills?!" Ana shouted from the distance, before a door swinging sound reached her ears.
"I will come, I will come!" Mirii's eyebrows went up, as her hands clasped. "Start without me!"
"This battle will be held in Arowana Mall, which has a special, flying cameras who will catch all your moves." Sheldon clapped rapidly, before pointing the ceiling back. "It's a new idea who was supposed to be introduced by surprise, in the previous Global Testfire who got sadly, cancelled...!"
"... and we are not allowed to hit those cameras, I assume..." Mirii's irises moved over her right side. "Hmpf...! They want to catch our moves by observing us with those poor excuses...!"
"Since we want to add 'em, of course we don't want to deal with broken drone pieces..." Sheldon laughed a bit.
"... drones, huh..." Mirii slightly nodded. "They would be able to store the footage, in case the drones couldn't stream our match live..."
Her right hand took her right tentacle, petting it.
"... I will keep that in mind..."
"We are heading towards the station with the members of Temanga. Where are you?"
Greta was holding her smartphone, while walking down the sidewalk with Carlson on her right side. Her mouth was stretching itself forward, as her right thumb was hovering over a digital keyboard printed on the display.
"... we are almost there." Her thumb was quickly typing the thought words, as they appear on a small white string. "Did you do a quick arena inspection? Where we will fight?"
Her right thumb pushed the blue button near the right side, as the written text appeared inside a yellow, digital ink stain below the previous message positioned on the left side.
"Like, where we will turf our way in?" Carlson brought his hands behind his neck.
"I just asked that." Greta looked at him, while pulling her heavy jacket forward.
"Hmm..." His mouth stretched over his right side. "... like..." He blushed a bit.
"Yeah?" She smiled a bit.
"... should we tell Mirii and Hunter about..." He scratched the back of his head, as he whispered between his teeth.
"That wouldn't be the right time, Barsy." She blushed too, as her smile grew and her eyelids lowered to the middle. "I bet my heavy jacket that Mirii would... start imagining during the battle."
Her right hand went over the boy's left cheek.
"And we can't have a dreamy friend in our global match, can we?" Her eyebrows rose a little.
"... I guess not..." He chuckled a bit, as his left hand went onto hers.
"Thought so too." Greta's hand caressed his left cheek. "And once we are done with those games... we will play our favorite one..." She blushed a little more.
"But girl..." His left hand slid towards the girl's fringe, pushing it over her left side a bit. "There is an online event I must play...!"
"We will play the event together!" Her hands clasped, as she smiled widely and giggled.
"But the event is only for one player...!" The boy shrugged, as his mouth downturned and his arms opened.
"Did I said that I would be holding another controller as well?" Greta's right forefinger touched his nose, as her tongue stuck out. "You silly giant! We will exchange the same controller, while I gladly sit on your large legs...!" She blushed a lot.
"If the event wasn't as hard as nails...!" A sweat drop appeared on his head's right side, as his teeth exposed.
"Ooooh, you think I'm a wimp?!" Greta puffed her cheeks, as her eyebrows lowered and her hands grabbed her sides. "Try me, o' mighty warrior!"
"Girl..." Carlson sighed. "... I will let you play a bit..."
"Yay!" The girl jumped while smiling widely, striking her fists up in the air and hugging his left arm.
Her head rested on the arm, as small hearts flew out of her head. Carlson was blushing... before smiling and leaning his head towards hers.
