Hun began sliding on the right side, as he soon met a smaller pole stuck on the bigger one. The smaller pole was emitting an odd sound...

SPLAT!

"Drat!" Mirii frowned, watching a small, orange Squid flying away. "Hunley!"

"I'm going in, girl!" Carlson swam towards the tall hill, releasing two large ink waves around him.

"Don't move!" Mirii frowned, while bending forward.

The waves ceased.

"They are waiting for us!" She looked over the top of the hill. "We must prepare a decisive attack with Hunley and Greta!"

"But they are away from us!" Carlson's voice emerged from the ink. "And they would take too long to come here!"

"Hmpf!" Mirii's left arm thrusted towards his voice. "You will move when I say so!" Her head rose. "I must find a way to locate Greta..."

A loud whistle hit her ears: Mirii turned over her right side, tracking down Greta in the distance. Mirii smiled, seeing Greta disappearing behind the left wall.

"... I just need to know where Hunley is exactly"

Fssss!

Mirii's head rose, watching a projectile flying towards the middle of the top hill.

"... Hunley?!" Her irises shrunk.

The projectile moved behind the top hill, as an explosion of orange ink erupted widely. Mirii opened her mouth, almost hypnotized by the phenomenon.

A small Squid flew away from the ground...

"... that move was turfing incredible..." Mirii blushed a lot, as her eyes expanded. "WHAT DID I SAID?!"

"Girl, let's get movin'!" Carlson brought his Roller down on the floor. "Hunter got the road wide open!"

Mirii shook her head, as her eyes squeezed for a moment.

"We must wait for Greta!" She aimed her weapon upwards, while looking through her scope.

Di-din!

Mirii's ears rose.

"One minute left!" Sweat emerged on her forehead. "Curses! We don't even have any dominance on the middle of the arena!"

BLAM!

A trail of orange ink appeared before her eyes, covering the steep hill. Carlson quickly turned into a Squid, as he climbed the trail.

Mirii glanced upwards, towards the right side: Greta was leaning on the edge, shooting ink out of her weapon towards the middle of the arena.

"There is no threat!" Mirii dived inside her ink, swimming after the larger Squid who was almost touching the top. "I will bring my own legs into complete exhaustion, if that means to ink the necessary ground for the victory!"

The Squid appeared briefly for a second, before he would jump off her ink and pose on the top of the hill.

On the right, Greta was bending her knees before she would execute a normal jump who would bring her towards the floor beneath.

Mirii didn't look around for too long, before her ears rose: quickly, she dashed towards the other side and watched over a small hill filled with 2 Inklings and one Squid escapist.

Mirii brought her weapon in front of her face, as her left eye closed and her right eye looked through the scope.

The orange Squid escape a long wave of blue ink threw by Zira who was holding a Slosher on her delicate hands.

"Tee hee hee!" She jumped away from Hun, while becoming herself a slightly smaller Squid and hiding in her own blue ink.

Mirii was pressing her weapon's trigger, while her mouth stretched over her right side and her Charger's thin laser was trying to pinpoint her rival, by following her movements around.

Shyly, Ana was walking from the top-left road with her Squiffer in her hands: her Charger's laser pointer was already moving over Mirii's head.

Suddenly, Carlson rose from the orange ink below Ana's sight with his Roller lifted upwards: he swung it, as he sent his ink on both the girl and the wall in front of him.

SPLAT!

Ana flew off as a little Squid: Carlson grinned, just as he saw the shadow of an Inkling boy landing towards him.

Before he knew it, blue ink was falling on his head and-

SPLAT!

Mirii twisted herself over her left side, watching Enrick dashing after her with his brush down.

The targeted girl lowered her weapon, as she bounced backwards and hid behind the lonely pole in the middle.

A Burst Bomb flew over Enrick's face, as he hit it and compressed his eyes, yelping and swinging his brush like crazy!

Greta, who was leaning against the other wall, jumped towards the boy... only to trip on the floor and roll over her enemy.

SPLAT!

She flew away as her smaller self, leaving a large blue ink stain behind. Finally, Enrick shrugged off some of the orange ink stuck on his eyes, as they blinked twice... only to find a laser pointer below the center of his eyes.

BLAM! SPLAT!

He went away as a little Squid. Quickly, Mirii shot multiple ink shots over the remaining blue ink, before climbing the other side of the small hill and bringing her weapon in front of her face.

She aimed towards Nick who was chasing the orange Squid around by foot and by shooting blue ink off his weapon: the floor ahead had a mess of trails on top of dominant blue ink stains and non-covered parts of the floor.

Before she knew it, a wave of blue ink hit her scope, as she lowered her weapon and groaned. As soon as she turned over the right side, another wave of blue ink hit her face.

"Gaaaah!" She let her weapon fall off her hands, as she took just a step back.

A Burst Bomb flew off her direction, hitting her one more time.

SPLAT!

Mirii flew away as a small Squid...

"Tee hee hee!" Zira brought her tablet-like device, as she immediately pushed a button the device.

A rocket was attacked on her back, whose bottom was soon producing a lot of white smoke: it blasted off with ease, falling right in the middle of the top hill and releasing a large amount of blue ink who covered the top hill with in a large, blue circle.

Steps came to her ears' attention, as she was mentally seeing Nick running towards her. She blushed a little, as she twisted herself over her right side... only to find Hun running at full speed, while frowning.

Zira opened her mount, watching Hun jumping off his feet and turning into a Squid in midair: he spun rapidly and hit her in a moment.

SPLAT!

She went away as her smaller self. Hun looked at the remaining blue ink on the bottom floor: he bounced away, pointing his head at it.

Ana was already waiting towards the hill stuck in between two tall walls, with her weapon already holding all the ink charge.

Hun was going towards the blue ink surrounding the base of the tall hill: a circle appeared behind the sliding Squid, spinning on itself... and soon, Greta stomped onto it from above.

She fired her orange ink while moving towards the oppositive direction.

Ana snorted, as she shot her blue ink out of her weapon's muzzle and swam on it. All the sudden, a loud whistle blasted in the air: everyone halted except for Hun who was still sliding around the blue ink.

"HUNRY!" Greta scowled at him, as her irises shrunk.

"Huh?!" He twisted himself towards the calling girl.

"Time ran out!" She became a Squid floating on the orange ink.

"T-time…?" Sweat jumped off the Squid's head.

Greta rolled her eyes.

"We must return back in our base!" She bended on herself, then she performed a huge jump.

"Oh... ok!" Hun bended on himself, as he super-jumped away from his position.

Ana did the same, although her head was pointing over the opposite direction. The two orange Squids reached everyone else, as they were already waiting on the top of the pad.

"How did you do?!" Mirii looked at Greta, almost grasping her shirt, while her eyebrows were down.

"I don't know!" The called girl rose her mouth, as she shrugged. "We were flipping the tables upside-down!"

"Do we have to wait...?" Hun took another look over the arena.

Only a few amounts of orange ink stains were remaining on the floor...

"We must return inside the tower and hear the results." Mirii turned into a Squid, as she went through the pad's base. "Follow me."

She swam across the orange sea, quickly followed by her friends.
