Mrs. Bubblepop was walking around an armchair, drenching her forehead and waving her arms, while looking at the ceiling and moving her mouth silently.
A familiar ring made her heart jump, as she stopped on her feet and looked over the empty hallway. She dashed as fast as she could, while panting: her heart began beating faster.
She reached the entrance, unsealing it with all her strength. Her eyes immediately saw Silin standing on Mirii's right side.
She stood still, with just her mouth open... then, her sobs came. Silin sprinted towards her mother, while the woman instinctively opened her arms, hugging her in a fiercely grasp.
"Owie, owie, mommy..." Silin closed her right eye, while smiling and crying a little. "I'm a little tired..."
"Wh-where have you been?!" Mrs. Bubblepop bended her knees, looking at Silin intensively. "We looked all over the island for you!"
"I... uh..." Silin rose her head. "Mirii, do I have to tell everything"
"She will know, once we have the time." Mirii lowered her head and sealed her eyes, while folding her arms. "For now, we must meet Fara and hopefully wake her"
"Th-those Squids from the Shrine told me that the shoji side is inaccessible..." Mrs. Bubblepop petted the top of Silin's head.
"I can access it without any problem." Mirii rose back her head and eyelids, while snorting and slightly grimacing over the woman. "And so can Hunley and Silin."
"... why..." The woman held her breath.
"Because Silin is not fully back." Mirii did a heavy sigh. "She is helped by Fara's alter ego, in order to interact with our world."
"EH?!" The woman looked back at Silin. "M-my little daughter..."
"I'm fine, mom." Silin smiled a bit. "It's just I'm kinda stuck in Fara's dreams..."
"H-how did you get inside her dreams?!" Her mother expanded her eyes.
"I think she got me in accidentally... she is going through a phase she has no control on." A sweat drop appeared on Silin's right side of her head. "Her alter ego side is telling me all this, though."
"Bu-but there is no one near you..." The woman gave a quick look around.
"She is inside me." Silin brought her right hand on her chest. "We are kinda talking between each other mentally..."
"Oh... ..." Her mother stumbled a bit. "I-I don't know..."
"Mirii, I think we should leave Silin and her mother alone..." Hun walked past the entrance, as he turned behind and stared at Mirii.
"Silin might be needed near Fara." Mirii's head rose. "She has to"
"Mirii..." A sweat drop also appeared on Hun's left side of his head. "I don't think this is the case..."
The girl frowned at him... but then, her eyes went past his right shoulder, noticing the woman's teary eyes.
"... uhm..." Mirii's eyebrows moved all the way up. "... on second thought, we don't need Silin just yet."
Hun smiled at her, watching the girl reaching him.
"I would like to investigate the shoji area and understand why they denied access to Mrs. Bubblepop..." Mirii walked past Hun. "Perhaps, there is something else we don't know yet about Fara..."
The woman held her breath once more, this time her face colour was changing into a bluish tone.
"G-good news, right?!" Silin grinned widely, as she hugged her mother as tightly as she could.
"Uhm?" Mirii halted for a moment. "... what...?"
"Just go!" Silin pulled her mother towards the exit. "Me and mommy will look at the pretty stars!"
"Don't you want to eat dinner, my dear...?" The woman sniffed loudly.
"... sure!" Silin pulled her mother towards the left hallway. "I'm starving!"
"But dear... the door!" The woman looked at the entrance.
"We will close it, Mrs. Bubblepop." Mirii sealed the entrance back with a moderate push.
"Thank you, Mirii..." The woman smiled at her, before being pulled by her daughter.
The two Inklings watched mother and daughter go through the chosen hallway...
"... shall we go, Mirii?" Hun stared back at Mirii.
The girl nodded.
"I hope the Shrine found a solution for such problem..."
Hun and Mirii climbed the last step on the stairs, as they faced two Inkling men standing in front of the sealed shoji.
"Master Hun, we were waiting for you." The left man nodded.
"You must come inside the room and listen to what the High Council has to say." The right man moved towards the wall.
"But the mortal cannot come." The left man walked towards the rail.
"And why I can't?" Mirii folded her arms, as her head tilted upwards.
"Because Master Fara's state of mind is uncontrollable..." The right man leaned on the wall. "She will absorb anyone who doesn't hold any pure energy in within themselves."
"Just like what she did to Silin...?" Mirii's eyes squeezed a little.
"We heard that a mortal was absorbed by Master Fara..." The left man scratched his chin.
"Yes, Silin was absorbed inside Fara's dreams..." Mirii slid her right foot forward. "However, I did enter inside Fara's room afterwards... and yet, I'm still here."
"She wasn't strong enough to immediately absorb another mortal, once she finished with one..." The right man shook her head. "Now she is strong enough to absorb multiple mortals like nothing."
"We will ever be absorbed...?" Hun downturned his mouth.
"We Shrine citizens cannot be absorbed, since our pure energy repeals the absorbing proprieties of Master Fara." The left man leaned his right arm on the rail.
"Huh... ..." Hun looked at Mirii. "I wish you were with me, though..."
"I know, Hunley..." The girl blushed a bit. "But if the room harms my health, then I shall stay here and wait for your return..."
Hun looked at the girl for a brief while... before smiling and nodding.
"I will return soon, ok?" He walked towards the shoji, as his arms stretched towards them.
"Master Hun, your shoe." The right man brought his hands behind his back.
"Ah!" As sweat jumped off his head, the boy bended on his knees and untied all his shoes, taking them off quickly.
He rose back, as he faced the shoji and landed his hands on its middle.
Mirii smiled, grabbing her right elbow with her left hand and observing Hun opening the shoji and venturing inside the hallway.
As the boy walked on the grass, he watched several Squids wearing each a different type of kimono: all of them bowed down at him, once he walked near them.
The boy replied with short tilts, as he quickly resumed his focus onto the last shoji in the distance.
"Master Hun!"
Suddenly, an Inkling woman grabbed his hands and stared at him with her sparkly eyes.
"H-huh?!" His eyes blinked twice.
"D-don't sleep tonight..." The woman caressed his hands. "Y-you will end up sleeping forever"
"Master Hun cannot fall into an endless slumber!" A man pulled the woman.
"H-he is the only Master awake!" The woman shook a little. "We can't lose him"
"This condition only happens before the 14th year of life." The man pulled the woman towards the wall. "If Master Hun never slept like this, then he will never have such thing!"
"Have you fallen into such condition, my Master?!" The woman pulled back with all her strength.
...
"Ehm... I don't remember..." Several sweat drops appeared behind Hun's head, as he grinned at her.
The two stood still... eventually, they watched Hun proceeding towards the last shoji in sight. As the boy arrived, he opened it without hesitation.
He saw several Inklings standing in circles, all of them looking back at him... immediately, Eri and Emi jumped each from a side, walking in front of the older Inklings and properly staring at the boy.
"Master Hun, we were waiting for you." Both twins bowed down in perfect synchronization.
"Is Fara alright?!" Hun resumed his walk.
"She is sleeping nicely, Master Hun..." Emi rose her eyebrows. "... but she is still not waking up..."
"Master Fara reached a level of wisdom so vast, she unlocked the secrets of the pure energy through her dreams." Eri rose her posture and head. "But knowing the secrets, even through a dream, means that Master Fara obtained the power of granting purity towards a being..."
"Unfortunately, she is stuck in her dream..." Emi clasped her hands.
"In order to grant purity, Master Fara focuses on the being to the point of communicating directly to their soul through her subconscious..." Eri rose her eyebrows. "... but since she learned through her dreams, she is already in a state of subconscious... and thus, she never had that conscious side of the experience who would had gave her the possibility to know how to return back to herself."
"Th-there has to be another way to wake her up, right?!" Hun clenched his fists, as he scowled.
"... the only way is to communicate with her through her dreams..." Eri shook her head. "But it has never been done, before..."
"..." Hun looked upw- "Ah!" He stared back at Eri. "Would her alter ego count?"
"Her alter ego...?" Emi tilted her head towards her right side.
"We can't." Eri brought her hands on her sides. "The alter ego is completely invisible in front of our senses..."
"... but Silin is with the alter ego!" Hun nodded, as he hit his left hand palm with his right fist. "Yes, she combined herself with Fara's alter ego!"
Suddenly voices rose from behind the twins.
"We must see her immediately!" Eri had her eyes wide.
"She could help us!" Emi brought her hands in front of her mouth.
Some Inkling adults approached the young girls.
"Call Silin and bring her here!" Eri turned left and right.
A few adults dashed towards the room's exit. Emi smiled, clasping her hands.
"M-maybe there is hope!"
Hun smiled too.
"I hope so too..."
