Son Potter had gasped the extent of her powers. It would only take a miracle to defeat her. Of course he didn't want to let her know this so he had curbed down his powers with the help of magic just like her. She didn't know this though that he could sense her limits. He sighed mentally as he looked at the castle behind her. It would be the fight of his life but he was sworn too this duty that had been handed down to him ages ago.

He swirled the sword in his hand as he floated in the air. She smiled, baring her teeth as she removed her hood. An instant later she appeared inches away from him but he didn't budge. He smiled. She looked down. The sword had been through her body when she had appeared in front of him. She smiled. "You're fast," she said as he removed the sword covered with her black blood.

"No longer human, are you?" he said.

"I never was a human," she said. "Thinking I would be that pathetic…I thought you were smarter than that."

They both disappeared as sparks of lightning started to happen followed by sonic booms that shook the skies and the lands. Everyone inside the castle was watching with wide eyes. Hermione, Neville and Daphne were in their respective house towers awaiting Luna's next instructions. She was allowing them to see the battle with full coverage through her mental link and unlike everyone else the three of them could easily see those two exchanging blows. Amazingly enough they were mostly relying on magical and energy attacks rather than physical blows but it was sort of expected as they both were magical beings.

Was the guardian a magical being, thought Hermione. They appeared to be at par with each other with no one showing even an ounce of tiredness. She knew no one could've survived for that long fighting Tenille. She wondered if the guardian could. A part of her wanted to see him defeat her humiliatingly. "What are we supposed to do?" she asked Luna.

"We wait for his instructions," Luna replied talking about the guardian. "Have patience, Lady Ravenclaw." Hermione nodded and waited, watching Harry and Gohan's new form fighting her.

Son Potter dodged another attack, disappearing it from existence before it could hit Hogwarts' wards. Each of Tenille's attacks held enough power to blow up the entire earth at least twice. There was no doubt about it that his shield around the castle wouldn't be able to deflect her attacks if she were to target the castle. Well, maybe a few times but not every time. He had given the castle a good amount of his powers for her shield and he knew Tenille knew that as well. Although he had hid his powers from her she could easily feel the power level of the wards around the castle and she could definitely destroy it accordingly.

He cut open her attack with his sword as he charged at her. For the first time their fists connected physically and he could immediately feel his powers being sucked by her. He backed away as she appeared more powerful. He tackled her with his energy shield but it disappeared as it came in contact with her. So this wasn't an option he thought as she smiled. He was sick of it – her smile.

"That was delicious," she said smacking her lips. "I want more!" Before Son Potter could react she was chocking him with a nice tight hold on his neck and he could feel himself getting drained at an alarming rate.

"Now," Luna's voice rang inside their heads as Hermione, Neville and Daphne touched the house tower runes and tapped into their magical cores. The top of the three towers lit up and fired off a thick ray of beam towards where the two were fighting. The beam hit the wards, passed through it and hit Son Potter, narrowly escaping Tenille who was left surprised with this sudden attack. She wondered why she hadn't been able to sense it as she saw Son Potter being completely covered by it and before she could do anything the beam vanished and he stood there in thin air just like before with no damage.

"You guys alright?" he asked Hermione, Neville and Daphne.

"We're fine," Neville said, a little out of breath. "Just…Just finish the job."

"We can only do this once more," Luna said specifically to the three. "Recuperate as much as you can because he might need your help."

"As many times as he can," Daphne said as she closed her eyes and tapped into her magic's core and used it to heal herself. She shared it with the other two so that they could heal as well while Son Potter began his second round with Tenille with much vigor and power. She was rather surprised with this sudden increase in his powers and knew she couldn't risk letting him being hit another time with that energy beam. So she spread her arms, conjured a huge swarm of dark flying creatures with the size of bats and let Son Potter handle it as she turned towards the castle and fired of a powerful blast enough to shatter the shield.

Son Potter whipped out his wand and twirled it amongst his fingers before he aimed it towards the incoming attack and fired of a thin beam of magic from it. the beam separated into many smaller beams and hit the creatures taking them all out in one go while he used instant transmission to come between the path of Tenille's attack and the castle, cutting it into nothingness using his sword.

"Now you are getting annoying," she said as she flew towards him.

He knew he couldn't rely on physical blows and that meant he couldn't rely on Gohan and Harry's ki blasts either because she would just absorb it. He had to rely solely on magic so he closed his eyes, concentrated and manipulated his ki. It was a risk but he wanted to try it as he aimed his sword at her. She stood there waiting for his next move as she had felt his ki rise. She smiled. If he was planning to use ki against her then he was really stupid.

His sword crackled with blue lightning before turning yellow as a yellow aura surrounded him. His hair stood up and half of them turned golden yellow. He was using his saiyan side to power up while his magical side to manipulate his ki which he had found was a lot easier. Yamcha would've loved this trick, he thought as he opened his eyes. He smiled as his sword fired a thick beam of blue and yellow lightning that hit Tenille point blank. It was too fast for her to dodge or deflect and Son Potter had used a considerable amount of his power in it so it was bound to affect her to some extent.

The burning sensation filled her as she screamed in agony when the beam of lightning hit her. She couldn't believe that a ki blast could damage her when she finally felt presence of magic in it when it went through her body.

The guardian wasted no time as it teleported right in front of her, his sword still crackling with the lightning as he cut her in half and then went on with very fast and point blank strikes chopping her entire body. Without wasting another moment he sheathed his sword, cupped both his hands as he brought them to his right side and fired of a magic laced energy beam that incinerated her floating bits into nothingness.

He felt her presence. She was no longer there. She was gone as he powered down and landed on the ground. A bright flash happened as he separated back into Harry and Gohan. Luna used her powers allow them to enter through the wards as students and faculties started rushing out. Hermione, Daphne and Neville headed out as well. The threat had finally been gone but with too much loss not to mention.

Hermione hugged Gohan before kissing him on his lips. Daphne did the same with Harry as everyone cheered them around. "There's something we need to tell you," Gohan said as he and Harry stood beside each other looking at Hermione, Neville and Daphne. "It's about Luna."

"What is it?" Daphne asked.

"She…in order to create a mental l ink amongst ourselves and others inside the wards and to keep an overall lookout for threat around the castle merged her magic with the castle's magic," Harry said.

"What do you mean?" Neville asked.

Gohan looked at him with sad eyes. "She's part of the castle now, Neville," he said. "That was the reason why she could manipulate the wards with such ease and quickness. By merging herself with the castle she was in direct contact with the memories and conscience of the founders."

"But…But she will come back though, right?" he asked. "I mean it was her decision. She can reverse it."

"I am afraid that is not something that is possible," Harry said.

"What…What about the dragon balls?" Neville asked. "We can wish her back just like we are planning to bring everyone else back."

"When we were in contact with her we asked her just that and she said she was at the right place," Gohan said looking at Harry who had a sad hint of glint in his eyes. Gohan hugged Neville. "I am sorry, Neville."

Neville broke down in his arms when Luna's voice rang inside his head. "Don't be sad, Neville," she said. "I am here. I will always be here. If you ever need me…even after you've graduated you can come here. The gates of this castle will always remain open to you."

Neville bawled on Gohan's shoulders as he emptied his heart out. Hermione, Daphne and Harry hugged him from around in a group hug, trying their best to console him.

The restoration of the world took place after a month of Hogwarts' battle once Gohan, with the help of Dende, had taken a record of the damage that Tenille had done beyond the limits of the magical world. Then the dragon was summoned and everyone and everything was wished back to life just like it was before. The dragon of the planet Namek was used to wish back those whom Shenron couldn't bring back to life because they had already been wished back to life before by him.

Hermione, Daphne, Neville and Harry were the only ones on the Lookout along with Gohan, Dende and Mr Popo when they summoned the dragon and the four of them couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the dragon. It was HUGE!

Hermione and Daphne heard Harry sniff. They looked at her and saw his eye wet but a smile on his face. They knew that he had sacrificed a lot when helping wish everyone back. He could've wished for his parents' life to be brought back as well but apparently in the time chamber Harry was with his parents for a whole year. There they had talked about various things including their wishes to be not wished back to life. When Harry had asked why his parents had replied he had learnt to live his life on his own, that he had made them proud as their son and he had great friends who would look after him possibly better than they could've ever.

"I miss you, mom, dad," he said to himself as he watched the dragon disappear along with the dragon balls that, having fulfilled their purposes, vanished to different reaches of earth, turned to stone for a whole year until they could revive.

_epilogue_

Since Harry and Gohan had spent two whole years as per the time chamber McGonagall pulled some strings and let the boys take their OWLs and NEWTs which they passed with flying colors. Neville, Hermione and Daphne joined them three years later with Daphne and Hermione marrying Harry and Gohan respectively as soon as the girls had graduated.

Bulma threw a grand party for their wedding inviting everyone from Hogwarts along with the minister of magic Kingsley Shacklebolt.

The truth about Dumbledore was brought to light as to how his secret motives involved living off of the castle's wards. New regulations were structured along with a total sweep-out of the ministry and its smaller branches to bring in impartial and transparent workforce. May students who had joined in the fight were offered respectable ministerial job positions. Daphne became a healer. Harry became an auror and Gohan left to live on Mount Paozou with Hermione who also became the minister's undersecretary. Chi Chi couldn't have been a happier mother as she adored Hermione and when their first kid arrived she was over the head with the happiness of becoming a grandmother although she did throw Yamcha out of the window when he teased her for becoming old as now she was a grandmother. Everyone had enjoyed that moment along with Hermione and Gohan's daughter whom they named Pan.

A year later Harry and Daphne also had a son. They named him James. The two couples became the godparents of the other's child.

Neville had moved in to Hogwarts where he took the offered post of Herbology faculty after he trained under Sprout for a whole year. He remained loyal to his feelings towards Luna whom he would talk every day in the morning and in the evening. It was as per her wishes that he found someone and that someone was Susan Bones. They both married in a private ceremony in the presence of close friends and family members.

(eleven years later…)

The platform bustled with the crowd of people and students alike. There were some nervous and sad faces – the first years going to Hogwarts for the first time. Harry, Hermione, Daphne and Gohan walked through the crowd looking for an empty cabin. They thought they were pretty early but even at this hour there were quite a lot of people out here.

"Alright, this would do," said Harry as he looked at the empty cabin from outside. He then realized that his wife's hand was on his shoulder. He turned and saw her hinting towards their son. It was going to be James' first time and he was clearly nervous. He was last night as well. As Gohan boarded the train to occupy the cabin for the kids Hermione joined Daphne and Harry. "You okay?" Harry asked kneeling down and looking at James.

"Just a little nervous," James replied timidly.

"You don't have to worry," Harry said his hand on his son's shoulder. "You've met all the professors before when they came to your birthdays. And you would be making new friends."

"But what if can't?" James said.

"Well, you've already got help," Harry said looking inside the cabin at Gohan and Pan. "Haven't you heard Pan's rather famous? When students your year realize she is your god-sister they will befriend you. All you have to do then is be yourself and then find some true friends just like your god-parents and your parents did."

"And what if I don't get sorted into the house which I like?" James asked.

Harry smiled as he looked into his son's grey eyes. "Don't worry. The sorting hat does respect the students' wishes for their favorite house."

James smiled sadly as he hugged his father and mother. He then hugged Hermione and then Gohan who got off the train. "Don't let anyone bully you," Gohan said ruffling James' hair. "And remember to train every day."

James smiled. "I will, uncle Gohan," he said as he boarded the train as it whistled for the final time and started to leave the platform. Goodbyes were shared as parents and relatives waved off the students.

The four adults stood there watching their children leave, smiles on their faces as they four held each other's hands and stood in unison.

"And there they go," Hermione said.

"We should head back as well," Daphne said as they turned around.

"We were thinking about hosting a small dinner at our place," Harry said as they walked towards the barrier. "Not everyone but just us four, Neville and Susan."

"You've talked to them?" Gohan asked.

"I will," Harry said.

"Gohan is just happy because if they can't make it he will have more food for himself," Daphne said as everyone started to laugh.

"I wasn't thinking that!" Gohan said with a red face.

"Your face says otherwise," Harry mocked.

"You know living with her means I need to follow some strict diet!" Gohan said pointing at Hermione.

"So this is my fault?" Hermione said.

"I…I didn't say that…" Gohan stuttered.

"I wonder if you will be able to make it do dinner now," Daphne said looking at Gohan as they went through the barrier leaving behind a crowded platform 9 ¾.
