You and I, we're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky
With you, I'm alive
Like all the missing pieces of my heart, they finally collide
So stop time right here in the moonlight
'Cause I don't ever wanna close my eyes
-We The Kings - Sad Song
It was nice to be among the plants, even if she knew they were still on a ship and not planetside. The truth was, she might never set foot on a planet again. That thought saddened her and she banished it quickly. She wasn't here tonight to feel sad. She had come to Cloud 9 to get away from the stress and gloom of Galactica and to meet Lee in secret.
She wished she didn't have to meet in secret like this but it was how it was. She'd quit to be with him if her skills weren't so critical. She was certain that Lee felt the same way.
"Now that's a beautiful sight."
A smile lit up her face as Cally turned from the flowers she had been admiring. Lee was only a few steps away, wearing civilian clothes instead of his uniform. She wondered why she hadn't changed out of her uniform.
"The flowers are pretty aren't they. Maybe we need to find a way to grow some on Galactica."
Lee smiled at her words. "I wasn't talking about the flowers," he told her softly, as he reached out and pulled her close to him.
Cally felt her heart skip a beat at the words though she never got a chance to reply as Lee's lips found hers. What she was going to say went right out of her mind as she felt an electricity pass between them. This was the feeling that she wished she could feel all the time.
Wrapping her arms around him, Cally relaxed into his embrace. She was going to enjoy this feeling while she could and commit it to memory because she wasn't sure when they would be able to steal a few moments alone together again.
