A/N: Thank you for spending another year with me and this pairing! I look forward to making it through another year with them.

Disclaimer: Just for the fun of it.

Standing off to the side of the room, Risa fidgeted with the bow she had tied around her waist in an effort to hide the stain on her year-old dress. All of the other flaws, like the little crease in the collar that never came out and the fraying lace on the bottom hem, stood out starkly in her mind, but she worried most about the bow slipping.

"You look fine."

She jerked and swung around. "Eh—oh, you," she sighed, then glanced away from Hiwatari-kun, who had taken few pains to look nice even though she had personally invited him and had insisted upon his attendance several times throughout the last few weeks.

"Yes, me," he agreed, then stepped closer to her, the full head of height he had on her all the more obvious as she tried to avoid looking at him. "And you look fine."

"Of course I do," she snapped and dropped her hands from the bow at last.
He smirked at her, deserving to be punched, then he moved onward as he repeated, "You do."

"I know!" she fumed, then straightened her shoulders, lifted her chin, and marched back in among the guests.
