A.N: REMEMBER WE HAVE AN EXTRA CHAPTER AFTER THIS ONE! Don't forget! I'll update this coming Sunday.
Mogor: Still bittersweet, I know. But I've got a little hint for you... let's just say Sabine won't be alone in Ezra's tower int this story
Melissa: Hahah, defy Mon Mothma. That made me laugh so hard because the crew is rebelling against the rebellion leader XD
Alejandra: I just remembered you and your sister haven't watched the show so Kanan's goodbye is going to be a lot more painful next chapter when you find out aaaaaaaaaaaah! Unless you already know but i'm just guessing
I don't own Star Wars, just Nitza

part 2
Nitza waved goodbye at the crew as they boarded the Phantom II, and after they waved back the ramp behind them closed. Soon the ship was up in the air with the little girl watching it go. She still didn't like being left behind, but she understood why. And she only felt better having finally talked to the crew and said goodbye for real.
With head held high, Nitza went over the crest of the hill and back down to the orphanage. Asmund was by the wooden gate with the Bendu doll in hand. The children were by the door of the building watching in wonder. As Nitza went to join Asmund, the Felucian handed her the doll and said, "I didn't know you were so close to them. I just thought they just found you out there in the wild."
Nitza grabbed the Bendu and looked at it with fondness. Her fingers brushed over the belly and the bead eyes. Then she said to Asmund, "They did find me in the wild, and they are really close. I love them."
She and Asmund then walked to the children waiting at the door of the orphanage as Asmund said, "Well then…. We'll make sure you feel right at home here like they did."
There was some slight doubt considering home to her was always going to be a giant and the planet it lived in. But at least love came to Nitza not only as a giant but as rebel fighters who cared for her. If Asmund and the children wanted to make her feel loved, she was going to make the effort to try and settle here. At least for as long as needs to me. she knew somehow, one day, she would see the crew again and even better… be back on Atollon with Bendu.
Speaking of…
"So…. What is that?" the human boy from earlier asked again as Nitza joined the children. They were all looking at the Bendu doll.
Kanan's words echoed in Nitza's head. Bendu taught Nitza and helped Kanan understand. But why stop there. Nitza held up her toy, "This is Bendu…. He's…. the one in the middle. And he's my best friend."
After getting settled and having dinner, the night had come. The children and Nitza were sent to bed. But the girl had a hard time trying to fall asleep. The sound of snoring from the other children in the room wasn't the problem. She couldn't stop thinking about the day, and what it would be like to see the crew and Bendu again. She was ok being her but she longed for what she didn't have.
Suddenly she heard a familiar sound. A cry in the night. Nitza turned around in her bed that faced the window. That's when she saw a shadow fly by. A familiar silhouette. It made Nitza fly the covers off her and sprint to the window. She pushed it open to look out and see a… a… "a convore?" No one told her convore's lived out on Felucia… or did they? Grabbing the Bendu toy from her bed, she put it in her mouth as she climbed down the side of the building. Like the trunk of a coral tree, she used chinks in the wall to scale down.
Once on the ground, Nitza was running into the night. Already she was shocked how amazing the land looked at night. Bioluminescence, right? when the plants glowed in the dark. But she could take time to explore the odd beauty of the glowing plants at night another time. Right now, she was focused on following the familiar animal into the depths of the jungle.
A pathway surrounded by giant blue flower buds suddenly became a dry riverbed. The plants turning into coral trees so she could only see with the moonlight and the stars. That's when she stopped in astonishment. There was no way there could be coral trees here. And was the side of the path riddled with… holes? Big enough for krykna to go in and out of? As if she could speak it into existence, a couple of krykna walked out into the moonlight. dokma came out of little holes in the ground. A familiar one scuttled over her feet.
"P-Print?" she gasped as she got down on her knees and picked him up. The off-patterned little critter squealed in joy and climbed up her arm, on her back, and onto her head. Nitza giggled out of feeling ticklish and pure joy. She couldn't believe it. How was she here, on Atollon?
A sound like thunder came from behind the tree line. dokma and Krykna went in all directions, over the hills or disappearing into their holes. Print stayed behind by Nitza's feet as she stood up in surprise. That sound… a terrifying yet comforting sound that grew louder as part of the coral mesa got bigger… or closer? The moving coral came out of the tree line to stand in front of Nitza. The moonlight revealing it to be her best friend.
"Bendu…" Nitza said in almost a whisper. A single tear ran down her face. Was she dreaming? Just like all those other times on Yavin 4 she had closed her eyes and found herself at home and not in reality? But this felt so real. She could feel the dusty riverbed on the heels of her feet. The dryness in the air, not humidity. Sound of the animals. How was this different from the other times? How was it she was finally seeing Bendu and feeling at home?
The giant asked amused, "You've been busy then?"
"I…" she began, still trying to process what she really saw. "I have… a lot's happened. A lot, yes… a lot."
Bendu then kneeled down so that his face was close to hers and asked, "And you feel bad?"
Nitza's eyes narrowed. She has had this conversation before with Bendu. He's said those same words. Like a living memory. Nitza wanted to address it, but she also didn't want to. Somehow she knew, and because it was Bendu, it had to do with the force. She wasn't forced sensitive, but he was a force giant. This was happening for a reason. She didn't want to ruin this moment that she might not ever get again. Because if this was the Force, then it was giving her chance.
A chance to reach her hand out and put it on his nose so she could say, "I don't feel bad. I feel happy. Oh so very happy. Because I love you Bendu, and I won't forget what you taught me."
Bendu smiled and closed his eyes. And as soon as he got there, he was gone. Everything was gone. Leaving Nitza there in the forest of Felucia, smiling as she cried tears of joy.
Far, far away on a planet full of coral tree mesa, an empty and half-destroyed base lay quiet in one of the tallest trees of a grove. In the sky, one lone Star Destroyer staid on the lookout. Still making sure no rebel activity returned to the desolate world. That was about the only thing that Atollon had as a sign of life beyond.
In the rest of the wilds, animals began to stir with the rise of the coming morning sun. Krykna came out of their caves, Convores peeking from their hollows, and dokma crawling out of their little holes. In a deep dirt Pit hidden by a barrier of coral leaflets and a couple of trees, a clump of coral grew in the middle. Or to the naked eye, it was nothing but a large clump of coral.
But there he was, Bendu, sleeping life away. A life that had no time and no meaning. He was just a force of nature. But being a living force of nature, Bendu has some tricks. It's why, in his sleep, he was smiling. Smiling as if he had seen someone he hadn't seen in a while. A child who needed one last lesson even if he couldn't be there physically to teach her every time. A little girl who, no matter how distant he was to her, made him smile every day.
Out of all the children in space, Nitza came crashing down on his planet all those years ago. A will of the Force? Perhaps. He might never know why. But if the Force allowed him to do what he had been doing, then Nitza had been on Atollon for a reason. And perhaps reconnecting now doesn't mean it's the last time these two friends were meant to meet once more.
A.N: WE STILL HAVE ONE MORE CHAPTER AFTER THIS! DON'T FORGET! Anyway so what the heck? How were Bendu and Nitza able to see each other? Or were they seeing each other? Was it just a memory? All I can say to you right now… is that Nitza was awake. And next chapter is going to clear up what just happened. See you all Sunday! I'm KikaKatTIOI, peace out!
