Melvin's group heads north as they resume their explorations, and end up coming across some kind of old abandoned cave, with the name "Chris" painted in faded lettering on the interior wall. There are bars blocking the entrance, but they seem to be brittle and loose, so Valencia knocks them away with her wand, opening up the cave for the group to enter. Inside, Valencia finds three sticks of dynamite, and Melvin finds some kind of bejeweled swastika symbol. Bullseye makes a beeline for the corner of the cave and pockets a block of raw meat, and as the group continues looking around the cave, they find nothing else of interest. However, when they attempt to leave, they find a large swarm of bats in the way. Luckily, they don't seem to be aggressive, but they are still blocking off the path. Tora takes a low stance and rushes through the swarm, emerging unscathed, and Levus coats himself in a shield of black flame and follows after her. Melvin, Victor, and Valencia have a bit more trouble, but they manage to fight their way through regardless, and find that Bullseye managed to escape when nobody was looking, seemingly having returned to his usual difficult to notice state. The group continues to head further north, and a figure starts to run towards them.
"STAAAAY OUTTA HERE! GRAAAAAAAH!" shouts Rush'em as he runs towards the group, clearly having consumed far too much caffeine. Victor quickly swoops away with Valencia in tow to steer clear of the madman's path, while he lets out a startled squeak. Rush'em takes frantic breaths and runs towards Melvin, jumping on him and repeatedly punching him. However, his punches are shaky and weak, and Melvin is easily able to roll over and pin Rush'em down. Rush'em lets out a loud holler to disorient Melvin, and then throws him off, before getting up and charging right towards Valencia. Victor is able to push Valencia aside and prepares to catch the incoming punch from Rush'em with his own hand, but Rush'em takes Victor by surprise and uppercuts him with his other fist. Before Rush'em can take any further action, though, he tenses up and clutches his chest, before falling to the ground. Victor confusedly takes Rush'em's pulse, and realizes that he seems to have died from spontaneous cardiac arrest.
"Well, that was pointless." mutters Tora, rolling her eyes. Victor continues checking Rush'em's body and finds some rechargeable batteries, as well as a handful of homemade caffeine candies. He puts all these items into his inventory, and the group continues on its way. The group finds another cave much like the one they encountered earlier, again with the name "Chris", but this time the paint seems much fresher, and the bars blocking the entry are sturdier, seemingly intended to keep something in, rather than keeping things out. Melvin tries to pry off the bars with his bare hands, but fails and stumbles backwards while Valencia grabs one of the sticks of dynamite she found and lights the fuse using her magic, before throwing it at the base of the cave entrance. The group takes cover as the dynamite explodes, breaking through the bars with ease. The group heads inside, and the entrance collapses behind them, trapping them inside while candles throughout the cave provide light, as well as leaving Victor outside, much to both his and Valencia's dismay. The only things that can be seen in this dim light are three sticks of cheese and a block of gold, mirroring the positions of the dynamite and meat from the other cave. The Ghost of Cheese shows up and grabs one of the cheese sticks, before leaving without even saying his signature line, much to everybody's relief. Valencia picks up the gold, and the group suddenly hears a scraping sound as a large boulder is rolled to the side, and from it emerges Chris himself, seemingly angered at these trespassers. Chris throws a rock towards the group as a warning, but Melvin gestures towards the collapsed entrance, showing that the group wouldn't be able to leave even if they wanted. While Chris ponders this, Viola jumps out of the ground and rams into him, and before he can regain his bearings, Titan Sean runs up and beats up his left shin. Valencia casts a spell of pain on Chris, causing him to get hepatitis and be immediately cured. Chris rips a stalactite off of the ceiling and grunts as he points it at Valencia, but before he can do anything, Sean rips up a stalagmite and stabs it into Chris's already damaged left shin, forcing him to drop the stalactite. Chris tries to pick up a giant boulder to throw, but his average strength doesn't allow for him to do that, since the door to his lair was actually just a plastic boulder. Sean manages to rip out Chris's left shin and starts getting to work on the right one, while Jumbo begins to burrow his way through the collapsed cave entrance. Melvin picks up a sizable rock and rushes towards Chris, before slamming the rock over his head, caving his skull in and killing him instantly just in time for Sean to get rid of the remaining shin. Three of Chris's teeth fall out when he hits the ground, and Valencia decides to take them, while Tora picks up a Peculiar Sigil that Chris had on his person and decides to hang on to it. Jumbo finishes burrowing through the entrance, allowing for the group to exit and for Valencia to gleefully reunite with Victor, handing him the block of gold that she found in the cave. As the group heads north once more, they reach the northernmost part of the Great Fleshy Candy Land, and find yet another teleporter to activate. Nearby is some kind of unsettling sacrificial pyre, with a sign that says "DO NOT feed the flames youthful meat" nearby. Of course, Melvin immediately takes the block of meat from Bullseye and attempts to cast it into the flames, but it comes out unscathed, seemingly rejected due to its age. Ignoring the pyre for the time being, the group heads west and finds some kind of poorly constructed shop, with a crude sign reading "S'perber Beta" on it. The shop is too small for all of the group to head inside at once, so they nominate Melvin to go on his own. Walking inside, Melvin is greeted by Popsicle and B-D0G, who seem to have set up this shop all by themselves.
"Oh, wow, someone actually found this place? I guess maybe you weren't wrong, after all." Popsicle sighs, casting a sidewards glance towards B-D0G. Melvin notices some kind of strange bottle of energy, and makes a vague gesture in its general direction while he talks.
"Ayyy, what's that thing in the other thing over in this thing, y'know?" Melvin asks, and Popsicle just narrows her eyes and stares at Melvin.
"You mean B-D0G? Just some dimwit." Popsicle responds, rolling her eyes.
"And what is he?" Melvin asks, completely dropping his original question. He also notices a weird baby-shaped meatloaf for sale, and discretely slips B-D0G the necessary funds to purchase it.
"Exactly." Popsicle says, while B-D0G hands Melvin the meatloaf baby. Melvin shrugs and walks outside, with what he believes qualifies as "youthful meat" now in hand.
