Warning! Snogging
It had been nearly three days since Harry had sent Sirius his letter. Harry could see Hedwig Flying back, her glorious pale white feathers delicately synchronized with the wind. The Snowy Owl thrusted her talons out and gracefully landed on the windows short owl balcony like a ballerina landing softly on her feet after a quick twirl. Hedwig put extended her leg out to Harry as if she was greeting Harry in a formal way. Harry carefully took the letter off and gave her a biscuit. "Good girl, here." He said, giving her an owl treat. She nipped his hand affectionately and flew to her little box under the 'Personal Owls' section of the owlery. Harry left the tower and went down to his dormitory. Once he reached his bed he sat down and unwrapped the envelope with a Gold and red stamp on the bottom left. Harry took the letter and read it.
Dear Harry,
I completely understand your situation. Me and
Remus always thought you were going to come through with your feelings someday. It was always kind of obvious you liked her, you two have very much in common. Right now pup, the best advice I can give you is to enter the situation head-first and admit your feeling towards
Her, if she rejects you, DO NOT try to win her heart. Just do what you want your heart to follow through with. Winning someone over is a bad decision
Because it's like a love potion.
Remus agrees.
See you soon.
Love,
Sirius Black.
Harry agreed with what was said. He thought that the best decision was to tackle his predicament head-on. He had the balls to ask her out to the ball, which is the definition of a date, so he should have the balls to ask her out. Harry stood up and carefully placed the letter back inside of the envelope and walked down to the common room. Harry was planning on asking her when everybody else was asleep. Harry planned on asking her on a date, if she rejected, he would accept it and try to move on,
If she accepted, he would take her to hogsmade on Sunday, after he would do his detention. Harry had a good breakfast with his friends and Dean accidentally wacked Seamus so hard, his food seemed to say "ouch.."
Their first class was charms. Professor Flitwick was especially nice to Harry that day, which he couldn't figure out why. Second period was Ancient runes. The class learned a rune that would allow them to speak mermish (which would've been handy during the third task) and they also learned a rune that allowed them to be resistant to poison for a limited duration of time. Third period was DADA which had gotten Harry ANOTHER detention. The rest of the day was just free periods, luckily. Harry rolled up his robes sleeved and looked at his watch. It was rolling around a quarter past 9 and most of the Gryffindor 7th, 6th, 5th and 4th years were going to bed, while the rest were already in bed. Harry went up to his dormitory to read Sirius's letter over again. He walked back down and looked over Hermiones shoulder. Luckily, she knew he was there. "Hermione." He said in a soft voice. "Yes?" She replied, also using a soft voice. "Can I ask you something?" He asked, he was trying his best to not leak any hint to him being possibly nervous of something which could lead to Hermione suspecting Harry was up to something. "Would you like to possibly go on a date with me?" Hermione looked at Harry, who was now sitting beside her. His Bottle green eyes reflected her own. She slowly started to succum to the realization of what he just said. She dropped her book and cupped Harry's cheek, slowly she pressed her forehead against his and gently place her lips against his. Hermione and Harry closed their eyes as they let there mouths explore each other. Harry opened his eyes and looked at her, she did the same. They looked at each other and started kissing again, except this time more passionate and serious. It was like exploring an oasis or the outback. You don't know what to expect, but when you finally see what's there, you are hooked and can't get enough, it's just so elegant and beautiful, kissing. They slowly began to slow down, even though they weren't going wild. They came to a stop and just pressed their foreheads against each other, "Yes Harry." Hermione said and they both slowly drifted off into a palace of dreams, no nightmares or thoughts of Voldemort, just each other.
Authors note: I felt that this chapter was kind of short, but I felt that it didn't need to be long, as exploring the beginning of a romance or relationship that's moving isn't the longest thing in the world. Hope you understand. Peace.
