Flashkit blinked open his eyes, as they slowly adjusting to the peeking sunlight through the den entrance he stretched his legs out before him. He looked around the den; his mother was just coming to the waking world and stretched the sleep out of her limbs. She turned her head with a bright gleaming smile on her gray face, leaning forward to lick Flashkit's golden ears. "Good morning sweety, ready for another big day?" she purred.
Flashkit shied away, placing his paws on Stormflash's muzzle. "Mum… I am ready enough without needing to be groomed." He complained, but a purr rumbled in his throat as well.
He tried to free himself from the she-cat grasp, but her paws held him close and in range of her rough tongue. He struggled to get free and he squeaked from the feeling.
The dark gray she-cat purred and pulled back her muzzle, looking down at her work. "Okay then, you look perfect now, go ahead and play now with Alderkit and Lightkit." She purred.
Flashkit leaned against her muzzle and purred. The she-cat pulled back and batted him slightly before turning to look at Barkstripe.
"Hey Alderkit, want to play!" Flashkit called over to the small reddish brown tabby tom, he perked up his ears and his head shot up.
"Badger in the camp?" Alderkit squeaked with excitement.
"Oh yes… let's play Badger in the camp!" Alderkit's white pelted sister, Lightkit, chimed in.
Flashkit chuckled and dropped into a crouch. "Oh yeah, and I'm the badger!" he growled.
He leaped off the ground and slammed down into the small reddish brown tabby tom, looming overhead to play deliver the final blow. Lightkit leaped off the ground and came hurtling towards Flashkit quickly, shoving him off of her brother. "Oh no you don't Badger, come on Alderclaw, let's get rid of this threat!"
Flashkit shook out his fur and rose to his paws while fluffing out his fur, he flexed his claws and dug them into the ground before launching at the two of them with a powerful push. Lightkit gripped with the golden tabby as they tussled on the ground, Alderkit gripping onto Flashkit's back. He yowled and shook himself to shake him off, the claws weren't deep; but they gripped hard onto his fur.
He finally got the smaller tom off, and let out a mighty cry as he leaped towards the tom. "You think I'd give up that easily?" he play growled as he swiped at his face, the reddish brown tabby ducked and slammed into Flashkit's chest with a head butt.
Flashkit stumbled back, his mind whirled as he trilled with excitement as he slammed into Alderkit and took the fight outside. Lightkit, Barkstripe, and Stormflash following as the queens watched their kits play.
Flashkit held Alderkit one more time, before the smaller tom heaved him off of him. "You made a terrible mistake coming here, now you will pay for it with your life!" Alderkit growled.
Flashkit gave a cocky smirk as he braced himself. "Come and try cat, you will be my dinner. I have recently feasted upon DarkClan warriors, I am not afraid to take you on!" he growled.
"We are stronger and better than those whelps, your meal won't be so easy!" Lightkit retorted.
"Try it!"
…
"Alright you two, time for a nap!"
Flashkit looked up at the sun, it was almost at Sunhigh. "But mum, we're not tired!" Lightkit complained.
Barkstripe came over anyway, picking up Lightkit as Alderkit scampered after her. Meanwhile Stormflash was all over Flashkit again with her dangerous tongue. "Mum!"
Stormflash fixed his fur before purring back. "Perhaps another tom needs a nap as well, you must be worn out after almost an entire day of play."
Flashkit shook his head. "N-n-n-no, I want to go and play some more!" he answered.
Stormflash gave him a questioning look, the glint in her eyes showed she wasn't swayed even in the slightest. She picked him up and carried him off back to the nursery.
