Chapter two
(Marko's POV)
It didn't take us long to get over to Max's place. He was already sitting in his living room waiting for us to show up. David had let him know that we needed to meet and that it was an emergency, which he grumbled saying it probably wasn't but either way he agreed for us all to come.
Even though Max was a powerful vampire he still liked to appear as mundane as possible which showed in the way his house was decorated. The carpet was a cream colour with off white walls, in the centre of the wall was a fireplace with its original wood, with a large photo that hung above. On either side were bookcases filled with a collection of books which Max had collected for many years. The sofa's were your average kind with tartan throws thrown over to tie the place together with the green chair that Max always sat in.
"What a lovely visit from my boys and the little witch, so which one of you would like to say what's going on?" he raised his brow and looked between us all.
"I think it would be best if Kat explained" David spoke up from his corner of the room. Max turned his attention to Kat and guestered for her to start.
"Marko said he saw Kita and that she has to do something before she is able to come back and that she made a deal with the devil" she explained, Max just sat there for a moment taking in everything that had been said before looking at me.
"You're sure that it was Kita?" I nodded in response.
"It means only one thing the devil wants to walk amongst us once again"
"And that's a bad thing?" David asked clearly confused.
"My boy it most certainly is, you see a very long time ago the devil also known as Lucifer used to be one of God's angels before he was cast out of heaven and forced to be the ruler of hell. When the earth started to form and Adam and Eve were created, he tricked Eve into biting into the apple which then created the first human beings to be kicked from the garden of Eden. God was so angry with what he had done that he cursed him to stay in the underworld and the only way he could ever be freed is if another angel went against God to free him. Lucifer however saw a loophole in God's punishment you see none of the Angels in heaven would ever go against his father but there was nothing said about half God's, from there Lucifer had multiple children yet there was a slight problem with his plan. None of them were strong enough to withstand his angelic blood, this anger Lucifer and in a fit of rage he cursed God's creations however in doing so he created the first witches. Lucifer was sure the witches would be able to carry his child with the power they already held thanks to him but once again there was a problem. God would not allow Lucifer's creations to survive, sending out plagues and everything he could to stop him, no witch would carry a child until Lucifer had put an end to this idea. Lucifer was prepared though a child in secret to a witch that no one knew, she would grow up as a human until the time was right hidden in plain sight. Yet his child was more powerful than he expected leaving her with humans would not keep her safe so he assigned a witch to protect his child at all costs until she was powerful enough to protect herself."
"Amy and Kita?" Kat muttered.
"So what will happen when he returns" Dwayne spoke for the first time, you could see the panic on his face just like everyone else's.
"That I'm not too sure about, some say that when he returns to earth the gates of hell will open and rain upon heaven. Everything we know will be gone including us, the only thing that will be left is Lucifer and Kita "
"So how do we stop it" I asked worried.
"We need to kill Kita before she brings upon the end" shit that wasn't the answer I wanted.
"Isn't there anything else we can do?" I pleaded Kat also looked at me worried wanting any kind of alternative.
"I'm afraid not" was all Max said, I needed some air away from everyone else.
I stormed out of Max's house and just walked I wasn't sure where I was going I just needed to be alone. Apparently I had walked all the way back to the boardwalk, the only place I could think to go was the beach. It was late enough that there wouldn't be too many people about and I could just sit with my thoughts.
It's been a year since she left and I thought I'd never see her again, now here she is and they want to take it all away from me.
"You know there's another way?" A female voice sounded from next to me, not just any voice it was her voice.
I turned my head slowly to look at the small brunette girl that was now sitting next to me. I hadn't even heard her come up beside me was I in my thoughts too much or was this a new ability that she possessed. Looking her over I noticed she wasn't wearing what she was earlier before she wore black jeans, a black jacket and biker boots now she was in a simple red summer dress. As my eyes scanned the rest of her I noticed she wasn't wearing shoes but on her left ankle she wore a small anklet with the letter "M" on, did the m stand for me?
"Another way?" I asked eyebrow arched as I waited for her to continue.
"That's right what I'm about to tell you, you can't tell anyone that includes the rest of the boys if you do there will be no saving me. Do you understand?" She said turning her body to me and taking my hand in hers as she spoke.
"I...I...I promise I won't tell anyone" I whispered back, she smiled and leaned forward and whispered to me her plan. My eyes went wide.
