A few minor changes. First, the House of Potter's pirate ship is now the Djinn, rather than the Garuda, because that name has more relevance where it was originally operating. Second, there was no shade of Voldemort left to escape Harry's nursery. The functions of the protective magic the rituals bestowed on Harry were defined by intent and traditional justice... An eye for an eye…. So it would respond to anyone attempting to kill Harry with magic by sucking all their magical energy and everything else associated with magic out of them to enhance Harry's protections…. Anything but the rituals themselves had been lost centuries ago so Dorea hadn't known how the ritual would protect Harry and the others, she just knew that it had been described as the most powerful protective ritual known to Wizarding kind…. And Third, the protection rituals were performed for four other children of the Druid Houses as well, Neville Longbottom, who the old prophecy that Dumbledore dragged out and had rehashed could also apply to, Susan Bones, who was at risk because she was from another powerful Druid House, which was almost wiped out by the Death Eaters, Daphne Greengrass, whose family had been riding the knife edge of being neutral through the war, and Pandora's daughter Luna and Daphne's sister Astoria when they were born. These five went to Isla Negra with Harry and the others so they also spent their early years growing up in paradise.

Usual disclaimers, no rights to anything from JKR's stories and any similarity to anything in the real world is strictly coincidental.

They loved nearly everything about living on Isla Negra (being forced to listen to Sirius singing 'Island in the Sun' over, and over, and over again was probably one of the biggest negatives) and none of Harry's Godparents wanted him to be subjected to the stupidity of the bigoted idiots in Magical Britain, but they'd been waiting for him to be magically accepted as Head of House and get to the point where he could cope with and cover up his new abilities and memories and pretend that he was a relatively 'normal' Magical boy of around three or so to make their move to get Sirius cleared, and pull the rug out from under Dumbledork, Minister Bagnold and the so-called ex Death Eaters while they were at it. While it was Wulfram, Arcturus Black, Frank Longbottom, Amelia Bones and Andi Tonks who would be doing most of the work in this, the Wizengamot would have to see Harry being accepted as Head of House by his Family Magics in the Wizengamot Chamber before they would accept Wulfrum as Regent for his Houses…. That was why they returned to Magical Britain for the first Wizengamot session of Nineteen Eighty Three.

Lord Arcturus Sirius Black, as Head of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black and Its Associated Houses, Clans and Families would make the first move to put most of the Wizengamot Members on the back foot and defang many of the 'Dark' Houses with his shocking revelations and actions. Then the appearance of Lord Frances Hartford Longbottom, Head of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Longbottom and Its Associated Houses, Clans and Families, to offically reclaim control of his House would be throwing them even further off balance, because as far as most of them knew, Lord and Lady Longbottom were still in what amounted to a vegetative state in their private room in St Mungo's, and his seizing everything the Houses of Lestrange and Crouch had left for their parts in the attack on the House of Longbottom would increase the panic of the Dark and Light Houses and the Ministry.

The discovery of the supposedly dead Death Eater Bartemius Crouch Junior being kept hidden under the Imperius curse in Crouch Hall resulted in both Crouches dying from having all their magic stripped from them. Minister Bagnold was furious to learn that there was nothing they could do to stop Frank Longbottom taking over Barty Crouch Senior's title and position as Director of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, because like all other titles, assigned or purchased Senior Ministry of Magic titles (IE: Everything but the Minister for Magic and Director of the DMLE and Department of Mysteries, which were voted in by the Wizengamot) were classified as assets which could be legally claimed as part of the compensation for criminal acts.

Madam Amelia Bones, in her role as Regent for the Noble and Most Ancient House of Bones and Its Associated Houses, Clans and Families, doing the same to the Houses of the Death Eaters who murdered her brother, who was Head of the House of Bones at the time, and most of his family would push them even further… And when they didn't know which way to turn, Wulfram would play their trump card… Carrying the young Lord Henry James Potter-Peverell, AKA The-Boy-Who-Lived, down to the floor of the Wizengamot Chamber to use the Stone of Truth to prove that Harry Potter was hale and hearty and already accepted by the Potter and Peverell Family Magics as their Head of House at around three years of age, and then with Andi's help striking out against Pettigrew, Dumbledore and the Ministry.

Harry had been a very upset little boy, having to look into Voldemort's memories to see which Death Eaters had been involved in attacks on the Noble and Ancient and Noble and Most Ancient Houses and their vassals, but luckily there weren't too many of their Houses that met the criteria for them to use the old Magical Laws to force the issue in the Wizengamot, and he didn't have to look any further than seeing who was involved. The beauty of the Old Laws in this instance was that magic itself would force them to provide the evidence demanded. The Old Laws also took precedence over any and all of the later laws the Pure-Bloods instigated through the Wizengamot, so they could not be denied. This allowed them to eradicate the Houses and remove the magic of prominent Death Eaters who had bought their freedom the previous year, and completely remove the blight of Dumbledore's two Death Eater minions (Pettigrew and Snape) from existence.

As soon as Harry had proven to the assembled Wizengamot members and observers that he was indeed the magically accepted Head of the Noble and Most Ancient Houses of Potter and Peverell and Their Associated Houses, Clans and Families, Alice Longbottom took him, her son Neville and Amelia's Niece Susan Bones (Who also proved in front of the Wizengamot that she had been magically accepted as Head of her Houses so that her Aunt's rights as Regent were magically confirmed, along with twenty others between the ages of four and eighteen from Ancient and Most Ancient Houses and Clans whose parents or families had been killed off by the Death Eaters in the war, with their Regents revoking all previous voting proxies and assigning new ones to reinstate or take back the votes for their House or Clan. They were putting Dumbledore and everyone else who tried to remove the threat to their plans represented by the Druids on notice that the Druids would not go down without a fight.) back to Isla Negra. They were being guarded by The Potter's Retinue and it didn't take more than a few of the reporters and others who tried to accost them needing to be rushed to St Mungo's to have the injuries they incurred by trying to interfere with Alice, Susan and the boys treated as a matter of urgency for the rest of them to get the message to back off. They did make a note to keep a close eye on one of the more insistent reporters who had to be forcibly dissuaded, a foul creature by the name of Rita Skeeter though, because she was obviously the type who wouldn't stop until she got the dirt on her intended victims.

While Harry had a role in refuting challenges to Wulfram's right to represent the Houses of Potter and Peverell though, he, Alice, Neville and Susan were mainly there to provide theatre… To give the papers key images to help sell the story of proceedings of the day. Harry, Neville and Susan represented the future of the Aristocracy of Magical Britain and the fact that two of these three adorable little children had been made orphans by Voldemort and his Death Eaters, and it was only Bellatrix Lestrange's psychopathic need to torture the Longbottoms first rather than give them a clean death and Neville's godparents being called to them by his panic that had prevented the third joining them as an orphan sent a powerful and very damning message to the Noble Houses.

The evidence shared by the Head of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black that the so-called Lord Voldemort that the Pure-Blood Supremacists had bowed to and served was nothing but a common Mudblood orphan bastard, sired by the wastrel son of a wealthy common Muggle family under the effects of love potions who rejected his mother as soon as she stopped potioning him, born out of wedlock to the Squib daughter of an inbred and knutless Pure-Blood family who died in childbirth and raised in a Muggle orphanage, captured the Pure-Bloods' attention more than the imagery they were pushing with Harry, Neville and Susan, because it was proof that the Mudblood bastard had played them all for fools. Of course, the 'Traditonal' Pure-Bloods ignored the warning of what Pure-Blood practices can ultimately lead to, Squibs of limited capacity, but others didn't. The decline of the Gaunts was common knowledge and they could see that the Crabbes, Goyles and Flints weren't the only 'Traditional Pure-Blood' families going the same way.

The proof that the self-professed 'Leader of the Light', the Great Albus Dumbledore had known this all along…. Being the one who went to that Muggle orphanage to introduce Tom Riddle to the Wizarding World…. but had kept this knowledge to himself and did nothing to stop the rise of the so-called Dark Lord sent an even stronger message…. Especially when they added the information that the previous Dark Lord who most of Dumbledore's fame and position came from had in fact been his lover and had obviously not been destroyed in an epic duel as the Wizarding World had been told, because he was living in relative comfort in Nurmengard Castle and being visited several times a year by his so-called vanquisher.

The family was enjoying the fear and panic growing on Dumbledore's face as all this came out, because they knew that the fabled Elder Wand had disappeared before his very eyes (like the Potters' Invisibility Cloak, the Elder Wand was a Peverell Heirloom, so Harry was able to use the Peverell Family Magic to call them to him once he was magically accepted as Head of House Peverell) over six months before and without it to boost his magical power he had no hope of confounding or obliviating enough people to make this go away.

By the end of the Wizengamot session, the power and influence of the 'Dark' Houses was in tatters and Dumbledore was cast out of and permanently barred from ever holding any role in the Wizengamot or the Ministry of Magic of Magical Britain (Minister Bagnold jumped at the chance to pin the blame for the deals to let the rich Death Eaters off on Dumbledore, and as dethroning Dumbledore was their primary aim at that point they let her lies stand for the moment, even though they knew that she was just as guilty).

Unfortunately, Dumbledore had enough blackmail material on the ones who made up the Hogwarts Board of Governors at the time to prevent him being dismissed as Headmaster and the Pure-Bloods and other Sheeple who made up most of Magical Britain refused to accept the evidence against him, so the best they could do there was to officially transfer a large portion of his power and authority at Hogwarts to Minerva McGonagall as the Deputy Headmistress and use that to curb as many of his excesses as they could and he was ordered to take over teaching Potions for the rest of the School Year. His anger at losing total control of what happened at Hogwarts increased when the Druid Houses reclaimed their rightful seats on the Board and he was also ordered to teach the Sixth and Seventh Year Transfiguration classes because the Deputy Headmistress had had to take over so many of his duties as Headmaster (she'd been doing the work since she became Deputy Headmistress, the difference was that it was now official and she had the authority to make the decisions).

They did manage to get another hit in on him by invoking an almost forgotten function of the Stone of Truth, using it to have the Family Magic judge someone's worthiness to hold their position in the family. The Stone found Albus Dumbledore wanting so his younger brother Aberforth became Head of the Minor House of Dumbledore. Aberforth's first act as Head of House was to formally cast Albus Percival Dumbledore from the Minor House of Dumbledore and reclaim everything rightfully belonging to the House of Dumbledore from him. Losing the Head of House's Family Magic on top of losing the boost from the Elder Wand meant that he only had a small fraction of the magical power he'd had six or seven months earlier. Aberforth also magically changed the family name to his mother's maiden name of Jones and banned him from using it, so he became Albus Percival No-Name. He was still allowed to call himself Albus Dumbledore, but he no longer had the right to make any magical agreements on behalf of Hogwarts or the Dumbledore or Jones Family, so he had to use the name Albus No-Name if he wished to make any agreements. They'd also found proof that he'd been faking magical acceptance of agreements under his made up name of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore and formally warned that if he was found to have faked another magical acceptance he'd be thrown into Azkaban for at least ten years. It wasn't a good time to be Albus Dumbledore.

They could only use this law to compel the truth from the ones directly involved in attacks against Noble and Ancient and Noble and Most Ancient Houses and their vassals, so unless those ones gave clear evidence against others under the influence of the Stone of Truth, it wasn't possible to exact justice against them, or the so-called 'Light' Pure-Bloods who had colluded with them and profited almost as much from their crimes.

At least Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy didn't manage to escape justice this time, as they both collapsed and died soon after the Stone of Truth stripped all their magic and everything else from them for their crimes (which included using the same forbidden blood rite to force their unborn babe to become male in the womb as Abraxus had used to force Armand and Lucius to become male, as their mother was in fact a Veela concubine whom he had forcibly bound to him with other forbidden blood rites and killed after Lucius was born to keep the secret from getting out because his Pure-Blood wife was incapable of bearing children). Arcturus formally decreed that their son Draconus was to take his Maternal Grandmother's name of Rosier and become Draconus Armand Rosier, because the British House of Malfoy had been eradicated and he wouldn't allow anything to formally link the House of Black to the foul creature named Lucius Septimus Malfoy… Draco was also the only surviving descendant of the Noble and Ancient House of Rosier who still qualified to become its Head of House, which, as an Ancient House, he would be able to do when he turned Eleven providing the Family Magic accepted him.

The Lovegoods officially took custody of Draco because Xeno Lovegood had in fact been born Armand Abraxus Malfoy, he was Lucius Malfoy's disowned older brother. The Tonks actually had a stronger claim to Draco, as Andi Tonks was Narcissa Malfoy's older sister and Arcturus had not cast her out of the House of Black as her parents demanded, but it was agreed that the boy would be better placed with the Lovegoods as their daughter was much closer to Draco's age and Xeno and Pandora could work from anywhere as Unspeakables, while as a Law Witch and Wizard and Mundane Barrister and Solicitor, Andi and Ted needed to be in London much of the time and Nymphadora had already started school in Mundane London (as Theodora Tonks, there was nothing they could do about the moment of Black Madness that made Andi name her daughter Nymphadora at birth because it had been magically accepted, but they amended it to Theodora when they created her birth records in the Mundane World and she was generally called that or Dora).

Alice had gone through the Black Townhouse to take the kids back to Isla Negra... When Padfoot and Moony brought Harry to Black Manor, Arcturus decided to do what he'd been wanting to do ever since his spineless son allowed his conniving cousin to trap him into getting her pregnant so he'd be forced to marry her, he formally cast Walburga Black out of the House of Black and recalled everything rightfully belonging to the House of Black from her. Losing the Black Family Magic that came to her as a daughter of the House of Black and more importantly as the Consort of the Heir Apparent to the House of Black (though this was less than it would have been if Orion hadn't been too weak willed to be accepted by the Black Family Magic as the Heir) was more than the old hag could take and she was dead in less than a week.

While Arcturus could understand Sirius' resistance to moving back into the Black Townhouse, where he'd been abused and derided for just about his entire childhood, the Heir Apparent of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black needed to be seen to be residing in the Heir's official residence to be accepted as such by the Aristocracy of Magical Britain, so he enlisted Moony, Andi and others' help to get it through his Grandson's thick head that he had to take up residence as soon as he was cleared. There was a lot of shouting and carrying on, but in the end Sirius grudgingly agreed and they got started on cleaning the Townhouse out, with the first task being removing and destroying his mother's magical portrait, which had been permanently stuck to the wall of the entry hall so that she could abuse anyone coming into the house.

Harry wandered into the Master Study of the Lodge on Isla Negra for a cuddle while Sirius was trying to identify the dark objects that the team cleaning out the Townhouse had sent through. While Sirius initially said to just destroy these, it was pointed out to him that some of them could be important Black Heirlooms or historical objects, so he had to make an effort to properly identify them first (this was in part a nudge to make him work at understanding his duties as the future Head of the House of Black too). Harry understood and accepted the 'look, but don't touch' rule because many of these things were dangerous, but he froze when he saw a locket that looked just like something he saw in the memories of the one who killed Mama (which was why he needed a cuddle, because those memories were awful). He explained that to Sirius and Sirius carefully put the locket into a secure box and then took it and Harry through to Gringotts.

They didn't have any trouble getting in to see Jareth, Overlord of the Fae in The World Above (but most of the Wizarding World only ever heard him referred to as the Director of the Gringotts Banks) because the Potters had been the Patrons of the Fae for well over Two Millennia so the Little Lord Potter was the World's Most Important Human to the Fae, his mother and grandparents had also been favourites of the Goblin Nations (his father not so much after he started swallowing Dumbledore's shite), so Harry was pretty much an access all areas pass in the Goblin Nations. Jareth called in the Curse Breakers to examine the locket and they confirmed that it contained dark soul magic. Patty Rakepick mentioned that this seemed similar to the signature of the magic in the curse scar on Harry's forehead that they'd removed when he was brought in after the attack at Gryffindor Cottage that night, and when they checked the records they found that she was correct.

The more experienced Curse Breakers looked at each other when that was confirmed, because what those two pieces of information added up to was something that they did not want to think about. Then Sirius mentioned how this had come up and they got the memory from Harry so they could review it, but that only made it worse because they found that Riddle/Voldemort had actually created five of these foul things, and it would have been six if he'd succeeded the night he killed Harry's parents, so they had four more to track down and destroy.

The Second one was Helga Hufflepuff's enchanted cup, which was actually in the Lestranges' vault at Gringotts. The Goblins got around the legal dilemma about interfering with customers' vaults by scanning the vaults for forbidden magic and curses, removing the cup when the scan showed dark magic and fining the Lestranges a large whack of the gold in their vault for bringing something that foul into Gringotts. To the Goblins' glee, that exercise also netted them quite a bit of gold from other Pure-Blood Houses who hadn't bothered paying attention when they told them about the penalties for bringing dark objects into Gringotts.

The next one after that was relatively easy to track down at the Gaunt Cottage just outside Little Haggleton, but it cost them two Warriors and a Curse Breaker getting it. That was the Peverell Head of House Ring, which the Gaunts had claimed as the Gaunt Ring even though it had never accepted them. It was also the Resurrection Stone, the last of the fabled three Deathly Hallows.

They knew that one of the items was Tom Riddle's diary, but they couldn't go after that until they took Lucius Malfoy down, because Riddle had given it to Abraxus Malfoy, his father, for safekeeping.

It was the final item gave them the most trouble. They could see that it was somewhere on the upper floors of Hogwarts but none of them could recognise or find the room it was in, which confused them because it looked bigger than the Great Hall so they couldn't work out how it could remain hidden. In the end it was an Elf whose family had been wiped out in the war and had been working at Hogwarts to keep enough magic to stay alive until his family had a new Head to call for him who recognised and told them how to open the Come and Go Room, or Room of Requirements as the Wizards called it.

Getting into the room was only part of the problem though, because there was nearly a thousand years worth of lost and abandoned items in there. After searching in vain for a few days, they decided to take a more methodical approach and help Minerva get Hogwarts back on her feet, so to speak. Many of the hundreds of Elfs at Hogwarts were being called back to their families as the Heirs were magically accepted as Head of the Family, but many of those Heirs were still at Hogwarts, so there was little work for them to do. So with their masters and mistresses' permission, they were set to work sorting and cataloguing the contents of the Room of Requirements.

Any Family Heirlooms discovered were returned to their families' Gringotts vaults, along with any other items of value whose rightful owners could be identified.

Broken items that weren't worth repairing and other items that were unquestionably junk were vanished. Most of the millennia of erotica they found got that fate, over Sirius' objections that it was historical.

Hundreds of brooms were also discovered in the room, and most of them were in good enough shape to be worth sending off to have the charms reapplied so that they could be used to replace Hogwarts' dangerous and faulty old school brooms. The Hogwarts Board, Broom Instructor and House Mistresses and Masters fought with Dumbledore several times a year over the fact that the school brooms were dangerous and needed to be replaced, but he always put them off with the argument that there was no money for that, and found some way to divert the money when the Board did allocate funds to replace them. The ones who knew that replacements would be coming soon were laughing at what Dumbledore's reaction was going to be when all the old school brooms were thrown into a bonfire, but they knew that they couldn't make their move until Minerva had enough authority to stop him selling off the replacement brooms to buy more trinkets for himself, so for now they were keeping it to a trickle of basic brooms being donated when their owners upgraded to something better as that was believable.

Madam Hooch, the Broom Instructor, was gleeful at the thought of having hundreds of brooms from beginners' training brooms up to high end racing brooms at her disposal to properly teach the kids how to handle the types of brooms they were likely to come in contact with…. She was already working with Minerva on what they needed to set up Non-House Quidditch Competitions so that other kids could practice and play, hells, if there was enough interest, there was nothing to stop them adding extra Quidditch pitches for unofficial games, the grounds and the rings didn't cost much, for that matter they could use an extra pitch for the House teams' practice.

She was also working on the materials for a class where she would use working brooms from over the centuries to teach those who were interested how brooms had developed over time, and why they branched out into different areas. At Minerva's suggestion, she added flying carpets and boats to what she was putting together to turn the class into the History of Magical Flight… She smiled to herself at the thought of those stupid laws making flying carpets and such illegal being ripped to shreds when people saw how much better they were for families and discovered that it was the broom companies who paid to get them banned.

Aside from the Heirlooms, junk and brooms, there were mountains of books, clothes, furniture, weapons…. Muggle Weapons Training and Fencing had been part of the Hogwarts curriculum up until the late Nineteenth Century…. And a fortune in money and jewellery.

There was also quite a lot of cursed objects, but like what was coming out of the Black Townhouse, they had to be examined to determine whether they were Heirlooms or items of historical significance or value before they were vanished.

The item they were looking for, and found a few months after they started, was one of these cursed objects. This was Rowena Ravenclaw's fabled enchanted Diadem, which Riddle had managed to locate and turn into a cursed object like the others. As they had no way of knowing whether removing his soul magic from the objects, destroying them or bringing them together would cause a reaction that resulted in them losing track of the item they were confident was in Lucius Malfoy's possession, the four that they'd recovered so far were hidden away in separate vaults under Gringotts, waiting for when the fifth was acquired. Meanwhile, the Elfs kept working on cleaning out the Room of Requirements and the rest of them got on with their own jobs…. Which for the kids was mostly playing in the sand and water on their tropical island hideaway.

Jareth sent his curse breakers into Malfoy Manor as soon as the Malfoys were judged by the Stone of Truth, and Amelia sent some of her trusted Aurors with them so that if any solid evidence about others' involvement in his crimes was found, Malfoy's Death Eater friends wouldn't get off on a technicality like they always had before. They found Riddle's diary in a hidden dungeon, along with enough forbidden dark objects to have sent him to Azkaban for centuries if he didn't have people blocking that, and evidence of hundreds of Muggles, Witches and Wizards, many of them no more than children, having been raped, tortured and murdered down there. There were scores of ghosts in the dungeon, because they couldn't break free of the place where they'd been so brutally abused and murdered.

Amelia came (as Regent Bones) to bond the Malfoy Elfs to the House of Bones, as they'd been forfeited to the House of Bones as Lucius had been proven to be one of the Death Eaters who attacked her brother's family and killed all but her niece Susan, all but one excitable young Elf called Dobby who couldn't stop going on about the Great Harry Potter. Amelia had one of Jareth's advisors take Dobby through to Isla Negra, and none of them were very surprised when the Goblin returned less than ten minutes later to announce with a wicked grin that Dobby the Elf had bonded with Lord Potter.

What to do about Malfoy Manor was a problem, it had been reclaimed by Arcturus when he cast Narcissa from the family and reclaimed everything rightfully belonging to the House of Black and then given to Andi when he allocated the Black Family Barony Narcissa was given when she was married to her, but the Malfoys had turned it into a house of horrors that tortured spirits were trapped in. Andi didn't want to have anything to do with it, so she was quite happy to agree with Arcturus' decision to have the Manor completely obliterated as soon as everything of value had been stripped out of it, and a new house built elsewhere on the Barony.

While all this was going on in Magical Britain, Harry and the other kids were playing in the sun. Dora and the adults managed to coach Harry to change his skin to be more suited to the tropics, and they had to keep casting sunscreen charms over the rest of the kids, but no-one wanted to go back to dreary old Britain. They were learning about the Magical World and how to behave in Wizarding Society (far more than their peers in the Pure-Blood Houses back in Britain were learning), and the Mundane World and how to behave in it, but most of their time was spent playing. While Harry had received the most magic and knowledge from his parents, grandparents and Voldemort, Susan had gotten her parents' and some of her godparents' magic and knowledge when the Death Eaters killed them, and Neville, Luna, Daphne and Astoria had had some of their godparents who took part in the protection ritual killed too, so Draco was the only one who wasn't developing faster than 'normal' children intellectually, magically and physically, and they were encouraging and helping him to keep up with them.

The mundane birth records created for them had them most a couple of years older (2 ½ for Luna and a bit over 3 for Astoria so that they'd be in the same school year as the others), so they started being home schooled for their Mundane education when most of them were three. Even though they all started together, Harry, Luna, Daphne and Astoria soon left the others behind because they had inherited their Mums' brilliance and perfect memories, their Dads were smarter than the average bear too (they knew Yogi Bear from the American cartoons), but their Mums were the Unspeakable geniuses.

Starting early and getting intensive home schooling meant that Harry, Luna, Daphne and Astoria had their 'A' Levels, along with in depth training in Magical Customs and History and had passed the exams to show that they had completed the first two years of their formal Magic training with flying colours when they returned to Britain in 1991, and Neville, Susan and Draco were much the same, aside from having their 'O' Levels instead of their 'A' Levels.

Their return to Magical Britain was moved forward four or five months by Grandad Arcturus' passing in March 1991, because Sirius had to take up his role as Head of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, which also elevated Harry to Heir Apparent of the House of Black.

The reason that they were willing to have the children return to Magical Britain was that considerable changes had been made there over the eight and a half years since Sirius was officially cleared…. Most of the discriminatory laws favouring the Pure-Bloods had been repealed and Amelia had been given the authority and funding to go after the left overs of Voldemort's Army. The Death Eaters in Azkaban were retried without the discriminatory laws protecting them and most of them were put through the Veil of Death when their crimes were exposed. Fenrir Greyback and the other feral werewolves were hunted down and killed and measures were put in place for the responsible werewolves to protect them and others from their affliction on the full moon.

The Ministry was restructured to prevent Dark Witches and Wizards and other Pure-Blood Supremacists twisting the system by using key parts of the infrastructure like the Floo Network Authority and Improper Use of Magic Office to target Muggle-Borns and others who opposed their cause, the case of Delores Umbridge was a prime example of this. Umbridge was particularly foul piece of work who was a rabid Pure-Blood propaganda supporter and used information she'd learned working in the Improper Use of Magic Office to betray many Muggle-Born and their families to their deaths by feeding it to the Death Eaters in the war and afterwards, even though her own mother was a Muggle. She was tried for her crimes and sent through the Veil of Death, putting the other Voldemort supporters on notice that you didn't need to have a Dark Mark to be punished for your crimes.

The Wizengamot reminded the Ministry of Magic that they were in fact nothing more than an administrative body of the Wizengamot and started enforcing the Ministry's official hiring, firing and promotion regulations, though the traditional practice of 'buying a commission' to get senior roles when they become vacant still hadn't been stamped out. Jareth was a little miffed about this actually, because more of the cream of the Muggle-Born and Muggle-Raised were getting jobs in the Ministry and remaining in Magical Britain, whereas the vast majority of them had been joining the Human and Fae Magical enterprises in the Mundane World up to that point.

Of course, centuries of ingrained attitudes and prejudice didn't change overnight and most of the 'Pure-Bloods' still believed themselves to be better than anyone else. Minerva had spearheaded changes at Hogwarts to improve the quality of education and ensure that what the students were taught about the Wizarding and Mundane Worlds was mostly the truth, but they were constantly up against Pure-Blood attitudes and prejudices that the students learned from their parents….

The fact that Albus Bloody Dumbledore was still there, trying to indoctrinate the coming generations with his 'Leader of the Light' bullshit didn't help either. The Sheeple still wouldn't let them get rid of him, so all Minerva and the others could do was keep a close eye on him and hope that they could catch him doing something that Amelia could throw him into Azkaban for.

A/N: OK, it looks like I need to clarify a few things for some people who seem to be reading something other than what I've written. Harry and the others are still children, albeit more advanced than most children their age…. And will grow and develop as 'normal' kids do, though they'll be happier growing up with friends in a tropical paradise rather than dreary old Britain like they did in the books. The majority of the Pure-Bloods in Magical Britain still have much of the wealth and influence that they had in JKR's stories, only the worst of them have been defanged and/or removed and they've just lost the ability to dictate anything they want in the Wizengamot, which in turn reduces their ability to lord it over everyone else. Dumbledork is still there, he's just lost his political positions and power and most of his ill-gotten gains and is being made accountable for his actions. Hey, I'm even giving Draco a chance to grow up on a tropical island with the future power brokers of Magical Britain as a real boy rather than his father's mindless and spineless puppet…. Nah, Draconus Pinocchio Rosier just doesn't sound right.

As for the claim that I killed off Moody and Moony and brought them back as totally different characters… Umm… What?

Moody is still the grumpy, paranoid old bastard we all know and sorta love. He has an improved magical eye, his body has been reconstructed so that it's whole again and his face no longer scares small children, and the mind magic manipulations which made him trust the other old bastard have been broken and removed. His penchant to call a spade a bloody shovel and willingness to hex anyone he thinks is acting suspiciously has not changed, which is why they asked him to help protect Harry and the other kids.

Moony no longer uses the name Wolfy McWolf (seriously, Remus Lupin has to be the most stupid name in the whole series) and he's willingly undergone a life threatening treatment to free himself of the affliction of being a werewolf. In this world, Lily and others managed to break through Dumbledore's brainwashing and made him see the Old Goat Molester for what he really was, help him quietly change his name back, get apprenticeships and gain his Masteries on the Continent after Hogwarts while he was supposedly wasting his time and risking his life trying to get the werewolf packs to change sides without really offering them anything to get them to agree. So yeah, Moony has changed a little more, he's taken his true name back, grown more backbone, gotten free of Lycanthropy and earned a few Masteries since he left Hogwarts so Moony the Smart Marauder hasn't died off like he did in the books. FYI, he has also taken up the role of Steward for the House of Black and Its Associated Houses, Clans and Families as he did in some of my and others' stories because that's a good job for the Smart Marauder IMHO.

NB: I know Xeno being Lucius' brother and the family having Veela connections has also been used before by myself and others, but there are marked similarities in the descriptions of them and Veela, so it works for me.

Sorry Billy Goat Gruff, but with the way the story's panning out, with the kids being home schooled on Isla Negra, I'm not sure the Harmony I promised you will really work. It's possible that I can find a way to work it in but at the moment, it looks as though Harry will be with Luna and Daphne.
