Olga is now incharge of her sisters and she promised her mother before she left and herself that she won't mess up. The sisters are at their bedroom with all of them in their night gowns.
"I don't get it. Why are we not aloud to come along?" Asked Anastasia.
"What if theirs a reason? Maybe..." Explained Maria then she makes a sign with her finger slid her neck.
"Oh please, like they have a reason to execute us." Anastaisa Retorted
"Were The Granduchesses. The four of us are a threat to the new Russian regime." Maria said
"How are we a threat when theirs litterally no throne to claim in the first place? The Bolsheviks already overthrown the monarchy and plus we got nothing to do with our father's poor handling of the Empire. Executing us will just be cold blood murder." Anastaisa said
"Did your forgot about the white army? If they win, Its either the monarchy will be restored or they'll form a representative republic like the one in the United States." Said Tatiana
Olga enters the room.
"What are you girls talking about?" Asked Olga
"Nothing special." Tatiana Replied
"Well, lets all get some shut eye. We'll have a busy day tomorrow. Goodnight sisters." Olga said as she walks and lies on her bed.
"Goodnight." The other 3 sisters replied. Maria blows out the candle and everything went dark.
A dark void, desolate and leads to nowhere, just then a voice echos in the void then the void opens up revealing Tatiana.
"Maria, get up." Tatiana ordered as she gently shakes her sister on the shoulder.
Maria rise up from her cot looking all tired with her hair being shaggy.
"Hey Tatiana, what time is it?" Maria humbly asked
"Its midnight and you have to get up and get dressed." Tatiana said
"Why?" Maria Asked
"We are to be moved to a safer location." Tatiana Explained
"What? But din't we just moved here?" Maria Replied confeused
"What are you talking about? We've been in the Ipatiev house for so long." Tatiana said
"The Ipatiev!?" Maria exclaimed
"Are you alright Mashka?" Asked Tatiana concerned
"Uh... yeah sure..." Maria replied
Maria soon got dressed to her simple maids clothes
And fixes her hair then she bumped into Alexie and he fell to the ground.
"Alexie! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Maria cried and help her brother stand up. "Im so sorry I did not mean do that!"
Alexie is suffering from hemophilia, a genetic disorder where blood dosent clot normally, even the slightest bump or scratch can make him bleed intensely.
"Its alright Maria, its not the first time." Said Alexie
"But still you could've..." Maria decided not to finish her sentenced
"Come now children, no time to waste!"Nicholas said at otherside of the room.
The family and their staff are escorted downstairs, outside, and then to the basement of the Ipatiev house. Yurovsky tells the family to position up for a group photograph then he leaves them in the room. The silence that followed is quite oblivious.
"Whats the date?" Maria asked Anastasia
"July 16, 1918. According to Lenin's calendar off course." Anastaisa replied
Yurovsky came back with 11 other men to the room. The family kinda find it odd for a photo secion or so they thought. Yurovsky picks out a peice of paper from his pocket and reads it.
"In view of the fact that your relatives continue to their attack on Soviet Russia... The Ural Executive Committee has decided... to execute you." Yurovsky read.
"What!? What!?" Nicholas replied with shock
Yurovsky and the other men pulls out their guns and pulls the trigers. Maria rise up from her bed panting in horror, shes glad its all a nightmare, she looks at her right at Olga and Tatiana then looks at her left at Anastaisa and picks out the calender she carried with her then checked the date. Its all marked up to july 18, then looking at the clock; its mid night then, she crosses out july 18.
The morning on the new day of the 19th, the sisters are in the dinning room eating their breakfast of bread and butter and water. Anastasia is reading outloud a newspaper article she have collected.
"Just then when the men were about to turn back, a bomb detonated which the intense force of the explosion killed both Soviet men as if like they're shot at the head with no bullet penetrating their skull. This could be a sign from the white Army." Anastaisa read.
"Good lord, how awful." Tatiana replied with shock and sympathy.
"And thats not it. One family was reported to have went missing since yesterday. The last time they're seen they're somewhere in Yekaterinburg." Anastaisa said
"Maria, anything alright? You haven't eaten." Tatiana asked
Maria turns to Tatiana. "Nothing Tatya, i just had a nightmare last night. And im not willingly to talk about it." Maria said with a stern look.
"Anyways I have to bake bread, we recently ran out." Olga said
"Do you want me to help you out?" Tatiana asked.
"Yes please, i could use some help." Olga Replied
Just then a familiar looking man enters the dining room doorway with a basket on his hand. Its Yurovsky.
"Well hello." Yurovsky greeted the sisters and non of them replied.
"If its alright to say that im apponted to be the director of this household as your current one is being way too soft to you." Yurovsky said. " I have presents from your servants and... your... father." Yurovsky continues then he put the basket to the ground and left.
"I don't trust that man." Maria said suspiciously.
"Why don't we lighten up this table up a bit and see what awaits in that basket." Said Anastasia gleefully and she carried the basket back to the table.
Yurovsky is in a room with one of the guards.
"So... you're new?" Yurovsky asked
"Yes sir." The guard replied
"Name?" Yurovsky asked
"Dimitri Ivanov. But you can call me Diggie." Dimitri replied
"I'll stick with Dimitri." Yurovsky Replied
"I heared you're the man who exterminated the Tsar and the Tsarevich. How did they die?" Dimitri asked
Maria is hiding on the right of the door way that leads to the room, listening.
"The Tsar died instantly, The Tsarevich survived the shooting because he had jewls beneath his clothes, so I finished him with a blow on the head." Yurovsky Explained.
Maria is shocked by what she just heared with her hand covering her mouth.
"We then dretch their bodies with sulfuric acid, burn them with fire, and crushed their faces with rifles so they won't be recognized by anyone who will find them." Yurovsky continued
Dimitir though it was awful but as a communist, he knew it has to be done.
"Well, I won't trouble you again, good day kid." Yurovsky said to Dimitri as he leaves the room not noticing Maria as he went the opposite direction from where She is standing. Maria couldn't comprehend what she just heared and she began shedding tears.
Anastasia is choping wood outside on the blazing hot sun without a hat on, then Olga came by.
"Anastasia! Its hot out here and you're choping wood!?" Olga yelled from the distance
"Were gona need some for the fire place!" Anastaisa yelled back
"I don't want you to get a heat stroke!" Olga yelled as she walks to her little sister.
"Anastasia dosent get a heat stroke!" Anastaisa said
"Come on, lets go inside." Olga said as she put her hands on Anastaisa's shoulders and leads her back inside.
"Whats all the yelling?" Tatiana asked as she passed and stopped by with the laundry.
"Anastasia is choping on the blazing hot day outside." Olga Explained
"Oh my goodness, good thing Olga came in time. If not you could've had a heat stroke from too much exposure on the intense heat." Tatiana Replied
"Where did you two get this information from?" Anastaisa asked
"Me and Tatiana were nurses in the Russian front remember?" Olga said.
"Ah..." Anastasia replied.
"Don't ever go out on-a very hot day." Tatiana said to Anastaisa.
"I'll wear a hat next time." Anastaisa Replied
"Even if you have a hat on you still can get a heat stroke." Tatiana said sternly.
"Ok governess." Anastaisa replied annoyed
"Were just doing this because we love you and we want you to have a long life." Olga Replied
"Well thanks anyway." Anastaisa said in a annoyed tone then she walks away.
"What am I going to do with her?" Olga thought.
"She'll change. Eventually." Tatiana said.
