Three days have passed since Ray convinced Lynn that they were not enemies. Lynn accepted the offer to live with Ray until they find a way to get Lynn back home, and thankfully, Jaden didn´t mind it at all, and he even bought their story about having the same face by chance. Lynn also apologized to Raleigh for her being so rude and was relieved when Raleigh accepted it with a smile. The three teens are still trying to find out why all of this is happening. They even decided to explain the whole situation to Veracity and Danny but only on the condition that they won´t tell it to anyone. Now as a team those five try to find a way to bring Lynn home and also solve this whole mess. But all of them are unaware of the danger that lies hidden outside their world(s).

Episode 7. The unknown Treat
You Show Duel School, inside the Duel room
Ray had her duel disk activated and controlled her Spirit The Pendulum Wolf. She was dueling Lynn on a water like Action Field. Both girls were on a separate island. Lynn had her duel disk on with Widwitch-Ice Bell out.
"Take this Lynn ! Go Spirit !" Ray yelled and her monster went to attack.
"I respond with with my Trap." Lynn said and her face down Trap card flipped up. However, Lynn then looked down at the floor, depressed. Ray noticed this and took her deck out of her duel disk, stopping her attack and the Duel. The Action Field faded away as Lynn looked at Ray with confusion. "Why do that ?"
"What´s wrong ? Are you missing home again ?" Ray asked.
"Yeah, I´m sorry. I just can´t stop thinking about Ryan and my home world." Lynn said. Ray nodded, understanding. She placed her right hand on Lynn´s shoulder. Both girls then walked out of the Duel room and down into the seating area of the school´s hallway. They sat down and saw Jaden run into the school. "Girls !" He shouted.
"What is it ?" Ray asked. As Jaden got closer, they could see he was holding a white envelope. "This came in the mail." He handed Ray the letter who read it out loud.
"Dear Duel Schools,
We are writing this letter to you to invite your students to participate in the upcoming duelig tournament, The Duel-World Championship ! This tournament will see different Duel Schools from around the world arrive into Paradise City and compete. Different schools with different styles of Action Duels. This will be the greatest event in dueling history.
Teams of three will be required. This will be a chance to prove your Duel School as well as your Action Dueling style. A detailed explination will be shown on television on the evening of the date writen below.
We look forward to seeing you duel, and we wish all teams the best of luck."
CEO of the Duel association
Ray´s eyes scanned down towards the date at the bottom of the letter. "The TV interview is on the first of July..which is today."
"It´s finally time. And since Veracity and Danny are not old enough yet..." Jaden turned to the girls. "You three will be a team. You, Lynn and Raleigh." He told his sister.
Lynn looked at Ray with anger which made Ray wince. Ray looked back at her brother. "Jaden...maybe you´re a bit to fast right now."
Jaden raised an eyebrow. "But I thought you brought her here for the tournament so that we have a full team ?" Ray couldn´t answer as she heard the door of the school´s classroom being slammed shut. "Did I say something wrong ?" Jaden asked.
"No. You just made me the bad person once more." Ray said with a sigh afterwards. She then went upstairs towards the classroom. Ray opened the door and saw Lynn sitting at a table at the windows, looking out of them. "I´m sorry, Lynn. How should my brother know that..."
"A tournament ?! Is this your way of solving things ?!" Lynn yelled back.
"Of course not ! And I didn´t brought you here because of it ! I brought you here so you´re save until I can get you back home !" Ray walked a bit closer to Lynn. "I want to take part at this tournament so I can help my brother. I owe him so much. Thanks to him I am where I am now."
Lynn looked to the side. "You promised..."
Ray laid her hand on Lynn´s. "And I will keep my promise. But I also want to keep my promise towards my brother."
"Is it that much important for you ?" Lynn asked.
"It is the best chance I have to prove my school and its dueling style. I want to show people what it is like to duel side by side with your friends and Duel monsters." Ray said with a smile before looking at her deck with the top card being her Lightning Mage.
"But aren´t Duel monsters just holografic creatures ?" Lynn said, feeling a bit curious now.
"Well for us from You Show they are more than that, especially for me and Raleigh. We can´t explain why. It´s just a feeling inside us." Ray replied before she went back to the door. "Another reason why I want to duel in this tournament is that I search for a strong openent. The two times when I created the Pendulum Gateway was when I got into a thight situation in a Duel. So maybe if I duel a strong enough opponent, then maybe I have to get at or over my limits. And maybe like this I can create the Gateway once more." Ray looked over her shoulder at Lynn. "I will defently keep my promise to you. I just ask you to trust me a bit and be patient." Ray smiled one last time before leaving the room. Lynn just stood there for a moment. She then took out her deck and looked at her ace monster, Yin-Yang Widwitch Girl. ("Fate rather then chance huh...?") She thought before looking out of the window once more.
Somewhere Unknown
Somewhere far out in the ocean lies an island which seemed to be as big as half of a continent. The front of the island is a normal modern city whilst the middle part is mostly covered with a forest. In the very back part of the island is a huge mountain, and on top of the mountain was a large building who seemed to look like a school...
Inside a giant red throne room...
A man was sitting on the throne. He wears a long red coat and a black proffesional suit underneath. He has short spiky white hair, a very thin white goatee and brown eyes. Kneeling in front of the man was another man with spiky purple hair, yellow eyes, wearing normal clothes and a white lab coat.
"How is it going, Professor ?" The man on the throne asked.
"Everything is going fine so far, Sir. The students are improving more and more and I can say most of them are ready to fight at any time." Replied the man in the lab coat as he looked up.
"Very well. I expect you and the others to continue with this. The time for us to strike is coming nearer with every day that passes."
The man in the lab coat bowed his head once more. "Of course, Sir. Is there anything else I can do for you ?" The man on the throne nodded. "Yes. Send our keys to me."
At the left bottom of the mountain was another building which looks like the dormitory for the school´s students. Standing on a balcony of one of the rooms was a teenage girl. She has hip-lenght blonde hair with small part of it bond into a side ponytail on the right side, the rest of he hair is open and a prurple strand goes through her hair on the right side. She wears a red jacket, a broad grey skirt, a black vest that is half unzipped over a white shirt, short black and red boots, and on her right wrist a silver bracelet with a purple jewel in the centre. She has the same face as Ray but with red eyes. On her left arm is a yellow duel disk.
"What are you doing ?" A male voice asked. The girl turned around and saw a boy the same age as her walking up to her. He has spiky yellow-blonde hair and blue eyes. He wears a crimson red headband, a short sleeved hooded black sweater, long dark grey pants and black sneakers. On his left arm he wears a crimson red duel disk.
"I was just thinking, that´s all." The girl answered. "Why are you here for ?"
"The master wants to see us." The boy replied.
A little bit later in the throne room
The two teens were kneeling in front of the man on the throne.
"What can we do for you, master ?" The boy asked.
"Ren...Selena... I have an important mission for you so listen closly." The man said and then stood up. "To finally achieve our dream of creating a perfect world we need to find your lost siblings who are scattered in the other four worlds. But sadly there is no direct way that leads into these worlds. However, about one month ago our scanners detected an to us unknown energy, and that energy was able to open four gates with each leading to one of the other worlds, if only for a moment. But we managed to gather a bit of that energy, actually just enough to open a portal to one of those four worlds. But if we manage to gather more of this energy then maybe we can create more portals. And that is the reason why I will use that bit of energy we gathered to send you two to the "Standard World". It´s the world where the energy came from. Your mission is to find the source of this energy, as well as your siblings who live there. Did you two understood everything ?"
"Yes, Master !" Both teens replied, their loyality completly visible.
"Good. Then I will see the two of you tomorrow night at the docks. Dismissed !" The man sat back down on his throne and both teens stood up. They bowed one last time before leaving the throne room.
"So, it´s finally starting." Ren said while he and Selena walked through a hallway.
"Yes. And I think we should train a bit more before we leave. We don´t know how strong the people of this world are. Especially our siblings." Selena said.
"I agree. But I will be the strongest anyway." Ren said with a grin. Selena stopped ans sighed before a small smile came to her face. ("Maybe he hasn´t changed completly.")
Paradise City, You Show Duel School
Ray, Veracity and Danny were sitting on the couch in the entrance hallway. Veracity was typing away on her Laptop. "According to the rules you can also take part at the tournament as a two-man-team. But only if you have a good reason."
Ray sighed. "I guess we have to find a good explenation then."
Danny crossed his arms. "But the problem isn´t solved with this. It only will be harder for you and Raleigh."
"I know but I won´t force Lynn into this. Not under this condition. We just have to do our best and then I´m sure it will go well." Ray said.
"Alright. Then I will register you and Raleigh as a two-man-team for the qualification round." Veracity was about to push the "Enter" button as a voice stopped her.
"No. We´re a three-man-team !" Lynn said as she walked up to them.
"Are you really sure ?" Ray asked concerned but Lynn smiled back. "Yes, I am. See it as a thank you. And besides that, just sitting around here won´t help that much either."
"That´s nice to hear, Lynn." Raleigh said as he and his sister joined them. However, Ray quickly turned nervous. "Raleigh, you idiot !"
"Huh ?! What did I do this time ?!" Raleigh asked back.
Veracity and Danny face-palmed. ("Oh my...") They both thought.
"Um Raleigh...I don´t think your sister...knows Lynn yet..." Ray said nervous. Raleigh looked at her before he got it. ("Oh shit !") He cursed inside his head. He looked nervous at his sister who kept looking at Lynn and Ray.
"You two...look similar..." Stacey said. Ray and the others looked terrified. "What a weird coincidence !" Stacey smiled before she left upstairs for her office. The teens all sighed in relief.
"Okay...then I will register you three as a team." Veracity said sowly before typing away on her laptop again.
Ray watched her and then felt someone tipp on her shoulder. "What is it, Lynn ?"
"Umm...I wanted to ask you if you could teach me how I can interact more with my monsters ?" Lynn asked, a bit shyly. Ray smiled. "Sure. Let´s go into the Duel room."
In the school´s Duel room
"I will be your opponent. Is that okay for you ?" Raleigh asked.
"It´s okay. Even though today is the first time I duel in an Action Field." Lynn said, feeling a bit unsure. "By the way, what actually is an Action Field ?"
"In our world we have a type of dueling which is called "Action Duel". An Action Duel occurs with the help of tangible holograms or how we call it "Real Solid Vision". This Real Solid Vision surrounds the entiere field and the Duel takes place in the complete area. And unlike in a normal Duel, Duel monsters are real enough to ride on them. They can also respond to you by nodding their heads or with roaring. Action Fields have numerous different desinges. They can be a city, a jungle, a mountain terrain, an island and so go on. Special cards, the "Action Cards" are the heart of an Action Duel. They are scattered around the field and each player can search for them at any time. When you find one you can keep it in hand for a later use, or you activate it right away just like a Quick-Play Spell. But be carefull. There can also be Traps among them which would give you some trouble." Raleigh explained.
Lynn nodded. "Okay. I think I got it. Let´s start the Duel."
Both teens gave some space between them and Ray stood by Lynn to help her out if needed. Lynn and Raleigh activated their duel disks. Ray took out her smartphone and with it activated the school´s Real Solid Vision system. "I choose the Action Field, "Crossover"." The room changed into a city and blue platforms appeared all around the field in different hights. A golden sphere of cards appeared in the sky. It then shattered, scattering the Action Cards.
"Duel !" Lynn and Raleigh said together.

"I shall start by setting my Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician !" Raleigh slammed both cards on his duel disk and the rainbow word "PENDULUM" appeared on the blade. Two Macicians rose up in a beacon of light. In the right one a white and purple dressed magician, holding a magic staff, and in the left one a black cloaked magician. The numbers one and eight appeared under them.

"Pendulum Summon ! Appear my Odd-Eyes !" A red beam shot down and the mighty red Dragon appeared. He let out a loud roar.

"Next I play the Spell Tuner´s High ! I send a monster from my hand to my graveyard, then I can special summon one Tuner monster with the same original type and attribute from my deck but it must be one level higher then the discarded monster." Lynn took a card from her hand and placed it in the slot of the graveyard on her duel dsik. "I send level two Windwitch-Flake Bell to my graveyard and now appear from my deck, Windwitch-Glacier Bell !" A pink haired female who wore a white witch dress came to the field. She was riding a dark blue broom. Windwitch-Glacier Bell ATK/500 DEF/300 Wind/Spellcaster/Tuner/Lv. 3
Lynn smirked. "Since you already brought out your ace, I´m going to bring out mine as well. I tune Polar Fox with Glacier Bell ! Synchro Summon ! Appear Yin-Yang Windwitch Girl !" A bright white light flashed and Lynn´s Synchro ace appeared in attack mode.

"A Synchro monster which was Synchro summoned with Glacier Bell gains 300 attack !" Lynn said and Windwitch Girl glowed. Windwitch Girl ATK/2800
"I use her effect to inlfict damage to you equal to the level of a windwitch monster in my graveyard X200 ! I choose level four Polar Fox which means 800 damage for you !" A white magic circle formed in front of Lynn´s monster and a blast of wind shoot out towards Raleigh.
Raleigh only smiled at this. "Alright. Then let me show you how an Action Duel works !" He started jumping up three platforms and found an Action Card. He played it. "I play the Action Card, Effect Banish !"
"A bit of luck is also part of skill." Ray said. "Effect Banish negates all effect damage this turn." The blast faded away before it could hit Raleigh.
"Then see if you can escape this ! Go Windwitch Girl ! Attack Raleigh´s Odd-Eyes !" Lynn shouted and the female monster shot forward at the Dragon. Raleigh looked around and saw another Action Card on one of the higher platforms. Being used to duel on an Action Field, Raleigh could easylie reach the card. "I play Evasion and negate your attack !"
Windwitch Girl was forced to stop and return to Lynn´s field. Lynn smiled. "Not bad. Action Duels are cool no doubt. I end my turn with a set card."

"Then I´m up. Draw !" Raleigh placed the drawn card in his hand and then looked down at his Dragon. "Hey Odd-Eyes." The Dragon walked over to him and stopped under him. Raleigh jumped down from the platform and laded on his dragon´s back.
"I activate the Equip Spell Dragon Nails to give Odd-Eyes a power boost of 700 !" Odd-Eyes claws started to glow and became longer. Odd-Eyes ATK/3200
"Now attack, Odd-Eyes ! Spiral Flame Strike !" Odd-Eyes with Raleigh on his back jumped up and unleashed a large dark beam from its mouth. Lynn looked around and saw an Action Card on a rather high platform. She bit her lip. She was unsure. "I counter with my Trap, Defence Draw ! I negate your attack and draw a card !" Lynn said and the dark beam vanished inches before Windwitch Girl. Lynn drew a card. Odd-Eyes landed back on the ground and Raleigh jumped of him. He patted the Dragon´s head. "We´ll get them next turn."

"I draw !" Lynn then looked up at the Action Card she saw. "I need to grab one but I don´t know if I can..." She mumbled.
"If you don´t want to go for the higher ones yet then try to find the ones on the ground. They are rarear to find on the ground in such an Action Field but it´s not impossible." Ray explained.
"Or you try and let your monster transport you to one of the higher ups." Raleigh added.
"Easier said then done. I don´t really have monsters you can actually ride on." Lynn said.
"There are more ways then riding on the back of your monsters. When the time comes your monsters will respond to you and you will know how to react to it." Ray said with a smile.
"Respond to me...how ?" Lynn asked confused. Ray only winked at her. "You´ll see."
Lynn sighed. "You two are not going to make this easy for me are you ?"
"No." Both Raleigh and Ray said while laughing a bit.
"I summon Windwitch-Ice Bell." The monster came flying onto the field on her blue broom. Windwitch-Ice Bell ATK/1000 DEF/1000 Wind/Spellcaster/Lv. 3
"When summoned you take 500 points of damage." Raleigh was hit by the cold blast of wind that came from the witch´s wand. Raleigh LP 4000 (-500) 3500
"I change my Windwitch Girl to defence mode and end my turn." Lynn said and a thin blue light surrounded her monster, showing the position change.

"My turn !" Raleigh looked at his drawn card and back at Lynn. "With my set Pendulum Scale I Pendulum Summon ! Come forth, Timebreaker Magician !" A blue portal opened in between the two light colums and a brown beam came shot out of it and onto the field. A boy with brownish green hair, dressed in a dark cloak and holding a sword in his hand apppeared.

"When Timebreaker is the only one Pendulum Summoned this turn...it doubles attack !"
"What ?" Said a surprised Lynn. Timebreaker Magician ATK/2800
"Timebreaker, whip out her Ice Bell !" Raleigh yelled. Lynn looked around and saw a Action Card on a green trashcan. She run over to it and took the card. "Um Ray...what is that ?"
Ray went over and winced the moment her eyes fell onto the card. "That´s an...Action Trap card. Lousy Luck. You take 800 points of damage."
"Seriously ?!" The card in Lynn´s hand shattered and she felt a burning pain. Lynn LP 4000 (-800) 3200 Lynn then felt an explosion next to her as Raleigh´s Magician destroyed her Ice Bell. The shockwave sent her backwards and landing on her back. She groaned as she slowly stood back up. Lynn LP 3200 (-1800) 1400 "That hurted quit a lot, even for a Duel."
"In an Action Field even the damage is realer." Ray said.
"Now Odd-Eyes, finish off Lynn´s Windwitch Girl !" Raleigh shouted and Odd-Eyes started to gather energy in his mouth. Lynn gritted her teeth and looked once more up at the blue platforms, then at her Windwitch Girl. She started to remember what Ray said to her earlier.
Flashback /
Ray smiled. "For us from You Show, especialy for me and Raleigh, Duel monsters are more then holografic creatures. We can´t explain why but it´s a great feeling."
Flashback end /
Lynn took a deep breath and then started to climb up the blue platforms. After three platforms she needed to jump onto others, but since she wasn´t used to dueling like this, she only could take a hold at the edge of each platform and needed to pull herself up onto it. And that took time, time she didn´t had. Odd-Eyes unleashed his energy beam just as Lynn had only to reach one more platform. "Come on !" Lynn jumped up and grabbed the edge of the highest platform. She extended her right arm and grabbed the Action Card. She smiled. "I did it !" She quickly pulled herself onto the platform and played the Action Card. "I play the Action Card Evasion to negate your attack !" Windwitch Girl was protected by a force field.
"Reall good, Lynn. But I have one more ace up my sleeve." Raleigh held up an Action Card. "I activate the Action Card Fire Gem and hit you with 600 damage."
"When did you grab that ?" Ray asked surprised. She didn´t noticed him going for one.
"I grabbed it while Lynn was buys climbing up the platforms." Raleigh replied. A fireball then came out of the Action Card and headed straight for Lynn.
Lynn had no chance to move and the fireball hit her and sent her falling down from the platform. Lynn LP 1400 (-600) 800
Raleigh and Ray´s eyes widened. "Lynn !"
Lynn closed her eyes and waited for the impact on the ground. But to her surprise, it never came. She opened her eyes and could see that her Windwitch Girl had caught her. Lynn couldn´t help but smile at this. ("Ray was right. My monster really responded to me by saving me. Maybe they are really more then just holograms.")
"Thanks Widwitch Girl." Lynn said. Windwitch Girl nodded before flying down and setting Lynn safly back down onto the ground.
Raleigh went over to her. "I´m sorry. I didn´t wanted that to happen. Are you okay ?"
Lynn smiled at him. "It´s okay. It gave me a good experience." She looked at Ray who smiled back.
Ray then felt her smartphone vibrate. She took it out and read the massage before looking at her friends. "How about we take a small break ? The TV news for the championship will start in a few minutes." Both Raleigh and Lynn nodded and the teenagers left the room after deactivating their duel disks and the Action Field.
The three walked downstairs into the hallway and to the seating area were the TV was. Veracity and Danny were waiting for them.
"Perfect timing." Veracity said and then looked up at the TV on the wall. The others did the same, feeling a bit tense. On the screen, a young man about nineteen years appeared.
" Hello Duel Schools and their students. My name is Shinja and I´m a top duelist who dueled in the last Duel-World-Championship. And as that I have the pleasure to introduce this year´s championchip. 25 teams have registered for the qualification round. In the next three days, each member of your school´s team must duel a student from another Duel School in a one VS. one. Your school must win three Duels to reach the next round. Each school will recive an E-Mail. In this is defined which student of your team will duel and where that Duel will take place. Also, your school is only allowed to lose one Duel. If you lose a second time then your school will be disqualified.
That´s everything. I wish all teams good luck. And now I have a little extra announcement of the CEO of Harper Futuristics. Here he is, Max Harper."
Shinja disappeared from the screen and Harper appeared.
" Hello Duelists and other fans. Since many years now, the Duel-World-Championship was always the biggest event in dueling history. Throughout this years it changed in many ways thanks to the development of Real Solid Vision and evolving normal Duels into Action Duels. But this year my school and maybe even others will evolve it once more...by using brand new Summoning methodes which will put Tribute Summoning into the shade !"
Ray and her friends looked shocked at this announcement.
"And now dear spectators I want to give a little glimpse of what will await the opponents of my school."
The screen changed to now showing an Action Field with a big grassy field and trees all around. In the middle of the field stood a young male, wearing the school uniform of Harper Futuristics Duel School. He already controled a little samurai monster with brown and black armour.
"Since I control a level 4 monster, I can special summon the Tuner monster Black Kirigami." A male monster appeared, wearing a red robe and holding a black sword.
"Now I tune my level four Little Samurai with my level two Black Kirigami ! I Synchro SUmmon !" The Synchro Summon occured and a large Samurai in black armour appeared, holding a sword in each hand. The boy from Harper Futuristics then grinned as he stood besides his Synchro monster. "Be prepared everyone ! We from Harper Futuristics will kick your buts and become number one in the world !"
With that the transmition ended and Shinja appeared once again. "Now that tournament promises to get a lot more exciting ! Let´s see who will win and become number one !" And with that ended the annoucment for the championship.
"Oh come on you gotta be kidding..." Raleigh moaned as he let himself slump onto the couch.
"I guess that´s what Harper meant when he said we weren´t the only ones that have gotten stronger." Ray said, crossing her arms.
"But how can that be ? I thought I´m the only one who is able to Synchro Summon in this world." Lynn added.
"I think I can explain that." Lynn and the others looked at Veracity who pointed form them to come over and watch something on her laptop. The laptop showed a picture of a grafic with six different colored lines.
"We now know that the strange phenomenon that happened after Ray´s Duel with Avery was The Pendulum Gateway. But something still gave me to think. And that was that bright light that shined over the whole city. I started to take some resarch and found something interesting. Acording to reports, that night, four huge different energy signatures extended over whole Paradise City. And one of those energy signatures resembles the energy that is released when you Synchro Summon. I could match it with the data I gained from Lynn when she Synchro Summoned, even though her released energy was many times stronger. And thanks to the data of the Xyz energy Ray´s Duel disk gathered when she dueled Amber, I could find a match with another of those four energy signatures."
"And all of this is responsible for that people now can use this new Summons ?" Danny asked.
"I guess it´s the same way as it was with Ray and Raleigh when they gained the Pendulum Summon. Those energies spreeded across the city, and the people who contain the potential to be able to use one of those four Summons must have had their decks changed by those energies to be able to use their respective Summon. Just like Ray and Raleigh´s decks changed to Pendulum monsters to be able to use the Pendulum Summon."
"Things have just gotten harder again." Raleigh said. He sighed before smiling a bit. "Well, what else is new." The others laughed a bit at his statement.
"Maybe it is harder now, but it also is a good way to find out more about the other Summons." Ray said.
"I still need a bit more of training in Action Dueling so why don´t we continue where we stopped erlier ? But this time I want Ray to be my opponent." Lynn said with a smirk.
Ray smirked back. "Sure thing. Let´s go then."
Back at the unknown island
Ren and Selena ( who look similar to Raleigh and Ray ) were standing at the city´s docks. Both wore a dark cloak with a hood over their normal clothes to hide their true identity. It was midnight and the docks were completly empty. In front of them stood their master. He handed Selena a card.
"This card contains the energy which will allow you to enter the other world. But be aware that it´s energy is only enough for one travel. Once your in the other world you can´t return until you find the source of the energy which is needed to travel between the worlds. Are you two ready ?"
"Yes, Master !" Both teens replied.
The man nodded. "Good. Then your mission starts now." Selena activated her duel disk which has a yellow and black holografic blade. She played the card and a multi-colored portal started to form before them. Once fully formed, both teens bowed to their master before walking into the portal. After that the portal disappeared again.
The man looked up at the sky. "Now I´m one step closer...to create a new world."
