An open distress call…sent by a Resistance agent.

"Captain Doza, look at this. It's coming from the Verkana System. Calls like this coded. Impossible to duplicate." Kaz couldn't keep his eyes off the coordinates.

Yeager said, "Count me in. Just give us one rotation. If we're not back in time, make the jump."

"We're going," Kaz confirmed. "Thanks again, Synara, for wanting to join."

"You always invite me along when there promises to be bodily harm," she told him.

"We don't want to attract any unwanted attention," Yeager cautioned.

"CB-23. Can we home in on the resistance signal?"

The droid knew what to do, as usual.

"I'm a master at keeping a low profile," Kaz assured.

Synara laughed, chiding Kaz. "Yes, that's easy to see."

Leaving the Colossus behind, the trio moved deeper into the rustic village. "Hey, you three aren't from around here. That's a fancy looking ball droid you've got there," the random stranger remarked.

"We don't want to buy anything. We're meeting a friend," Kaz said.

"CB, have you got a lock on that signal?" Yeager asked, out of earshot of the stranger. The droid did, and they ditched the unwelcome being, who was too interested in them.

They hid near a door, and Kaz said, "Hello?" They entered the containment room, ready for anything. The place was empty. "It wasn't stormtroopers. They would've left a garrison behind," Kaz noted. "I found it! There's a datarod attached. The guy we're looking for is Norad-Cad. He's tracking activity on the black market."

The mysterious bounty hunter, who'd eliminated the other spy earlier, cornered them in the containment room, threatening to blast Synara, Kaz and Yeager out of existence. He never lowered his blaster, kept brandishing his weapon more menacingly.

"Stop, I have a list of names here valuable to the First Order," Kaz shouted.

"Not my problem," the bounty hunter badgered.

Synara sprang into action, attacking the bounty hunter.

"We have to help Synara!" Kaz yelled.

She was holding her own, but the bounty hunter seemed to be winning until she knocked him off the terrace. During the fight, she'd been stunned several times, but shook her hurt off.

"Syn, are you hurt?" Kaz demanded, rushing to her.

"No, but that slimo got away," she complained.

"If Norad is alive, we can't leave," Kaz pointed out, his excitement running high.

"We need more time," Yeager emphasized.

"Trust us, Captain, we'll be back soon," Kaz told Doza, who was contacting them.

"Leeche must have sold Norad out," Synara thought aloud.

They caught up with Leeche, the annoying seller in the market, and Yeager asked, "Where'd you get all that money?"

Leeche wasn't giving up that information. He was as stubborn as his kind was.

"We're gonna do plenty about what you did. CB, make Leeche talk," Kaz ordered. "What did the bounty hunter do with Norad?"

Synara said, "You can stop now, CB."

The droid quit harassing Leeche.

"Why did you tell CB that, Syn?" Kaz asked, thoroughly surprised.

"Because it was annoying. We can't have you snitching to your friends about us," Synara said, frowning hard at Leeche.

"Kaz and I will sneak on the ship, looking for Norad." If the agent wasn't aboard, they had clearly missed their chance to secure valuable information.

"Okay, go," Synara said. She kept her eyes peeled for any hint of danger.

Aboard the ship, Yeager and Kaz looked around, not seeing anything at first, until they found Norad hiding. "It's okay, we're with the resistance," Kaz told him. They thought they were home safe until the ship's doors slammed shut, trapping them. Outside, Synara was alarmed. "Oh, no," she exclaimed.

Leeche felt his mission had been a failure since he had been foiled by the bounty hunter. At this moment the bounty hunter was sending the First Order the coordinates to apprehend Kaz and Yeager. Synara shot at the bounty hunter's ship, but she couldn't stop its departure.

"We have to figure out how to take his ship down," Kaz said.

"If it's one thing Kaz can do is bring down a ship," Yeager observed.

CB was getting fired, unable to detach from the power socket while attempting to bring down the bounty hunter. Synara had taken off after the bounty hunter anticipating his crash landing. Nearly fired, CB struggled to move, badly compromised.

"I can walk," Leeche claimed, but he couldn't.

The bounty hunter was after them, but Kaz attacked him from behind. The bounty hunter knocked Kaz out. "You are only making this harder for yourself."

Synara stormed back on the scene, gaining the upper hand over the bounty hunter. Yeager joined her, and they both battled.

"We need back up, Captain Doza," Kaz clamored.

"It's too late, Kaz, the First Order has already arrived."
