Pyre ordered that the captured Resistance fighters, Yaeger, CB and Synara be taken to the main hangar. "Move Resistance," the bounty hunter Ax said, "I have no more time for this." They had to be rescued from the First Order. Kaz knew the bounty hunter had put out that distress call to lure more Resistance agents.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Kaz said to Norath, the Resistance spy as they futilely snuck around. "Quick, let's move before we're spotted."
"If my men catch them first, you get nothing," First Order Commander Pyre, disgruntled as much as he was tired, vowed. Ax wasn't going to trick him even if Pyre was under duress. These were insane times.
Captain Doza demanded what was going on. The situation grew more critical. Hiding the Colossus in this mist was a temporary ruse. He knew the First Order could locate them; it was just a matter of time.
"A bounty hunter caught Yaeger, Synara and CB." Kaz still couldn't wrap his head around that.
"We may have to jump away from here," Doza said to safeguard all on board the Colossus. First Order destroyers threatened to detect their position.
Kaz said he had a plan, but he actually didn't. He would make one up as he went along. "I just need to think," he said to the anxious Resistance agent. "Do you think I'd get us into this mess without a plan?"
Nuroa wasn't inspired to put faith in Kaz's ability to save the day. The kid was eager, but bumbling.
Pyre bristled, intent on extracting the location of the Colossus from CB. Agent Tierney continued torturing Yaeger to get information from him while Kaz was still formulating a plan to save everyone. "That's the plan—stormtroopers. We ambush some, and steal their armor."
"What were you thinking, Kaz, we're definitely going to get caught!" his frightened companion exclaimed.
"I said open up!" one of the two stormtroopers demanded.
They overpowered both stormtroopers and disguised themselves. "We'll find them, get them out, and get to the Colossus," Kaz assured. "The hangar is this way…"
Tierney glared into Yaeger's face. "It's so sad. The rest of your pathetic crew will pay with their lives! It doesn't have to be this difficult."
Yaeger said to Synara, "I've been hurt worse."
She replied, "Tierney won't quit until she gets answers. How do we get out of here?" Synara suspected her torture was soon to follow.
"How many times have you done this before?" Kaz's companion asked, rattled.
"Don't worry. Be calm. We'll be in and out in no time. We've got this."
"I really hope so…" Nuroa griped.
As the First Order destroyer converged on the Colossus, it jumped into hyperspace. Kaz and his companion broke away from the squadron of stormtroopers, ran into Commander Pyre, and stunned him. CB escaped his captors to foil Tierney, slinging a cable and bashing into her. Kaz located Yaeger and Synara, and along with CB they fled. When Kaz attempted to contact the Colossus, there was no station to contact.
"If we stay here any longer, those troopers will find us," Synara advised.
They hurried aboard the bounty hunter's shuttle, and he ambushed them, but CB locked him into his own ship. Sadly, the bounty hunter escaped, and pinned them down. CB piloted the bounty hunter's shuttle, rammed into the bounty hunter, and they escaped in his shuttle. "Great job, CB!" Kaz praised. "That was amazing!"
"We have to make an emergency jump," Yeager alerted as the TIE's closed in.
"CB, find us someplace safe to go! Faster, CB, we won't last much longer."
"Hang on, Kaz." It was Torra ushering in their rescue by racers streaking towards them. But three squadrons were after the beat-up shuttle.
"Four-D, punch it!" Captain Doza hollered. The Colossus returned, picked up the escapees, and jumped to hyperspace.
"Neeku, I am not a stormtrooper." Kaz looked over to his fellow Colossus brethren and happily admitted, "I don't think I'm ready to leave here just yet, Nuroa. We're family. I'm all for the Resistance, but for now, I'm helping them behind the scenes. C'mon, let's go grab a drink at Aunt Z's. We've earned it."
