"Oh fruits, you have more?" Terra asked as they sit at the table with Kairi pouring more fruits into their bowls.
"Yes, here you go Terra," Kairi said as Terra sports a small smile.
"Thank you," Terra said to begin eating her breakfast.
"Where is Sora?" Riku asked.
"Cleaning himself up," Kairi said.
"After their little love trip," Prishe teased as Kairi's cheeks went red.
"I don't need to know their pillow talk," Riku said to eat his fruit salad to grab some milk from the fridge.
"Someone say my name," Sora said as he got into his magical gear to sit beside Kairi.
"We are getting breakfast started," Kairi said to sit down.
"So where is the master living in?" Sora asked.
"She lives on the outskirts of the main capital of the Dark Elves Umbra," Riku said as he checks his gloved hand to see his Esper Diablo feeling his power flowing through him. "The situation going on there, we need all the firepower we can managed," Riku said.
"Hey guys, you like my new outfit. Riku helped pick it out for me," Terra said to sport a red sleeveless dress with white tights underneath, red boots, and long red gloves along with her long mint green hair tied in a ponytail.
"You look pretty cute Terra," Kairi said.
"I agree," Ulmia said as Terra is blushing from their praise.
"Thank you, let's help the master and see how to destroy that black tower," Terra said as they soon arrive at Alfhelm.
They warp right outside to be within the forest just out the capital of Umbra. "Well this looks very interesting," Kairi said as the walls of the medieval style city is in the distance with black and silver stone walls.
"Come on, the Master is over here," Riku said as he leads them deep into the forest for them to see weird looking trees that have purple leaves.
"Very surreal," Kairi said as they see stretches of purple colored forest until they arrived at a strange tower that looks very bend and crooked. "This is where she lives?" Kairi asked.
"Well she likes her privacy and the people don't like her so much," Ulmia said.
"Why?" Kairi asked.
"They fear her because she has great powers they don't understand," Ulmia said.
"I see," Kairi said sounding sympathy for them to approach the door to see a magic runic on the wood for it disappears allowing them to get inside.
"Come inside, make yourselves at home," Umiko said as they go into a lobby is covered in books and other artifacts. "Sorry for the mess but I have been alive for a long time and things gets clustered over the years," her voice echoed throughout the tower for they go up a staircase to be within her private study.
"Madam, we have returned," Ulmia nods her head.
"We are back Mistress," Prishe said as they see a lone chair to spin around to meet eyes with Kairi.
"Hello there, we are able to finally to meet face to face my student," Umiko said as a beautiful Dark Elf appears sitting in her chair. She has rich chocolate skin, piercing red eyes, a youthful face, waist length white hair tied in a high ponytail, and standing 5'5 tall. She is wearing a red robe like dress that matches the color of her eyes and fits her curves well. She also has black slippers and black bridal style gloves.
"Wow master, you look so beautiful," Kairi said to admire the elder elf's beauty for Umiko's cheeks darkening from her praise.
"That is sweet for you to say. Everyone relax inside my home, Kairi I want to show you something," Umiko said as she takes Kairi to the back of the study to see a door. Umiko waves her hand which pulse with magical energy to unlock the door to see rows of books and other artifacts.
"What is this?" she asked.
"This place is where I do research on the age of fairy tales and the world it was once," Umiko said.
"So, you said you and your brother dreamed of wanting to reunite the worlds back to one world?" Kairi asked as she browses the sections.
"Yes, our master was talking about how the worlds were once one and under the light of Kingdom Hearts. A gift from the Goddess Cosmo before she disappeared into the ether but Keyblade wielders from the past gave into darkness and wanted it for themselves. The Keyblade war ruined it and scattered the one World into many by the light of children manage to put them in the state they are in today," Umiko said.
"You were trying to research how to put them back together," she said.
"Yes, it seems like Ragnarök is strong enough to do this but he seems so out of control. Its too risky, I was looking for other ways to do this," Umiko said.
"I see," Kairi said.
"Yes, and my brother wants to use him. I don't know that methods he has cooked up but his plans is not the way to revive the world back to the way it was before. Using the darkness and Heartless as tools to further his goals are not the way," Umiko said.
"I see, where did this obsession came from?" Kairi asked as she takes a seat on a comfy chair to adjust her pink sailor dress's skirt.
"It came from our time when we were in a forced labor camp," she said.
"You were slaves?" Kairi asked sounding empathetic.
"Yes, the Light Elves which who are our rivals manage to raid the village me, my brother and mother were living. It was burned to the ground and everyone left were sent into a labor camp to mine ore for their constant war against my people," Umiko said.
"That is awful, why do they hate you so much?" Kairi asked to sound in disbelief at this.
"It was due to a mutation that happened thousands of years ago where the Dark Elves became our own species. The Light Elves thought we were defects and begin to cast us out of elf society until we manage to form our own kingdom with Umbra as our capital. The Light Elves didn't like this and begin waging war for over a thousand years and millions had died on both sides," Umiko said.
"Wow, I didn't know. That is not fair, they hate you because you were different. That is overly cruel," Kairi said showing deep compassion for her master.
"Oh, that is not the worst part of it," Umiko sits onto her seat to look into Kairi's blue eyes filled with warmth and compassion. "Drake took a big hit to his mental state with the treatment against the Dark Elves and more importantly with our mother. It started on that faithful night that changed everything," she said in a tearful moan as that dark memory comes within her mind reliving it like it was yesterday.
-Flashback Begins-
There are dark clouds hanging over the landmass with the moon being blocked out for no moonlight touched the ground. A convoy of Dark Elves within Light Elf made trucks they stole to go in the dead of night trying to avoid Light Elf owned mercenaries as they trek through the tundra suffering hunger and cold.
A very young Drake and Umiko is within their mother's arms with their white hair and pointy ears hidden under thick blankets trying to stay warm. "Mom, I am so cold," Drake said shivering under her comforting grip.
"Don't worry Drake, we got a spare heater in the back. We should be warm enough for the trip," their mother said as the five truck convoy is heading down the snowy path with figures on a hill overlooking the trucks.
"We found them sir," a merc trooper said as the commander has a gleeful grin on his weathered face.
"Good, time to teach these freaks a lesson they will never forget," the Light Elf commander said as they storm down the hill with them rushing in with swords and guns with explosions rocking the area for the people were shaken within the trucks.
"Mom, what's going on outside," Umiko said as she looks up to see their mother has deep fear within her brown eyes as more explosions shaken the whole area.
"Light Elf guns for hire, they are going to kill us," Mother said as she looks outside to see the sheer carnage before her with a truck set on fire and innocent Dark Elves fleeing for their very lives to be easily cut down by the relentless merc soldiers.
Men, women and even children were slain like rabid dogs for an old man gets his head blown off by a shotgun with his neck slot exposed and blood spraying onto the snow. A woman is running away as a soldier cuts her in half with her organs splatters onto the white ground for it begins to redden with Dark Elven blood.
"Mom, what's happening?" Drake asked with his voice sounding anxious.
"We need to get out of here," Mother said as they go outside the truck with the Dark Elves getting killed in a very brutal and twisted ways. A small boy gets filled with lead as he presses against a truck with blood smeared onto the vehicle and on the snow. "Don't look," she said as the boy has a bloody hole in his forehead.
"Hey, we got a few who are escaping," the merc commander said as he fires his rifle to clip the mother's leg making her fall onto the snow with the kids right beside their wounded mother.
"Mom, mom get up. We need to go," Umiko said as she is struggling to get onto her feet with a group of soldiers are aiming their rifles and blades at the trio.
"Stay back," Drake said as he sees a fallen sword from one of the Dark Elf guards to hold it in his hands for its too big for him to wield.
"Oh; look at this guys, this kid thinks he is a soldier," the commander said in a mockingly tone as the other soldiers laugh at his pitiful combat stance.
"You monsters, I will make you pay," Drake said as his eyes were filled with sorrow and deep anger for the Light Elves who gutlessly killed Dark Elves like dumb animals even little kids without remorse.
"Drake," his mother and Umiko said as their mother comes in to pull them in a hug and shielding them from the violence with more people coming to their aid but easily getting wiped out.
"Please don't, leave the kids alone," a woman tried to block their way but get a bullet between the eyes to drop dead on the snow. Blood splashes onto mother's back for she falls on top of her son and daughter to protect them from the Light Elf merc troopers.
"Drake and Umiko listen to me, fate has chosen us this cruel path. I want you both to live for me and everyone who dead here to allow us to live within your thoughts. I love you two with all my heart," she said with tears coming down her face as her time has passed.
The commander pulls her long white hair dragging upright and thrust his blade into her throat with blood gushing onto the snow and Drake's face.
Drake's eyes wide in terror and hatred explodes within his heart which aches for his dying mother lying in her own pool of blood.
"Mom no," Umiko wept as she is shedding tears of deep sadness.
"Drake and Umiko, you must live for our escape would be for nothing. My lovely children," Mother said as she reaches out with her hand wanting to touch her kids for the final time as Drake goes for it first.
"Silence," the commander said as he thrust his blade into her chest and impale her heart killing her instantly. "Stupid whore," the commander said to approach Drake to raise his blade for he sees pure acid within Drake's eyes.
The commander is about to murder young Drake first until he hears his own men getting killed by an unknown fighter.
He turns around to see all his troops on the ground and the fields of snow colored with red. A lone man in black coat with a full faced mask and hood covering his face appears wielding a strange scary key with a goat's head in the middle.
"Who the hell are you?" the commander demanded to wield his blade in enraged by his men's deaths.
"It doesn't matter, you will not alive long enough to know my name," the man said in a dispassionate tone as the commander charges at him with rage in his eyes.
Before he can strike, the man is unleashing a series of slashes with such sheer speed for the commander's body seems to explode with pieces of bone and gore scattered onto the white fields.
The young Drake and Umiko is alone with only them and the mysterious masked man for they are surrounded by the dead bodies of Dark Elves and Light Elves alike. The moon casting down a bright light onto them to see the true depths of the carnage around them. "Did you come to save us?" Drake asked looking confused and curious by his mask.
"No, I was just passing by and watching the scene take place," the man said as she can sense the rage bubble up within Drake's voice.
"And you just let my mom and everyone else die?" Drake demanded with anger and sadness eating at his heart for Umiko was frighten by his outburst for Drake falls onto his knees with tears pouring down his face. "There are gone, mom and the others. All gone, why, why?!" Drake questioned unable to contain his wave of emotions overwhelming his body.
"It's not my place to aid you and I was curious," the man said.
"About what?" Umiko wept.
"The fire within your eyes and even now I can sense it. I want more people like you," the man said.
"What do you mean?" he asked as the man shows them his strange key like weapon.
"I am the Keyblade Master. You have the strength within you to wield a weapon like my own, but the question is what are you going to do with it?" the man asked.
"I want to be strong, strong enough that things like this would not happen again," Drake said as Umiko nods her head as well.
"I want to be strong too, I want to protect those I cherish most," Umiko said
"I see, what are your names?" he asked.
"I am Drake Ether and this is my younger sister Umiko Ether. What is your name?" Drake asked as the man pulls off the mask to reveal his dark tan skin, sharp yellow eyes, a gaunt looking face and a white beard.
"My name is Xehanort[EB1] and you will be my students. I will make you strong and no one will step on you again," Xehanort said as he slices the air to create a black portal for they go away as more soldiers are coming in to check out the battle for the trio disappear from sight.
-Flashback Ends-
Umiko finished telling her story as Kairi is crying up a storm into her hands from her master's sad past. "Oh master, I am so sorry," Kairi said as she gives the woman a big hug.
"Its okay, that was a long time ago. Things had gotten wrong and full war is in effect, it will not be easy to get to the dark tower," she said.
"Xehanort, interesting," Kairi said.
"You know about Master Xehanort?" she asked.
"No, but my parents talk about a young man who went out to see other worlds. Its like a local myth," Kairi said.
"Xehanort, he wanted to bring balance of light and darkness to the worlds to unite them back like in the ancient past," Umiko said.
"Your dreams is Xehanort's dream?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, it is but me and my brother have different means of making this dream a reality," Umiko said as she sees Kairi looking sad. "What is wrong Kairi?" Umiko asked.
"You talk about your mother and I haven't seen my folks anywhere within the worlds I traveled," Kairi said.
"Indeed, most likely they are dead or worse. I am sorry for giving you false hope," Umiko said to bow her head.
"No, its okay. I accept it awhile back; my foster parents are gone and now my home is gone too. But after this I want to know about my past and where I come from," Kairi said.
"You sure?" Umiko asked.
"Yes, once I know who my real parents and where I come from. I can fully move on and push forward into the future," Kairi said.
"Sounds like a plan, speaking of which. I got intel on the location of the dark tower from my sources. It's in the cave of one of the most powerful wind elemental dragons in all Alfhelm called Sylph named under the Wind Esper Sylph. Its to the north of the capital Umbra," she said.
"That is great, we can go there and get the final tower," Kairi said sounding excited.
"Oh, I am coming with you," Umiko said as Kairi has a look of utter shocked.
"Really Master?" she asked as the Dark Elf summons her Keyblade called Brightcrest.
"Yes, I will show you how a real Keyblade Master looks in battle," Umiko said as she prepares the others to go on a journey to the north to get to the last dark tower.
