Brother was right on schedule with his plans. He kept it quiet yet simple; yet he was ever prepared for what would come his way. He wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

The minority violence started increasing as expected; city and national security all were intensified as brother channeled and twisted aggressive energies to his gain. Lex had still summoned me; and I had yet to intervene; but there would come that inevitable time when brother would have me in his spotlight. In many ways I was ever still the star of his show. That would never change. And once I was back in that spotlight and fighting against former allies and friends Lex would in turn make me an ally. Brother holding the world hostage could make all of these things and more possible.

Of course the minority escalations would pick up the most in Gotham. It was clear as day what brother was doing with this plan. I'd just spoken to Bruce, and with prophetic warning, about our next encounter and how it would go. Bruce and his allies would do what they could here to restore order; but then I would indeed need to battle them to further justify brother's plans through Lex. Hera being Lex's lover and brother's mother would only serve to both complicate things here and to strengthen her son's sway over our father's creation.

I took the wonder plane to Gotham and prepared to do battle. I donned my armor and readied myself to enter the fray. The enemy for now would be anyone other than the government, even though it was mostly under brother's control now.

Blessed Athena - forgive me and all of us for what transpires next. Yet you know as I do what happens if brother wins - the darkness he will cast all into if he wins. We must not let that happen under any conditions.

I beamed out from the wonder plane and into the raging city below. I flew for the downtown corridor where the PD was trying to maintain order. The black groups in particular had formed into larger organized groups capable of doing great violence. I had to assist the PD in stopping it for good. The cops were out in full riot gear and as before were trying to disperse the mobs peacefully but it wasn't working.

The real fight wasn't with them. It was with Bats. He had to know it too now. The WP located Bats. He was on a nearby rooftop as the nighttime chaos continued. I flew down to him.

"You shouldn't be here Diana." "You know what has to happen." "I do." I saw him reach into his belt... "Don't-" He threw batarangs at me. My sword was out and batting them away.

With that distraction in place he sought to get away but my lasso was out and at super speed. It wrapped firmly around his neck. I yanked him back before he could jump away from the rooftop. "Diana-" I yanked again with super strength this time. His neck snapped and he fell dead to the ground. I was now the last of the trinity. I knew Alfred had witnessed it and that there would be no forgiveness. I'd understood that even before I had done that. It had to be done; simple as that.

I flew down and away from the rooftop that now had the corpse of Batman and went down to help the cops as I had before. "It's her!" they said on both sides. They all tensed but I flew hard into the black mob as I had before and cut them down to serve as proof of whose side I was on. I had done this when on the brave's side, but Lex and brother had continued to cleverly manipulate the masses to continue this madness in a gradually changing fashion. Brother was shifting the masses to be able to eat out of his hands readily. He'd never wanted me to be against him but rather ever with him. From his perspective this would help to ensure that.

A sizable force surged forward with assault weapons to kill the equally heavily armed police; but I hit them with a shock wave discharge that obliterated most of them without too much trouble. Everyone saw yet again that I was for the brave more than anyone else.

The assault continued; the mob remained enthralled to Hecate as they had this entire time. I bashed them away without quarter. The cops dropped them too. I hit them with a few more bracelet shock waves and the cops shot down the last of them. Almost six hundred blacks - men women and children had died here tonight. It was a horrible sight but ever one generated by necessity. The only morality was necessity.

The cops conveyed their thanks but begrudgingly. I was still an enemy of the state as were the other superheroes out there.

A cop walked up to me with a phone. "It's potus." I sighed and took it. "Yes." "You've proven your loyalty to the cause wonder woman." "I had no choice." "No, you didn't."

"What happens now?" "That's up to you wonder woman. I'm prepared to make you an agent of this administration for your proven loyalty this night." "There's more - I killed Batman." Silence. "I'll provide proof." "I don't doubt you wonder woman. I'm just-" "Surprised?" "In some ways yes. But then again I do forget this is a family matter for you." "Yes. And I know what it will mean for the world if I don't respond." "Yes, you have that right. Your brother knows you well. And you know him. This is just your cosmic game in its latest round. But look at it like this Diana - we're only killing those that will not leave. There will always be casualties in war. The difference is in this case is that it will not need to be races. Most will leave that need to; you will see." I sighed. I hated every bit of this so called arrangement but there was no better choice for now. "I'm in if you will have me - mister president." "I love those words Diana. Let me speak to the cops."

He made me his potus agent right then/there. To date only I had come to the government's fold. Most of the superheroes had gone into hiding. They might show up to fight or help if needed - and I would be there to engage them if need be. I would keep my armor on for the remainder of this removal crisis. I would need to keep slaughtering innocents for now. Eventually this would cause enough conflict in most nonwhite groups that they would voluntarily leave the hemisphere for all time. And with a legend like me leading the way there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. This gave Lex and brother everything they wanted to happen. And I would become their chief way to make it happen.

"Yes sir mister president. I understand." The cop hung up and looked at me with no doubt a mixture of thoughts/emotions. "You're one of us now." I nodded. "The chain of command?" "He said to follow your orders to the letter." "Good. Get this area contained. I'll tell you where Batman's body is."

Now Batman joined Superman on the master casualty list. Only I of the trinity remained. The other superheroes remained in hiding or had even fled the country in some cases. I'd never call or connect with anyone in those circles ever again. There's no way I could.

Lex announced my position as a potus agent answerable only to him in all things. He also did a masterful Machiavellian job at setting the people to see his side of things more. Magic was still very much in there, but evidence had been fabricated to sell the lie of needing to remake the nation as he saw fit. Many disagreed to be sure, but they were mostly too afraid to say/do anything against the administration. Plus I could/would be his top national security enforcer. And with Superman and Batman no longer a major issue the need to resist would go down from the superhero quarter. They also knew what my Olympian family could do.

The removal process would no doubt be done in phases. They wouldn't just be removed like that. But even now public support was slowly/surely increasing for relocation of all those Lex didn't want here. It would be a total consolidation of power to that effect and all roads would lead to removal - especially now that I was involved.

Underground groups pleaded with me to redeem myself and come to my senses. They didn't grasp the big picture and never would. They couldn't.

This entire crisis boiled down to me having to do the wrong thing for the right reason. I was Zeus' heir; only I could. Lex in one of his infamous rants had contrasted being all good from being all powerful. We Olympians were all powerful; we were not all good. But good was also based on perspective.

I had my next orders mere days after the Gotham crisis and Batman's death. I was to purge colleges of those who could lead resistance groups against the administration. With me leading the offensive it would put the fear of god into those that would stand in the way of removal. The administration was also planning on labeling most of the targets communist or jihadist as a way to justify removal. I didn't normally care for either in normal circumstances. But these groups could or could not be them or be something else entirely. In the end it didn't matter. I had my marching orders and I had to carry them out. I would also do it in a patriotic wonder suit. I was doing it for the USA; just not in the way anyone could understand.

As I was in Gotham I raided colleges there with the feds to begin the purge and removal process. The feds had a good idea how things would go. They also knew who to target and why. I'd looked over the intel. Many were traitors anyway.

Some of these people I would thus have no problem taking out in some form. It would definitely be a genuine mixture of guilty and innocent that we would be removing from the American equation; this mixture Lex would sell through his Olympian allies and make it easier yet for brother to complete his dark agenda.

With a series of warrants authorized Lex's government began their major crackdowns. Colleges had plenty of commies in them anyway and it wouldn't take much to find and stop them. I donned my war helmet and went into the social reformation taking place - led now by my blade. Some thought we were there to help them - especially at seeing me. Some thought it wasn't really true. They learned in short order how real it really all was.

Some resisted; some were arrested. They tried to hurt the brave that were just being put in an otherwise impossible position. I wouldn't let that happen - even now, even here. My sword was out... I cut down students teachers and other radicals that wanted to make American society something it was not; even before this latest machination by brother. The feds fired on them, but most were content letting me lead the way. My history with armies was long; especially USA's. My bonds with them had been long forged before now. That wouldn't change in light of everything.

Many guilty and innocent were killed. The blood of both was on my blade. The nonwhites and white allies of them were separated. These first raids of Gotham colleges would set the precedent for everything else to follow. The street mob hits had been defensive for the brave to repel. In this case the brave had to go on offense. The news outlets were there and covering things. They took note of my gore covered armor. I didn't answer any questions.

I was with the feds near their tac vehicles when I heard my name being called. It was Lois. I hadn't seen her since before Clark had been killed by Cheetah. She walked over to me. She took in the blood on my armor. It horrified her. These were no doubt dark times. I wouldn't pretend to anyone that they would get better anytime soon.

"You shouldn't be here," I said bluntly. She was past the fed perimeter for this. She stiffened. "Diana - what's happened to you?" "You know what the stakes here are. There's no way around it." "You really believe that?" "What do you think?" "Take off your helmet. Let me see your eyes." I did so.

She shook her head. "Are you...one of them?" "A daughter of war? Yes - but not by desire." "Diana - this is evil."

"Yes it is - and your sister and father are part of it too." She fought her sobs as increased emotion hit her. "Diana..." She broke down. I wanted to hug and console her, but I couldn't - not like this.

There were other things she had to know. "Lex has you on a list for possible removal." "...What?" "You've been a media champion to minorities in the past. It makes you and even the Daily Planet a threat to Lex and his plans." "You - you can't be serious?" "I wish I weren't - but Lex's orders were clear." "My father would never support Lex harming me. He wouldn't."

"Your father and sister are now pawns of my brother. His hold over them grows with each passing day. The division in the nation is growing - this feeds him even more. Thus his hold over anyone with aggressive tendencies only increases exponentially. This is what brother wants."

She walked up to me. She reached out with a hand and wanted to touch my arm but stopped. She then touched my arm anyway. "Diana - you have to stop this." "This is how we stop it. It's a few thousand here and there Lois...or it's brother letting Hades have his merry way with the world." "There has to be another way..." "Not if you want to save the most lives, no, there isn't. Like it or not Lois but this is about saving the greater good."

"But this country will never be the same-" "The country will survive and evolve Miss Lane - I can promise you that." The new speaker was a fed with an alphabet agency windbreaker on. Lois frowned at him and even I didn't recognize him at first until I saw his eyes turn red...

"Ares." He smiled. "You're doing so well sis. I'm so sorry to show up so late for our latest tug of war session-" "You murderous bastard!" Lois yelled at him. Brother laughed. "Thank you." I held up a hand at Lois. "What are you doing here?" "Why to give Miss Lane a little history lesson. Don't blame my beloved sister for doing what must be done. Lucy is doing the same-" "She is nothing like you." "She's a daughter of war...which very much makes her mine."

He took a few steps closer to us. Lois charged at him but I was quick to hold her back. "You think you know so much Miss Lane - but you really know so little."

"The black presence here is an anomaly that should never have happened in the first place. Did you know they were going to be sent back to Africa by way of Liberia but never were? Why? Because whites back then were too weak to do what should have been done. Now, I, god of war, will make it right." Lois was stunned. I obviously was not. He nodded at me. "And my beloved sister will make it happen She is right about what I will do to this world if my whims are not met." "You're pure evil..." He laughed. "Yes - and dearest Di here is necessary evil. Together we make a hellish duo don't we? And here everyone thought the flying rodent and the clown were the greatest most complicated rivalry in history. Wrong!"

He walked up to me and smiled. "Just look at her. This perfect woman warrior." He ran his finger over some of the blood on my armor and sucked it off his finger like ketchup. "Delicious! If only you could be like her Miss Lane." "I don't want to be anything like her-" Ares slapped her hard across the face and knocked her down to a knee. "Don't talk about my sister - the heir of creation's throne - like that or I'll make you regret it - mortal swine."

Provoking brother would only make things worse. "He's right Lois. He could bring back Clark from the dead." Despite the pain of her busted lip this caused her to slowly stand. "What do you mean?" "My beloved sister is correct Miss Lane. I could bring back your late beloved as a demon slave. And here you thought being killed by Doomsday was worse. You have no idea what worse really is." Lois looked at me; I nodded. It was all true. "I don't have to unleash all of hell upon the world or this joke of a nation. Just a dead rampaging Superman would be enough..." "Please - I beg of you - don't." Lois literally begged as she said this. She even crawled over to Ares on her knees while saying this. "Please don't. It would be worse than death." He smiled. "Yes, it would." "I'll do anything..." "Really?" "Yes."

He then looked at me. "You swear it on my name?" "Yes...my lord Ares." He smiled wide. "I like the sound of that." He looked at me again. "Very well. For the duration of this crisis you will be Diana's lover. You will comfort and console her as she embarks with Lex and your family to make America the way I want it to be. Do you understand?" Lois looked at me. "Miss Lane?" "Yes my lord - I hear you." "You better."

"You better please her and help her in this horrific task not much worse than genocide, but it must be done. Your countrymen have always been too weak and filled with cancer called 'white guilt' to do anything about it. I, War, will end this vicious cycle once/for all." "Now, kiss my sister to show your love for her and to begin this beautiful yet imposed relationship."

Lois wiped the blood away from her mouth and took my face into her hands and slowly kissed me. Ares laughed. "Girls are so erotic. I love it!" "And don't worry dearest Di - you'll stand before Jack's grave again and that eternal flame when this is all said/done. We have both seen it." He said this while Lois kissed me. She ended the kiss. "Excellent Lois; I'm satisfied down below now. Ha ha ha!"

He then grew serious. "If you fail my sister in any way... I will indeed unleash demon Clark upon the world...and have fun. Ha ha ha!"

He vanished. Lois' legs buckled. I caught her as she fainted. Any person - man or woman - would if faced by brother like that. It's how you stayed human.

I beamed up with her to the WP.
