Opening up within the city of Knapford, all was quiet around the big highway. Just then, Bertie's Bus came roaring down the road.

(inside...)

Inside the bus, Bertie, still driving, had a look of pure determination on his face.

"We'll be reaching Boxford Corporation, shortly." he announced.

"Good to know." nodded Percy. He then looked over towards Thomas near the back. "So, Thomas, what will be our plan of attack?"

"Frankie will likely be expecting us." explained Thomas. "There's a good chance we'll have to duel one of her pirates immediately once we arrive."

"In that case, I'll duel the pirate." offered Rosie, before turning her attention to James and the likes. "You guys need to save your strength for those commanders..." She then looked towards Thomas. "...and you'll need all the strength you can have to fight Frankie, Thomas."

"It will be dangerous, Rosie." warned Stanley, reminding his cherry red-haired girlfriend of the Bio-Band on her wrist. "Try to be careful in your duel."

Rosie nodded seriously.

(outside...)

And the bus carrying the students and teachers from Sodor High School continued down the road towards the huge skyscraper in the distance.

Title: Bullet Buried in Darkness

Standing outside of Boxford Corp's main entranceway, waiting for the arrivals to…arrive (duh), was Diesel 10 - one of the ones who started this whole mess. Currently, the former assistance to Sir Topham Hatt and now pirate was eager to take on Thomas or one of his friends.

"This will be good." Diesel 10 thought to himself. "Thomas may have beaten me once before, but that's thanks to that *&%^# Marik! If he didn't interfere, I could have won!"

The ochre-haired man then heard a loud bus honk coming from the nearby distance.

"It's them..."

As expected, the school bus pulled up nearby. Once the vehicle had stopped, the doors opened and Thomas jumped out first, followed by Percy, followed by Stanley... This went on until everyone was out. Immediately, Diesel 10 burst into laughter in order to attract his enemy's attention...

"Welcome to your nightmares!" shouted Diesel 10.

Nobody was surprised to see the ochre-haired man.

"So, you're back?" dismissed James.

"Heh!" grinned Diesel 10. "You guys are not surprised?"

"Not one bit!" snapped Rosie, taking a step forth. "None of us have forgotten about you after what you tried to do before that summer."

Diesel 10, upon seeing the cherry red-haired girl, seemed to grin with delight.

"Ah, my dear Rosie!" he began, speaking in a surprisingly smooth tone. "So, you're part of this group now? I am surprised; truly I am. I guess I should also be surprised that none of your friends had gone and abandoned you after I was arrested... Especially it was all YOU who helped me take over that school."

"Rosie?" peeped Nia. "What's he talking about?"

"Is there something you did but never told us?" added Rebecca, who also wasn't around at the time Diesel 10 tried to take over Sodor High School.

"Oh ho, you never told your two gay teachers what it was you did months ago?" taunted Diesel 10. When Rosie did not say a word back, he went on... "In that case, allow me to fill everyone in...again!"

And so, as images of the past incident were shown, the explanation commenced...

"When Rosie and Stanley were both new to the Island of Sodor, poor Rosie felt left out and sore because Thomas wouldn't spend time with her. So, I had one of the Smelter Classroom students, Diesel I believe, bring her to me. There, I managed to manipulate her into helping me and those Smelter-based students take over Sodor High School and capture Thomas so that I could kill him. Unfortunately, Billinton and his meddlesome friends managed to stop my plans yet again."

Nia and Rebecca both were surprised over what was revealed about one of their own students.

"Rosie... is this true?" Rebecca asked.

"Did you really help this man take over the school?" added Nia.

Rosie, with her eyes closed tightly, admitted the truth...

"Yes, it's all true." she said softly. "I never meant to cause any trouble. At the time, I was so left out, that I just wanted to be of help to someone. I didn't know it was really Diesel 10 in disguise."

"It wasn't your fault, Rosie." insisted Stanley gently, laying a hand on the cherry red-haired girl's shoulder. "That heartless man chose to take advantage of you for his own selfish gain. 'He's' the one to blame, not you."

"Well, I think it's too bad... You all should have abandoned poor Rosie after that incident had occurred!" continued Diesel 10. "After all, what if she were to do something like that again? There could be FAR worse consequences than almost burning the whole building down, you know!"

"Shut up, Diesel 10!" snarled Thomas. "You're the 'real' threat here! Along with your friend Boomer, you're the one who started this whole thing in the first place!"

"That's right." grinned Diesel 10, before going over what his role was in the whole scenario. "As you know by now, I lied to those pirate commanders about you killing their captain, and Boomer was the one who tricked Frankie into freeing them - while also leading her to stealing those incomplete cards." He then burst into sinister laughter as he turned his attention back towards Rosie. "That stupid bitch, Frankie, was super easy to fool, just like you were, Rosie."

Rosie didn't say a word about that.

"When I told those pirate commanders how Thomas killed their previous leader, you and your friends were guaranteed to be targeted by them the first chance they got!" Diesel 10 laughed once more. "Pretty smart, wouldn't you agree? I knew that if I sided with those pirates, they would lead me straight to your friend Thomas. That way, I could finish what I started and finally exact my revenge on him for foiling my plans to become principal of Sodor High School!"

Rosie was absolutely incensed!

"What you're saying is-" The cherry red-haired girl whispered. "-that you wanted to duel Thomas for revenge... So you basically made Frankie and her pirates target all of us...?"

The chuckling from Diesel 10 confirmed it.

"For that, you nearly killed Thomas..." At that point, Rosie activated her Duel Disk and took a step forth in order to face Diesel 10. "Take me on, Diesel 10! Fight me with all that you have!"

"Are you serious?" Diesel 10 smirked, waving his good hand in dismissal. "I've already mopped the floor with you once before. What makes you think you'll be able to stop me this time around?"

"I'm not the same as I was before!" answered Rosie. "I'm a whole different person; and one who promises to take you down for everything that you've ever done to all of us!"

"Oh really? Well, did I ever tell you that I actually went easy on you in our last duel?"

Rosie scowled.

"I could have easily defeated you within one turn of that duel." Diesel 10 went on. "But I was fair just to protect my cover—yet, you still ended up losing to me." He then turned his attention to Thomas and the likes. "And now, just to show all of you that I'm nice..."

"Yeah right!" interrupted James.

Diesel 10 frowned. "As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted... I'll willingly let the rest of you pass, but Rosie stays and duels with me."

"Sounds fair to me!" accepted Rosie.

"Rosie!" protested Stanley.

"Head inside, everyone!" Rosie ordered, turning and speaking to her teachers and fellow classmates. "Work your way up into the building." She then turned to face Diesel 10 once more. "I'll join all of you once I've taken care of Diesel 10 here."

"You can't take him on alone." insisted Percy. "At least let someone like me help you!"

"Do that, and I'll make sure none of you can go inside to try and stop 'Captain' Frankie!" interrupted Diesel 10, taking a remote control out of his pocket. "One press of the button, and the building's doors and windows will lock up, and then I'll destroy the device. Once that happens, it will be game over for you losers!"

Rosie remained calm. "He's right, Percy." she pointed out. "I 'have' to do this by myself."

"But you could get seriously hurt!"

"Waste any more of my time, and I'll retaliate!" warned Diesel 10, waving the remote in his working hand.

"Just go!" Rosie commanded her friends.

Realizing they couldn't change their cherry red-haired friend's mind, the rest of the group headed off; entering the building's main entrance way. Once he and Rosie were alone, Diesel 10 put the remote away and activated his Duel Disk.

"You still think you can take me on?" he asked, smirking. "I'll just wipe you out just like before."

"I've been waiting for a chance to get even with you ever since you tricked me." declared Rosie. "And I don't care what it takes. I 'will' win against you! Don't hold back against me, 'Mr. Nodniws'!"

With hands drawn, the rematch between 'teacher' and 'student' commenced...

"DUEL!" Diesel 10 and Rosie both exclaimed at once (LP: 4000) x2.

(elsewhere...)

Inside the lobby...

"Alright, we're inside the building." said Mavis, looking around. "So, where do we go from here?"

Thomas soon saw an elevator. "There!"

The group approached the elevator. Unfortunately, it was not working properly.

"Come on, you stupid hunk of junk!" James growled, kicking at the elevator doors. "Let us in!"

"Don't forget that Frankie was expecting us." reminded Nia. "She likely had this place modified to prevent us from easily reaching her."

"Nia's got a point." agreed Edward. "We'll have to take the stairs and go up floor by floor. Chances are we'll have to duel the pirates to move on."

"We'll be old and senile by the time we get to her." groaned Gordon.

Alas, there was no helping it...

(elsewhere...)

Outside the building, Diesel 10 was taking the first turn...

"Are you ready? Then I'll go first!" he offered, drawing a card. "Draw!"

Turn One: Diesel 10 (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Hack Worm", "Foolish Burial Goods", "Booby Trap E", "Puzzle Reborn", "Hack Worm", and "Barrel Dragon"

His hand contained 'Hack Worm', 'Foolish Burial Goods', 'Booby Trap E', 'Puzzle Reborn', another copy of 'Hack Worm', and 'Barrel Dragon'.

"Not too bad of a start." he grinned, taking a card from his hand and holding it out. "As your field is void of monsters, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand - 'Hack Worm'!"

Appearing onto the field was a large robotic worm (Level: 1/ATK: 400/ DEF: 0).

"But why stop there?" Diesel 10 added, holding up another card. "I'll Special Summon another copy of it, too!"

A second copy of 'Hack Worm' appeared on the field.

"But, wait. It gets better!" continued Diesel 10. "I have two monsters already! You know what that means? I'll sacrifice them both!"

Both 'Hack Worms' faded away in streaks of blue.

"Come forth - 'Barrel Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was a huge robotic-looking dragon with three laser gun barrels, one of which was mounted on its head (Level: 7/ATK: 2600/DEF: 2200).

"Not good." Rosie thought to herself. "Diesel 10's already Summoned a monster with 2600 Attack Points."

From there, a Spell Card called 'Foolish Burial Goods' materialized face-up on the field.

"And now-" Diesel 10 announced. "-I'll activate 'Foolish Burial Goods'! I must send one Spell or Trap Card from my Deck to the Graveyard!" A card ejected from his Deck and he took it and held it out. "This will do... I'll send 'Proton Blast' to the Graveyard!"

The ochre-haired man sent his card to the Graveyard, before selecting two more cards from his hand.

"Finally, I'll set two cards facedown and end my turn."

Two facedown cards materialized on the field.

"My hand's at zero!" laughed Diesel 10, holding his hand and claw hand both out. "Although I'm in command of a very powerful Machine-Type monster, Rosie!"

"He's just goading me." Rosie thought to herself. "It's true that 'Barrel Dragon' is very powerful, but I can beat it." She then drew a card. "I draw!"

Turn Two: Rosie Vulcan (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Soul Resurrection", "White Elephant's Gift", "Ruby Dragon", "Unexpected Dai", "Monster Reborn", and "Dragon Shrine"

Her hand consisted of 'Soul Resurrection', 'White Elephant's Gift', 'Ruby Dragon', 'Unexpected Dai', 'Monster Reborn', and the drawn 'Dragon Shrine'.

"Hey, Diesel 10!" The cherry red-haired girl went on. "How do you like this?"

"Huh?" quizzed Diesel 10.

"Spell Card - 'Dragon Shrine'!" declared Rosie, slotting her card into her Duel Disk. On cue, the mentioned Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself. "It lets me send one Dragon monster from my Deck to the Graveyard! And if that monster in my Graveyard is a Dragon Normal Monster, I can send one more Dragon monster from my Deck to the Graveyard."

"Doesn't sound like a good card to me." dismissed Diesel 10. "But, whatever! Choose your Dragon-Type monster!"

Rosie searched through her Deck. These were some of the cards shown:
-'Imperial Order'
-'Fire Princess'
-'Tribute to the Doomed'
-'Luster Dragon #2'
-'Scapegoat'
-'Hyozanryu'
-'Diamond Head Dragon'

At last, a choice was made...

"I send 'Luster Dragon #2' to the Graveyard!" announced Rosie, taking the mentioned card from her Deck and sending it to the Graveyard. She then resumed looking through her Deck for another card. "Since 'Luster Dragon #2' is a Dragon Normal Monster, I can send another Dragon to the Graveyard."

One such card she found was a Monster Card called 'Labradorite Dragon'.

"I'll send this Dragon-Type monster to the Graveyard!"

After sending her card to the Graveyard, Rosie inserted her Deck back into her Duel Disk.

"Not only that, I'll activate a Spell Card!" The cherry red-haired girl went on, taking and holding another card out. "'Unexpected Dai'! If I control no monsters, I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from the Deck."

On cue, a Monster Card called 'Alexandrite Dragon' materialized face-up on the field.

"Come forth - 'Alexandrite Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was a winged dragon who's scales were literally made of jewels (Level: 4/ATK: 2000/DEF: 100).

"Pathetic!" scoffed Diesel 10. "That monster doesn't compare to that of 'Barrel Dragon'!"

"My turn's not over." Rosie pointed out, taking another card and placing it onto her Duel Disk. "I Summon 'Ruby Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was the red version of 'Luster Dragon' (Level: 4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1300).

"You have got to be kidding me!" groaned Diesel 10. "Your monsters are too weak to attack!"

"I did this for a reason." insisted Rosie, taking and holding another card out. "'White Elephant's Gift', activate! By sending one face-up non-Effect Monster I control to the Graveyard, I draw two cards."

As expected, 'Ruby Dragon' faded away in a blue streak, allowing Rosie to draw two cards. Fortunately, they were both good cards.

"Alright, I drew something good!" she rejoiced.

Diesel 10 raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

As expected, another Spell Card materialized face-up on the field ('Dragon's Gunfire'), compliments of Rosie Vulcan.

"I activate 'Dragon's Gunfire'!" The cherry red-haired girl declared, with two fingers pressing on a Spell/Trap slot on her Duel Disk. "If I control a Dragon-Type monster, I can activate one of the following effects."

These were the effects:
-"Inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent."
-"Target one monster with 800 or less Defense Points and destroy that target."

Diesel 10 scowled without uttering a word about it; he knew exactly what effect will be chosen...

"And I'll choose the first option."

'Alexandrite Dragon' fired a blast of fire at Diesel 10, striking and causing him to grunt (LP: 4000 - 3200). Still not being done, Rosie took and held yet another card out.

"I activate the Spell Card 'Monster Reborn'!" Rosie went on. "Come back to me - 'Luster Dragon #2'!"

Returning to the field was the large emerald scaled dragon (Level: 6/ATK: 2400/DEF: 1400).

"And finally-" As Rosie spoke, she slotted another card into her Duel Disk. "-I'll activate the Spell Card 'Order to Charge'!"

The mentioned Spell Card materialized face-up on the field.

"It works by having me select one face-up Normal Monster on my side of the field when I first activate this card. When this card resolves, I'll tribute the selected Normal Monster and destroy one monster on my opponent's side of the field."

Diesel 10 said no word about it; he merely nodded and allowed the Card Effect to happen.

"I'll tribute my 'Luster Dragon #2' to destroy 'Barrel Dragon'!" declared Rosie, motioning her left hand (with the Duel Disk) out.

'Luster Dragon #2' let out a roar as it turned into a fireball, which was then fired at 'Barrel Dragon'.

"That's the end of 'Barrel Dragon'!" smirked Rosie. "Is there anything you can do to save it?"

"Nope." denied Diesel 10, shaking his head. "My monster is doomed."

The ball of fire collided with 'Barrel Dragon' and caused an explosion to cloud the whole duel field.

"Your monster is toast!" Rosie grinned.

Diesel 10 grinned back. "Is it?"

When the smoke cleared, 'Barrel Dragon' was shown to still be standing.

"W-What?!" gasped Rosie.

"I told you that 'Barrel Dragon' was doomed." acknowledged Diesel 10. "However, I still had a way to bring it back upon being destroyed."

When the smoke cleared, a face-up Trap Card could be seen.

"'Puzzle Reborn'?!" Rosie recoiled.

"That's right." confirmed Diesel 10. "If exactly one monster I control, and no other cards, is destroyed by a Card Effect, I can target that monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it."

"D-Darn it." groaned Rosie. "My plan seemed so fool-proof."

"Man, you haven't even improved!" taunted Diesel 10. "It looks like I'll be the winner again in no time flat!"

Rosie merely took her last card and slotted it into her Duel Disk.

"Why don't you just surrender now and save yourself any further pains?" Diesel 10 cruelly suggested. "It won't make you seem like much of a failure."

"Never!" hissed Rosie, just as a facedown card materialized on the field. "A True Duelist 'never' gives up! Even if I've no chance to win, I will continue to fight until the last card is played!"

"Heh! You really are delusional, aren't you?" sighed Diesel 10, before drawing a card of his own. "I'll be sure to crush your hopes, now!"

Turn Three: Diesel 10 (LP: 3200)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (1): "Card of Sanctity"

The drawn card was the 'Card of Sanctity' Spell Card.

"I'll start with this card!" As Diesel 10 spoke, he held his drawn card out. "'Card of Sanctity'! Each player draws from their respective Decks until they have six cards in their hand. We both have no cards, so we basically refresh our hands!"

The two duelists drew from their respective Decks until they held six cards each. Diesel 10's new hand contained 'Blowback Dragon', 'Rare Metalmorph', 'Trifortressops', 'Shock Reborn', 'Time Machine', and a second copy of 'Proton Blast' - the last card brought a smile to Diesel 10's face.

"Ah ha! I got it!" he thought to himself. "All I need to do is get this into my Graveyard, and victory will be mine!"

Nearby, Rosie was looking over her hand, causing Diesel 10 to keep smirking nastily.

"That little skank! She doesn't know what she's even up against!" From there, Diesel 10 pointed to his remaining set card, resulting in it flipping face-up and revealing itself. "Facedown card, open - 'Booby Trap E', activate!"

"'Booby Trap E'?" gasped Rosie, looking up from her hand.

"It works by discarding one card." explained Diesel 10, sending his card ('Proton Blast') to the Graveyard without his opponent seeing what it was. "From there, I can set one Continuous Trap Card from my hand or Graveyard to my field. That Set card can be activated during this turn."

The first copy of the 'Proton Blast' Trap Card ejected from the Graveyard, before materializing facedown on the field.

"With my card now set, I think I'll activate 'Barrel Dragon's' Monster Effect!" suggested Diesel 10, taking a coin out. "Once per turn, I can target one monster my opponent controls and toss a coin three times. If two results are heads, I can destroy the targeted monster." Just then, his set card flipped up and revealed itself. "But, before I do that, I'll activate 'Proton Blast'! Once per turn, if an activated card effect tosses coins, immediately after it resolves, I can apply the following effect(s), depending on the number of heads."

He started going over the following effects:
-"If the result is only one, I can inflict 500 points of damage to my opponent."
-"If the result is two, I destroy one card my opponent controls."
-"And if the result is three, I can look at my opponent's hand and get them to discard one card."

And so, the first coin toss happened...

"Please not heads!" worried Rosie.

Unfortunately, the first toss, when it landed in Diesel 10's right hand, had landed on heads.

"Well, whaddya know? Heads!" The ochre-haired man chortled. "Just one more, and I'll be able to get rid of two cards you control!"

He tossed the coin again. Once it landed in the palm of Diesel 10's right hand, it was shown to be...

"Aww, that's too bad." cooed Diesel 10 sarcastically. "I got another heads. That means 'Barrel Dragon' gets to blow 'Luster Dragon #2' to pieces!" He announced the attack/effect name... "PROTON BLAST!"

'Barrel Dragon' fired two laser blasts at Rosie's side of the field. The blast struck 'Luster Dragon #2' and destroyed it in a massive explosion.

"'L-Luster Dragon'-!" cried Rosie.

"And let's not forget 'Proton Blast'!" reminded Diesel 10. "I got two heads in my coin tossing; as a result, I can not only inflict 500 points of damage, but I can also destroy one of your cards on the field!"

Another blast was fired at Rosie, striking her and causing another explosion. When the smoke cleared, Rosie collapsed to a knee as she sustained minor damage (LP: 4000 - 3500). Not only that, her only set card was destroyed.

"You have nothing to protect you!" laughed Diesel 10, entering the Battle Phase. "Now, take this! 'Barrel Dragon', attack Rosie directly!"

'Barrel Dragon obeyed, firing all three of its laser barrels at Rosie, causing her to scream (LP: 3500 - 900). Diesel 10 simply laughed maniacally at the sight.

"You're not faring any better than you did last time!" he exclaimed, just as three facedown cards materialized on the field. "Now, I'll set three cards and end my turn!"

Rosie slowly managed to get back to her feet.

"Any last words before you become a two-time failure, pipsqueak?" asked Diesel 10.

These were the words said...

"It's my turn!" announced Rosie, drawing a card. "Draw!"

Diesel 10 sighed in annoyance.

Turn Four: Rosie Vulcan (LP: 900)
Deck: 43
Current Hand (7): "Spell Economics", "Justi-Break", "Solemn Judgment", "Amulet of Ambition", "Stamping Destruction", "Dragonic Divine", and "Dragard"

Her drawn card was a Monster Card called 'Dragard'.

"Is this it?" Rosie wondered. After reading the effect on the card, a small smile appeared on her face. "Well, it's certainly a start, anyway."

"Well?" demanded Diesel 10, causing Rosie to look back up. "Are you gonna play something? Because it doesn't matter what you do next; I'm going to win on my next turn!"

"Fat chance!" retorted Rosie, before placing her card onto her Duel Disk. "I Summon 'Dragard' in attack mode!"

Appearing onto the field was an armless dragon with black and purple scales (Level: 4/ATK: 1300/DEF: 1900).

"'Dragard'?" blinked Diesel 10, before scowling. "You can't touch me with that!"

"'Dragard's effect!" cut in Rosie. "When this card is Normal Summoned, I can target one Normal Monster with 1000 or less Attack Points in my Graveyard and Special Summon that target in face-up defense position." She readied a card from her Graveyard. "This one will do nicely - 'Labradorite Dragon'!"

"What good will it do for you to Summon these weakling Dragons?" remarked Diesel 10.

Appearing onto the field was a black/blue dragon with two large wings (Level: 6/ATK: 0/DEF: 2400).

"Don't think these two monsters are weak." warned Rosie, slotting two cards into her Duel Disk. "Now, I'll set two cards facedown."

Two facedown cards materialized on the field.

"Are you about to end your turn?" huffed Diesel 10.

"Nope; not even close." grinned Rosie. "Now tell me, do you know anything about 'Labradorite Dragon'?"

"It's just an ordinary card." scoffed Diesel 10. "What's there to know about it?"

Rosie's smirk broadened. "Then allow me to show you something interesting..." She then gave the command... "I'm Tuning my Level 4 Effect Monster, 'Dragard', with the Level 6 Tuner Monster, 'Labradorite Dragon'!"

'Labradorite Dragon' turned into six Synchro Rings, while 'Dragard' flew into the rings. Briefly, the symbols 4 plus 6 equals 10 were shown.

"What?!" gasped Diesel 10. "Tuning?!"

"Got that right." confirmed Rosie. "Now appear, Level 10! The Three-Headed Dragon King - 'Trident Dragion'!"

When the Synchro Summon sequence came to an end, an orange scaled dragon with three heads emerged from the beam of light, letting out a roar to signal its arrival (Level: 10/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2800).

"'Trident Dragion'?!" cried Diesel 10. "T-That's a Synchro Monster! Where did you get a card like that?"

"It was a gift." answered Rosie, looking at the card on her Duel Disk. "From my Stan."

"Tch... You mean that boy with the graying hair?" scowled Diesel 10.

"Yes." Rosie answered. "He knows that I have the true potential of a dueling champion! It also means you're completely wrong; I really do deserve to have friends, and they will continue to support me to the bitter end!" She then went on with her turn... "I activate the effect of 'Trident Dragion'! When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can target up to two other cards I control; destroy those targets, and, if I do, for each card destroyed, this monster gains one additional attack during each Battle Phase this turn."

Both of Rosie's facedown cards faded away into dust of a sort, which then rained down upon 'Trident Dragion', causing it to let out a roar as it gained new powers.

"Since I destroyed my two set cards, 'Trident Dragion' can attack two additional attacks during this turn's Battle Phase!"

"Nice try!" sneered Diesel 10, just as one of his facedown cards flipped up and revealed itself. "Continuous Trap, activate - 'Rare Metalmorph'! I can activate this card by targeting one Machine-Type monster on the field; it gains 500 Attack Points! And once, I can negate a Spell effect that targets that monster."

As expected, 'Barrel Dragon' grew stronger (ATK: 2600 - 3100).

"With my dragon once again stronger, you attacking it will be a complete waste of time!"

"I'm not through yet." Rosie pointed out, before taking and holding another card out. "I activate 'Stamping Destruction'! If I control a Dragon monster, I can target one Spell or Trap Card on the field and destroy that target, and, if I do, inflict 500 points of damage to its controller."

"What?!" Diesel 10 cringed.

A large dragon's food loomed over the field and stomped on the face-up 'Rare Metalmorph' Trap Card, causing it to shatter into shards of glass; some of which also hit Diesel 10 (LP: 3200 - 2700). 'Barrel Dragon's' Attack Power also reduced to its original amount (ATK: 3100 - 2600).

"Now your 'Barrel Dragon is weaker again." Rosie grinned. "However, I'm not done preparing for your downfall."

"What else is there for you to even do?!" demanded Diesel 10.

The answer was simple... Rosie took and slotted another card into her Duel Disk. On cue, a Spell Card called 'Spell Economics' materialized face-up on the field.

"Continuous Spell - 'Spell Economics'!" announced Rosie. "As long as this stays face-up, I no longer have to pay Life Points in order to use the effects of certain Spell Cards!"

"Sounds pointless to me." frowned Diesel 10.

"Not quite." retorted Rosie.

"Say what?!"

"It's true." The cherry red-haired girl went on. She then held another card out. "Spell Card - 'Dragonic Divine', activate! If I control a Level 8 or higher Dragon-Type monster, I can pay 1000 Life Points; I can then add, into my hand, the top-most Spell Card in my Graveyard that was activated this turn."

"Damn!" swore Diesel 10. "Thanks to 'Spell Economics', you don't have to pay a single Life Point!"

"Exactly." From there, Rosie allowed a card ('Stamping Destruction) to eject from her Graveyard. She then took and held it out. "Once more, I'll activate 'Stamping Destruction'! This time, I'll target another of your set cards!"

A large dragon's foot loomed over the field and stomped on the facedown card on the right, destroying the card.

"Ngh... 'Time Machine' has been..." grimaced Diesel 10 (LP: 2700 - 2200).

"And now, it's time for battle!" announced Rosie. "Get ready to lose, Diesel 10! 'Trident Dragion', attack 'Barrel Dragon'!"

'Trident Dragon' obeyed, firing one blast of fire at 'Barrel Dragon'.

"This is the end!" cried Rosie.

The blast of fire overwhelmed 'Barrel Dragon', causing Diesel 10 to brace himself whilst crying out in surprise (LP: 2200 - 1800).

"And now, the final blow!" As Rosie spoke on, she again motioned her left arm (with the Duel Disk) out. "'Trident Dragion', end this duel!"

'Trident Dragion' charged a second blast and fired it off. Suddenly...

"Not gonna happen!" declared Diesel 10 as his final facedown card activated. "I activate 'Shock Reborn'! It activates only when I would take Battle Damage. It halves the Battle Damage, and then I can Special Summon one monster from my Graveyard whose Attack Power is equal to or less than the Battle Damage I take."

The attack struck Diesel 10, causing him to cry out (LP: 1800 - 300). Quickly, however, the ochre-haired man recovered and grinned...

"And now, I Special Summon a monster whose Attack Power is equal to or less than the Battle Damage I took... Come out - 'Hack Worm'!"

On cue, a "Hack Worm' reappeared on the field in a defensive stance.

"'Trident Dragion', attack 'Hack Worm'!" ordered Rosie.

'Trident Dragon' obeyed, blasting 'Hack Worm' to pieces. Again, Diesel 10 seemed to grin with interest.

"Well, well-" he was saying. "-you were foolish enough to attack me."

"It was the right thing to do." insisted Rosie. "On my next turn, I'll be able to finish you off!"

"Good luck trying." offered Diesel 10, before readying a card from his hand. "And guess what? You've Special Summoned three or more monsters this turn."

Rosie raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, so what?"

"So now, I have my key to winning this match." When Diesel 10 said that, he placed his card onto his Duel Disk (sideways). "I Special Summon 'Trifortressops' in defense mode!"

Appearing onto the field was a huge mechanical Triceratops-like monster (Level: 6/ATK: 1600/DEF: 2800).

"If 'Trifortressops' is Summoned this way-" explained Diesel 10. "-it is unaffected by other cards' effects, but loses 500 Defense Points during each player's Standby Phase."

Not knowing what to expect on her opponent's next turn, Rosie took and slotted one more card into her Duel Disk.

"I set one card and end my turn." The cherry red-haired girl concluded.

A facedown card materialized on the field.

"You end your turn." chuckled Diesel 10. "Those were your final words, child?"

"I'm going to win this time." Rosie insisted. "Mark my words."

"Huh! Those ARE your final words. In that case, I think it's time to show you the 'bullet buried in darkness'..."

"What? 'Bullet buried in darkness'?" gasped Rosie.

"Allow me to show what I mean." Diesel 10 offered, drawing a card. "Here I go!"

Turn Five: Diesel 10 (LP: 300)
Deck: 45
Current Hand (2): "Blowback Dragon" and "Overload Fusion"

His drawn card was a Spell Card called 'Overload Fusion'.

"It's here!" Diesel 10 thought to himself, before looking up and speaking aloud... "As it's the Standby Phase, 'Trifortressops' loses 500 Defense Points!"

'Trifortressops' got weaker in the defensive department (DEF: 2800 - 2300).

"But it's not going to remain in my command for very long."

"How so?" quizzed Rosie.

"For you see, young Rosie, I now hold the key to victory in my hand." teased Diesel 10, taking and placing a card onto his Duel Disk. "I sacrifice 'Trifortressops' in order to Tribute Summon this monster!"

'Trifortressops' faded away in a blue streak.

"Come forth - 'Blowback Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was a mechanical dragon standing on two legs and with a large plasma cannon on its back (Level: 6/ATK: 2300/DEF: 1200).

"Gonna have to disappoint you there, 'teacher'." said Rosie, sounding pleased right now.

Diesel 10's look of triumph became one of worry. His worries were confirmed when Rosie's set card flipped face-up and revealed itself.

"Counter Trap - 'Solemn Judgment', activate!" The cherry red-haired girl announced. "When a monster(s) would be Summoned, OR a Spell or Trap Card is activated, I can pay half of my Life Points; I can negate the Summon or activation, and, if I do, destroy that card."

The face-up 'Solemn Judgment' Trap Card started glowing, causing 'Blowback Dragon' to suddenly shatter into shards of glass. In addition, Rosie's Life Points took a hit (LP: 900 - 450).

"Well, it looks like it's just about over for you, yes?" taunted Rosie, placing both hands at her hips. "You have nothing left to stop me from winning. In fact, why don't you just surrender now, and I'll be on my way to help my friends stop Frankie."

A dark smile slowly crept onto Diesel 10's face.

"Did you say surrender? Me surrender to you?" he chuckled. "I'm sorry, but you have just sealed your fate, kid."

"What are you talking about?" demanded Rosie. "I used 'Solemn Judgment' to stop your Summon, and I control 'Trident Dragion' - which has 3000 Attack Points! How can you win now?"

"It's real simple." Diesel 10 replied, holding out his final card. "From my hand, I'll activate the one Spell Card that will end this duel here and now - 'Overload Fusion'!"

The mentioned Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself.

"'Overload Fusion'?" repeated Rosie.

"It works by allowing me to Fusion Summon 1 DARK Machine Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, by removing Fusion Materials listed on it from my field or Graveyard."

"Field or Graveyard?"

On cue, two cards ('Barrel Dragon' and 'Blowback Dragon') ejected from Diesel 10's Graveyard, causing both 'Barrel Dragon' and 'Blowback Dragon' to both briefly appear on the field.

"You've selected 'Barrel Dragon' and 'Blowback Dragon'?" pondered Rosie.

"I sure have." grinned Diesel 10, as his two monsters merged together. "Appear - 'Gatling Dragon'!"

Appearing onto the field was another robotic dragon; this one resembling a gatling (Level: 8/ATK: 2600/DEF: 1200).

"Meet my secret weapon!" cackled Diesel 10. "You're finished, Rosie Vulcan! You are about to be struck by the 'bullet buried in darkness', compliments of 'Gatling Dragon'!"

"Finished, you say?" gasped Rosie, but then grew defiant. "That's absurd! 'Gatling Dragon' only has 2600 Attack Points, while 'Trident Dragion', again, has 3000 Attack Points! Attacking is simply pointless!"

"You still haven't learned anything, have you?" hissed Diesel 10, licking his chompers wickedly. "I activate 'Gatling Dragon's' effect..." Another coin appeared in his good hand. "Once per turn, I can toss a coin three times and destroy as many monsters on the field as possible, but not more than the number of heads."

Rosie became worried.

"That means if I get at least one heads, I'll be able to destroy your only monster and attack you directly!"

The coin flipping began. Rosie was sweating fearfully, knowing that merely one heads would end the whole duel for her. Upon the coin landing on the palm of Diesel 10's good hand, the results was tails.

"Tails." frowned Diesel 10, before flipping the coin again. "I have two more tries."

The coin landed, again on tails. Frustrated, Diesel 10 flipped it one last time, while Rosie began to grow hopeful; maybe she was going to survive this turn, after all. The coin came down onto the palm of Diesel 10's good hand, revealing the final result to be...

"Tails!" cried Diesel 10.

Rosie breathed a sigh of relief; she was safe and could win on her coming turn.

"That was your last chance, Diesel 10." Rosie pointed out. "Since you got three tails you can't destroy any monsters with 'Gatling Dragon'."

Diesel 10 remained silent, allowing the cherry red-haired girl to continue...

"On my turn, I will have 'Trident Dragion' attack 'Gatling Dragon', taking it out and draining the last of your Life Points, thus winning me the duel! I told you I was a match for you!"

A snicker escaped from Diesel 10's mouth, causing Rosie to free a bit. The snickering grew louder and louder until Diesel 10 was laughing hysterically, causing Rosie to become worried once more and wonder - does her opponent have some sort of final strategy hidden somewhere?

"I was actually 'hoping' for a tails, you fool!" exclaimed Diesel 10. His Graveyard then started glowing. "I've one more card I would like to use before this duel is done."

A card ('Proton Blast') ejected from the Graveyard, and Diesel 10 took hold of it and held it out to show his opponent.

"I activate the effect of the 'Proton Blast' in my Graveyard!"

"What?!" cringed Rosie, becoming deeply horrified. "That's impossible! You already have 'Proton Blast' on your field!"

"Wrong!" bellowed Diesel 10, as images from his previous turns were shown around him. "I have a second copy of it! Now, allow me to tell you a little story... I could have used the first copy earlier for 'Barrel Dragon', but thanks to my successful coin flips it was unnecessary."

"I know you sent the first one to the Graveyard with 'Foolish Burial Goods'." Rosie put in, remembering the first turn.

"And I managed to set it using 'Booby Trap E'." continued Diesel 10, as more images of his previous plays were shown around him. "However, I had to discard a card to do so..." He grinned evilly. "...and that card was my second copy of 'Proton Blast'. The moment it entered my Graveyard, your fate was sealed!"

"Then this was the 'bullet buried in darkness' you were talking about!"

"It was!" The ochre-haired man confirmed. "And now, I'll activate 'Proton Blast's' effect - When an effect is activated that tosses a coin two or more times, I can Banish this card from my Graveyard and treat all the results as heads."

Rosie did not like the sound of that.

"And you know what that means, right?" continued Diesel 10. "It means the effect of 'Gatling Dragon' DOES activate! Not only will 'Trident Dragion' be destroyed, but so will 'Gatling Dragon' itself!"

"But what's the point of destroying your own monster?" argued Rosie.

"Idiot! Have you forgotten about the effect of the 'Proton Blast' still face-up on my field?"

The cherry red-haired girl then remembered the whole thing without uttering a word about it.

"That's right!" smirked Diesel 10, taking the silence as a 'yes'. "Since I've flipped at least one heads on the coin tossings, you will take 500 points of damage!" He then laughed. "That means this whole duel is done for you; I'll be the winner once I give the command to my monster to attack!"

Rosie couldn't believe it; she had lost to Diesel 10 again! Despite trying her absolute hardest, Diesel 10 had been playing around with her since the very beginning.

"Stanley..." Rosie thought to herself. "Forgive me..."

"It's time!" thundered Diesel 10, giving the command to his monster. "'Gatling Dragon', destroy 'Trident Dragion' and yourself! Finish Rosie off, now!"

'Gatling Dragon' let out a roar as it started glowing a yellow before finally exploding, taking 'Trident Dragon' with it. The powerful explosion sent a screaming Rosie flying back until she slammed into a streetlight and collapsed onto the pavement.

"And thanks to 'Proton Blast'-" reminded Diesel 10. "-you'll receive 500 points of damage."

And that was it for Rosie (LP: 450 - 0).

DUEL RESULTS: Diesel 10 wins!

The holograms faded away, and Diesel 10, having won, looked positively smug.

"I told you this duel would be as pointless as our first match." Diesel 10 grinned, cruelly mocking his defeated opponent. "Fun fact; that wasn't even my best performance - yet you still got beaten by me; the great Diesel 10."

Rosie, badly injured, tried to speak up in protest, but found herself unable to.

"Point I'm trying to make, is that you were a loser back then, and you're still a loser as of now."

Just then, Diesel 10 and Rosie both found their Bio-Bands beginning to activate, causing them to scream in pain—although in Diesel 10's case, he wasn't drained too badly compared to Rosie. Diesel 10 collapsed to a knee, clutching at his chest.

"D-Damn that...Frankie!" he complained. "Why'd she have to make me wear one of these stupid things, anyway?!"

The ochre-haired man then saw something that made him smile a bit; Rosie was now unconscious from the drainage.

"Either way, that's one of those Sodor chumps down." Diesel 10 laughed to himself. "Now to take down the others. Hmm... I might as well deliver their friend to them first - in worse condition!"

And he slowly approached the unconscious body of Rosie Vulcan. But given his dark tone in voice, I doubt that he would be delivering her 'safely'...
