Chapter 36: Kairi's Shadow
Kairi is at her room in her hotel to be out of her workout outfit to be within a simple pink sundress and fixing up her long hair to be nice and straight in her usual hime cut. "Sora and Riku, I hope they are okay out there. I am getting stronger so I would not be left behind," she thought as she sees both Serah and Prishe greeting her.
"You ready yet, we going to meet up with big sis and Aerith at the buffet," Serah said as they go out of the hotel for Kairi sees their cute outfits.
"You both look very cute," Kairi said as Sarah is wearing a white button blouse, a red skirt and white sneakers while Prishe is wearing a blue tank top and black shorts along with brown boots.
"You look nice too Kairi," Sarah said with her pink side tail brushing against the winds.
"Come on, I am so hungry. Ulmia doesn't let me pig out but with all that good food how can I refuse," Prishe skipping along with her long elven ears twitching in happiness.
"Big sis is paying for the food; we can eat as much as we like. This restaurant just opened not too long ago," the trio go down the street for the unknown young woman is observing from afar.
"Too fearful to talk with the redhead?" a mocking voice said as she turns around to see Vanitas just sitting on the edge of the building.
"What do you want, did you go do the task for the master?" she asked.
"Yep, got her Cogna module. Its all part of the grand plan after Drake and his minions bite the dust with the goody-goody brigade doing the work for us," Vanitas said.
"Indeed, no more Heartless. That seems like an impossible task," she said.
"The master always is a crazy dreamer but that doesn't matter to me," Vanitas said.
"You don't seem to care about anything," she said.
"Oh; I do, not the crazy scheme the master is cooking up. You up to test our redhead?" he asked.
"Yes, hopefully she is not disappointing," the girl said as she looks at Kairi from afar. "We both come from the same place, " the girl goes in to seek out Kairi.
The trio are talking among themselves with Prishe wanting to ask Kairi something. "Hey Kairi, are you sure you are okay?" Prishe asked.
"Yes, I am fine," Kairi said.
"Its sad to loss someone close to you, I don't want I would so if I lose Light or Snow. It would crush me," Serah said to place her hand on her chest.
"I know what you mean ponytail, Ulmia is my first friend. I will be crying in the corner if something happed wit her," Prishe said as Serah puts her hand on Kairi's shoulder.
"We are here for you, we are friends here Kairi," Serah said as Kairi nods her head with a bright smile appearing on her lips.
"Right, its funny. I don't have much female friends," she said as Prishe and Serah raise their eyebrows.
"Really?" Serah asked.
"Yeah, Selphie is my only female friend to my knowledge," Kairi said.
"We will change that," Prishe said to pat Kairi on the back to make her flinch a bit from the hard pat.
"I wonder what Riku and Sora are doing?" she wondered.
"Oh, I heard from Light that they are coming but they didn't get the keystone. The Syndicate managed to get the keystone," Serah said.
"That is too bad, we need to find the rest of the stones before they get their hands on them," she said.
"Indeed, well here we are. The Dining Roses restaurant," Serah said as Kairi is impressed by the nice yet cozy looking building.
"They have good giant fried chickens. Nothing like warm chocobo to go into your stomach," Prishe said to pat her skinny belly. The trio go inside for the mysterious girl looks down with Keyblade in hand.
The three girls come in to see both older women waiting for him. "Hey there, we warm up your seats," Aerith said sounding very friendly.
"I hope Prishe didn't distract you too long," Lightning said dryly as this got Prishe's temper flared up.
"What does that mean ice queen?" Prishe asked as she gets off the seat to greet
"So Kairi, how are you feeling?" Lightning asked as Prishe looks bothered by this.
"Hey, don't skip over me," Prishe said about to slap Lightning but she easily dodges it for the young dark elf to slip and fall onto the floor face first.
"I am fine, I want to move forward but I will miss her," Kairi said to put her hand above her heart to think fondly of Selphie.
"I see, well everything is my treat. Order what you want," Lightning said as they sit in a booth with Prishe dusting herself off to sit along them.
"Your outfits are very cute," Kairi said to see Lightning wearing a white blouse with blue jeans and Aerith wearing simple blue dress.
"Thanks," Aerith said with a smile.
"Its nice I guess," Lightning said as the girls settle in where the delicious foods of all sort are being served for them to see them all on full display.
"Yummy food. Can you smell that?" Prishe asked as her mouth is watering.
"Yes, it's pretty good. Can't wait to eat," Kairi said as a young pink haired Miqo'te waitress approaches their booth for her pink car ears twitch with her getting ready to take their orders.
"Welcome ladies. My name is Sear, and I'll serve you today. What drinks do you want?" she asked.
"I'll have a Honey Melon Juice please," Kairi said.
"And you madam," Sear asked Prishe.
"Orange Soda," Prishe said as Lightning asked for blueberry tea, Aerith wanted lemonade and Serah is getting fruit punch.
"Alright ladies enjoy your time here at the Dining Roses Buffet. I'll bring your drinks very shortly," Sear goes off.
"Alright everyone, go grab some food," Aerith said as the women separate to look for some food.
Kairi went to the food aisles with a plate picking out her food as she is deeply distracted for she picks up some food with a tall light elf male is checking Kairi out from afar.
The male is lustfully staring at the redhead's hourglass figure making her look delicious to him. Kairi can sense the man's lustful intent for she plays it cool.
"Hey there, my sexy little redhead, what's your name sweetheart," the man said as Kairi is instantly annoyed by his presence with his eyes leering at her melons clinging to her dress.
"My name is…" Kairi thinks of a name to not give her real name. "Shana," she lied to the man who is getting uncomfortably closer wanting to get his hands on a different set of buns.
"Shana huh, how about you and I go out in the alleyway and embrace our inner sexual demons," the elf's words are making Kairi very disgusted.
"Well, I already have someone I am going out with, so can you leave please," Kairi picking up more food onto her plate as the guy can't take a hint.
"How about you drop the zero and get with the hero baby," he said with Kairi not having patience for this anymore.
"Confuse," Kairi casts a spell to make the elven man forget what he was just doing.
"What the hell?" he wondered in a dreamy voice as he is constantly can be molded by mental suggestions.
"You are going to leave me alone now," she ordered.
"I'm going to leave you alone now," the man repeated sounding like he's under mind control.
"You should rethink your life and get a good girl to have lots of children," Kairi finishes her psychic suggestion.

"Gee that was a real pain," she finishes getting her meal and sitting back down at her booth with Aerith being there before her.
"Wow, you are quite the eater," Aerith notice seeing Kairi's plate is filled with 2 mini cheeseburgers, meat on a stick and three buttered rolls.
"I like good meals," Kairi said chewing on her burger enjoying the meat enflaming her taste buds with sheer pleasure. "Wow, this is very good," she said.
"You do certainly show you eat a lot," Aerith teased.
"What does that mean," Kairi having a bit of blush on her face making Aerith giggle at this.
"Gee Kairi, I'm just kidding," Aerith is eating some meat on a stick covered in BBQ sauce.
"Enjoying good food is always better with friends," Kairi finishes her burgers and drink her melon juice.
"No lie; my redheaded sister," Aerith said as the waitress comes to their booth.
"Okay how are the food ladies," Sear asked.
"Pretty good," Kairi commented as the Miqo'te gives them more drinks.
"Great," Aerith said.
"Okay ladies, I take your empty drinks," Sear grabs the glass cups as the man from before who hit on Kairi is checking out the waitress.
"You got a cute guy looking at you," Aerith pointed to the light elf male as Sear looks over at the handsome guy making her blush and her long furry tail shake with excitement along with her ears.
"Yeah he is. Have a good time, girls," Sear goes off with Serah, Lightning and Prishe arrive with their plates filled with good food.
"I am going to rip this pizza slice a new one," Prishe said to chop into the gooey cheese pizza slice. "This is so delicious," Prishe's mouth is watering quite badly as she starts chewing her pizza slices drenched in cheese and sauce.
"Thanks for treating us, big sis," Serah said as she is eating spicy sausage links.
"My pleasure," Lightning said to take a bite out of a sandwich with a roll filled with cheese and bacon . "Quite good," she said as she drinks it down with tea.
Serah looks over to see Prishe is chewing her food with reckless abandonment. "This is so yummy," Prishe said gleefully.
"I wonder sometimes where she puts it?" Serah wondered as Prishe is quite thin but is a heavy eater. "How about you and Sora, are you getting along?" she asked.
"Very well actually," Kairi slips her drink.
"He is a pretty sweet guy, always treating his girl like a princess," Serah said.
"And a soft lover in bed," Prishe teased as Kairi is getting rosy on her pale cheeks from the thought of it.
"Oh well we did some naughty things in the past but we didn't have sex yet," Kairi said flushing deep red.
"Oh well, take your time Kairi. Me and Zack took our relationship to the next level and it was magically," Aerith said with stars in her eyes just thinking about the good times.
"I know what you mean, he makes me feel so special too," Kairi places her hand between my bosom feeling her heart race at the thought of him kissing her lips which makes her spine shiver with delight. "Hey Lightning, is there someone special to you?" she asked.
"No, I am too busy taking care of sister to care about that type of stuff," Lightning said.
"Light is like a mother to me since our mother and father died when we were very young," Serah said.
"Really, I wish I knew my real parents," Kairi said.
"You don't remember your parents Kairi?" Serah asked as she shakes her head.
"No, I don't even remember where I came from. I had foster parents but they were killed when my world Destiny Island was fallen by the Heartless," Kairi said thinking fondly of them.
"I am sorry about that," Kairi said.
"Well Kairi, we have something in common. I got no parents either, they been dead for a very long time," Prishe said to bite into a drumstick.
"I wonder how long Prishe you lived for if I may ask?" Kairi asked.
"Oh over 500 years but I still look like a skinny teenager," Prishe's normally boastful tone is gone and replaced with a somber tone. "This curse is bothersome," she said to place her fingers on the dark gem under her tank top.
"Normally dark and light elves can live up to 2000 years and they go through normal aging like humans but much longer to get from child to young adult to middle age and old age in the like. And yet I still look like a teenager and I will be like this forever," Prishe said as Kairi feels guilty for her light unable to cure her of her dark curse.
Kairi places gentle hand on her shoulder. "I will keep my promise to you," Kairi said with fire into her blue eyes for Prishe has faith in her new friend.
"Thank you, its rare to find friends these days," Prishe said.
"Tell me about it," Lightning said dryly as a mysterious girl comes into the restaurant to summon her Keyblade. Lightning conjuring her Gunblade in rifle mode. "We got company," Lightning fires a bullet with the girl deflecting it with her Keyblade to rush at the girls.
Aerith magically calls her staff into her hands to make a magic barrier to block the young woman's strike to make her back up. Everyone in the building are running and screaming as they escape into the streets outside.
"Kairi, we meet at last," the girl said as her voice sounds very familiar for it matches Kairi's to a tee. Kairi's eyes widen with surprise as she fires triple pearl along with Aerith and Prishe to knock the girl away.
She easily regains her balance to be on top of a table to cast Gravity to lift all the furniture off the floor. She then send them magically at the five women with them cutting them down with their weapons with Serah pulling out her bow to shoot several magic arrows.
The girl deflect them away with her Keyblade for the arrows explode around her to send her flying out of the restaurant. "Who is that?" Serah wondered as Kairi has a bad feeling about this.
The mysterious girl regain her footing to land on the sideway to be left unharmed by the blast. The five meet the girl outside to be left dumbfounded on why she is here. Kairi looks onto her Keyblade to be even more shocked.
"Who are you?" Kairi asked as she was wearing a hood blocking the view of her face.
"If you wish Kairi," the girl said as she pulls down her hood for Kairi is shaken beyond her belief to see the young woman having the same face as her own despite her hair is black and short. Even her body type looks the same as Kairi's. "My name is Xion and I am your shadow Kairi," Xion said as she wields her Keyblade called Dusk Till Dawn to get into combat stance.
"What," Kairi is standing there stunned with Aerith blocking incoming spell with her magic barrier.
"Kairi, stay focus. It's weird but I don't want your head getting blown off," Aerith said.
"I don't want to kill Kairi, I want to test her," Xion said as she freezes all the girls beside Kairi in blocks of ice to engage with Kairi to cross Keyblades with her redheaded twin.
"Why do you know me and why do you look like me?" Kairi asked as she gets blown away by Xion's Aero spell. Kairi gets back onto her feet to fire several Firaga spells with Xion casting Reflect to bounce them back at Kairi. Kairi cast Magnet to trap the spells within a sphere to see them explode to make Kairi recoil backwards onto the streets.
"I know what you are Kairi, more than you can possibly imagine," Xion said as she unleash a barrage of Balloonga spells with Kairi with the orbs destroying sections of the buildings and pavement. Despite Kairi thinking that this copycat is lying but deep down she senses the truth within her words.
"I finally have a lead on what I am and where I come from," Kairi thought as she is dodging incoming fireballs and icicles. She brings up a barrier but it gets smashed by a powerful Flare spell to knock her through a window to crash onto a bed.
"Oh Kairi, we come from the same cloth. It's all connected to your past within the halls of a castle in the broken world and your light to be used as a weapon for someone else's gains," Xion leaps through the broken window as Kairi avoids her Ruin spell which destroyed the bed.
"Stop talking in riddles," Kairi said as she and Xion are clashing Keyblades and spells with the house getting turned into a hailstorm of destruction. "She is very strong," Kairi thought as she fires a close range Pearl to send her out of the building.
"Hey, you can't be bullying our friend," Prishe comes in with a flying kick to hit Xion in the head to send her flying into an empty building causing it to collide on top of her. Lightning and Serah fire their magical projectiles to hold off Xion.
Aerith comes by Kairi to heal her wounds with a Cure spell. "You okay, sorry about the delay," Aerith said.
"No problem, things are becoming more problematic," Kairi said as Xion vaporizes the rubble with her magic as she unleash a massive gust of wind to blow the trio away.
"Gravity Mines," Lightning cast her spell to let out several small orbs of purple energy to seek out Xion. She tries to destroy them but its nail in the left leg and then her right leg to pin her to the ground.
"Ruinga," both Lightning and Serah let out powerful magic missiles to pepper the Keyblade wielder with Prishe getting a strong uppercut.
"Dragon Kick," Prishe powers up her leg and leaps up to deliver an upward kick to launch Xion into the air.
"They are stronger than I thought," Xion thought as she fire several beams of ice with Lightning deflecting them with her Gunblade to get the blade section frozen solid.
"Banishga," Prishe conjures a few balls of light to strike at Xion but she vanish for they hit an illusion. Xion reappears behind Serah to whack her in the back several times and fire close range Aeroga to launch onto the pavement to bounce several times until hitting a bush.
"I don't have time for you all, Kairi is who I care about," Xion said as she uses Stop to freeze them in place for only a short while.
"Xion," Kairi said as she is the only one moving to wield her Destiny's Embrace. "Are you working with the Syndicate?" she asked as she resumes fighting Xion with her shooting spells at with as Xion deflect them away with ease.
"No, I have nothing to do with the mad elf. He is not my problem," Xion said as she cast a barrier on Kairi to trap her in a magic bubble and then make it implode to cause Kairi a lot of pain.
"Answer me, who am I?" she demanded.
"You will have to find out yourself. You are what I was supposed to be, an agent of light to clash with an agent of darkness to open a pathway that will allow my master to change the worlds forever," Xion said.
"Great more riddles," Kairi said getting frustrated.
"I am here to observe your powers and there are getting there. I must take my leave, we will again Kairi and I will not go easy on you and your friends" Xion said to teleport away from the battlefield.
Aerith and the others manage to break out of the spell to see the black haired girl disappear in a flash.
"That was fucking weird, she looked and sounds like you Kairi," Prishe said to brush herself off to suffer not much damage from the fight.
"Weird indeed," Aerith said as Lightning goes over to her sister Serah looks pretty banged up.
"Hey Serah, are you okay?" she asked sounding concerned for Serah felt her leg is sore.
"Its nothing Light, just a busted up leg and some bruises," Serah said.
"Well our little girly get together was a total bust," Prishe said.
"Yeah but it was fun while it lasted," Aerith said as Kairi gets a psychic call from Umiko.
"What is going on, Leon mention about explosions in Traverse Town," Umiko said.
"Well you wouldn't believe it," Kairi said as she explains what happened with Xion.
"A new Keyblade wielder and someone who looks like you. Riku and Sora encounter another Keyblade wielder within the world of Futurepolis who has a similar voice to Sora," Umiko said as Kairi feels even more confused by all this craziness.
"Seriously?" Kairi asked.
"Yes ,but I have found a Lux Crystal on the world of Arendelle. Its quite snowy there, so prepare a heat spell to not get frostbite. Also, there is strong presence of darkness there, it has nothing to do with my brother but its worth stomping out from becoming a future problem," Umiko said.
"Okay," Kairi said. "Hey, you guys want to come on a mission with me, I need the backup," Kairi said as Riku and Sora are not available now.
"I am game Kairi," Prishe said.
"Yes, I would like to see some new sights," Aerith said.
"I will come and provide backup," Lightning said.
"I will go too," Serah said as she felt aches all over her body.
"No, you stay here and rest up. Me, Prishe, Aerith and Kairi can handle this," Lightning said as Serah yields to her big sister.
"Fine, just be careful Light," Serah said to hug her sister.
"I will," Lightning said as they get their gear and prepare to go to the frozen world of Arendelle.
Elsewhere within Arendelle within a massive ice castle on top of the highest mountain to have a young woman within her room with a dark looming shadow behind her. "Remember my dear Elsa, I am the one who kept you safe from those bastards who saw you as a monster. Keep yourself to the grounds of the castle for your own safely," the female voice said.
"Yes Miss Shiva, I am grateful for your kindness.. I will not forget it," Elsa said as the tall blue skinned woman donned with a beautiful blue ballgown to be behind Elsa to grab her shoulders firmly to have a soft smile.
"What a foolish girl, soon her heart will weaken and then her body will be my vessel. All of Arendelle will be my personal kingdom captured in ice forever," Shiva said for a devilish intent underneath the kind smile.
A/N: Xion is in this as well who will be a villain alongside Vanitas. Also, we are going to the Frozen world Arendelle with a dark twist to the story along with an Evil Shiva being the main villain of this arc.
