Chapter 39: Heart of Ice Pt 3
Within the icy palace on top of the mountain, Elza is in her room as she sense her hostess Shivver teleporting behind her to place her hand on her shoulder. "I think you heard your sweet little sister is looking for you," Shivver said as she felt Elza's body shiver in fear.
"No, she isn't supposed to come here," Elza said sounding very worried. "There are monsters in the mountains, she can get hurt," Elza said to hang her head in shame.
"Don't worry, I will not hurt her. You will get to see here again," Shivver said as she summons the Magus Sisters.
"You called mistress?" Sandy asked as the three women bow their heads to her.
"Yes, I want you to save poor Anna and bring her here. I want the sisters to have a warm reunion," Shivver said.
"Of course," Sandy said as the three vanish into dark portals.
"I hope she is okay," Elza said.
"Don't worry my dear, I am here for you," the Esper woman said as she hides a vicious smile on her beautiful snow white skinned face. "Soon, her body will be my new vessel once my plan is complete and Anna is the key to that plan's success," Shivver said.
Elsewhere Kairi, Anna and the others are within the snowy forest with Kristoff and Sven leading them through. Anna looks at Aerith to see the pink bow tied into her ponytail. "Hy Aerith, that is very cute," she pointed at her pink bow which matches perfectly with her pink dress.
"Oh; thank you. Its my favorite, I wear it everywhere I go," Aerith said.
"Who gave it to you?" Anna asked as Aerith has a frown on her face.
"My old boyfriend Zack gave it to me, on our first date," Aerith said in a sorrow tone as Anna felt guilty bring it up.
"Oh, I am sorry," Anna said as Aerith shakes her head.
"No; its okay, you didn't know. It's a treasure I hold dear to her heart. One of the few things I can remember him by," Aerith said.
"Who is this Zack?" Anna asked.
"He was a village bumpkin who wanted to become a hero. He was a true blue good guy who will defends his friends and family but he loss his life to someone he trusted," Aerith said as the image of Sephiroth popped into her head for she felt very bitter about it.
"Wow, its too bad. He seems like the total opposite of Hans, I wish I can find someone like that," Anna said as Kristoff listens to this.
"Seems like a good guy, barely anyone like that around these days," Kristoff said.
"Indeed, do you have a boyfriend Kairi?" Anna asked as Kairi beams with a big smile.
"Yes, his name is Sora. He been my friend since we were kids and now we are a couple. He is brave, sweet and kind. He even made this as a gift," Kairi moves her head to show Anna the crystal harpin among her lush red hair.
"Wow, that looks so pretty. He made that for you," Anna said liking the way it was made into a small icy flower.
"Yep, he is a total sweetheart. I hope you get to meet him one day," Kairi said.
"Wow, you speak highly of him," Anna said.
"Of course, I do, he means the world to me. I have been in love with him since I was a kid and this feeling only got stronger over the years. If something happened to him, I would loss a part of myself," Kairi said with a passionate tone as this Anna quite envious of Kairi's pure love for Sora.
"Oh, I wish I had a deep passion for someone," Anna said as Kristoff looks back at her for Lightning caught this.
"Who knows, your prince charming can be just around the corner," Kristoff said.
"What does that mean beefcake?" Prishe asked.
"Well Anna is a pretty cute girl and has a lovely smile, who would like her," Kristoff said as Anna's eyes brighten up by this.
"Oh, you think I am cute and a nice smile," Anna said as she is blushing for Kristoff glows red as well.
"Oh no, I didn't mean it like that," Kristoff putting up his guard but it was too late all the girls can see it now.
"Right big guy sure, you and pigtails hitching up and making babies," Prishe said as both blush even further.
"Hey Prishe, this is embarrassing," Anna said sounding flushed for they sense something nearby.
"Heartless," Kairi said as they see a tall Shiva Heartless appearing before them for several ice spikes shoot out of the ground with them avoiding it. Anna falls on her rear on the snow as Krissoff raises his bag to block an ice needle that pierce it barely touching his face.
"Anna," Kristoff said to help her up to check her for wounds. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yes, I am fine," Anna said as the Shiva is unleashing a barrage of ice needles with Aerith protecting Anna, Kristoff and Sven with a barrier.
"Get somewhere safe," Aerith said as she is cast multiple Pearl spells with the Shiva using an energy barrier to shield itself from her spells. Shiva summons a big icy tornado to slam into Prishe to launch her into a tree and covered in bloody cuts from the flying ice shards.
Kairi fires Firaga spells as Shiva is flying out of the path of the big fireballs. It encases Kairi in a block of ice and make it explode sending Kairi flying into the snow. Lightning is firing bullets with Shiva's icy shield protecting it from harm.
"Sun Dive," Lightning jumps up and smashes her Gunblade onto the ground to create fire pillars out of the snow. Shiva is spins around to cast a fierce blizzard which is cold enough to cancel out the fiery towers.
It hits its orb shaped hands together to create a shockwave to shatter the frozen fire pillars. It fires a beam of ice from one of its hands at Aerith as she puts up a barrier but it breaks it and turns Aerith into an ice statue.
"Aerith, Lighting and Prishe cover me. I am going to heal Aerith," Kairi rushes to her as Lighting and Prishe cast spells but the Heartless is easily dodging them.
"You got it red, stay still ice cream head," Prishe goes in as Lighting is firing her Gunblade in rifle mode with Prishe evading incoming ice spikes but some manage to nail her deep in the chest.
Kairi looks on in horror to see the spikes sticking out the other side and her blood seeping on the snow. "Prishe," Kairi stopped to be beside Aerith ready to use an Esuna spell to heal her frozen state.
Prishe goes on without a hitch and uppercuts the Heartless. Then she kicks the barrier with enough force to break it and send it back onto the ground. "Kairi, I can't die remember. Dark curse," Prishe said as she pulls out the ice spikes for her wounds begin to heal themselves.
"Oh right, I forget that in the moment," Kairi said as she cast Esuna to free Aerith from her ill state.
"Thank you Kairi, this thing is pretty strong," Aerith said as she block incoming beams of ice with a stronger magic barrier.
Lighting is deflecting incoming ice needles with the Shiva Heartless going towards Anna, Kristoff and Sven. "Look out," Lightning shouted as a big beam of ice knocks the three towards the edge of a cliff almost about to fall.
"Light," Anna said as the edge is breaking apart.
"Anna," Lightning rushes in and leaps toward them as all four of them fall into the depths below.
"Oh no, Lightning and the others fall off the cliff," Kairi said as they disappear but they are still fighting off this powerful Heartless. "Aeroga," she sends out twin twisters to cut through the fields of snow.
Kairi's spells traps the Heartless into a combined tornado with Aerith and Prishe using light spells to pound away at the creature. Kairi fires a Holy Flame to hit the dark being to engulf it with a pillar of white fire to kill it instantly.
"Oh boy, that Shiva Heartless went too far," a small voice said as two figures appear before the trio.
"You must be Sandy and Mindy, you are with Cindy, Aerith said.
"Oh yeah, thunder tits is going after the princess. We are going to deal with you," Mindy said as she wields her twin daggers in her combat stance.
"She is right, we are here to kill you three. You will not get in the way of our mistress's wishes," Sandy said to summon her spear to go into combat stance as well.
"And more crap to fight," Prishe said as the three get ready to fight some more.
Elsewhere Lightning manage to save the others with some magic as they are deep within an ice cave. Lightning is on a pile of snow to see the others are okay. "Hey, you guys alright?" she asked as Anna gets up,.
"Yeah, we are fine," Anna said as Kristoff is back on his feet as well.
"Gee, that was one hell of a fall," Kristoff said as they seem lost within the ice cave.
"Well we need to find a way out of here," Anna said as they begin to walk into the icy caverns. "Hey Light, I wonder. What is your sister Serah like?" Anna asked to wonder what her idol's sister is like.
"She is sweet, strong willed, mature and an optimist. She is a straight A student with her main subject being history, she wants to be a kindergarten teacher along with marrying my new brother in law Snow," Lightning said.
"Wow, she sounds amazing and you must be happy seeing her get married," Anna said.
"Not a first, Snow is a bit of an idiot but his heart is in the right place and deeply cares about Serah. So, despite my misgivings, he and her were destined to be together," Lightning said.
"Wow, Kairi and now Serah. I wish I had someone like that," Anna said to look at Kristoff to show more interest as the journey went on. She noticed he saved her from that weird monster and she felt something between them. "So, where do you come from Kristoff?" she asked as Kristoff hesitates a bit but his reindeer Sven urges him on to see the connection between the duo grow throughout the trip.
"Well I don't know anything about my real parents or where I come from. I was an orphan and I was dumped in an orphanage with no credit to my name. I always go outside and exploring the wilderness since being in that place is miserable. I always look to the Arendelle's team of Ice Harvesters and look to their work ethics to become one myself in the future," Kristoff said as Anna felt guilty since she didn't know he had a tough life.
"Oh; I am sorry, I didn't mean to bring up bad memories," she said as Kristoff shakes his head.
"No, it's okay, when I was traveling in the woods. I found a young reindeer and nurse him back to health from an illness. That is where I met Sven and we became best friends ever since," he said as he pet his reindeer to let out a soft groan to nod in agreement.
"Interesting, no wonder you two seem so close," Anna said as Sven let's Anna pet him on his furry head.
"Yeah, then we manage to find a place called the Valley of the Living Rock where there is a group of magic trolls living there. Me and Sven were raised by my foster mother and father who lived there, I am grateful to them," Kristoff said as Lightning raises her pink eyebrow at this.
"Trolls?" she asked.
"Yeah but I went off to do my dream and left them to go my own way but I do see them from time to time, Due to my upbringing, I used to see humans in a bad light but from seeing you girls especially you Anna, not all humans are bad like Hans was," Kristoff said as he looks into her eyes for they lock into place for both of their hearts were racing.
Anna has a big blush on her face as with Kristoff mirroring her flush. "Good, I am grateful you trust me with your past," Anna said trying to act princess-like but trips on a rock to fall into Kristoff's big arms.
"Hey, you okay?" he asked sounding worried.
"Well yeah I am fine," Anna said in a bashful way for Lightning makes a fake cough to break up the tension.
"Oh sorry, we should keep moving," Kristoff said acting bashful as well for Lightning can see a lot of similarities between Snow and Serah and Kristoff and Anna.
"Like it rhymes or something like that," Lightning said as they noticed something for a portal appears with a curvaceous woman with a scythe in hand coming in to knock Anna through the portal to disappear inside.
"Anna," both Lightning and Kristoff said as Cindy appears with a smile on her face.
"Well I made my delivery for the day and now I will finish you all off," Cindy said to wield her weapon with Lightning getting in front of Kristoff and Sven.
"Get back, I got this," Lightning said to wield her Gunblade. "I will make you pay for taking Anna away," Light said as the busty woman has a smirk on her face.
"Sure pinky, I will gladly sever your head from your skinny neck," Cindy said as she propels herself with magic to clash with Lightning.
Back with Kairi and the others, Kairi is dealing with Mindy with Prishe and Aerith deal with Sandy. Kairi is blocking incoming swift dagger slashes with Mindy getting on top of Kairi. Mindy putting her thin legs around her neck and tossing her across the field.
"Balloonga," Kairi is tossing several magic orbs to seek out the little Esper. Mindy tosses her magic daggers but all the spells burst apart and make more smaller ones to strike her at once. "Magnet," Kairi sets a magical orb to pull Mindy in while she is stunned. She cast more fireballs to land their hits as Mindy dispels the spell to let her go free.
"Icy Barrage," Mindy is slashing the air to let out cold energy crescents. "Slow," Mindy cast a time spell to make Kairi move very slowly as she gets hit by the attacks to knock her into the snow.
"Dispel," Kairi got rid of a slow status as Mindy cast Haste on herself to go at rapid speeds to look like a blur from a distance. "Zero Gravity," Kairi put the speedy youngster in a bubble of gravitational energy.
"What," Mindy said as she sees Kairi nail her with a fireball to launch her into a tree.
"Take this," Kairi fires a Flare that manages to score a hit and make Mindy disappear to see her Magicite breaking from the spell.
"Little sister, you will pay for this," Sandy said as she is unleashing a barrage of ice chucks with Aerith blocking them with her defensive shields and Prishe dodging her incoming spear strikes.
"Rapid Assault," Sandy is letting out a swift series of thrusts to get into Prishe's body and then the last one knocks her away. Aerith uses a barrier to trap the Esper inside to make it implode as Prishe punches her in the chest to launch her into a tree.
Sandy evades a light from both women and jump kicks Aerith to knock her into the snow while she engages with Prishe. Prishe takes a spear to the chest but bares the pain as she grabs the spear and sends the Esper flying into tree.
Sandy is disarmed as Prishe tosses the spear into the Esper woman's chest to impale her there. The Esper chokes up blood to fall onto the snow. "Shit, well it doesn't matter anyway. Anna has gone to my mistress's castle and will be a sacrifice to make Elsa a vessel for my mistress," Sandy said as she disappears and her Magicite breaks.
"Crap, we need to get Ice Queen and beefcake ASAP," Prishe said as Kairi goes into her Divine State to fly down the cliff to search for the others.
"I will bring back Lightning, Sven and Kristoff," Kairi said to go down the cliff to fly into the caverns below via icy hole.
Lightning is dueling with Cindy as the Esper woman is strike steel with steel as Cindy is slicing the air with multiple energy crescents.
Lightning evades through the barrage as she cuts into the woman's body with her Gunblade as she blast her several times to see the Esper wince in pain.
"Shit," Cindy said as she is drawing blood from her wounds as she is summoning pillars of ice from the ground as Lightning is using them to jump towards the Esper.
She slams her weapon onto the ground to scatter the pillars and makes all the ice shards seek out Lightning.
Lightning is running away as a wave of ice shards are following her. "Firaga," Lightning blows them away with a mighty fireball to turn them all into water. She gathers them into a single point in her rifle as she dodges incoming energy attacks.
Cindy goes in to swing her scythe as Lightning runs up the ice wall to flip behind her to unleash her final move. "Dodge this, Aqua Laser," Lightning fires a powerful water beam at point blank range to score a hit on Cindy to push her deep into the ice wall making it collapse on top of her ending the fight quickly.
Suddenly a weird piece of rock lands in front of Lightning to feel power emitting from it. She picks it up to store it in her skirt pocket and goes up to the Esper woman to see she is on the verge of death. "Well win or lose. It doesn't matter, my mistress will have a new vessel and Anna will be the key to that," Cindy said as she turns into a small crystal and breaks into many pieces.
"Glad that is over," Lightning said as Kairi appears in her Divine State.
"Oh; thank goodness. You three are okay and it looks Anna being taken is true. We need to go," Kairi to cast Zero Gravity to put the three of them in gravity sphere to magically lift them out of there back with Aerith and Prishe waiting for her.
"Anna is gone, we need to save her from this mistress," Kristoff said feeling determined to find her despite the dangers.
"You know, its going to get dangerous. Those women were tough but their mistress will be even stronger. She is the cause of the darkness of this world," Kairi said.
"I don't care, I need to make sure she is safe," Kristoff said as Lightning looks on with a small smile on her face.
"Just like Snow would do for Serah. Going headfirst into harm's way. Be damned the dangers ahead," Lightning thought. "Let's go and save Elsa and Anna from this nightmare together," Lightning said as the strange rock is pulsing mystical energy from her words of strong conviction.
