Chapter 40: Heart of Ice Pt 4
Within Elsa's personal chambers, she is sitting on her chair reading a book to have deep worry for her little sister. "Oh Anna, why did you appear here?" she questioned as a portal opens within the room to see Anna stumble onto the floor.
"Oh shoot, clumsy me," Anna said to get on her feet to brush off her dress to have a smile on her face to see her big sister there. "Oh Elsa, I am so happy to see you," she said to go hug her big sister.
"Why are you here, this is dangerous," Elsa warned despite liking the warm hug. "I miss this so badly," Elsa thought secretly being happy to see her younger sister but she puts up her stern face to hide it.
"I am here to save you and have you stop the frozen curse on the land," Anna said as Elsa looks confused by this.
"What are you talking about?" Elsa asked.
"This crazy blizzard is your doing, its burying the kingdom," Anna said as Elsa feels even more helpless by this.
"I don't know," Elsa said.
"What?" Anna asked.
"I don't know, I am losing control of my magic. I am a danger to everyone, I guess being a demon is true. I bring nothing but misery with these powers," Elsa said as the dark Shiva is watching from a magic mirror to look at the scene.
"Only a matter of time until Elsa breaks her will and then I make my move," Shivver said.
"No, they are wrong. You are not a demon; you are a good person. You need to fight this, you are not safe here with this mistress person," Anna said.
"That is none of your concern," Elsa said.
"This is my concern; she wants to use you for something and its not good. We have to go out of here," Anna said as Elsa is beginning to lose control of her powers.
"I can't, you have to leave," Elsa said.
"I am not leaving you here. Family has to stick together, no matter what," Anna said as her voice has a firm tone to it.
"Oh Anna, you have grown up to become a strong woman and I didn't get to see it," Elsa thought to feel proud of her but she can't show emotional weakness to this. "This is for my own good due to what I done," Elsa's ice around her is pulsing energy as her stress is rising from her sister's stubbornness.
"We can face this together as sisters," Anna grabs her hand as she felt deep frost on it as she backs away.
"Anna, I am sorry. You need to go," Elsa said as she trying to hold back her power but she is losing control of herself.
"I can't," Anna said as suddenly Elsa unleash her ice magic to spread all over the room for Anna gets catch in it. An ice bolt strikes her in the chest as her heart get it hard by it as Elsa looks on in horror to see she got caught in the crossfire.
"Anna," Elsa goes up to her to see her body is beginning to frost and her hair becoming snow white. "Oh no, this is my fault," Elsa said with guilt overwhelming her body.
"Sister, I don't care about your powers. Please come back to me," Anna places her hands on sister's cheeks for Elsa feels her hands getting colder by the minute.
"No, this is all my fault. Oh, my baby sister, she is dying because of me," Elsa said shedding tears onto Anna's face with her heart poisoned with guilt and despair.
"Yes, yes! Your guilt will be the ark that will let me take you as a vessel," Shivver said as a crystal pops out of the magic mirror to slam onto Elsa. Shivver Shiva's Magicite embedded into Elsa's chest to take over her whole body.
"Sister?" Anna asked as Elsa has a big evil grin on her face for this has shaken Anna to the core.
"Oh; so sad, you were hellbent on saving her but your actions do the exact opposite. Oh, the irony, you served your purpose and now you will die a cold death," Shivver said speaking through Elsa's voice which is now distorted and demonic.
She summons a portal to jump through to leave Anna sitting in the room alone. "Damn it, I can't give up. I have to save my big sister no matter what," Anna struggles to get up as she moves into the ice place to find a way of there.
Kairi, Lightning and the others manage to make it to the ice palace to sense something is very wrong. "Anna," Kristoff shouted but they were met by Elsa. "There is Queen Elsa but something is wrong with her," he said.
"Don't bother, your little princess is blessed with a frozen curse by Elsa through her heart via her powers going out of control," Elsa said but all of them can tell this isn't Elsa.
"You must be the mistress of these mountains?" Kairi asked as she points her Keyblade at the person who is not Elsa.
"Smart girl, I am Shivver Shiva. I am of the Silva Tribe and I claim the queen of Arendelle's body as my own," Shivver said as Elsa's body is being morphed by her magic to change it to her liking. "I will turn this whole world into an ice box and I will rule all of it," Shivver said.
"Not on my watch," Lightning said as they draw their weapons.
Shivver new body has changed to her liking which has her having long blue hair, snow white skin with blue veins pulsing against the skin and her eyes glowing red. She is wearing a blue armored gown with dark blue knee-high armored boots and a white long coat. She is wielding a long icy rapier for dark energy covers her whole body.
"Prepare yourselves, you will be the first victims of my rule as queen of this world," Shivver said to point her rapier as she gets into a combat stance.
"Not on your life snowball," Prishe said as the four women engage with the Esper as Shivver is unleashing barrages of Blizzaza as she left massive icy explosions to tear up the mountainside. Aerith uses a Reflega to deflect it but its overwhelmed by Shivver sheer magical might as Aerith gets tosses onto the snow.
"Oh, this is so good. My power combined with Elsa, I am unstoppable," Shivver evades both Prishe, Kairi and Lightning use attacks and spells. She uses her rapier to gracefully block and evade their combined assault with little effort.
She gets into Kairi's guard and stabs her several times until her final thrust nails her. Kairi puts up an energy shield at the last minute to block it but the recoil makes her tumble onto the ground.
"Ice Rush," Shivver cloaks herself in ice energy to dash at the dark elf with her rapier tearing through her body with each passing. The last passing slams her blade into Prishe's chest seeing her flying into a tree.
"Firaga," both Kairi and Lightning cast their fiery spells but Shivver summons an ice wall which blocks it showing no damage from it.
Aerith traps Shivver in a sphere of light as Lightning cast down lightning bolts onto the evil Esper. Shivver melts into the snow below her to disappear out of the sphere.
"Where did she go?" Prishe asked as her wounds already healed. Shivver leaps out of the snow for a massive ice crystal appears below her feet. She sets off the ice crystal like a grenade for waves of ice chucks smash into the women with fearsome force.
"Oh; come on ladies, keep up or you will die," Shivver is dueling with Lightning with the two women cross steel with blows and spells crisscrossing the battlefield.
"Ruinga," Lightning letting out several bolts of magical energy to pepper the mountains. Light is using multiple magic bolts to home in on Shivver but the swordswoman easily dodges her spells to counter by shooting a beam of ice at Lightning.
Aerith goes in to bring up a barrier but the energy attack punches through the shield and propels her onto the dirt.
Lightning is wielding her Gunblade to clash with Shivver but quickly Shivver overpowers Light in a duel. She knocks Lightning's Gunblade out of her hand while she kicks Lightning in the head knocking her onto the ground.
Lightning is missing her Gunblade as well as she gets onto her feet but she sees a horrible sight. Shivver is holding her weapon in rifle and aiming it at her chest. The dark Silva is getting a warm feeling in her chest to see Lightning's face etched in fear.
"You drop something," Shivver said with a small smile to fire the gun and the bullet cuts through Lightning's chest. She drops onto the ground with blood pouring out the exit wound in her back.
"Lightning," Kairi shouted as she is conjuring more fireballs with the female fencer cutting the spells down and knocking Kairi onto the grass.
"You have become annoying," Shivver about to strike Kairi down but Prishe came in and block the killing blow.
"Kairi, I am not going to let you die," Prishe said.
"Get out of my way, elven trash," Shivver said as Prishe is launching several magical light spears with the fencer dodging her attacks.
"Prishe don't," Aerith said as both Kairi and Prishe are fighting the enemy but are beat back.
"1000 Stabs," Shivver is unleashing a lightning fast series of thrusts with Prishe trying to deflect them. Shivver increases her thrusts until it was too much for Prishe to handle and she gets stab many times until the last thrust tear through her throat.
"Prishe, no!" Kairi screamed in agony as Prishe looked lifeless as the blade is through her throat like she was piece of meat on a stick.
"Pathetic," Ophelia kicks Prishe and get impaled on a spike of ice with her blood seeping into the snow.
"You bitch. You will pay for that, Divine State activate," Kairi said feeling very upset about this as her long hair glows yellow to unleash many spells trying to overwhelm the evil icy Esper.
"Doesn't matter, they were weak and pay for that," Shivver said as Kairi's boost in power is able to keep up with Shivver.
"Why is this Shiva so strong, it must be her using Elsa's magic and body to enhance her natural ice powers to the extreme," Aerith said. "Kairi, we need to get Elsa separate from Shivver. Use your light to purge her out of Elsa," Aerith said as she goes over to Prishe to see her condition to remover her from the ice spike.
She is not dead due to being immortal but has suffered massive amounts of blood loss and has blacked out taking her out of the fight.
"Oh; I see, but I need her to hold still for me to do it," Kairi said as she is evading Shiver's sword strikes with Kairi casting Aeroga to blow the evil Shiva away,
Elsewhere Anna is going down the stairs to hear the battle outside as the curse is slowing taking over her body as her legs are getting weaker. "I have to get out there and stop Elsa," Anna said as she looks upon a small crystal making her warm for a moment.
"This looks important," she grabs the crystal for it made her feel better as she rushes off to meet the others. She looks out the window to see the horrible destruction this Shivver is doing using Elsa's body and powers as her own.
She sees Lightning is bleeding out in the snow and Prishe face first in the ground. "This is bad," Anna thought as she gets out of the castle. "Kairi, catch," Anna tosses the crystal as her body submits to the pain of her curse rapidly.
"Thanks," Kairi said as she grabs the crystal which is a Lux crystal. "Perfect," she absorbs its light into her own to feel refresh and gotten stronger as a result.
"Anna," Kristoff and Sven go over to her to see her body becoming very pale and shaking from her deep frost within herself.
"Kristoff," she said as he looks scared half to death seeing her like this and feeling helplessly to save her.
"Don't say anything, just keep warm," Kristoff said to keep her in a tight hug as Sven using his furry body to keep Anna warm as well.
"This is madness," Anna said as Kristoff looks onto the battlefield and he can't believe what he is seeing with his own eyes.
"Yeah, I share the same thought," he said as Kairi is fighting Shivver with Aerith giving magical support.
Shivver kick Kairi in the knee to make her buck over and blast her with a Blizzaza spell to launch her into a bunch of trees.
Shivver is slice up Pearl spells from Aerith. "Diamond Dust," the dark Shiva blows her cold blue lips to send a wave of cold winds to chill Aerith to slow her down and soon turn her into a block of ice. Shivver snaps her fingers to see it scatter as Aerith took the full hit and gets knocked out to take her out of the fight.
"This isn't good," Anna said as Lightning sees Anna is in pain to hold onto her chest wound for her uniform is stained with her own blood.
"Anna, I need to do this. To save you and Elsa," Lightning said as she coughs up blood onto the white snow. Suddenly power is consuming her body as the rock in her pocket is glowing bright. "What is this?" she wondered as she is consumed by light to be encase in a shell of energy.
Kairi, Shivver, Kristoff and Anna look on with confusion. "What is going on?" Anna asked as power is surging throughout the whole area shaking and the ice palace breaks down from the quake.
Within a fog of light, Lightning looks upon an armored figure riding on a horse. "I find you interesting woman, such conviction why that is?" he asked as his voice boomed in the endless white void.
"I see myself in Elsa, I used to believe that protecting my sister means distancing myself from her. This isn't true it only made it more painful for the both of us," Lightning places her hand on her chest. "I want to show Elsa this truth so she and her sister can be happy together as a family. That loneliness is too much to bear alone," Lightning said.
"I see, your heart has called upon me. What do you want to use my power for?" he asked.
"I want to save Elsa for Anna's sake. I don't want Elsa to repeat the mistakes I had with Serah," Lightning said.
"I see, you are the right choice to wield my power. I Odin will make you my vessel for my Magicite," Odin said as the sphere explodes with power with an image of Odin appearing to emit from the bright light.
"No, this can't be. The Great Esper Odin, the divine warrior king," Shivver looks on with deep disbelief. Anna's eyes at the name for smile creeps onto her face.
"Odin, the Allfather. Like in the old stories but Lightning is calling upon his power," Anna said as hope filled her lungs to see Lightning emerge from the light cocoon.
Lightning wears a silver and gold Valkyrie-like suit of armor with a shield on her left arm along with her Gunblade morphing into a double edged sword while keeping its functions.
"Wow, she looks like a Valkyrie in the books and the paintings," Anna said looks on with amazement as she gets closer to her own death.
"With the power of Odin, I will save Elsa for Anna's sake. That is a promise. Prepare yourself, Kairi let's go," Lightning said with Odin's Magicite embedded on the back of her right hand as Kairi is right beside her.
"Right, remember we need to take the Shiva out of Elsa's body before we can kill her," Kairi said as Light nods her head.
"Right," the two women go on in as they are keeping up with Shivver for she is surprised the amount of strength both females are showing now.
"Mighty Guard and Aura," Lightning cast spells on herself and Kairi to empower them with various buffs like increasing defense, speed, power and magic. Shivver is casting Glacier as a giant spike of ice shoots out of the ground to explode but Kairi and Lightning were left unharmed.
"Gravity Mines," Lightning said as she fire orbs of purple energy to strike at her limbs to make her stay in place.
"Time to purge this evil from Elsa," Kairi summons her inner light and focuses into a beam from her Keyblade to strike Shivver's chest for her control over Elsa's body is weakening
"What, my control is slipping away," Shiva emits a blast of frost to knock Kairi away to break her beam. "I will not let you take this from me," she said as she use her rapier to strike at Kairi but Lightning blocks it with her shield to counterattack with multiple sword stabs to knock the Esper away.
Lightning backs away to cast a spell. "Thor's Hammer," Lightning conjures a massive bolt of lightning to strike at Shivver to heavily damage her and stun her in place.
Kairi begins to purge Shivver out of Elsa's body with her light as Shivver has real fear in her eyes for she feels her control slipping away.
"No, get away," Shivver unleash waves of frost to Kairi back but she holds strong trying her best to take the evil Esper out of Elsa's body.
"Ullr's Shield," Lightning cast a spell on Kairi to further boost her magic and physical defenses while healing her wounds.
"Die," Shivver fires another Blizzaza at Kairi but Lightning defended her by absorbing the ice spell into her shield and redirecting it into a ball of energy to slam into the Esper further weakening.
"Elsa, come on out," Kairi focus all her light into the beam as she finally purge the evil from Elsa's heart freeing her from her prison. The Shiva falls onto the snow to looks very angry.
"You little bitch, if I can't have Elsa and none of you will have her," Shivver wields her rapier as she goes for Elsa's head.
"No," Anna rushes out with Kristoff looks on in horror.
"Anna wait," he said to run after her with everything around Anna in slow motion.
"No Elsa, I will protect you this now," Anna said as she goes in with her body now submitting to the frozen curse. She gets in front of Elsa and becomes fully frozen with Shivver's weapon striking at Anna's frozen body to break. The force of the blow knocks Shivver into the snow.
"Time to end this, Legion of One," Lightning's body emitting a magical aura with her Gunblade empowered with Odin's power. She goes in to dash at the Esper to slash her with her sword as she performs several high speed sword lunges. She launches her in the air to leap up and slash her upward and then a powerful downward slash to sever her in half.
"This ends now!" Lightning falls and drives her blade into the ground to unleash a big pillar of light to catch the broken Esper to vaporize her into dust. Her Magicite falls in the air and scatters into pieces against the icy winds.
"Lightning, that was nuts,' Kairi said as Lightning reverts to normal to be on her knees. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, it took a lot out of me," Light said as they look to see Kristoff looked depressed to see Anna has become an ice statue.
"Oh no, the curse has taken over her," Kairi said as Lightning looks down in shame.
"We are too late," Lightning said as Kristoff are beside the two women as they grieve along with Elsa.
"No baby sister, you can't die. I should have never pushed you away like that, you are the most important thing to me. I love you with all my heart," Elsa said as her tears hit Anna's body but something was happening for Anna is beginning to thaw out and return to normal.
"What I'm alive, Elsa I am alive," Anna said as she gives her big sister a warm embrace.
"Oh Anna, I am so happy," Elsa said as the sister reunion for the others were deeply happy about the outcome.
"What happened?" Kairi asked Kristoff.
"My folks and the other trolls talked about the only way to break a frozen curse to the heart is through 'True Love'. I guess that pure sisterly love for Anna is what broke the curse," Kristoff said.
"Quite fitting," Lightning said.
"Elsa, love is the key to controlling your powers," Anna said as Elsa's emotional weight has been completely lifted as all the snow around them is gone.
"Hey, you're right," Elsa waves her hand as the eternal winter that threaten to destroy their kingdom was lifted as greenery spread across the entire land.
"I knew you can break the curse," Anna said.
"No thanks to you and your new friends," Elsa said to give Kairi, Lightning and Kristoff. "Thank you for taking care of my sister," she said to gracefully bow her head to them.
"No problem, let's get back to the capital city," Kairi said as they goo with Sven carrying both Aerith and Prishe who are still knocked out from the big battle.
Meanwhile within the day, Lightning and Kairi are back in the capital city as Elsa became Queen again due to her ending the curse on the land and people putting their trust in her again. The duo are getting ready to leave with Elsa, Anna and Kristoff see them off
"Light, do you have to go?" Anna asked looking sad but Lightning gave Anna a motherly hug.
"I will come visit soon, keep being together with Elsa," Light said.
"Of course, Kristoff will be by my side as well," Anna said as she is holding her new boyfriend's hand and kissing him on the lips.
"You can count on that, I hope we see you again," he said.
"We will be in the neighborhood," Kairi said as they leave Arendelle behind with Aerith and Prishe within the Gummi Ship for them to go back to Traverse Town. "I need some R&R, me and Sora can go to that new water park in Twilight Town," Kairi said as she can't wait to spend time with Sora for their Gummi Ship blasts off into the void.
