Disclaimer: Nope, still don't own it. Just a note, this chapter is not Cursed Child compliant, nor will any of my Next Gen stories be. (Though Scorpius' personality will be fairly similar because he was one of the only parts of Cursed Child that I liked.)
Day 20: Library
"Come on, it's the first nice day we've had in ages, let's go outside." Albus Potter looked pleadingly at his two best friends, both of whom had their noses buried in textbooks, and neither of whom looked up when he spoke.
"We can't, Al," Scorpius said, "Exams are in two weeks. We've got to study."
"Exactly," Rose's voice held the suggestion of the smirk, "You know I can't let this git beat me, I've got to fulfill my dad's wishes."
Scorpius snickered, "Sorry, Rosie, but you and your dad are in for a disappointment."
Albus rolled his eyes, "The pair of you could both ace all of your exams in your sleep. You don't need to study."
Rose's head shot up at that, her face appalled, "Of course we need to study, Albus! Do you know how important these exams are?"
Albus eyed his cousin with a strange, almost wary, look on his face, "Blimey, you sound like your mum sometimes.
He shook his head with a slight smirk, "I guess this is what you get when your two best friends are complete nerds." Neither Rose nor Scorpius deigned to reply.
Albus sighed, "Alright, let's compromise. You two can study outside, can't you? I'll even study too."
Rose and Scorpius looked up from their books to exchange a look.
Rose glanced out the window, "Well, it does look awfully nice out there..."
"Studying outside for a change can't hurt," Scorpius conceded.
Albus cheered, provoking a glare and a sharp "Shh!" from Madam Pince.
