"There he is!" Shouted a young 2 tailed fox, who was flying a blue biplane.
"I see them, buddy! Get close!" Shouted a speedy blue hedgehog, jumping into a special cannon on the bottom of the plane. They were chasing an Eggrobo that just stole something. They got closet, and the Eggrobo looked over at them. If robots could sweat, it would be soaked.
"And, NOW!"
"Firing Sonic Cannon Now!" The fox shouted, pressing a button. It blasted the hedgehog, now rolled into a ball at the Eggrobo. He smashed it, and grabbed a special gem it had stolen, not one of the chaos emeralds.
"That mission was a success!" Said the hedgehog, whose name was Sonic.
"Another successful mission completed!" Said the fox, named Tails. His real name was Miles Prower, but Tails is easier to remember, so everyone calls him that.
Sonic and Tails are part of a special group, of skilled teens and children, who are focused on things like destroying enemies, retrieving stolen items, and even reconnaissance and sabatoge. Some others who worked there are Silver, a forgetful time traveling hedgehog, Shadow, the boss of the operation, and many more.
"Sonic, Tails, get up here ASAP!" Shouted Shadow, here referring to his office. Sonic and Tails ran up there, and faced Shadow.
"I have a new mission for you. There have been several portals opening around Mobius. G.U.N. has investigated them, but they haven't returned. It falls on your hands to not screw up the mission. Here are the coordinates of the last known portal. Also, Sonic, I've been getting reports from the others here that you've been being reckless again. You have only one more chance, and after hat, you will be kicked off. Am I understood?"
"Yessir!I will not be reckless again sir!" Said Sonic, and Shadow shook his head and said,
"That's what you said the last three times. I hope you know I'm being generous, you would have been kicked off by now if you were anyone else. Good luck on the mission."
Sonic and Tails walked out of the room. They had their assignment, and walked out to the hangar in their base. Sonic and Tails ran to the Cyclone, a transforming biplane that Tails made.
"Starting engines. Lifting flaps into place. Inputting coordinates into autopilot. Starting propellor."
"Liftoff!" Sonic shouted, interrupting Tails. Tails glared at Sonic, but then put his attention to flying.
"So Tails, how are you doing at home?" Asked Sonic.
"I've been better. I just recently upgraded my E. Cannon, so that's a plus. Also, if you were referring to my parents, I'd prefer not to say." Replied Tails.
"So, same as last time I asked?"
"Pretty much." Tails' parents were sick with an unknown disease, and the money Tails was earning was going to a fund for research into a cure for it. Sonic was taking care of Tails until then by supplying his own money so Tails could get food. They were flying, then the Miles Electric buzzed.
"That means there is an energy pulse somewhere, I can't see where. Can you see anything, Sonic?"
"No, nothing but water below us, and an island, and Blaze and Silver's ship."
"What are they doing?" Asked Tails.
"No clue, but it's something important, I guess. Hey, Tails! Watch the radar!" They were nearing the portal, and Tails looked for a spot to land. He saw a small island, so he decided to transform.
"Cyclone! Mech Transformation!" Tails shouted, pushing a button. The mech transformed, turning into its battle mech form, and slowly hovered down. Sonic jumped out, and Tails followed him.
"It's near here, isn't it?" Said Sonic, looking around.
"Yep, somewhere around, there!" Shouted Tails, pointing to a cave.
"A, cave?" Said Sonic, confused. Sonic ran ahead, and Tails followed after, looking at the Miles Electric. It blipped constantly, and getting faster every minute.
"In here!" Tails said, taking a left turn. This time Sonic followed, and they went into an open room in the cave.
"Whoa! This place is beautiful!" Said Sonic.
"There!" Shouted Tails, pointing to a glowing purple portal, spinning slowly.
"Let's send a probe in first." Tails said as he took off his backpack and sifted through the contents. He finally found the probe, and he set it gently down. He guided it over the the portal with the Miles Electric, but as soon as it entered the portal, the signal was lost.
"That's odd, I should still be able to control it from here, even from other dimensions."
"Then, what if it's not another dimension? What if it's something else?" Tails stared at Sonic with a blank expression on his face. "What? It's a possibility, right?"
"Well yeah, of course it's probable, just something I wouldn't bet on. Besides, what could it be besides that?"
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Sonic thought hard. "I got nothing."
BEEP BEEP!
Tails wrist phone went off, and he answered it.
"Sonic, Tails, status report." Said the voice of Shadow.
"Well, we found the portal, but don't know what is in it yet."
"Well, find out." Shadow hung up, and Tails looked at Sonic.
"So, what will we do?"
"What else is there to do? We go inside."
"WAIT, WHAT!?" Shouted Tails as Sonic pushed him closer to the portal. "That isn't even good! We don't know what's there or anything yet!"
"Shadow told us to find out, so that's what we do!" Said Sonic as he grabbed Tails and jumped into the portal with him. Tails screamed the entire way in, and began to hurt Sonic's ears.
"Will you cut that out already?!" Sonic shouted.
"Sorry, but this was stupid." Colors were all around them as they went through the portal. The Miles Electric was messed up. Suddenly, Tails felt light headed, and Sonic said,
"Tails, rest for now, I'll wake you when we get there, wherever there is." They continued for another hour or so, and Sonic saw a white light at the end of the portal lights. They suddenly fell out of nowhere into the sky, and we're falling down. Sonic and Tails slammed face first into hard dirt.
"Ow." Was all Sonic could say. Tails stood up, and helped Sonic to his feet.
"Where are we?" Said Sonic. They were in a strange place. The trees looked partially metal, and the ground had grass. The water was still blue, and they were outside of a city.
"Maybe we go, and see..." Was all Tails said before something snuck up behind them. "Sonic! Watch out!" Tails jumped in the way of whoever it was who attacked Sonic, and he hit Tails instead. He looked back and forth between the enraged Sonic, and unconscious Tails. He was not smart. Because he ran. Sonic quickly caught up, and grabbed who it was.
"Here! Take this bag, don't hurt me!" He said, tossing his bag to Sonic. "I thought you were someone else!" Sonic let go of him, and he ran off. I'll have to believe him, thought Sonic. He walked back to Tails, who had just woken up.
"Who, who was that?" Asked Tails.
"I don't know, but he said he thought I was someone else. Also, he gave my this bag." He said, opening the bag. Inside were two stones, one red, and the other white.
"Stones? What good are they?" Asked Tails as he grabbed the white and Sonic grabbed the red. Without warning, a bright flash of light happened, and Sonic and Tails suddenly felt a strong force. Sonic felt like he was standing in the middle of a fire, and Tails felt like he was in a tornado. Finally, after what seemed like years, the feelings stopped. Sonic and Tails stared at each other.
"What in the name of Mobius even happened!?" They shouted in unison. They both felt weird, and they looked around. They no longer were holding the stones. They looked around, but couldn't find them, not even on the ground. Suddenly, Tails looked like he was about to freak out.
"What is it, buddy?" Asked Sonic. Tails just held up his right arm, and the stone was on a band on his arm. Sonic looked at his right arm, and saw the stone he touched Eason there, on a band he didn't put on.
"What in the name of chaos is even going on!?" Shouted Tails, and Sonic shrugged his shoulders.
"Let's head to the town and see what is going on."
"I agree." Then they went down to the city, not knowing the danger they were in or the incredible adventure that was about to unfold for them.
Me: is this a cliffhanger? I think it is. What happens next? Who know, I'm just going off my imagination here.
Tails: you mean what happens to us is up to fate!?
Sonic: you don't even know!?
Me: nope
Tails: uhh, okay bye!
Me: No! You're a main character! You can't die!
Tails: Tell that to Sonic 3
Me: Okay. Good point.
