PROLOGUE INTRO

Many, many years ago, two race rules over the earth, HUMANS and MONSTERS once live together for some time eventually a WAR has broke out between them so many has lost their lives and after this long conflict HUMANS have won due to being stronger so monster kind was seal underground by a powerful barrier which traps for a long, long time...

Eventually they have build their new home and also the Underground they know today and after so many years has passed the royal scientists have discover how to recreate the seven human souls and soon after that monster kind are free as the barrier was destroyed...

They have arrive to the surface, they're free, happy and most of all no more living underground but this freedom didn't last soon as they have learned that there was no any signs of humans, the buildings abandoned, overgrowths covers everything and they all don't know what has happen while they were underground so they have begin building settlements for so many monsters, traveling to many place just for fun, adventure mostly trying to learn what has happen to the humans...

And this is where the chapter for this story begins...His name is Kanohi Mata and this is his story...

SURVIVAL-TALE

EPISODE 1

Welcome to the Wildlands

Location: Monster Mall, outside of the Lost City...

It has been a few weeks since after a group of monsters have decides that they should use a abandoned mall as their new settlement where they can live in and also do trades by other monsters when they have arrive there one of them is a young goat guy with brown hair, blue eyes and he's wearing his usual clothes for traveling the 'Wildlands' named by many monsters due to the fact that it is wildlands out there it can be dangerous when traveling without being ready for anything so that is why Kanohi has travel to the settlement because he have been planning to explore some abandoned locations, he has park his truck near the entrance and enter the settlement as he can see that there are so many monsters moving around as there's shops on the first and second floor he thought to himself that it has been pretty busy for everyone for some time now.

"Hopefully that I'll get my supplies and head out because Max has ask me to meet him at the abandoned water park and maybe we can find something awesome there too, what could go wrong...A lot of things could go wrong...But I already said yes."

Kanohi continues walking he has found the shop that sells supplies for the trip so the owner ask him what can he get him and he hands the guy a list says that he want this much for the trip to the abandoned water park while the owner was getting the things he ask him how long is he going to be there and also what ammo type does he wants, "9mm and also a gun holster if you have it." The owner place down a few 9mm box and hands a gun holster to Kanohi then the supplies on the table he says that will be 110 gold so he gives him the right amount, "Thank you for shopping kid, come back anytime and stay safe out there." Kanohi exits the settlement head to his truck, putting the supplies in the back seat, opens the driver door and take a seat, start the engine and drive away from the settlement and begin traveling to the abandoned water park to meet Max there.

It took him about three to four hours to travel from the settlement to the location itself depends on the condition of the roads, the weather along with a lot of other stuff and it was almost 2 o'clock as he have arrive to the park Kanohi can see that vines are covering everything seems to be the front entrance, a familiar face is waving to him turns out that it was Max himself the usual skeleton, a good friend of Kanohi and it looks like that he's not alone never met her before. He parks the truck right next to Max's car and says that he's sorry for being a little late while putting some stuff in the backpack and puts one the holster for his gun than he ask Max who is the girl, the girl says her name is Kaiden and its nice to meet Max's friend because he have been telling a lot stuff about him, "Nice to meet you Kaiden."

"Max explain about that we were going to explore this water park and it doesn't look like that there ain't much things in there besides of the vines, the overgrowths but maybe we can find something cool or useful while exploring here." Kanohi said that they need to be extra careful and caution while exploring they don't want to get injury then he checks the vines blocking the entrance before asking Kaiden can she use magic to cut down the vines with that she uses her magic to do just that, the entrance is free of vines so they enter the water part Kanohi can see that there's a massive building some kind along with empty vehicles across the park itself looks like something has happen here with no right answer for that question Max walks over to a armored truck human skeletons laying on the ground still wearing whatever uniform they were wearing before their death, it must be terrible back then.

Max searching the truck while Kanohi is also searching an truck the reads 'SWAT' on the side he did manage to find some stuff mostly an old rifle laying in the back seat along with a few mags the weapon itself has been through a lot whoever was using it have been fighting someone or something he did a quick check on the rifle maybe with work he might get it to prefect working condition Kaiden walks to Kanohi she was asking what did he find in that old truck. "A MA14 rifle and with some ammo mags."

Kaiden did ask Kanohi if they have time can they head up that tower further back from where they are Max said yes they can and maybe they can see the whole park from up there after done searching the trucks Kanohi follows Kaiden to the tower not before Max saying they need to be extra careful when exploring old, abandoned locations just to make sure that no one wouldn't get hurt.

They walk up the stairs and arrive to the very top of the tower Kaiden can see the wildlands, the lost city and the rest of the park where they're standing, "This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen or saw before. The view looks pretty great." Kaiden pulls out her phone and use the camera to take pictures Max looks around a little bit before saying that there's a way towards the building across of them maybe there's some stuff they can find, "Come on Kaiden let's head back down."

Kaiden and Kanohi follows Max back down from the tower they found a path that will lead them to the abandoned building by the looks of things someone have been living here because there's some sleeping begs on the floor, contains might have ether useful stuff or useless junks doesn't matter as Max was checking the contains while Kaiden looks through some old magazines which it has wither away for so long she did say that humans use to come to the water park during the summers to have fun at the pools but now its abandon without any signs of humans and she ask what happen to them, where did they go and why did they left.

Kanohi said that he doesn't know, everyone else doesn't know what actually has happen to them all they know it has happen before monster kind have return to the surface the way it looks something just happen there was a lot of damages on some buildings, a lot of abandoned military vehicles near places so they ask themselves the what, who and why questions a lot lately, no solid answers well not yet anyways, "Kanohi sorry for asking but, why are you using a gun for? Can you use your magic?"

"It hasn't been easy for me, I don't know why but maybe after the barrier was shattered my magic have been acting up like I said, don't know why its acting up so that's why I usual use a gun just in case." Kaiden says that it would have been really cool to come to this place long before it was abandoned with her friends, but that's not going happen then ask Kanohi if he ever finds like a beach or something just let her know maybe they can build like a mini resort for anyone who wants go there to hangout at the beach, Kanohi says sure when he get the chance for that in the main time they should check the rest of the water park before night time, "Here's the stairs...Let's head up." Max walks up the stairs with the two follows him and they have arrive to the second floor of the building there's a lot of debris along with some more human skeletons laying on the floor Max and Kanohi both pulls out their flashlights to be able to see there was no lights. "Lead the way team leader."

After about at least ten to sixteen minutes of exploring the building they head out to continue exploring the water park so many rides, game stands along with many others left behind for so long now they rotting away, the metal rust and decay with time lucky it still standing Kanohi checks the time on his watch it reads 3:21 PM he thoughts to himself that they still have time to explore the rest of the water park before night time along the way Kaiden did saw a building that looks like a pirate ship so she takes some pictures saying that Papyrus will go nuts when she shows these to him Max ask Papyrus as an Papyrus, Sans's young brother and good friends to Undyne back at that one settlement near the river from what he had heard that she has been training new royal scouts for exploring the wildlands, the lost city and many other places, "Really? I didn't even know about that, thanks for telling me."

The ground ahead of them collapse and it sunk in causing the tower to falls onto a building destroying the path Kaiden ask what are they going to do now since the way is destroyed Kanohi checks the sunk hole he can see that strange black goo substance in the sunk hole but for some weird reason its growing out like little tentacle crawling along the sides up which it even cause both Kaiden and Max scare a bit for the moment she ash what the hell is that, where did it come from Kanohi said that he had no idea whatever it is but it is coming out of the hole still maybe they can find another way around this and do it fast.

Max points to a building right next to them maybe they can use that to get to the other side if they're lucky so Kanohi kick down the door in order to open it due to the rust and vines they enter the building, there's the stairs will lead the group upstairs, a door to the left Kanohi tries to open the door when suddenly they heard someone on the other side of the door sounds like whoever they are something scare them than suddenly a massive roar can be heard, the person tire to attack it and they got throw against the wall then a scream came right before getting killed, the creature runs off as the building shakes now Kaiden said that they should go check the person to see if they're alive still and maybe treat their injuries, after a few seconds Kanohi said that they should head up stairs before whatever that thing comes back, "Agree, I don't want to stay here any longer...This place gives me the creeps."

Heading upstairs they have found another way out but first they need to check the person so they walk down the hallway Max have found another stairs leading back to the first floor maybe the stranger is in the room Kanohi pulls out his handgun and says that they should stay behind him because they have no idea on whatever that creature was so they need to be cautions, keep an eye out for trouble now he walks down the stairs with handgun aiming foward slowly, carefully approach the door and he quickly go around the corner he sees a monster laying against the wall badly injury, Kaiden runs over to the guy using her healing magic trying treat the injuries, she ask the guy what happen to him and what was that thing had attack him. "Be careful Kaiden."

The stranger said that he along with two others were scavenging for some useful stuff in the area when suddenly they were attack by something, it was huge and fast he got separated from them so he ran to the building thinking he got away but it has found him and just attack him than run off probably its looking for them so he ask Kanohi no beg him to save his friends before that thing finds them Kaiden grabs bandages to cover the wounds with it to ease the pain before telling him that they will save them, just relax a bit, "Here...you might need these j-just...in case...thank you a-nd...good...luck..." The stranger's body turns to dust after he have die from the injuries Kanohi picks up the items like first aid kits, some grenades and ammo for the rifle he has found from before Max said that they get going and fast, Kaiden said yeah she know, but how are they going to kill this thing? This guy just DIE by that creature and now they are going save his friends, her hand shakes because she's scare of not knowing what's going to happen if they're not going to survive. "I-I'm sorry, just...I'm just scare alright. I'm scare and I don't know what to do...I'm just..."

Kanohi puts the gun in holster he walks to Kaiden telling her to listen to him that everything will be okay and just take some deep breath, inhale and exhale he was trying to calm her down a bit she looks up at him tears filling her eyes probably she wasn't use to all this, don't know why but still he told her that he'll keep her safe and they'll survive this she wipe her eyes a bit saying she's calm down a little bit and they should go those guys then escape the park without dying by that thing so they head back upstairs and continue walking down the hallway, walk down the stairs and exit out of the building Kanohi follows the trail of destruction cause by the creature and it leads them to a massive building that reads 'Indoor pool' on the sign he equips the rifle before entering the indoor pool the inside looks a lot worse with a lot of debris, broken furniture threw all over the place, it gives Kaiden the chills.

"Are you even sure that they're here? That guy didn't even tell us where they're and how do we know that they're here?" Kanohi explains whatever this thing is its a hunter, a hunter hunts its prey and they're experts on tracking them down so his guess that it is inside of the building which means that they're here too so they should hurry up and get out of the park before the worse could happen. Kaiden walks behind Kanohi as they walk down the hallway arriving to wide open area looks like that humans come to the place during the summers but now its abandoned there's some skeletons laying around the area reminding them the remnant of the forgotten past, Max can smell something in the air he doesn't have no idea what it is, when suddenly they heard someone talking Kanohi follows the voice as it leads them to a barricaded room and he carefully listen to the voice differentially in the room.

Kanohi knocks on the door it caught their attention one of them says don't come any closer or he'll shoot he says to the guy that he's not going to him or his friend then explains what have happen to their friend who got separated from for a few moments the door unlocks and he says to come in quick before it comes back so they hurry enter the room two monsters stand before them one is a male dog and one female skeleton wearing usual clothes they ask what happen to Mark Kaiden looks down as Max says that they have found him after he got attack by that creature and he have die from the injuries he's sorry for their lost.

She falls down on the floor, cover her eyes, crying for her friend and the other said that they were do some scavenging in the park when suddenly that 'demon' hunt them down for some time, Mark got separated during the chase and they have arrive to this place hoping that maybe he had survived, maybe he can save them but he's dead now and also he introduce himself, his name is Mike and the skeleton girl name is Alexia she's wearing red/black clothes with red/yellow hair sort of, Mike knees down to comfort his friend Kanohi said that Mark had ask them to save his friends and they should all get out of the park to escape.

"Yeah, let's get the hell out of here. I had enough of this place anyways, we'll follow you guys." Mike helps Alexia to get back up onto her feet, Max slowly opens the door sees that it clear they walk back down the same hallway and exits out of the building so they retrace their steps returning to the building where Mark have die in, exit the building finding out that the way back blocked off by massive rubbles cutting their escape route so they have to make an detour to the left to take the long way around which it leads them to a wide open area for unknown reason the same black goo substances covering most of the area, dark crystal like spikes sticking out of the ground itself Mike said that they have found something like these all over the park but they don't know what it is and they need to get out of the area when they still have the chance to escape, "The ground is shaking?! What the?"

Suddenly the ground burst open creatures are crawling out of it covering black crystal on most of the bodies, slowly walks towards the group acting like zombies Kanohi hands the rifle and mags to Mike before asking him does he know how to use it he said that he had some practices with using it so yes he did and quickly fires a shot straight at the head he said he have read a lot of things on zombies and the only way to kill a zombie is aim for the head so it stays dead, Kanohi pulls out his handgun and fires a couple of rounds to kill a couple of zombies, Kaiden uses her magic to push away more of these zombie like creatures crawling out of the ground along with Alexia using her fire bullets to burn most of them, "They just keeping coming! We need to get out of her-"

A massive creature came out of nowhere and it just wipe out of the 'Voidghouls' Mike recognize the creature it was the same one who have killed Mark the creature covers with the dark crystals and the body is made of black void goo substances, Kanohi can see that one crystal on its head glows with a blood red color than it lets out a massive roar, the ground rumbles Mike quickly takes aim and fires at the enemy that it sis about to kill them all Kanohi grab a grenade, pull the pin and throws it at the creature he gets behind something right before it explode which it might did some damage, Mike quickly reloads the weapon and fires a few shots at the head it did something because it roars in pain so Kanohi fires more shots at the head too before he reloads it he told Alexia to fire some of her fire bullets at the head it seems that its weak spot, "I'm on it! This is for Mark and go burn in hell!!!"

Alexia fire some fire bullets at the creature's head as its roars in pain again, the crystal is cracking which means its working Kanohi and Max fires their weapon to try to do more damage Kaiden uses her blue magic to lift some large debris to drop on top of the creature Kanohi throw the rest of grenades that he had to finish this fight and the crystal shatters it falls down to the ground hard right before it swings its massive claw to knock Kanohi against the wall hard he drop his handgun Kaiden runs over to him as he was having trouble staying awake Max picks up the gun off the ground and opens his backpack to get bandages to cover Kanohi's chest, "...Kan...o...hi? St...ay...with...me...We...re...go...ing...to...ge...t...y...ou...out...of...he...re..." Kanohi couldn't hear clearly due to whatever injuries that he had receive from the creature so he passed out but he fades in and out, being carry by someone, laying on a seat in his truck and then everything went dark...Don't know what just happen after passing out from injuries back in the park, he praying that maybe they got out of there safety and maybe after he wakes up Kanohi might know.

Some time pass...

It appears that the three are at a settlement they were waiting for any news on Kanohi's recovering after getting injury by that creature who has attack them back at the abandoned water park, they manage to find a rent room to stay over night while their friend is recovering Kaiden along with Alexia both have been walking around the settlement probably getting something for their friend but she doesn't know what to get and after awhile of searching she buys some new clothes for him because the old ones are rip to pieces from a local store meanwhile both Max and Mike were at the bar maybe just enjoy some time because they're alive after surviving against the demon and Kanohi is recovering hopefully he's still his usual self...Maybe, maybe not...Idk okay? Good

"Are you doing okay Alexia? You haven't say anything, its been three days since...Well you know? Again I'm sorry for your lost." Alexia says thanks for being really nice and she feels sad that they could have give Mark a burial but now Kanohi got hurt because of whatever that thing was just attack them and she hope that its dead for what it did to Mark, he's dead and never coming back Kaiden place a hand on her shoulder telling Alexia that everything is okay now, they're alive and safe, no big scarily creature, no more of those zombies or whatever they are, maybe they should go check on Kanohi to see how is he doing. They head over to the local clinic near the place they were staying, went in and go to the room Kanohi is in Kaiden looks for the room which she did as they have enter Kanohi was laying on the bed cover with bandages around the chest area because of the claws marks.

"A doctor is arriving here to do a check up on him, hopefully he makes a full recovery and we all can leave." About five mintues has passed a monster wearing a white lab coat enters the clinic and walks to the room they were at, he enters the room Kaiden quickly recognize who the doctor is but it has been awhile since the last time she have saw him even the doctor recognize her too he says that it has been a while Kaiden and he can see that she's doing alright then ask is this Kanohi laying in bed with that he walks to the side of the bed to do some check ups which it didn't take long and he ask did she brought some clothes for him to wear Kaiden said yes they did because the ones he had wore got rip up pretty bad then Kanohi slowly opens his eyes only to find himself laying bad, cover with bandages and the last thing he remembers it was when he was back at the park, the doctor explain that he has been recovering for about three days it looks like that he have made a fully recovery, "We'll leave the room, put these clothes on."

The doctor, Alexia and Kaiden all left the room so Kanohi can put the clothes on which he did it looks a bit new but whatever clothes are clothes he left the room Kaiden was talking to the doctor from before walks over to them and ask where is his stuff because he wants them back Alexia said that his stuff is in the truck at the inn so he doesn't have to worry its safe before Kanohi heads to the inn he thanks the doctor for coming to the clinic also he's sorry if he was busy with other stuff, the doctor said its no problem just he glad to help out also his name is W.D Gaster by the way and says that he should take it easy for awhile.

"Again thanks for the help and everyone here too, I'll be at the inn guys see you there." Kanohi exit the clinic and heads to the inn he spots the truck near the building went over there, opens the door and go through everything to make sure that no one hasn't stolen anything its good because its all there Max walks to him asking how is he feeling after survive a near by death experience which it probably wasn't great and might hurt like hell, "Sounded like that you worry, sorry for making you worry."

"Actually you have make us all worry you know? We're just glad that you're alive and...Yeah you scare the hell out of us." Kaiden was walking to Kanohi she said that they have waiting for three days, tells him that he needs to be more careful it wasn't been easy for the past three days than he said that he's sorry, he wasn't expecting to claw down by a giant demon it has just killed a monster without mercy and he's sorry for making them worry for him, he pause a few seconds before saying that he's not good at expressing his feelings or how he feels right now and right now he was scare, scare of dying, scare of unable to save anyone, scare of fail to do anything so yeah after what happen he wasn't sure if he was going to make a full recovery. "...Kanohi?..." Ask Alexia.

"Well just be glad that we are safe and sound, listen we should at least grab something to eat before heading back home so I know a good place here it has the best food here." Max leads the way while Mark and Alexia both were having a chat with one another Kanohi was far behind them a bit, following them as he looks up at the night sky Kaiden ask how is he doing? He ask what she have been doing for the past three days he sort of notice that Kaiden's eyes, they're tired and maybe she was worry for him a lot more but he doesn't know if its true or not, he ask how has she been doing, said that her eyes look tired, has she been getting enough sleep lately? A moment of silent has fall and Kaiden said that she couldn't get some sleep because she have been having nightmares, she was at the park, he was laying on the ground and that thing was about to kill him Kanohi stops for a second and tells that everything is going to be okay, he's alive, they're safe and that thing is dead so it won't be able to harm or kill anyone else ever again so she can sleep well tonight, "...Heh, t-thank you...I felt a whole lot better now and maybe I can enjoy the little things you know? Hopefully this place Max told us about might have some good stuff to eat because I haven't ate anything today."

They enter the building it appears that other monsters hangs out here after a long busy day, some were just hanging out, some well they were being themselves, they all were trying enjoy the life they had now despite the humans are gone and monsters can live on the surface, going on in this new world created from the old it wasn't been easy on everyone after leaving the Underground they all wanted the same thing, a peaceful normal-ish life Kanohi took a seat then ask for a beer he has been thinking about destroying the water park because after what had happen to him, the bartender place the beer front of him the others soon join him Max was being his usual cheerful self even after facing the demon itself, Mike and Alexia were paying respects for their fallen friend who have die so they did, Kaiden was sitting near Kanohi as he take a sip from the beer before asking is he feeling better he said that the beer numb the pain so he's feeling a bit better and its been a very, very long day for everyone.

"What about you? Feeling a bit better now?" Kaiden said she does but she haven't eat anything yet so she going to order some burgers if this place any he takes another sip while the bartender writes down the order on a notepad and he heads to the kitchen they wait for awhile Kaiden thanks Kanohi for helping Alexia and Mike with their lost and also helping her when she was too afraid she just froze up with fear, Kanohi turns to Kaiden and tell her that there's nothing wrong being scare, sometimes being afraid they learn how to face their fears and showing them that they're not scare, keep moving forward that's the same thing he have been telling himself for a long while, "...You should do know how to say stuff like that and that's why I like you Kanohi."

Kanohi then ask why does she like him for and Kaiden said that she didn't know why at fast after three days she has been thinking a lot lately and today she realize how much she likes him even though that they just met but maybe they can get to know each other more when they're not too busy, Kanohi thinks about it and said sure he don't mind that not for one bit the bartender returns with burger and a beer Kanohi sees that she does like burgers a lot and ask how is the burger Kaiden takes a bite out of the burger than she says that its pretty good the time pass on Kaiden just finish her drink and it appears that she had enough so Kanohi pays for the meal and tries to pick her into his arms to carry her back to the inn, he tells her that she had enough and its getting late so they should get some sleep for tomorrow Kaiden was looking at him and ask that she had enough?, what about him? Did he had enough wait why she asking him, "Told you so Kaiden, you had enough and also what are you doing?" Ask Kanohi.

(A/N: I'm trying to make Kaiden sound like that she's drunk and sorry if I have mess it up.)

"S-s-sorry about that...I...*hic*...I-I couldn't h-help it because...H-how much y-you...Look great...*hic*...You look a fr-freaking... *hic*...Bad azzzzz...I think...I think...t-that I might...Need some sleep...*hic*...Because I never been this...*hic*...drunk in my whole freaking life and please...Don't tell anyone about das...*hic*...Got it? Are we cr-ystal clear?" Kanohi said yes he won't tell anyone that she got drunk and also is this the first time she got drunk or the second, she said that she forgot probably its because she was drunk and they have arrive back to the inn so he enter the building then he found the room they were staying in because Mike and Alexia are next door as Max was passed out he carefully opens and close the door without waking him up than he lays Kaiden on a second bed to sleep before he could do that she just suddenly kiss him, he felt his face was blushing because he was not expecting it and he looks at her for a sec and he grabs a spare blanket to cover her with after that he set down the third bed near the window telling himself that she was drunk, she didn't mean to do that and he said that he just need some sleep, yeah its been a very long week for everyone and so he lays down on the bed, eventually he falls a sleep and everything went dark.

The Abandoned Water Park, Hours Later...

A group of monsters barring the royal guards symbol on their shoulder heading towards the abandoned water park that Kanohi, Kaiden, Max, Mike and Alexia all were at the doctor from the settlement Doctor Gaster was follow the group along with Captain Undyne as they have all arrive to the location he can tell that something has been happening for some time now and what Kaiden told him back at the clinic should be at the this location and Undyne ask what's the plan doc are they going to attack to kill those freaks he said no they should bomb the whole area to destroy whatever this virus is so no other monsters won't suffer the same fate so Undyne orders the monsters to unleash large fire bullets upon the park which they did what they have been order to do the whole area is on fire soon as rain begins to fall they can loud unnaturally roars coming from the park, screams in pain and maybe its those things that have been hiding Gaster looks head on knowing that this virus, this infection needs to be destroy like he said from before no more monsters will suffer the same fate and pray that this is the end, "Doc are you feeling alright?"

"...I need to do some research on this infection and maybe we can create a cure for this when in the meantime if you find, heard or seen anything like this let me know and maybe I might learn a thing or two have to kill them before they kill or infect us." Undyne then orders the monsters return back to the settlement before telling Gaster that she's have the 'royal scouts' to keep an eye out for any signs of that and right now its getting cold so they should head back before he gets a cold or something after that they left the area to return back to their settlement as the water park has been destroy removing any traces of the virus, a voice calls out saying do they think that this is the end, this is over but they're wrong because this is only the beginning of the end for every life on this planet will let's just save that for later and right now this stranger should keep an eye on this Doctor Gaster he seems to be a problem later on and also this Kanohi guy he barely manage to survive against the creature that he and few others fight against.

Next time who or whatever he is, he won't go down without a fight or two and let's see if they can survive against this new enemy for the up coming fight...
