My other half-moon

It was a same old story at the Uzumaki residence. Naruto got home after another tiring day, only to get himself faced by Boruto. "Hey son" he said greeting him. But the boy hmped away. Then he started to talk slowly. Then slowly and then started to shout. His voice rise and rise and then he blasted talking about why he send another shadow clone on the boy's birthday. Naruto was disappointed of course. And for once, just once, he hit his head. What the hell did this come to? All he wanted was his very own family. And he finally got it. From a woman who, well, never actually loved but ended up with her. He got two kids. One is Boruto, who's always shouting about why he couldn't spend time with him and have many complaints against him and the other one is Himawari, who is just, invisible. Then there Hinata, his wife who he never dreamed off, standing there and watching her kid scold her husband and isn't even daring herself to stop the boy.

Naruto signed and left the house with finals words from Boruto he heard were "Yeah that's right. Out of the house which you always does when you have nothing to say. Jeez who needs parents when they're a scum to you." The last part hurt him. He doesn't know what it feels to not to have parents. He left for his favorite place in the world, Ichiraku Ramen.

Elsewhere Sakura was supposed to be the happiest lady in the world. She had an Uchiha as her husband, a guy who she dreamt about ever since meeting him. She had a daughter named Sarada. She works at hospital and was Konoha's greatest medical ninja. What else what she needed. "Love..." She said slowly, looking at her 'family photo', where they were three frames. One each for her, Sarada and Sasuke. "Sasuke..." Again she said whispering. There wasn't really a family photo. Sasuke's main photo was his team Taka's while Sakura picked her and Sarada's recently, making a 'family photo'.

It's been 12 years. Whole 12 damn years since she last saw him. She thought she was happy but she wasn't. Especially when Sarada accidentally saw the original photo of Sasuke, which surprised her. And she questioned Karin and why that woman looked more like her than Sakura did. Sarada was asleep. They recently had a conversation about fathers and Sarada questioned Sakura a lot about Sasuke. Sakura didn't knew much about him and she couldn't deliver. She wanted to be a best mom but she failed. Sakura decided to go out. For some odd reason, she decided to go to Ichiraku Ramen place.

Both were in deep thoughts when they bumped into each other. "Sorry, It's my fault. I didn't know where I was..." Naruto begin and was happy to find someone certain. "Sakura?" Sakura heard his voice and look up too "Naruto? Well this is a surprise. What are you doing here?" She said as she got up. "What am I doing here? Well it's my favorite place in the world of course. I should be asking you." Naruto said as they look up to the board to find out they were indeed at Ichiraku's Ramen. "Well I wanted to clear my mind and it's the first thought that came into my mind." She replied. "You too?" Naruto said. "I guess we got a lot to catch up."

It was a long time since they came together at that place. They were quite before Sakura begin. "So, what's your deal?" she ask her favorite blonde friend. "My deal? Oh no nothing. I just wanted to hang out that's all." Naruto didn't wanted to worry her. But Sakura wasn't buying any of those since she knew him well. She raised an eyebrow and Naruto admitted defeat after he gave a heavy sign.

"To be honest, I don't know. I mean, I have everything I need. I wanted to be a Hokage, here I am as the 7th. I wanted to have a family, I have a wife and two kids. But, I am not happy as I supposed to be." Naruto admitted. "I mean, I get scold by my own son. He doesn't understand what I have went through to get here. There are reasons why I am not at home. Hinata doesn't dare to stop Boruto nor she scold him for his behaviors and then there is Himawari who I have no idea how she happened. I am tired with all this. That's why I sometimes hate going back home. It's not my work that's hurting me, It's my own family..."

Watching Naruto bust out his problems, Sakura started her "At least you have a family to spend time to, especially a spouse." Naruto look at her as she started. "Ever since Sarada was born, Sasuke has left Konoha for something important. I don't know what was so important that he didn't told me. Its been 12 years, Naruto. 12 years! Not once he came to see me. Not even a message. Every time Sarada asks me when he is coming home, I hesitate to answer. And watching other girls spending time with their husbands, it hurts me more. But it hurts Sarada more to see other children spending time with their father. I just wanted to keep her happy. And what's worse, we never had a family photo and I had to make something. Sarada found out about team Taka as well as Karin. And she started to think that she is related to her and not me. And honestly Naruto, I started to think the same."

Her voice down at the last part and she started to shed tears. "I mean, I don't want to but I once compare the appearance of both Sarada and Karin. They look almost identical. I don't even remember the time I gave birth to her. I don't- I don't know." She broke down. Naruto could only watch. He wanted to hug her. He wanted to hold her. He held out to her but couldn't. Sakura then stopped herself and wiped off her tears. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

In a meantime, Ayame brought their order. A nice hot ramen. "It's been a while I saw you two come together her." she spoke as she place the bowls. "In your teenage days, you guys used to come a lot. I honestly thought you two would ended up with each other. I guess, some times you don't always get what you want." she said and left. Both Naruto and Sakura were blushing, but there was something from Ayame's words that made them thing about their previous decisions.

After a nice, and most possibly the quietest dinner Naruto had in a long time, both Naruto and Sakura took a walk down to the bridge. It was a lovely night, with half moon shinning it's reflection on the river. They were mostly quiet. After Sakura's outburst which left her in tears, Naruto did stupid things to cheer her up after dinner. And it did. She felt differently when Naruto was around. She was happier. That was the thought that was going on in her mind. As for Naruto, he kept thinking why on earth he never ended up with her?

"It's lovely tonight." says the pink kunoichi. "It's been so long since I had seen such peaceful night." Naruto responded. He then look at her as she was looking at the moon. She was beautiful. Naruto then proceed to say something, without complete control. It something he said It before but that was when they were kids. But he just spoke without thinking, seeing how much she meant to him always. "You are looking beautiful ya' know? And your large, charming forehead, makes me want to kiss it!"

It was all of a sudden, Sakura blushed hard. But gave a warm smile. She haven't heard those words when Sasuke. Said that when they were... "Wha...?" Her smile faded and her eyebrows raised. "What did you just said?" She asked Naruto, who was still making that lovey face staring at her with his goofy smile. "I said your lovely forehead, I want to kiss it." Then snap! "I mean, I uh..." Naruto realized what he said and it was completely embarrassing. He tried to make excused but "Dammit!". He knew he screwed it up. "It was you that day?" Sakura asked, started to make sense in her mind on why all of a sudden Sasuke appreciate her forehead, then minutes later he was dark and cold towards her when Naruto showed up again. "Um, yes?" He said, backing out thinking she would hit him for deceiving her that day.

However the next thing he knew she was hugging him, crying. He was surprised, but he hug her too and those two gave each other an embrace of love, a feeling that never came from their respected spouses. After they broke up, Sakura asked Naruto "Why you never told me?" and Naruto replied "Because you loved Sasuke. You always loved him. I didn't wanted to interfere your love." As he said that, Sakura realized that Sasuke never loved her. It was Naruto. It has always been him. He was there every time. "BAKA!" she hits him. Then she came close to him by grabbing his collar and she kissed him. But it was a short one. "Sakura..." Naruto stopped her, knowing it's wrong, knowing they are married to someone another else.

"Eh screw it!" he pulled her close and started kissing her. For Naruto, it was another kiss but the most passionate one he ever got. More passionate than getting from Hinata. For Sakura, it was her first. They kept kissing before he said "I love you, Sakura." She was overjoyed that he still loved her, and to hear it from him made it more lovely. "I love you too, Naruto!" she said and they held each other and watched that lovely half moon. "You know, Sakura?" He started. "Yes?" she answered. "I found my half moon." he smiled and she smiled back with "So did I."

Those two may have spend almost the whole night together. They didn't thought about going back home even one bit. They went to places and places. They were loving each other non stop. But then it had to. It had to come the time where they have to be separated again. Naruto let off Sakura to her home. A sad little Uchiha home but she went back a happy woman. They shared one more kiss before Naruto leaving back to his home.

Sakura entered the house dreamily. Remembering only that night. It pleasured her so much she couldn't stop thinking about it. But then her eyes went on her "family photo". Her smile disappeared that moment. She took the frame and broke it just to take out that photo of Sasuke. That photo of Sasuke with team Taka. She lend her eyes on Karin and gave a big thought. She then went to Sarada's room and saw her "daughter" sleeping. She wanted to do what every mother can do for their child. Then she decided a big task that she never wanted to do but had too. And she was ready for it.

Naruto returned home only to find it mess. Boruto has been pretty shit lately. He went to his children's room and saw them sleeping. Naruto caught a picture of him but darts were all over his face. Naruto left. He went to his bedroom and sleep. Hinata was just his besides. He wrapped himself to her. She did the same in her sleep. But there wasn't any love vibes coming the was it was from his wife. He then unwrapped himself and faced the other side. Naruto thought long and hard about his family's life style. And then he decided what he needs to do.

It was the same old story at the Uzumaki residence. Boruto was complaining, Hinata was doing nothing and Himawari was just herself. Boruto was shouting band throwing stuff. Naruto was thinking whether he should do it or not. Something he decided last night. He didn't wanted to but had it enough of Boruto's bullshit. He got up and went towards Boruto.

SLAP!

The whole house went silent. No one dared to move. Never they thought Naruto would do that. "Say that again." Naruto said to his spoiled child. "Come on. I dare you." But Boruto couldn't. He was left speechless. He was surprised that his father stood up to him. "Not much you can do when this old scum will stand up for himself right? RIGHT?" Naruto raised his voice and Boruto was left in tears, still shout.

Then Naruto began. "You think not having parents would be cool? You have any idea what shit I have to go through in my childhood? I was desperate to have a family. I was beaten up because I was a demon boy. I had a rough childhood. Now even after having all of this, I have heavy days at office. I have to look after whole Konoha. Why don't you get it? Because you are a child who doesn't understand what his father does for his family."

"Naruto-kun..." was a voice he heard. But he had enough with her as well and began. "Don't Naruto kun me you woman!" He shouted at her, making her step back. "This is your fault. Ever time I always come back from work, this brat is scolding his old man and throwing things at it. But you never pushed yourself to stop him. You never thought to teach your own son a lesson. And because of this, this is the result right here in front of you. You don't work anywhere else do you? You're a full house wife. You should have been paying more attention to the children. What have you been doing all this time?"

Once he was done with her, he saw Himawari. He stared at her but then looked away. He look at his house which was in mess by Boruto of course. "Don't think I'll take this lightly next time." He said while he gave out one strong sense of anger before he left his house and closing the door abruptly. The whole family was left in standstill.

As for Sakura, she was happy to meet Tsunade again. She ask a favour which surprised her. And Tsunade agreed, knowing something was heavily bothering her. And Tsunade was aware about the result. It's going to be a big news to them.

The few days went in like that. The Uzumaki residence was quite. Boruto had not shout at Naruto since that day. Hinata became aware of Boruto that if he was upto no good, she will stop him. And Himawari, well, she remained the same.

As for Sakura's story, the day Naruto scold his family, she went to visit her old master Tsunade. And did the unthinkable. She decided to take DNA test of her and Sarada. And she even requested to this privately. What she feared had happened; Sarada was NOT Sakura's daughter. It was purely Karin and Sasuke's. Sasuke had made that baby with Karin. And according to Tsunade, Sakura's memories were altered so that Sakura would take care of Sasuke's daughter as a "mother" in Sakura's mind but actually as a caretaker.

Sakura was broken. She may have cried for hours at Tsunade's home. The master looked upon her successor and embraced her as tight as she could. She had no idea how would she say that to Sarada. She then thought about telling her later but then she decided to tell her the moment she comes home. And she did. Sarada was, wasn't very shocked given on how she have been thinking ever since looking at Karin's picture. But Sakura told her one thing is that no matter what happens, Sakura have always see her as her daughter. Sarada was left emotional. She thought the same and embraced her. Since then, their bond became strong. And together they make up most of their time as a mother and daughter.

It's been days. That one faithful night where Naruto and Sakura met and talked their problems out helped them in their life. Naruto was able to control his house now. And he loved it. As for Sakura, she became more happier. She and Sarada had started to live each other even more. Sarada even mentioned that she sees "lord 7th" as a father figure and hoped that Sakura didn't mind. But Sakura never mind it at all.

"So, date night?" Naruto asked his favourite girl. They had started to date secretly. "Don't you have to be at home?" Sakura ask, hoping he would say no. "Well I should be. But you're more important. The house can wait. Besides, I got control over now." Naruto responded and proceed to kiss his girl. But he stopped midway "Does Sarada know?" The 7th ask the medic, to which she reply "No. But I will tell her. She sees you as her father." That made Naruto smiled. "Then I'll take care of you both." And with that, they kissed under the full shining moon.

They were finally able to find their missing half moon.
