It wasn't as though Yusuke wanted to watch someone sleep. But the first night he slept at Akira's place, he noticed something very peculiar about his leader.
Suddenly, it became very quiet in the room while he was sleeping. Then, Akira began speaking.
Yusuke was woken up by the suddenness of it. Was Akira possibly awake? He sounded as though he was having a conversation with someone. Morgana possibly?
He sat up and looked over at his leader, but the cat in question was nowhere in sight. Akira was simply just lying alone in bed.
Was he sleep-talking? It was a natural event among people. However, the way he was talking was not at all like sleep-talking. His words were clear and brisk, and Yusuke could clearly make out some words from his conversation: bonds, rehabilitation, personas…
"Weird, right?" He heard someone say.
He couldn't see in the dark, but he could tell Morgana had been the one to speak.
Morgana continued, "It happens sometimes. I don't know why it happens, though. But he stops in 3 or 4 minutes so don't worry."
"...I take it that this is a frequent occurrence..?"
"Yeah. Usually, it's the same thing too. But you get used to it. Besides, it only happens every half a month or so."
"Hm." was all Yusuke said.
And like Morgana said, Akira eventually stopped, leaving silence in the room.
Yusuke didn't know what to think.
Wordlessly, he just went back to sleep.
