Everyone, this is a sequel to my story: Harley and Ivy's christmas. In this, we'll see how Harley and Ivy have been since Christmas.
I don't own DC Comics or any of their characters. This is purely for entertainment. Hope you enjoy it.
Metropolis:
Five months had passed since Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy celebrated Christmas together and they moved on and passed their life of crime: going back to being Harleen Quinzel and Pamela Isley. But despite them trying to go straight, Batman had located them in Superman's city. Superman had asked his cousin, Supergirl, to keep watch over the pair in case they went back to their life of crime.
Apartment block:
Thanks to Harleen accepting a job at a restaurant who were willing to give her a second chance, they had saved enough cash to buy an apartment. Pamela had turned one of the spare rooms into a lab so she could create a cure for her to be normal, she had been working on it for months until she had the complete cure.
"Red, I'm back!" Pamela could hear that Harleen was back from work, she placed the blue liquid on the table then walked out to greet her girlfriend. The pair had officially become a couple at the start of February which made both Harleen and Pamela to more than ever leave their life of crime.
"Hey beautiful!" Pamela shouted as she walked over to Harleen and kissed her on the lips, the pair then sat on the couch in their living just as Harleen rested her legs on top of Pamela's. "How was work today?" Pamela asked as she smoothed Harleen's face who smiled, she took out an envelope then handed it to her girlfriend.
"That's the money I've been getting from work," Harley told Ivy as she opened the envelope.
"But I've been saving up for six months for you to get what you need to be normal." Harleen explained, Pamela looked inside to see $850 and it surprised her.
"You saved up all this money for me?" Pamela asked surprisely, Harleen nodded then Pamela pulled Harleen into a hug as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Harleen, I don't know how I can thank you." Pamela cried, Harleen smiled then the pair were about to get up and go to the lab when the news on the TV started.
"Breaking News: The criminal mastermind known as The Joker has attacked the Daily Planet and Superman has been taken out by the robot known as Metallo. Where are all the other heroes?" The reporter asked. Harleen and Pamela both looked at each other then Harleen walked into their bedroom.
"Harls, what are you doing?" Pamela asked as Harleen took out her old Harley Quinn costume then she took out her red and black baseball bat. "Don't tell me you're going out there to take him down?" Pamela asked, Harleen turned and looked at her girlfriend then walked over and held her hands.
"Babe, I don't think it's convince that the stupid clown from hell is here," Harleen told her then Pamela nodded, she walked over to the wardrobe and took out green leggings, a white blouse and a black leather jacket. "Are you coming with me, Ivy?" Harleen asked and Pamela nodded then kissed her girlfriend on her forehead.
"Harls, I told you that your problems are mine," Pamela reminded her which made Harleen smile. "I want you to be happy so let's go and take Joker down together." Pamela encouraged and Harleen nodded, the pair then decided to get suited up into their old criminal clothes.
Daily Planet:
On the top floor, Joker and his men had the top floor surrounded and taken hostages including Lois Lane and Superman. The clown prince of crime was about to point his gun at Lois but Supergirl flew in to stop him.
"Clown boy, what are you after?" Supergirl shouted as she hovered outside but the Joker just laughed at her then Metallo blasted her with Kryptonite.
"Sorry but superheroes that look like cheerleaders? Weak as hell!" Joker shouted, he was about to order Metallo to hit the Girl Of Steel again but from out of nowhere, several vines appeared and crushed the Kryptonite core in Metallo. "Oh, what now?" Joker shouted then he looked behind him to see two people he thought he wouldn't see again: Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.
"Hello again, jerkface!" Harley shouted with a smile as Ivy ran over to help Supergirl up on to her feet. "Why are you here?" Harley asked while she spun her baseball bat, Joker started laughing then looked at Harley.
"I did all of this to get to you!" Joker shouted with a smile on his face, Harley and Ivy stood alongside each other as they rolled their eyes. "Come back to me, Harley! Being a normal everyday person and being good? It doesn't suit you!" Joker shouted, Harley looked at her girlfriend then looked at Joker.
"I used to listen to everything you told me, but no more!" Harley shouted, she pointed her bat directly at Joker as she held Ivy's hand. "I'll do whatever it takes to stay with the one I love. And to be honest, I want to stop being Harley Quinn and just be Harleen Quinzel: normal everyday woman with the woman I love; Pamela Isley." Harley shouted and the speech made Ivy smile but Joker was furious.
"If that's what you think then we'll end you both!" Joker shouted, he snapped his fingers and his men started shooting at the girls. Joker's plan was stopped when Ivy caused several vines to appear and covered her, Harley and Supergirl from the bullets.
"Harls, catch!" Ivy shouted as she kicked over a pistol, Harley picked the gun up and shot the guns out of the goons' hands. "My turn!" Ivy smiled then used the vines to pick up the goons and pin them against the wall.
"Oh come on!" Joker shouted, he was about to shoot Lois but his gun flew out of his hand thanks to Harley hitting it with her bat. "Come on, Harley. You don't want to do this! I made you who you are." Joker told the woman but Harley kicked him into a desk then Ivy used her powers to hold Joker down as she released the hostages.
"You may have made me but I'm a better person thanks to the woman I love." Harley told the crown, Ivy walked over to Harley then kicked Joker in the face which knocked him out unconscious.
"Why did you two come here?" Harley and Ivy turned around to see Superman and Supergirl walking towards them. "You came for a fresh start but here you are; in your costumes and fighting Joker." Superman looked at the pair then he watched at Harley and Ivy turned and walked off.
"We only came to stop the clown," Ivy told the Supers as Harley opened the elevator. "Now we're going to leave and live our normal lives." Ivy and Harley then walked into the elevator and went to the ground floor.
Apartment:
After they returned and changed into normal clothes, Harleen and Pamela were sat in their living room with two glasses of red wine and chocolate. Pamela was about to put the TV on when the windows blew open and in flew Batman, the women flipped over their couch and stood ready.
"What do you want, Bats?" Harleen asked as she picked up her bat while Pamela used her powers to make her plants grow into several vines.
"Superman informed me that you two were at the Daily Planet," Batman started off as he walked towards the couple. "He and Supergirl then told me that you two took down Joker and saved them without killing or poisoning. I'm impressed." Batman told them then he looked around the apartment to see a lab in a room.
"Before you ask; that's mine." Pamela told the Bats as she walked over the room. "I've been trying to find a way to get rid of my powers." Pamela explained, Batman nodded as he looked at all the chemicals and equipment.
"I'm not here to arrest you or kick you out of the city," Batman told them which surprised both Harley and Ivy. "Someone's here with me to offer you two an offer." Batman turned around and in flew Black Canary and Catwoman.
"Hello again, Kitty," Harleen waved and Catwoman waved back. "So, what can we do for the Birds Of Prey?" Harleen asked, Catwoman and Black Canary smiled at the pair.
"We are here to ask if you would like to join us?" Black Canary asked, the offer surprised both Harleen and Pamela as they didn't expect to hear that.
"You would like us to join the Birds Of Prey?" Pamela asked as she pointed at herself and Harleen, both Black Canary and Catwoman nodded at them.
"What do you think, babe?" Harleen asked, Pamela looked at the three heroes then looked at her girlfriend.
"I think it would be a good idea," Pamela answered, Harleen looked at Pamela who was smiling like she had an idea. "Through all the bad things we've done, I think we should use this chance to rewrite our past crimes." Pamela encouraged and Harleen nodded as she liked the idea.
"We're in." Harleen told the three heroes, they nodded then they watched the pair walk into their bedroom and change into their suits. Few minutes later, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy walked out in their suits and stood ready for anything.
"So, when do we get started saving people?" Ivy asked with a smile, Harley nodded as she rested her bat on her shoulder. Batman nodded then he jumped out the window while Black Canary and Catwoman spoke to Harley and Ivy about the rules the group had.
Epilogue:
Several months later, Harley and Ivy were still fighting alongside the Birds Of Prey. They thought it was the best thing they would do and it was: they had made a bigger difference being heroes than villains. The couple had also moved into a bigger apartment thanks to Black Canary; it was in the posh part of Metropolis which they loved a lot.
A week later they had settled into their new apartment, Pamela had proposed to Harleen and she didn't couldn't say no to her girlfriend's marriage proposal. The two were in love and couldn't wait to get married but their personal life was short as they were also out with the other Birds protecting Gotham and Metropolis.
