RUN,FIGHT, RUN!
The injured animals brain screamed in pain and confusion
(Why why me? I leave the humans alone and they leave me alone that's how it works! What did I do?!)
Blinded by agony and fear it sprinted away from the people giving chase, the creature noticed the steel behemoth barreling down the road it was crossing too late and could only stare in horror as the eyes of the metal beast grew brighter and closer before slamming the animals damaged body mid stride sending it skidding into the ditch. Through blurred vision and waves of agony it could make out a figure coming to it. (So this is how I die...) It thought. Moments later everything turned to black as it faded out of conciseness.
Meanwhile a universe away
"Work you hunk of junk! I did not waste five thousand bucks to drag you back to the junkyard!" I screamed at the '72 Nova sitting in the garage. I sighed and headed inside "Hey mom? I'm gonna take the yellow pickup and go get some parts from manny's!" I yelled down the hall. "Alright but don't take too long, dinners almost done!" My mom called back. I slid into the seat of the poor yellow Dakota pickup my dad bought to check pivots and fired it up. Ten minutes later I was pulling into the local mechanics shop/junkyard and started looking for a replacement radiator. I decided on ripping out the radiator from the wrecked nova hid in the weeds left forty dollars on the mechanic's desk and threw the part in the bed of the pickup. On the way home I hit a washout and was yanked into the ditch, my head cracked on the steering wheel and my mind left me.
