Charles Bennett is the lone survival of an otherworldly attack against his comrades on a planet far away from home. To escape his planetary prison and exact revenge on his enemies, he must push the boundaries of his humanity, and rip and tear through any obstacle before him. He'll need few emotions to live in the years to come, but anger will prove to be his greatest weapon.

Hi there!

This is a note from this story's writer, A Wild Writer Appears (or AWWA). I'm writing this quick little disclaimer to tell all potential readers what this story will be like. First and foremost, although this story will be based in the universe of DOOM, it won't be one you're used to. I will be drawing elements from the original series, but this is my own head-cannon.

Some characters from the DOOM games will be present, others will not, some might have different names or be different people, etc. Of course, this will contain all basic components needed for a DOOM-like tale, such as the Doomguy, portals to hell, the UAC, mass destruction, and lots of blood. Lots of blood - but don't get too upset if a specific plot point from the DOOM games isn't present in my interpretation. Quite a few probably won't be. I'm not reconstructing the DOOM series in a third person story format. In fact, it's more like I've got a DOOM brand LEGO set, as well as a bag of some other sets that I've crammed all into one pile. No, I won't be making something that's going to mix in demons and colorful rainbows, but I won't be following the instruction booklet either.

I'm also writing this story as I go. I have most major plot points saved up in my head, but I don't have some typed-out outline for any of it. Once I post a chapter, I most likely won't be editing anything in those chapters either (excluding writing or continuity errors). So, if I end up veering this story into some traffic-filled lane of hot garbage, that sucks - but I have at least 75% confidence in myself to not do that.

It should also go without saying that this story will contain lots of violence, blood, and adult language which might be inappropriate for certain viewers.

With that out of the way, I think that's it - you are now ready to proceed on and read my alternate DOOM universe, titled:
