"It won't... budge!" shouted Silver.
"We're not gonna make it!" Shadow exclaimed.
Sonic grunted, and then an idea popped into his head. "I need you guys to hold this!" he shouted. "Just for a couple seconds!"
"Huh? What are you gonna do?" Silver asked him.
"We're leaving." Sonic said simply. He let go of the ball and flew up into the sky.
The ball began falling even faster now, making Silver and Shadow's bodies burn even more. Below them, a battered Tails and Knuckles watched in fear as the ball came even closer to them.
"What's Sonic doing?" Knuckles questioned. "He should be helping them!"
"I..." Tails was speechless.
Sonic closed his eyes spread his arms out. energy began to pour out of his body.
A yellow orb surrounded Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver. Sonic grunted and let out a roar as streams of energy came from his chest and went to who knows where.
"Sonic, whatever you're doing, you need to hurry it up!" Silver yelled.
Sonic opened his eyes and threw his hands in the air. "Chaos Control!"
And just like that, Shadow, Silver, Tails, Sonic and Knuckles all disapeared in a flash of light. The energy ball, with no resistance, slammed right into the ground and exploded, comepletely destroying the planet.
