Life in the Big City
Ok, so here's the thing, while I am not normally into the whole modern AU HTTYD stories, I have actually read part of the story Bad Dragon by HeathenVampires and found it to be pretty good and it inspired me to try something like it for myself.
So, here's what I'm going to do. I am going to make and post this chapter. If it goes over well, then I'll consider making more.
One last thing, this story takes place in New York City, USA.

Hiccup stood outside the shop, feeling nervous as ever, wondering if he should even go inside. He looks up at the sign above his head that read, "Berk Rubber Emporium." in big, red letters.
Why was he so nervous about going inside? Well, the simple fact is that this store is a dildo shop, one that he had read about online and is said to have quite the reputation around the city for it's unique designs.
To explain further, Hiccup grew up on a farm outside Buffalo, New York with his parents, although all his life he had dreams of moving to the big city and starting a life there, so after college he found a one bedroom apartment in a fairly cheap area of the city, packed up his things and left, leaving behind his parents, friends that he grew up with and of course his old boyfriend who he had to break up with as he wasn't that much of a fan of the whole long distance relationship thing.
He had been living at his new apartment for about two weeks now and has already made a few friends with his neighbors who found out he was gay and recommended that he checks out the shop that he was currently standing in front of.
After putting some thought into it and doing a bit of research online, he figured why the hell not? He had quite a bit of money left over from the move so he might as well spend it on something fun and unique.
The problem was that he had never been to a sex shop before nor has ever even held a dildo, but through porn he has seen that they can be fun so he thought he'd try it out.
The shop itself was located in a part of the city that didn't really get a lot of foot traffic so he knew there wasn't much chance anyone would see him go inside, not that he actually knew anyone other than his neighbors.
He nervously grabs the handle for the door and in a quick move, opens it to see that the rumors were true. The store seemed a bit larger on the inside than it was on the outside and inside there were shelves lined with all sorts of dildos ranging in size, shape and color. Some had unique features like a bulb on the end or barbs, some pretty much just looked like large human dicks, it was pretty hard for him to decide what he actually wanted.
Soon, he heard a girl's voice say, "Hi. Welcome to Berk Rubber Emporium." He looks to his right and sees a blonde haired, blue eyed girl who he swore that if he wasn't gay he likely would've gone right for. Her name tag read, 'Astrid,' and she was carrying a box of what he had to assume was more dildos. She says to Hiccup, "Is this your first time here?"
Hiccup blinked a few times before he could come up with a response. "Uh, y-yeah, this is my first time coming here."
Astrid smiled and says, "Great! Good to have you here. Do you need any help or do you have an idea of what you're looking for?"
Hiccup nervously replies with, "Oh...uh…I actually don't really know what I'm looking for, if I'm being honest."
Astrid chuckles a little at his obvious inexperience. "Ok then. You know what? I'm actually still kind of new here, why don't I get my coworker? He knows about this stuff way more than I do."
Hiccup nods and says, "Ok, that sounds good. Yeah."
Before Astrid walks away, she says to Hiccup, "I'm Astrid, by the way. Although I think my nametag kind of gave that away."
Hiccup chuckles to this. "Yeah, sort of. I'm, uh, Hiccup."
Astrid nods. "Nice to meet you Hiccup. Alright, let me go find my coworker." With that, she walks off.
While Astrid goes to look for this coworker, Hiccup decides to browse the shelves a little. Some of the designs, he actually couldn't believe could fit in someone's butt, but then again he has seen some interesting porn in the past.
About a minute later, he hears a deep voice asking, "Hey, you the guy Astrid was talking about?"
Hiccup snapped out of his daze when he heard the voice. He looks next to him and sees a 6 foot tall man that was the definition of gorgeous.
This man had dark skin, trimmed black hair, and the most gorgeous green eyes he had ever seen. They nearly shinned like emeralds, they almost seemed unreal. The man wore a red tank top and blue jeans, but the one thing that he especially noticed was that he was a HUNK. It looked like every inch on his body was composed of hard muscle, it was like he has worked out every day since he was born. The man looks down at Hiccup's 5'3 figure and says, "You the newbie?"
Hiccup had no words, he just couldn't help but stare at this hunk of a man that stood in front of him. He soon snapped out of his stare and stuttered while saying, "Uh…y-yes that's m-me. I-I'm Hiccup."
The man smiles and says, "Awesome. The name's Trevor, but around here people call me Toothless."
This got a raised brow from Hiccup. "Toothless? Why do they call you that?"
Toothless explains, "Well, my father is a dentist and people call him The Big Tooth, but when people found out that I didn't want to go into the family business, they said that I was pretty much Toothless and the name kind of just stuck. Anyway, you want me to help you find something you might be interested in?"
Hiccup nods so Toothless begins to walk towards some of the wall shelves. As Toothless walked away to go browse some dildos with Hiccup, Hiccup couldn't help but notice that Toothless had a very significant limp. He thought it might be rude to just outright ask him about it, so he just let it go for now and follows him.
As they were walking, Toothless explains, "So, as you can see we have dildos of just about every animal you can think of. Be it feline, canine, equine, bovine, you'd be surprised at how popular pig and boar dildos are."
They get to a shelf lined with lots of humanoid designed dildos. "For most newbies I like to recommend one of our primate models. They're the closest things to human dicks so I figure it's the best thing for those who just want to try it out."
He plucks a blue dildo from the wall. "Take this one for example. 6 ½ inches from base to tip, and inch in girth, silicone based, most of the dildos here are silicone based, and it's pretty much just like a human's. Here, why don't you give that one a feel, just remember we don't offer free trials." He winks to that.
Hiccup blushes and nervously takes the dildo from Toothless. He runs his hands along the shaft and squeezes it to find that it was quite firm. "Wow." He comments. "It's uh…firm."
Toothless comments back, "Well it isn't lube so I would imagine it to be firm."
Hiccup moves the dildo around a bit and says, "Uh, it's a bit flexible though. That's interesting."
Toothless nods. "Yeah, we find that a somewhat flexible shaft leads to quite the pleasurable experience. Well, what do you think?"
Hiccup looks to Toothless, then down to the dildo before putting it back on the shelf and saying, "Uh, I think I might want something a little more…adventurous. If that's ok."
Toothless nods. "Fine by me. And hey, if I was one to judge, I wouldn't be working in a sex shop. Ok, let's see what we can find." He starts to walk to another nearby shelf. "Well, if you want something more unique, our canine models are a good start, that is if you think you can handle the knot."
Hiccup gets a look of confusion and asks, "Knot? What's a knot?"
Toothless plucks a red dildo off the shelf to demonstrate. "This. This bulb right at the base. It's a very common thing amongst dogs and wolves. Basically the purpose is to prevent the one that you're penetrating from running away as you're dumping your load into them. Anyway what do you think?"
Hiccup was about to respond when he noticed something just behind that shelf, a room that had a red curtain in front of it. "Uh, what's that?" He points to the room.
Toothless looks to where Hiccup was pointing and gets a big grin on his face. "Oh. Interested in THAT room are we?"
Hiccup simply nods.
Toothless puts the dildo back and limps over towards the room. "You see, my skinny friend, a lot of sex shops have something that makes them unique. Some places have lower prices or higher end materials but here at Berk, we've got something even better. We have…dragons."
Toothless opens the curtains and reveals the room. In it was the most uniquely designed dildos Hiccup had ever seen. Some had bumps running along them, one had something like a knot but at the tip, some had two even four shafts connected at the base, the list goes on and on.
"Dragons?" Hiccup asks, calling back to Toothless's previous comment.
"Yeah you know. Big, scaly, sharp teeth, breathe fire, can fly." Toothless replies.
Hiccup blinks then says, "I-I know what dragons are I've just…never seen…you know."
"Never seen a dragon dick before?"
"Well…yeah. I mean, I suppose that's because they…well…don't exist."
This gets a chuckle out of Toothless. "Well, no duh they don't exist but, still, it's good to imagine. Here, let me show you around."
They start to walk around the room. In front of each dildo was a card showing a picture of the dragon it would belong to. Hiccup had to stop a few times to look at some of them.
There was a blue dildo that was covered in spikes and the picture showed a blue dragon with a yellow crown of spikes on its head, a red tapered dildo with a picture of a red dragon with long horns, a long snout and hooked fangs in front of it, a tan dildo that was stumpy and covered in bumps whose picture showed a tan dragon with a fat head, tiny ears and a wide jaw and finally a green dildo with two shafts that had a photo of a green, two headed dragon with horns on top of each head.
Of course each dragon had a species name on the card as well. The blue one said 'Deadly Nadder', the red said 'Monstrous Nightmare', the tan said 'Gronckle', and the green said 'Hideous Zippleback'. Very interesting names in Hiccup's opinoin
As they were walking, Toothless explains, "Yeah so, this is our dragon room. We've only had it for about two months now but it has become our most popular area to date. I guess people are just really curious as to what a dragon dick would feel like. Well, if you see-"
"What's this one?" Hiccup asks, pointing to a dildo that for whatever reason, caught his attention more than any of them.
The dildo itself was all black but with a circle of red towards the base on the left side. It was about a foot in length, an inch in girth which didn't even include the 2 ½ inch knot, and had two bumps lining the underside. The photo card showed a black dragon with green eyes, six nubs going around its head, and a wide mouth
Toothless smiles upon seeing what Hiccup was looking at and says, "Oh yeah, that's one of our newest models. Right now it's the only one of its kind, we're just putting it here to see if anyone wants to take it and if people start requesting it, we'll sell more of it. Anyway we call it the Night Fury."
"Night Fury." Hiccup says as he picks the dildo up to examine it from a closer view. He couldn't explain it but there was something about this dildo that just…clicked in his mind. Made him feel…complete. He asks, "How much is it?"
Toothless replies, "Right now, we're holding it at about $50, but since you're so cute and a first timer, I might just apply my employee discount."
Hiccup couldn't help but blush at such a generous offer. The full price would've no doubt blown most of his budget but an employee discount might just help him out. He looks to Toothless with a smile and says, "I'll take it."
Toothless smiles at this. "Excellent. I'll ring you up." They both walk to the register where Toothless scans the dildo and types something on the computer. "Ok, so the Night Fury, employee discount added, that will be $20." Hiccup pulls out his wallet and hands Toothless the money where he proceeds to open the register and put it in.
Toothless then asks, "Would you like a bag for this?"
Hiccup quickly says, "Yes."
Toothless chuckles at this and grabs a bag. He puts the dildo in and says, "Alright, and you know what? I'm going to throw in a small bottle of our specialty lube plus one more thing." He puts both items in the bag and hands it to Hiccup.
Hiccup opens the bag and pulls out the extra thing Toothless put in there which turned out to be a slip of paper with some numbers on it. His eyes widen and he asks, "Is this…your phone number?"
Toothless winks. "Give me a call sometime, cutie. Shop closes at 5 so I can see you any day past then."
Hiccup looks down at the number and nods before picking up the bag and heading out. Once he exits the door, his mind couldn't help but ask, "What the hell just happened?"
Alright, there it is. First chapter done. So yeah, I don't know if I'm going to make more of this series, I'm just going to post this chapter and see how well it does and, if you all seem to like it, I will make more. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon.
