She looked around the ground of Namimori High School before tentatively stepping past the gates. 'You can do this! First day of classes,' she chanted to herself, slightly giving herself a pep talk before walking past the unfamiliar ground of the school. The school seemed normal enough. Kids walked past her in uniform as they chatted with their friends about the latest games that came out and laughed with each other.
She walked towards the main office and slid the door open. She waited until someone acknowledged her presence before asking for help. "Ah, hello. I'm new here and was wondering if i could get my room assignment." The teacher asked her name then looked for information on his computer and told her she was to be in classroom 2-A.
"You'll be in my class," the teacher told her. "Good luck with your first day of classes and just keep in mind, follow the rules closely. Go ahead and follow me, and I will introduce you to the class."
She bowed to the teacher, "Ah, thank you very much, sensei." She waited a few minutes on the side while the teacher finished up some things and then as he walked out, she followed behind. She began to feel her hands get clammy, her breath quickened as they got closer to the door.
"Don't be nervous, it'll be a good first day for you," the teacher said. "Come into the class with me." The teacher opened the sliding door and walked inside, she followed suit. "Hello class, as you all have heard, we have a new student joining us today. Please make her feel welcome."
She looked up and smiled widely and met eyes with one person whose eyes, in turn, became really big. "Hello, my name is Sawada Tsunayuki. Please call me Yuki. I hope we all become good friends."
"Ahh, Dame-Tsuna has a sister?"
"I mean, she's pretty cute though"
"But does that mean we have another Dame-Tsuna?"
Yuki cut off the people who were talking, "I'd appreciate it if you didn't call my brother Dame-Tsuna." Her eyes narrowed icily at those who were speaking ill about her brother and they shut up. "It's rude enough to call him that but to call him that in front of someone you just met that happens to be his sister? How disrespectful."
The teacher coughed slightly and pointed to a seat near the back of the classroom, "The seat there is open. Go ahead and take a seat so we can begin class." Yuki nodded and said a quick "thank you" before walking to the seat. The teacher started to drone about history and classes went on.
It was finally time for lunch and Yuki closed her eyes and stretched before sensing that someone was walking towards her. She smiled noticing that it was her brother and she jumped up and gave him a big hug. "Ah! Yuki! I'm so happy you're finally back from school!" She laughed a little big as she let go of her brother.
"Tsuna, I'm so happy that I'm home," Yuki's smile stayed on her face. "I missed you and mom so much. It's so lonely just being around dad all the time." She noticed her brother's eyes bug out a little bit after the mention of her father.
"You were with dad?!" Tsuna gawked. Yuki nodded back. "What were you do-"
Tsuna got cut off by an arm that slung around his neck, "Yo, Tsuna, you didn't tell us you had a sister." The boy that had his arms around Tsuna was a tan-skinned guy with dark, black hair. His smile seemed contagious as he reached out a hand to Yuki. "Hi, I'm Yamamoto Takeshi. One of Tsuna's friends." Yuki smiled as she reached her hand in return, shaking his.
"Hey! Stop bothering the Tenth and his sister!" A silver haired boy yelled at Yamamoto. "Hello Juudaime's sister, I'm Gokudera Hayato, your brother's right hand man."
Tsuna's eyes widened since he didn't want his sister knowing anything about the mafia or the Vongola. "Gokudera!" He exclaimed, wanting to divert his sister's attention away from Gokudera's words.
Yuki laughed at the two friends Tsuna had made. It seemed she didn't need to worry about him as much as she thought she needed to. "Hi, Gokudera-kun, Yamamoto-kun. It's nice to meet you and I'm happy that Tsuna seems to have made such good friends while I wasn't here."
Tsuna asked Yuki if she wanted to eat lunch together to which Yuki responded gleefully. Of course, she wanted to talk to her brother so much more. They had lost so much time while they were apart but Yuki knew it was for good reason. They talked about what they had been up to in the past couple years since they went to different schools and Tsuna wanted to know more.
"Yuki, how was school for you?" Tsuna asked his sister.
She shrugged, "School is school. To be honest, it was a lot harder than the classes here because at the international school, they had Interbacculaureate classes which were a pain. The tests were super hard. How about you Tsuna, has anything new happened in peaceful Namimori?"
She wanted to see if her brother would mention anything about the Vongola or the Mafia but of course, she thought, why would that be the first thing that comes to his head to actually tell me about? It's a weird subject just to be like "oh yeah, by the way, I'm apparently in the mafia". There was no way that would be a normal conversation.
"Nothing really," her brother responded. "Everything has been the same since you've been gone. I just made some good friends. But you know, you and dad coming back makes so much sense why mom is cooking so much" he deadpanned at the last part. The siblings laughed as they finished lunch together and then went back to class.
