It had been a long week that left Anastasia questioning her future. She remembered how Christian reacted to her pregnancy scare and how he said he wasnt ready for kids. She thought long and hard about it and realized she wasn't ready for kids yet, if ever. She was secretly relieved when the pregnancy test was negative. She loved her life as it was. Kids would certainly throw a wrench in that. No walking around in the nude or spontaneous sex. Hell, all the changes pregnancy does to a womans body, she shuddered thinking about it. Mia certainly didnt come out unscathed.
Anastasia was hesitant to use the term childfree, but the more she applied it to herself in her head the more right it felt. She finally had a word to go with her feelings and decision she made. She was surprised to find so many chose to forgo children and they were quite happy, living their best lives. Ana certainly wanted to keep living her best life.
She sent a text to Christian, asking him to meet her at their favorite cafe. Ana was finally going to broach the topic is sterilization to him, hoping he would be okay with a vasectomy. Ana saw a lot of childfree couples that were both sterilized and it seemed extra safe and a little romantic. Christian agreed and said he'd be there in 15 minutes. Ana rushes to her audi-8 and races there.
She makes it there a few minutes late, she sashayed up to him and took a seat. "Hi baby" she greeted him with a large grin. Christian's annoyance melted away. "You're late." He said before leaning over the small table and kissing her. "I wasn't expecting you to come right away." Ana said fidgeting in her chair. Christian arched a brow, "Everything okay, Ana?" He asked. "Yea, yeah." She quickly assured him. "I went ahead and ordered for us, baby." He said with a smile. "Thanks, love. You're always so thoughtful." She took a sip of coffee and steeled herself for what she was about to say
"A-anyway, I asked you here to talk about something. Remember how you said you didn't like the idea of kids? At first it broke my heart and I wasn't sure if I could go on without being a mother. But as time passed I realized I was okay with being childless. The more I thought about it the more it made since. I don't want to be a mother. I don't want any children in any form. I'm childfree now, Christian. I want to keep our lives the way they are. I don't want to share you with anyone else. To be honest I see where you were coming from and I'm glad we're finally on the same page. So with that off my chest, Christian, would you be willing to get a vasectomy?" She asked, waiting for his reaction.
He stared at her for a moment. "Can't you stay on birth control?" He asked, breaking the tense silence. "No, Christian. I don't want to be on birth control anymore. I personally feel better without it. Besides it's not 100% effective and I don't want to have to get an abortion if it fails." She said, gripping his hand anxiously.
"If it's this important to you then I'll talk to my doctor about it. Are you absolutely sure, Anastasia? There's no going back." Christian said carefully in a serious tone. Ana sighed in relief, visibly relaxing. "I'm sure honey, I've been thinking about it for months. I was thinking about getting sterilized as well. For myself. And I think it would be romantic if we both were as an extra commitment to each other." She said stroking his hand with her thumb.
Christian smiled warmly at her. "You're right, that is romantic." He purred. "I'm glad you like our life as it is, Anastasia Grey. I love you." Ana got up and hugged him. "This means so much to me, Christian." She said in the crook of his neck. "I'm glad we made the right choice for us, baby. I was worried there for a little while. I don't think I could have caved on having kids but I want to make you happy. What I'm trying to say is I'm relieved." He whispered to her. Ana quietly giggled. "Oh, Christian, let's go make love and then jet ski or some shit " Ana suggested excitedly, trailing her hand down his chest. Christian picked her up and started walking to his car. "Wait! My coffee!" She precariously picked it up and cradled it to her chest. "Now we can go." She laughed. "I'm gonna have fun punishing you, my little kleptomaniac. Christian purred in her ear, sending goosebumps down her spine.
